YUK! The cleanliness was at a 3rd world level. I have had cleaner and better-appointed rooms in far worse locations in North America and abroad. For the price, the level of dirtiness and lack of basic furnishings was a real disappointment. There were spider webs in the back window, mold on the shower curtain, stained grout, unwashed shower tiles (as evidenced by curly hairs and dried shampoo spots on the tiles), stained towels (only 2 provided, which is also a shame), no bedbug covers on the mattresses, heavily stained mattress (I mean like someone had an accident), stained and dirty top covers, poorly functioning air-conditioner, there were smudges on the wall by the bed, and even a dead bug left smashed on the wall. That was just the inside. The grounds were not that impressive also. I would be deeply ashamed to be the one who allows this level of lack of care and attention, and level of dirtiness to be the norm. Time for a deep clean, yet I wouldn’t hold your breath. Definitely not worth the $150 per night. $40 per night may be more in line with what you get. Misleading pictures online as they seem to show a 'dated' yet well-cared-for hotel, yet that is not the case. At least the beds were reasonably comfortable and the front desk staff friendly. The rest was just yuk!

I give this place a 0. I do not recommend this place at all, even if it may be cheaper than others, it is better for your well-being and health to go somewhere else for a couple bucks more. First of, as soon as we entered the hotel room it absolutely reeked off rot and smoke which was unpleasant as we had chosen a non-smoke room. One of the bed frames was completely broken and it was not possible to sit on the bed without banging your head. Generally, the beds were quite dirty and very uncomfortable. The sheets and covers that were provided were very dirty and not usable. If you are coming to this hotel, bring your own covers and sheets and pillow sheets. Also, the floor (carpet) was extremely dirty and I would recommend bringing an extra pair of shoes or slip-ons to wear around the room. During our stay, there was a notice just for this place; a water advisory letting us know that the water in the bathroom was not usable, mentioning that you can get very ill if you drink it, and that you had to roll the boiling water before using it. The first night, there was hot tap water but for the rest of our stay, it was just cold water for both the tap and the shower (plus the shower curtain was full of dirt and mud). This was very inconvenient because we couldn't even brush our teeth or even use it to begin with. We had to buy water bottles which was an additional expense. Please do not come to this place. I was also very confused on why they even took a deposit when everything was terrible service. I don't think this place should be taking deposits when their service is bad. Book somewhere else.

Terrible experience! Roof leaking onto bed, bathroom faucet broken, no towels, non-smoking room smelled of smoke! Extra bonus, got in late so couldn't complain because no one at office after 9! No answer when we tried to call number posted! Luckily we got keys at 3 and went to event or we wouldn't have been able to get our keys. Lucky or unlucky? Don't stay here.

I booked a room on Aug 3 night (11pm) Based on the given information by your  employee (Omit), In 3am of Aug 4, I put the key in the box which was hanging from the office wall. Since 9am, I received several calls from the office,a Persian lady told me she  can not find a key in the room. I explained that I put the key in the box,she said she is going to check the box and will call me back. In her next call, she mentioned that she was the one who checked the box in the morning but she didn't see a key for room22. I asked her to check with other employees, maybe they check the box before her. She called back again and said nobody had been checked the box. She said,if I want, I can come to the office tomorrow, pay 100 dollars cash then they would release the 200dollar deposit that they kept but it returns to my account next week. I mentioned, maybe someone took the key from the box,as the hanger of the key didn't go properly to the box. She became so aggressive and told me in that case I can't give you any money to back, because in that case the key has been stolen.she said she is so busy and has to hang up. I asked her why you are not checking the cameras, she said they are not working! I checked my confirmation email. In this email mentioned that, for loosing a key, penalty is 75$. Now, why are your employees taking 200deposit? This looks really weird. I'm so unhappy with this. It means that costumer has to record when they are dropping off the key because your business can not do their job properly. ______________ Part 2 few hours after adding the first part of review: I received a phone message from the same Persian lady, she mentioned that they found the missing key! And she asked me to return to the hotel with the same card ,then she can refund my 200$ . I have never before in my life experienced such bizarre customer service ,disrespectful.

I checked in on Friday (3rd February 2017) into room #5.There were 4 of us but the room that we had only had 2 towels. Tried to get fresh towels but they didn't have enough. My neighbour (in room 4) was kind enough to provide fresh towels. i never got to properly know him and thank him so thank you kind Samaritan. Hope he reads this review. Overall , in satisfied with my stay ( clean bed and bathroom).

