Lovely place to stay in Rio! I was worried because everyone always told me Rio was the more dangerous city in Brazil and I was traveling by myself, but I had a great trip and this hotel had a large part to do with it. Located within walking distance from a mall, the hotel is on a private street that has a security guard that limits traffic so it is very safe, quiet, and secluded. (Ubers and taxis will have no issue getting to you, though!) There is also a locked gate you access with your key card. The front desk staff all spoke English and were beyond helpful with any questions or issues I had. There is a vending machine that I could purchase water or soda from without leaving the hotel and they had laundry services for an additional fee (about 5 American dollars for kilogram). The room was roomy and comfortable with a/c, a very comfortable bed, and a very powerful and warm shower. Before my stay, the hotel messaged me on WhatsApp asking me to pay via Paypal (or other payment methods) before my trip. I was a bit worried about this since no where else had asked me to do this and I didn't see any reviews mentioning it, but it was 100% legit.

A great place that’s really close to the main sights, as well clean and with a nice common area. The staff were really helpful and friendly - Beatriz in particular was exceptional in how much help she gave us during our stay. Would definitely return!

Stayed at this hostel over NYE. Location was great, right next to transit plus easy for taxis and Uber’s. The street also felt very safe as there is a guard at the front plus locked gate getting into the hostel. The 4 bed female dorm was basic but comfortable, breakfast was pretty standard. Bathroom could have been cleaner! We did not find this to be an overwhelmingly social hostel. All in all an OK stay

Good design and atmosphere, but the rooms could be more comfortable. The beds are a bit hard and the air conditioning can be loud. The doors don't isolate from noise well. Friendly staff. Nice for groups of friends on a budget.

Really great hostel. Wasn't noisy like others I have stayed at. Room was lovely and clean, bed and shower were great too. Breakfast was also really fantastic with a good selection. Staff were helpful and able to guide us to some nice places to eat and book tours of the city for us.

One of the best hostels i have tried in rio. Super clean, wiee and open, you get a towel, there are places to sit and chill, and it's super safe area. The only thing is that you can't use the gas in the kitchen to cook which was important for me, and it was not very social when I was there...

You know when they are traveling a long time and you miss an air conditioner, a locker with space for your backpack, an amazing breakfast and a place in the center and very close to the subway? The Injoy Hostel offered me this and more. I met amazing people and of all ages and nationalities. Great experience. I will return for sure.

I was staying in the 6 bed dorm, which was very spacious. Each bed had a locker, outlet, and reading light. The Wi-Fi worked ok in the room I was in. The hostel overall was very clean and well taken care of. My only complaint is that breakfast wasn't included for my reservation while other highly rated less expensive hostels in the area included it.

Fantastic hostel, clean, English speaking staff, each bed with its own light and power port, and a good breakfast. One of the very best we have stayed in in South America.
