Historical Landmark. It is in front of the original gate of Rajshahi University.

Dr. Shamsuzzoha was killed in this place. Mohammad Shamsuzzoha was a martyr in the Anti-Ayub mass movement in 1969. From the closing of 1968 Anti-Ayub movement began to get momentum. At one stage of the movement student leader asaduzzaman was killed by the army on 20 January 1969, and Sergeant Jahurul Haq, an accused in the agartala conspiracy case, was killed in Dhaka Cantonment on 15 February 1969.

It is situated near the Rajshahi University Main Gate. In the memory of Dr. Shamsuzzoha the Zoha Memorial was built. It's a historical place. Dr. Zoha was the first university teacher in erstwhile Bangladesh who was killed by the Pakistani Military forces at the eve of 1969 revolution movement of East Pakistan, which ultimately became the Bangladesh Liberation War.

This is the memorial in the memory of Professor Dr. Shamsuzzoha who was tortured by the Pakistani Soldiers during the liberation war of Bangladesh.He wanted to protect his beloved students and told to the Pakistani soldiers that if they have to torture the students they must go first torturing him.This was really a rare example for the love of teacher for his students.He is buried just in front of the administration building of University of Rajshahi.

It's a historical place. Dr. Zoha was the first university teacher in erstwhile Bangladesh who was killed by the Pakistani Military forces at the eve of 1969 revolution movement of East Pakistan, which ultimately became the Bangladesh Liberation War. He was buried on front of the administration building of Rajshahi University. His death added a new dimension in the anti-Ayub mass movement, as well as the fall of Ayub government was quickened. A student hall of the University of Rajshahi was named as Shaheed Shamsuzzoha Hall in commemoration of his highest sacrifice for the cause of the nation.

In the memory of Dr. Shamsuzzoha sir the Zoha Memorial were built. He was killed by Pakistan Army during the Independent war to saved students.

This is one of the historical place which is related to the history of Bangladesh. 'Dr. Joha' is a person who sacrificed his life for the want of justice of the students.