Very bad. It smelled, the walls were falling apart, and when we asked for a non-smoking room we got a smoking room instead. The shower curtains didn't hold up, the bathroom floor was wet the second we stepped in. Never going here again!

For me the biggest bummer, was that the room stank after sigaret smoke. Also the bathroom wasn't the cleanest either. The windows, furniture, just the entire room could use a make over. Also the airco wasn't cleaned out in a long time, if not ever. I wanted to give it 1 star but the boy who worked there was so friendly and helpful, he deserves the second star.

Our stay was for a couple nights in July 2022. We got room 26. The room/bathroom was clean, the water pressure in the shower was okay, the bedding was clean, beds and pillows were comfortable. The staff were nice and friendly. It was nice and quiet, didn’t even notice the traffic off Yonge St. However, the room smelled a bit smoky even though I asked for a non smoking room. The the front door was so badly warped that you should see outside at the top and bottom of the door when it was fully closed, so I don’t recommend this room during the colder days of the year. The only amenity I really missed from a traditional hotel was the in-room coffee.

I don't know how you can post a 5-star review with services this bad. They're probably fake people, because the stuff in there is a 0 star. Literally. I'd rather go to a homeless shelter, because the water didn't even work, the beds were broken and disgusting, bodily fluids everywhere, oh, and there were, what, nineteen, sixty bugs in there. Do NOT recommend going here.

Stayed in #29 farthest back right unit closest to the bushes. 2 big beds, both clean with clean linens and fittings. There was a nice little minifridge although i never used it. The tv was a nice touch because once i got it working you wouldnt believe what it had in store for me: The Equalizer Part 1 & 2, and with all the commercials too. It was good stuff. I arrived late because i wasnt familiar with the area and the staff were very understanding. I called ahead multiple times to confirm id be there a little late and they were there to see me in at 11:30pm. It was also nice to see some snacks and drinks at the reception area because i didnt have a bunch of money for pizza or any of that and didnt know where any of the 24hr conveniences were or if there were any open at the time. Im giving it a 5 star because i see alot of negative reviews and this being my first and only stay at which i booked very last minute, it was surprisingly pleasant. The staff were quite helpful with anything i needed or had questions about and the room i got was well above expectation for the price, especially given my next best option would have been an 8 bed shared dormitory at the only backpackers inn.

i guarantee that anyone who gave a 5* review didn't actually stay there and is fraudulent. it is so unbelievably disgusting: the room hadn't been cleaned from the previous person, the comforter was really old and looked and smelled disgusting, there were cobwebs, stains, and must and other ancient smells. the pictures on google are glorified and misleading, it's a real hole. it's only an extra $15-25 a night at a reasonable hotel.

this place is genuinely a 0 star, consider a homeless shelter instead, and im just being honest. atleast a homeless shelter has clean drinking water and basic cleaning. i mean theres literally bugs here like that is insane, it feels like the disgusting nyc movie motel, there was literally vomit still in the toilet from the previous tenants also... i found out the water is toxic and went to the reception desk to buy a drink and they ignored me and said "were closed" and wouldnt open the door. which left me in a position to drink toxic water in my rancid smelling room with bugs on the bed, did not sleep for a minute. how dare they ask for a deposit

Please d0nt go here it’s so disgusting and pathetic. People trying to get in my room at 2:33 am !!! And regardless of that I promise you’ll find a bug if not under the covers they’ll be beside the bed on the floor, probably feeding off of the bodily fluid stains on carpet and mattress, it was honestly a terrifying horrible and disgusting visit, worst night of my life and I mean that from the bottom of my heart because I stayed up all night sitting on a chair avoiding the bugs and staying alert for whatever creep was (quietly) trying to get into my room. I would’ve left if it wasn’t winter and dark.

The room was filthy. There was long curly hair and crumbs all over the bed sheets. Muddy footprints all over the floor. Unvacuumed carpet. Sticky grimy walls. Broken towel bar with pointy shards. Mountains of thick dust on all of the light switches. I felt like I was living in a horror show. I complained three times to the hotel and no one responded. I would like my money back.

Unsafe, unclean, smoke smell all over room, used and ripped bedding sheets, bugs in the room, left after 15 mins after check in and they still have the audacity to charge you for one night. This place should be taken off expedia platform. I rather sleep in the streets.

