Great location in downtown Montego Bay. The food was great and the views were awesome! Pop/soda is brought out in a bottle with a glass of ice. The pop does not arrive cold. The bar has a large screen tv, and it looks like there's an entertainment stage. We went at lunchtime so not much was happening at that time.

Fantastic experience. The restaurant came highly recommended and did not disappoint when we walked in. Service was exceptional, the water front floor was clean and well organized, restrooms were very clean. I did feel prices were a little high but the food was amazing and I felt worth it. If I could say any con I would say doing a bit of garbage clean up on the pier and dock area would send it to the top. Beautiful place. Coming from Minnesota USA

Fun restaurant with fabulous views great food, desserts and drinks. Really good assortment of cocktails Reservations are totally recommend. From Fridays it's not easy to get in the atmosphere is like a huge dance party. We went a few times and everything we ate was tasty and fresh.

The food was phenomenal and such big portions. My friend had the seafood pot and I had the surf and turf. I can see why this is a popular place to go. Make sure you have time to spare because they take their time with everything. Unlike in the US, where we rush, rush, rush.

First time going.. and we enjoyed the food .. The staff was great very friendly and helpful.. I can't speak for everyone else.. my food was great.. only problem I had was it wasn't enough...

3 stars because the location is good. Party of two arrived at 9:30pm on Sunday as it said in Google that they closed at midnight. The hostess tells us to wait for a table, and after a 30-minute wait, which we spent enjoying the open air terrace, we were seated at the bar. We are told by the bartender that we had to order super quick "because the kitchen was about to close." We quickly ordered dumplings, fritters, tacos, a salad, and a pizza. After about 30 more minutes of no food, I asked the bartender, and he stated the kitchen was running behind. I suggested bringing the items as they come out from the kitchen instead of waiting for all to be ready. 20 minutes later, an order of tacos and cold, chewy "fritters" arrived that I ate because we were literally starving. 20 minutes later, the salad showed up with the dumplings. Salad was a good portion and very tasty. 30 minutes later after no pizza we asked for the check. Three stars for ocean setting and a good salad. The place is an overrated, tourist trap.

I’ve been dining at Pier 1 for years and I love the ambiance (5 min drive from the airport). Whether for a date night when we stay in Montego bay or lunch when in the area. The ocean view is spectacular and there’s always music playing in the background. The staff is always wonderful! Big up to Akeem and Stacey regarding great hospitality, during our last visit. In the past, I enjoyed the seafood Alfredo and my husband enjoyed the steamed fish. Lately, I would rate the food as being around 3-3.5, as there is room for improvement (taste/portion). Also, expect a bit of a wait, once you order your food, so if you don’t really have some leisure time, you’ve been warned. Overall, I will continue to visit this lovely establishment!

We enjoyed our day at pier one. The foods and drinks were excellent and served speedily. The waiter was very polite, well attired and very attentive. We both enjoyed our visit there. The surprised birthday desert with candles they made for me was exceptionally great .

Ive been to Pier One for both dinner and for the club (many times). We went for dinner one night. The oxtails were great. We also enjoyed the appetizers and drinks... a lot. The shrimp tacos and the jerk chicken pasta were very delicious as well. They also have some pretty yummy cheesecake. For the club experience, Pier 1 never disappoints. Even when it rained like cats and dogs, we still had a ton of fun. I definitely recommend this spot.

What a lovely little spot, right on the ocean!! Our group was all pleased with our food. Our waitress was lovely and super smiley, and very friendly overall. The view was pretty amazing. Definitely will recommend others to come and check it out!!!

Came here for the nightlife. It was an awesome experience. We entered around 11:40pm and it was packedd on a Friday night. They played every type of music and had all types of people there. Tourist and locals. Entry was $10us dollars. They need better organization at the door when entering and tagging your hand though. Security seemed lost and overwhelmed. They also need a makeshift bar area upstairs to ease the crowding at the main bar area. Overall it was a great experience.

Lunch or dinner on the waterfront. What more can you ask for? Pier 1 has music by day and entertainment by night. Definitely a hotspot for locals and tourists alike. The menu extends from appetizers to desserts. Watching jet skis and yachts pass while dining is added bonus. Great choice for a meal or drink, regardless of your preference.

