Well preserved and very good guides that explain everything during your visit. Some of them speak in Spanish and English. Excellent for tourism.

English guides, better views than the nearby elevator, very nice air conditioning! What more can you ask for? Interesting, 15 minute tour with many good photo ops. Great if you're in town.

A really interesting museum! Ask for Licia Bourgeios as a guide. She's great and really entertaining and speaks several languages fluently (like English & Spanish). Thank you for showing us around and explaining so much about Salvador's history, Licia! Greetings from Germany.

Beautiful museum with a great guide From all of the museums that I visited in Salvador, The Misericordia Museum was the most well-kept. It was by far the cleanest and most organized. Although, what really made the difference in the place was the museum guide, Licia. She was a loveable person and an excellent professional. Licia said that she used to be a cleaner of the museum in the past, but then she started to study until being able to become a museum educator. The guide knew all the stories about every room and every object of the museum and was able to give a real History class about Brazil from the 17th century until now.