I've been there a few times. The rooms have been updated, they're also very big and spacious. The rooms are always very clean. Friendly staff. We would most definitely go back. I have also referred this place to so many people that I know. I also had family and friends stay there every time they would come to Canada or when visiting that area. I recommend this place to anyone. Thank you for your support and service.

Stay elsewhere. I have never experienced such bad service in a hotel. It tries to market itself as a luxury hotel but is far from it. I have had people walk into my room while I was sleeping more than once. The hot water didn't work for an entire day. The AC in my grandma's room didn't work (we were there end of July). Staff is very unprofessional (which you can see just by looking at the responses they provide to bad reviews on trip adviser where they're defensive rather than offering to make things right). They don't help you with luggage or any regular hotel services and accommodations without having to insist and charging you for everything. During my stay I have met many guests who were extremely disappointed. If you tell staff you like something they immediately ask you to leave a review. Truly horrible environment.

The word 'Disappointment' is an understatement with my recent experience here. Or should I even use that word, because that would mean staying here was the given. Actually, I was never given my key, and had to find a different hotel! The front desk closes at 9:30, which is understandable for a small hotel, but I told them weeks ahead of time with my Expedia account that I'm going to be late, and could someone stay up to check me in? Then on the way I was stuck in a rain storm in Hamilton and I called to say I'm going to be later still. It went to voicemail, but no call back. Then when I got there, the door was locked, denying me the room that I paid for, essentially leaving me homeless for a night. I can't give a firsthand review of the rooms, since I never got one, but one guest that night said he's thinking about leaving because the roof leaked and rain got all over his bed and he can't sleep. I got a few messages from the hotel after my would-be visit thanking me for choosing them, without considering the dozens of calls from me and an Expedia agent saying they locked me out, and have they noticed that they never given me my room key? I usually don't like to be all negative, but if you were to go here, make sure you check in by 9:30, because they don't give exceptions.

So bad the hotel , when I arrive the hotel at 9:30 . they have left the office . And don’t tell me before. The first time I meet so bad hotel . They charge my money from Expedia and don’t want to give back the money to me . Never come to this hotel again.

We had a great stay. The place was clean, beds were comfortable, and appliances were functional. The staff are also honest and very helpful. I left my laptop charger in the room after checking out, and the lady at the front desk did her best to find my charger and contacted me when she found it. Very appreciative of the place and their staff.

Nice room for a great price. It was clean and quiet. We had a mini fridge in our room. Free wifi

  • 2/5 Rania H. 6 years ago on Google
The room was okay, mostly clean. I personally found the bed comfortable, it's quite firm. Bathroom could use updating, or at least some cleaning. Faucets and shower have stains. A fridge, microwave, and large tv were available. Only used the fridge, but nice to have those available. Heads up: There's a notice in the bathroom from the health department about increased sodium levels in the water. Four of us stayed in a room with two towels. They do *not* provide washcloths or hand towels, only large towels. We asked management for more and received two. Asked housekeeping for one more, and she threw a fit over a towel. Decent rooms, poor hospitality.

Found a syringe under the sink in the bathroom....other than that, wasn't terrible. You can tell it was an old motel.

  • 1/5 V T. 1 year ago on Google
I wished I could give a zero or no star. Walked in to a poorly patched ceiling from water leakage. Looked like the they over filled the hole in one shot and it was going to melt. Over the bed. The walls patched and they forgot to sand it and there were multiple areas on the walls that looked like someone peed all over it and the drips dried. Cob web were in the corner of the washroom. There was a clear plastic cup with tissues and brown stains under the washroom sink. Potato bugs were seen in the bathroom floors. It was hands down a murder scene. I traveled alot and been to alot of hotels, motels, ins and by far .. this is the worst. Just ... Absolutely filthy.

  • 1/5 Erin G. 5 years ago on Google
Only good things...the Wifi, air conditioner, and water pressure in the shower. The front desk attendant though, he was nice. Only had 2 towels (no hand towel or face cloth). Warning about possible high sodium levels in the water was still posted in the bathroom, but free bottles of water available in the office/lobby. You get what you pay for... but this was Not worth $100! If you just need a bed and don't care, then you'll have no prob.

This place is a dump. Room was dirty. Furniture was worn out and filthy. The room stank so bad and the bathtub was brown! I left after 30 minutes and couldn't get a refund. Thanks for nothing.

I recently stayed at Richmond Hill Inn, and it exceeded my expectations! The staff was incredibly friendly, the rooms were clean and comfortable, and the location was convenient. I had a great experience and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a pleasant stay at a very reasonable price in this overpriced area.