Oh my word, what can I say about this bar. What a night. Went here on a Friday night music, atmosphere, people absolutely on point. Had a brilliant time and I will definitely be going back on my next trip to Jamaica. Highly recommend if you're in Montego Bay but get there early. It turns into mayhem for parking after 9.30pm

The weather was perfect for the outdoor seating. I asked the bartender Richard, to just surprise me with drinks. He did an amazing job. The salad was okay. The marlin bruschetta had way too much mayonnaise. Richard offered to take it back and remake it. The customer service overall was excellent.

I have to say this was one of the worst. It was a referral from a friend who definitely got it wrong. As soon as we sat down we were informed that they had no lobster, no calamari, and no shrimp. That pretty much eliminated most of the combinations on the menu. My fiance ordered a Pina Colada and I got a Long Island iced tea. My Long Island iced tea was pretty much tequila and lemon juice. There may have been a little gin in there. It was awful! Her Pina Colada had no trace of liquor But was sweet and refreshing. I had the pizza for an appetizer. It had some kind of sausage and tiny bits of pineapple on it. Tasted pretty bad and looked nothing like the picture. After tasting the liquor, looking through the limited items on the menu, and considering how bad the pizza was, I decided to play it safe and just order a burger. The meat tastes like biting into mush. It was definitely cut with something like bread crumbs or crackers or something. It definitely was not meat. The french fries were full of grease. I'm pretty sure the oil wasn't hot enough when they fried them. They were dripping. I probably could have squeezed a quarter cup of oil out of them. It took a really long time for our main orders to arrive. When they did only three people at our party of 4 were served. They forgot one person altogether. When we brought it to the attention of the manager, she reprimanded the server right there in front of everyone. That must have been pretty demeaning. I have to say all and all, the food was horrible, the drinks were horrible and the service was horrible. Needless to say, we won't be returning.

We travelled from London to dine at this famous restaurant and bar. However, we turned away because I had a smart vest on and Nice dress shorts! Considering a young lady walked in with a bikini and was practically naked!!! I have never would have believed, that coming out of a pandemic a business could afford to turn away 40k + in revenue! It was a whole vibe! Be prepared as after 10 the restaurant becomes a club a Friday night so dress to dance and turn it up! The starters were delightful and especially loved the callaloo cheese. Lobster needed a bit more moisture and the fish too but otherwise a great night! Staff are so friendly and made my last night in the island fab! Great cocktails too!

Cool place - friendly staff - I am enjoying watching the World Cup at the bar with people supporting their teams. It is fun. A bit expensive like anything else in Jamaica but definitely a nice place by the beach

Nice restaurant located right on the water. The views are spectacular during the day and night. The drinks were good. The food was ok but could be better. You want to make reservations if you go on the weekend to be safe cause it gets busy. Worth checking the after party on Fridays too.

I'm revising my rating from 3 stars to 4 stars. Over the past year, Pier One has made significant strides in improving its service, ambiance, and cuisine. It has evolved into a solid choice for various occasions, such as parties, weddings, meetings, and special events. Having recently enjoyed both lunch and dinner there, as well as attending several events, I must say it was a truly enjoyable experience. While there are minor areas where service could be refined, their overall improvements are truly commendable.

We had the Pier 1 lobster, escobiche whole fish, seafood chowder and soup of the day (fish soup). Everything was great, I would highly recommend adding the fried fish and rice and beans to the fish soup. This was one of the most satisfying bites I had on the island. The views are fantastic and there is plenty of parking. Unfortunately they didn't have the seafood mega pot, will definitely come back for that.

Visited here for dinner on an early evening dinner and the setting is beautiful. Caught the sunset, which provided some romance too. The food was decent. The coconut coated fish was fresh and was flavoursome, as was the Jerk Alfredo Pasta, although the portions were good, I would have liked some more chicken with it. The waitresses were very attentive and kind enough to resolve a small issue we had with the dessert straight away.

