I could not let this one pass. Not recommended. I've stayed here before but it has gone downhill. The hotel has always been bit noisy as the walls are thin and you can hear everything in the corridors and from the rooms next to you. But this trip was totally out of control. There was a water leak from the ceiling once you stepped out of the 3rd floor elevator, Other guests were extremely rude, playing loud music and smoking. Loud music from the court below made it impossible to get work done. There were Roaches in my room (totally unacceptable! - Never staying here again!

Overpriced for what was offered. There are hotels with lower prices in Copacabana with better structure and rooms. Stayed here only for the proximity to SDU, but ended up regretting it. There was a cleaning sign in front of the elevator on the third floor during all the time I was there (even though there was no cleaning). And the bed sheet was still packed in the wardrobe, which I don’t understand the point. The breakfast quality has worsened significantly compared to my last stay a year ago, specially the breads and pastries, all too greasy with low quality. Overall service was good with friendly employees, but the experience does not meet the price charged. Still a good hotel, but not worth 700 reais.

I stayed here and had an issue with processing a refund. It has been 23 business days and I have yet to get a refund for a room for 10 nights that I did not stay in. This hotel owes me 1300 CAD + the costs associated for my time and effort when dealing with them. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone as they have a long and complicated refund process and will make it difficult for you to receive your own, hard earned money back.

Good hotel in perfect location of domestic airport but also in downtown. Rooms smaller, bathroom with some mold but clean and just fine. Free WiFi, minibar with affordable prices but the gem is the last floor with restaurant, bar and pool. The views are amazing from there. Breakfast - quite wide choice. One negative during our stay: there is a separate lift from 2nd and 3rs floor to pool/restaurant floor but number 2 was missing. So it was not possible to take a lift to second floor from the roof floor..only by foot on emergency stairs.

The rooms have a modern and ergonomically sound feel. The cleanliness and hygiene was good and the views from rooms and from the hotel forecourt were beautiful. The dining area for the hotel is not easy to access, this involves moving getting a lift (elevator) to one floor then walking along two long corridors to get another lift to the top floor. This dining area is lovely with decent food, beautiful views and friendly wildlife flying nearby. The smell immediately outside the hotel was not nice and smelled like open sewer smell wafting but this is not the fault of the hotel as other municipal areas in Rio smell just as bad or worse. The hotel complex has some lovely restaurants next door and a beautiful, modern hidden dining complex behind the hotel. This is accessible by going to the corner after leaving the hotel and going up a couple of escalators. The differing cultural world cuisine choices are wonderful and the quality of food is good.

Since my check-in, I had fully support from the reception team and from the staff of the hotel. I would like to make a special recognition of the cordiality front desk assistant that help me at the check-in to be very nice and friendly during his assistance. I'm not quite sure about the room number.

Second time staying here and I loved every moment. Only minor issue was that my room was too cold when I entered.

Since the hotel is at the airport, it's understandable the pace is fast, and it's busy. But it was an overall good stay, I'd come back indeed. The view from the room was unbelievable, though.

I stayed at Prodigy Hotel Santos Dumont for 4 days during my trip in Rio De Janeiro, I was impressed by the Hotel locations, service and facilities. It surprised me, the hotel is connected to Santos Dumond Airport so convinient for me to catch my flight. The hotel also offers free shutle service to and from the airport. Wife and Parking are well available. The room was spacious and comfortable, with flat screen TV, a mini bar and a nice bathroom. The best part of the room was the stunning view of the ocean and the sugar loaf mountain! so relaxing. The bed was very comfortable and I slept well. The hotel has also an infinity room which aslo give you the breath taking view of the Sugar loaf and other amazing views. Fitness center also available with modern equipment and sauna was very soothing. They also have spa that offered various treatment and massage, I did not try, but i heard good things about. The hotel has restuarant that serve international cousine, they had dishes from different countries, such as pasta, sushi, stake and salad. I had my breakfast and dinner at the restaurant, and was satisfying, the food quality and a lot of choices. The breakfast buffet had a lot of options from fruits and cerals to eggs and pastries. Overall, i had a wonderful stay at Prodigy Hotel Santor Dumond and I would highly recomment to anyne who is looking for a 5-star hotel and affordable. The hotel has everything you need for.

Very happy with overall experience. The view is as good as it gets. Staff were helpful for the most part and accommodating to the English speaker. I have seen negative reviews and not sure if they are warranted. Beds are not the most comfortable, rooms are small. Other than that, if you have appropriate expectations you will love this place. I would come back and stay here.

Good room, comfortable and pleasant. Bathroom lighting is very dim... Excellent breakfast, with one of the best views of Rio de Janeiro.

Bad Experience. In general, the only thing that the Hotel differs from other Rio de Janeiro hotels is the view. Average bedroom and average meals. The problem is that I forgot a personal item inside the bedroom a week ago and trying to contact the hotel to retrieve it. They don't answer calls, don't reply to emails or site forms. I even entered in contact with the manager group of prodigy hotels, and they sent an email to Prodigy SDU with me in copy requesting for the Hotel to give information for me to retrieve my personal item, and they simply ignore it. It was by far the worst Experience I have with a Hotel in all Rio de Janeiro.

Everything was great. Room view was not the best, parking was too expensive. But the general experience, check in, check out, room service, pool view, privacy etc. were great. I’ll definitely stay more and more.

I will start with the good things about the hotel. The location was great. 25 min max to anywhere you wanted to go. The rooms seemed clean and over all the service was good. Beware if you land early they won’t budge on early check in. My advice have ur swimsuit ready and head to the beach while you wait for check in at 2pm. They will hold ur luggage. Also if coming from any other country don’t forget a charging adapter. They will provide it but are very limited. Now for the bad. We booked two rooms one in the 1st floor and one in the 3rd. Both YES BOTH rooms we had roach sightings. The mini fridge in one room broke down. If you like to iron they won’t provide this in the room. You must take the items to iron on the 2nd floor. The view is spectacular during the day and night. Over all you get what you pay for. Great price just beware of the unexpected guests in your room.

The Hotel was very basic, great pool and view. Decor could be upgraded along with room, No USB charging points, not ideal for 'working'. OKay for a quick stop over. Asked for invoice several times (to expense my trip) Was told 48hours after check out it will be emailed, This has not happened. Will have to chase

Convenient not great. Room and location perfect for business. Would not select as a tourist. Restaurant food is good, but the service speed was average to dreadful. One evening, after waiting 35 minutes, they realized they didn't put the order through. They just blamed the waiter. Would use for convenience. And they ran out of black tea, which may sound picky to a coffee drinker, but imagine you couldn't get coffee and had to wait two hours for Starbucks to open....
