The abattoir is built quite a bit higher than the plain. A round concrete altar is built around a large well inside. A 42-feet high brick pillar rises from the depths of the well. This pillar is a piece of history of Bengali liberation war. Terrible memories of the hellish massacre of Pakistani forces and their countrymen. The Slaughterhouse Monument stands as a witness to the sacrifice of countless unknown martyrs.

That is disappointing also disrespectful.

During the liberation war of 1971, mass graves were given here. It is established to protect his memory. Also it is a quiet place university in Rajshahi. It was a place for Public Execution during the liberation war of 1971. It's placed inside Rajshahi University. Standing there, it sent me shivers to think that many people were killed and dumped in this place. It was a bit crowded and all the people I saw were couples except for us. It was such a dreadful thing to think that people would choose this important place for a date.

A nice memorial and the cemetery of our freedom fighters on Liberation War of 1971 against the Pakistan (Old West Pakistan). The Pakistani Military killed our fighters and inhumed some of them here. So this is a public graveyard or cemetery located in east side of Rajshahi University. Nice place to bring family and children. Neat and clean surface with green area covered in various trees and flowers.