This was a good experience. I felt for escoveitch fish one Friday afternoon after work, but didn't want to dine and then have to deal with the Friday traffic, so I decided to get take out and go eat at home. I wasn't disappointed. The meal was set up nicely and it was tasty. The location is pretty ideal... Quiet for the most part (if you get there at the right time of the day) so I was happy to wait outside and enjoy the sea breeze. PS. The price per pound for fish is similar to other places that have the same offerings, so I didn't really have an issue with it. I've clipped on my receipt at the end.

PIER ONE MONTEGO BAY, is one of the best places I have been to. Miss Stacy, a hostess there, was very exceptional with the way how she talked and moved swiftly with the orders. Very professional I might add, she ensured she asked twice if we were ok and if we needed anything else. She is very altruistic and I would recommend to her management a raise or promotion. I hope you guys know what asset you have there to ensure the guests are very comfortable and just so you know, I WILL VISIT AGAIN AND WILL CALL FOR STACY AGAIN.

You guys should try the wings and the baby back rid, yum yum my mouth is watery as I wrote this. If you drive a tesla, no worries because they got you covered, Pier 1 am coming right back

Dining at Pier one has never been less than top tier. They've got great wait staff and thier food is always reliably well done, even the vegan options. Loved it!

When we arrived it was busy but the waiters kept us informed and kept checking in. The music selelction was great and the food was delicious. The drinks were also amazing. We expected to pay over $100 for our meals but it was less than 60 so we were WOWD and happy about that.

From entering this location, the persons were attentive. I was seated and was checked on periodically.the ambience is always nice based on the location and patrons are always there to enjoy the offering. Food was good.

I love pier 1 because you're outside the water is on both sides of you and every view is a sea view. The food is top notch and I recommend it all. It's just takes a little while for the food to be served. So if you are in a rush rethink your choice. Overall everything else is amazing about this place and price is very very good. It is inexpensive.

Usually I don’t give 5 star rating, but the staff at Pier One Montego Bay shows us what a truly professional restaurant really is. I have been all over the world 🌎, but had to come to Jamaica 🇯🇲 to find the best event hosts. Thanks so much to the event staff at Pier One for hosting such a wonderful birthday event for my family. The private upper deck was decorated so well and the service staff was second to none. I can’t give you enough thanks for your professionalism.

If the food didn't take 3 hours to get, then it wouldn't have been so bad. The night view is great, I'm sure the day time is nice too. It's by a dock so there are boats parked at night. It would be a great venue for a ocean dock wedding or party because of the pretty dock and sunset I imagine. The service is way too slow for a place that is always busy. I get the island time but we got so hungry waiting. The appetizers came at a reasonable wait like 30 minutes dinner was 1.5 hours later and in total it was too much waiting (waiting to get menus 10 mins waiting for waiter to take orders 15 mintues, waiting for food 2+ hours, waiting for the bill 15 minutes, etc) We got there at 6 and didn't leave till almost 10. Not because we were talking or chilling it was just too much... waiting for service. The waiter even knew it was too long because she came to tell us twice the food is coming but with no prevail. I highly recommend booking reservations in advance for better seating times and to expect dinner to take all night, so come with friends that enjoy the dinner experience. Also don't come too hungry, due to wait times. The fish tacos were basic and had 3 tiny fried fish pieces, i do not recommend. The coconut crusted fish was the best entree meal. Surf and turf is small for $40. Acki wonton were good fried crispy but not enough filling to take Acki. Calamari was 6 tiny rings, not worth the price. Chowder soup was delicious. Drinks were good and not expensive.

Been there twice during our stay in Montego Bay. First time was great, superb servive provided by Yanique. Had a tasty meal. Second time was just very ordinary burger like from regular fast food. Steak was very chewy and felt like rubber. Service was horrible second time.

Great customer service. Shout out to Shavel. The food was great. Loved their pepper sauce. The only issue here is that the table for four is the same small table as table for two. Just not ideal too chucky.

Servers were under pressure, it seemed, but additional training is needed to help them deal with waiting guests. I sat with the menu for 25 minutes before deciding to call over a young lady for order. I was at the bar in front of everyone, yet overlooked, not even a "be with you shortly." I was handed a salt shaker that was very dirty (though it may have been black pepper or some other spice and not dirty). Other than that, the views and food was great. Good presentation and serving.

