Absolutely excellent, top to bottom. It’s been a while since I have had such an exquisite experience even in the USA. We made reservations the day before, and we got a royal treatment even though there were about 5 tables of more than 10 people already sat in the restaurant. The hostess gave us choices of seating (we decided outside since it has a nice view of the Redeemer statue). We didn’t tell them it was a birthday celebration until after dinner and they still brought out a dessert with candle! Every aspect of the restaurant was clean, professional and knowledgeable while being friendly to a foreigner who spoke moderate Portuguese. 4 people, full meals, two wines all less than 1200 BRL!! Oh, and the food was delicious and cooked perfectly.

The view and ambiance is phenomenal but the food is not at this same level. All in all it was a good expirience.

Great looking place but very poor service. Waited for table 2 hours ( they said 40 min ) and then had to order everything 3 times. That’s very frustrating when you wait for a wine :-) Hope management will fix this as place is amazing looking. 2 stars fir service !!!!

Rubaiyat has everything; a great ambience, delicious food, impeccable service (thanks to Lucas), location is right opposite one of my favorites places in Rio (Jardim Botanico) Ideal for hangouts, birthday dinners, and more Washroom doors are equipped with motion sensors, so don't touch anything. By the way, in the washrooms, you find mouthwash and floss you can dispense for free, all part of their excellent service.

Beautiful location. Great experience seeing jockeys ride their horses with the Redeemer overseeing all of us. Quick and diligent service. Good sized portions that are pleasing to the pallet.

I had an absolutely delightful experience at this restaurant! From the moment I walked in, the warm and welcoming atmosphere made me feel right at home. The staff was incredibly attentive, and the menu offered an array of mouthwatering dishes. I couldn't resist trying their signature dish, and it exceeded all expectations - bursting with flavors that danced on my taste buds. The presentation was artful, and each bite was a journey of delightful surprises. The chef's passion for their craft was evident in every bite. I left with a full stomach and a heart full of happiness. I can't wait to return and explore more of their culinary delights!

Food was good, the fish didn’t have as much flavor as I would’ve liked, and seemed a bit over cooked. The palm heart side with cheese and almonds was fantastic Atmosphere is great and the service was some of the best I’ve had.

Been here three time for their Saturday lunch buffet and all you can eat, not sure if they still have that post-Covid, it was great before and I would love to visit in 2024 when I’m back for carnival :) I also don’t speak Portuguese and it was a bit hard to make reservations

My boyfriend decided to surprise me while I was in Rio performing at Carnaval for Valentine’s Day and took me to this amazing place. First off it’s beautiful inside with a view of the entire wine selection. We wanted to sit outside and be closer to the Jockey Club horse racing track and glad we did. It was so romantic and awesome to see the horses run by. While here we ordered caipirinhas, Fish Ceviche, Pork Ribs, Shrimp Fideua, Baby Lamb, and dessert platter. The drinks, ceviche and pork ribs (with their bbq sauce I asked for) was good. Lamb and dessert were ok and shrimp was good but I didn’t like the rice or whatever it was so much. It reminded me of rice-a-roni lol. But if you’re in Rio I recommend this place. In Los Angeles I’ve never been anywhere like it so it was pretty cool. Also we had views of Christ The Redeemer which was awesome! Service was good and so was the food. We had a great time.

Great food and very nice place. Service was quite shambolic for the venue and price. Trying to sell you knives while you're eating is tacky too.

On the higher end side, this restaurant is a gem in Rio. Known by the stakes, your order comes with a little sign with a cow showing how the beef is cooked - love that! The location is simply unbelievable, we asked to sit outside and we saw the horse races on one side and Christ the Redeemer on the other. A great place to bring big groups and have a beautiful scene.

Great view of the race course. The traditional Brazilian buffet lunch had a good amount of choice, and a huge pudding selection.

Food was excellent. Seriously good steak (try the picanha). But the vibe is slightly stuffy and they kept refilling our bread without us asking and then decided to charge us for two appetizers. Also quite pricy for Rio and it has more tourists than locals

Quality meat and very fresh fish. Most of the dishes are not so creative but very tasty. The service is perfect. Very great selection of wines and good one of beer.

Tourists be careful, not a trustworthy place, management allows their servants to inflate your check as this also inflates their service charge. I ordered a 200 BRL wine and the restaurant brought me a 400 BRL wine. Typical con just to rip off guests. Poor management. I won’t be visiting the restaurants in Rio or Madrid ever again.