Beautiful location, shame I can’t say the same about the service. The cocktails were slow out, we placed our order for starters and before they came out we were asked to place our mains order. We had to remind them we have not had our starters yet. Our drink finished and no one asked if we would like more drinks. In the end we asked to take away the rest of our food. Upon payment, that’s the quickest I saw our waitress turn up expecting a tip for the poor service. Needless to say we did not leave a tip

The atmosphere is amazing. We very much enjoyed sitting right on the waterfront. Although the food was very good, the portions were small. We were there for lunch. If there is a cruise ship in court, be prepared for groups of 15 to 20 coming past your table and lining up for a very scanty snack, then wandering around throughout the venue. Also, plan for plenty of time. It took 2 and 1/2 hours for lunch, because the service was slow to non-existent. The locals tell us that a large storm came through three weeks before we arrived, part of the venue is blocked off by plywood because of damage to the facility, and there is the remnant of a vehicle washed up beside and underneath the restaurant.

The service is really bad and poor but comparing to other places, at least the drinks are cheaper. The staff don’t even smile at you, it is like is so hard for them to serve you. I have never experienced something like this. I feel bad even asking for another drink I will pay, but this is in general all Jamaica. Worst service ever.

Our server Yanique was very helpful and attentive. The atmosphere was nice. The sea view was welcoming. The drinks were much like the pictures and satisfying. The food...well, it left something to be desired. The drunken fish was actually shrunken fish. My dinner party cohort also ordered the drunken fish with the exact sides and our plates looked different from one another. This prompted them to question "what did you order again?" The price was obviously inflated, based in the lack of size of the fish. Pleases to the manager about the small entree were met with a reference to Burger King and the difference between the large photos and the smaller actual product. What?! Let's be clear, I wouldn't order a whopper, receive a hamburger and be pleased with the differences in price, quality and product. They ordered the lobster and steak meal, land and surf or something like that. I wouldn't have eaten that either. The steak was past dead and dry and the lobster appeared to be dry as well. The plate didn't even come with dipping butter. When they asked for such, they received cold butter meant for bread. Lol. Covid-19 is real and it's impacting everything, but at least let the prices reflect the subtractions from the quality and quantity. End result, I did not eat, not pay for the Shrunken Fish entree.

Ok, so I think they were having an off day today. It rained, and apparently when that happens it cuts off the kitchen from the rest of the restaurant and you have no choice but to wait. Food came out finally but was cold, so didn’t eat it. Staff was friendly and extremely apologetic, I’ll have to revisit in the future.

Pier One is one of the go too places for a sports bar settings events, formal dining and fun get together event including birthdays. It is very scenic being by the sea. It's like a sports bar, night club and restaurant in one. It is also big enough to host major event with adequate parking.

To start, The hostess looked at us, didn’t even greet us, and walked away from the podium, TWICE (a snort girl with long braids ABSOLUTELY NO CUSTOMER SERVICE). Then she came back and claimed there was no seating except at the bar and couldn’t give an estimated wait time. (It’s 2021, come on). We got stuck at the bar and literally as we sat down like 5 tables finished and left. The bartenders were clearly overwhelmed. Food took way too long to arrive and was cold. Jerk chicken is basically baked chicken with no seasoning and cardboard fries. Classic burger the same. How do I have to wait and still get cold food? Even if it is bland, at least be hot. The drinks were nice though. All hype. Very underwhelming and disappointing

The view at Pier One is spectacular and certainly one of its best qualities!! The food is also very good and overall tasty. But the staff are very dysfunctional— it seems as if they are always scrambling or not sure of what they are suppose to do. My group waited around 20 minutes just for the table to be brought together. At the worst part of the experience was waiting for my salad— while everyone else had already received their meal. I guess the kitchen messed up something? I’m not sure but i think the staff need a dedicated retraining day. The final criticism is because it is a popular spot it attracts a lot of rowdy groups— many people being very loud or walking around with no mask because they want to take pictures (really only applies to COVID time but further shows the staffs lack of control). So while my group enjoyed our food, the service brought down the overall experience for us.

Pier 1 maintains its standards and that's what I really like. Very vibrant staff! They have will try their best to facilitate your requests and they food is always between good, to great. They have probably marked my face there based on how many times I've been. This is the go to, chill spot for me and my best friend.

Server was friendly and courteous, food coming out of kitchen slow and fries were cold. Sent them back but slow return so they were just slightly better. Also the fish sandwich was fishy tasting. Ordered fish tacos and received the shrimp which were very good but not not what was ordered and more expensive. Overall, I was very disappointed. I would go again for drinks and the view but not the food.

Seafood chowder was amazing as always. The food is consistent year after year. I ordered the seafood pasta, the mussels and shrimp were perfect. Pasta Al dente. Very hip younger generation crowd. Drinks were very strong and good. I ordered a few long Island iced tea's which had me buzzed. Seating outdoors, masks must be worn when not eating. Brown paper bag provided for mask when not being worn.

I ordered coconut shrimp, the shrimps were so small & not there Usual size. Veg was not edible, hard & cold. Not worth the price!! Not sure what happened since the pandemic with them, Because they were always top tier. Love the scenery & atmosphere as usual & still will be my number 1 go to chill spot when back in my country/ hometown 🖤💚💛

Lovely outdoor dining on the pier. The views of the Caribbean sea is breathtaking. Covid protocols observed. The menu is varied from fresh garden salads to delectable deserts. Seafood and local dishes are included. The drink menu is equally varied from rum based cocktails to the signature fare - margaritas, cosmos, martinis and wines. Service was excellent- i’d have given 4 stars but there was no sparkling water available; neither was there soda water on a Friday afternoon. The price is affordable. I’d visit again!

Sadly, was disappointed yesterday with the service. The food wasnt too bad, and the view is one of the best vistas in Mobay, but when we asked for the menu and simple things like "What was the soup of the day?" Were met with.. "oh...I dont know".. And instead we were told to go and check ourselves as paying customers while they stood behind the bar. Eventually we did get the menu, and we did order some food.. but the experience has left us disappointed and with limited intention of coming back to spend money here.

Visited Pier One for the first time..I have always heard good things about it and I was like I definitely have to go. The food was great and service was exceptional. Our waitress was super friendly and accommodating. I went on Monday night so their wasn't much happening. Will definitely go back on the fun nights!!!

Very nice atmosphere on the water. The food and prices are great! I loved the rum punch and the drunken fish with rice and peas. The calamari was okay. I was just disappointed in the customer service. We called and asked about free transportation to the restaurant. This was due to a store owner recommending the place and stating it's free transportation. So, we called and asked and the woman stated yes it's free and I just gotta tell them the time we want to get picked up. I told her I would call back once I asked my man. Called back and a guy answered. He gave a number for the "free" transportation. We arrived and the man asked for 50 dollars round trip. For a 6min drive that was supposed to be free. It was such a mess. The woman said no reservation is needed but when we get there they asked for reservation. That was a huge disappointment

The food was beautiful but be careful cause the prices aren't right in the books and it come up to more then $3000 jmd extra than was on the book. The cocktails was watered down and probably barely any alcohol in them. Beautiful place though and food was lovely. Just the price cost going up without you being I formed first is ridiculous, they need to change the prices if the food and the drinks in the books. 1 drink I brought said $3.35 us dollar but they said price was wrong in book and it was actually $7 us dollar

So maybe we had bad luck but they didn't have any ingredients for our drinks and food; example lime, ginger, mint. Also you have to schedule a good table and there wifi didn't work. The food tasted awful. Service was great but I'm not going again.

We stopped by at 12pm and a lady in a room with a big window said they open at 12:30pm I told her the website was saying 12 and she said well it’s 12:30 she did not suggest sitting at the bar or anything her energy was screaming go away. You don’t need that kind of representation for such a great restaurant and Latoya and Ameka the view and the food is the reason why I am still rating you all at 5 star. We ended up coming back at 12:30 Latoya the host was very pleasant and she was very well groomed I had to give her a warm compliment. Ámeka was the name of our waitress and she was amazing from start to finish. She greeted us with a warm smile and she was very friendly. The drinks came out really quick and our soup as well. We had a lovely lunch together before my flight this past Sunday 🫶🏽

Utensils were unclean and I went there close to the time they would've opened and the jerk chicken pasta I ordered did not taste fresh, it's obvious they reheated it. Will never return
