Hilton San Francisco Union Square is by far one of the best hotels that I have ever stayed in. It is a great place to stay with amazing views of the bustling city below. On the cityscape deck, it is child friendly but a adult bar is given so that adults can enjoy some drinks. Union Square at night can become a little unsafe so having the reassurance of coming back to this amazing hotel makes our trip all the better. The service and the hotel staff were friendly and amazing and they took care of you for the time of your stay. I would recommend this place with my who heart to families who are wanting to enjoy a luxurious hotel!

I stayed here because I was taking my son to the pier for the day and it was a good price so I booked it not really know in San Francisco. We checked him first and put our stuff down we walked from the ferry station which only took about 15 minutes. The front desk guy was so nice and so sweet gave me room options and everything told me about the bar grill that was on site. The rooms were really nice I’m not sure if they recently remodeled but the rooms were large it came with all the regular amenities. The only thing is there is only ice and soda machines on every other floor I wish I would’ve known that because I came with kids so I would’ve picked a floor that had the soda and ice machines.

We stayed here for one night last week. The lady checking us in was super nice and helpful. We were able to check in early and the process was fast and smooth. We were offered upgrade to larger room on high floor as being a diamond elite member. The room was nice, roomy and clean. The beds were quite comfortable. The hotel is conveniently located just couple blocks away from Union Square. There are plenty of shops and restaurants within walking distance. Overall it was a pleasant stay. I took two stars off because of the billing issue. We were explained quite clearly when we checked in there was $36 (diamond elite perk) plus $25 (destination charge) food & beverage credit. I checked out through the app, but later found out the $25 destination charge food/beverages credit wasn't applied. I called in to talked to the lady in accounting. She said the destination charge was added just a month ago and it's still confusing to them. After on the phone for ten minutes trying to explain to her we're entitled to the $25 food & beverages credit from the destination charge without success, I just grave up. It's just a little frustration to a otherwise perfect experience.

I stayed at the hotel over New Years Eve and I forgot to review the hotel. The stay was amazing. We got an amazing room with a view over the city and even to the Golden Gate Bridge. It was the perfect way to start the year. The rooms are clean and modern. The staff was friendly especially the lady who checked us in. The hotel is right in Union Square and you can walk to a lot of sights. I recommend the hotel to everyone who would like to stay right in the city and upgrade to the Skyline View Rooms. It is worth it :)

Great hotel. Extremely well maintained. Staff is very friendly. Excellent housekeeping. Very comfortable bed. I took off one star because of the $57 breakfast. Yes $57 before tip for a bland breakfast! It’s a ripoff.

Staff are excellent and very friendly and helpful. Not much Hilton can do regarding what's happening in the city near the hotel but I felt safe. The only reason for the 4 on the room is the shower head seemed to have maybe lime build up causing a lot of spray and leak of water from tub faucet versus shower head. Also not good options for night light type light for night time.

Was in the older section, shabby hallways, but good rooms for the price. Lots of larger & breakout meeting spaces. Fabulous view from the 46th floor lounge. Consistently excellent, thoughtful service. $75/day parking - ouch!

Here’s a gem of advice: before any hotel booking, peek at HoteIDuIIy.cᴏm It’s a game changer. Hilton Union Square San Francisco exceeded our expectations during our stay. The hotel's prime location in the heart of San Francisco made exploring the city a breeze. The room was spacious, well-maintained, and clean. What truly made our stay memorable was the exceptional service provided by Che'. Her assistance and attention to detail ensured that we had a comfortable and enjoyable experience. The hotel's amenities, including a fitness center and diverse dining options, added to the overall excellence of our stay. We wholeheartedly thank Che' for her outstanding help and look forward to returning to this exceptional hotel in the future.

This hotel is perfect for the business traveler or if you're at a conference. The lobby is large and beautiful. There are lots of rooms, so cost is fair. Down sides: rooms are dated and run down. The lobby bar is crowded, loud and has a poor wine selection. Check in can be a mess (use the app!) Overall, it's what Hilton has become: clean, public spaces are well done and restaurants/ bars are traveler oriented. If you expect that, you will be happy.

The location is pretty good, it's where by my workplace area so I just have to walk to get there. The service by the coffee shop and food/bar area is pretty good. The rooms may differ from what I had so you may get lucky. The fridge wasn't working, and the ice maker on my floor is broken and leaking. Took a few floors to find a working one. The lobby service is also hit or miss. Some nights when I walk up and request for my daily two water bottles they provide it in a bag with a smile and warm greetings. One night, it was an awkward interaction, the guy actually took it out of the ready made bag and I was only handed one. I am a diamond member and part of my perks is two water daily... I didn't really want to argue or interact further so I just moved along. I am also going to guess that there's a lot of homeless trying to get inside on evenings because I was stopped in the front door asking to show my key. I'm actually glad they do that for security purposes but I just wish they'd do it for all guests entering, not just me but the ones behind me weren't asked. If you can, ask for rooms higher than floor 30, the app let me choose my rooms and I picked 38. the view is amazing! See pics. I took that from my room. I wouldn't mind staying here again next time I go back.

Very solid hotel. Got upgraded view with Diamond. The cafe in the hotel was really good. Had a ton of delicious food. Actually had one of the best breakfast burritos I’ve ever had. The food is super expensive though so I would avoid if I didn’t have the Diamond credit. The hotel is in an interesting location, close to the tenderloin which is the homelessness capital of SF. Avoid going west and you’ll be good!

Nice location and friendly staff. Lobby area is great for chilling out and talking with people. A little short of staff when I was checking in so long wait. Service was good. Room was clean and comfortable. View was decent. Amenities were good. Safe was position upright, not so good for storing all my stuff. Lots of closet space. Breakfast in the restaurant was expensive and sub par. For the price paid, you can't even get customed made eggs. Everything sold in the hotel was at least double the price. I'd advise getting your breakfast outside the hotel as there are many places around the area for better and more sanely priced food.

The Hilton San Francisco Union Square offers a prime location in the heart of the city, making it convenient for both business and leisure travelers. The hotel boasts spacious rooms with modern amenities and impressive city views. Its central location provides easy access to popular attractions, shopping, and dining options. The on-site facilities, including a fitness center and multiple dining choices, contribute to a comfortable stay. However, some guests have noted that the hotel can get busy due to its size and popularity, which might lead to longer wait times or crowded common areas. Overall, the Hilton San Francisco Union Square is a solid choice for those looking to explore the city while enjoying upscale accommodations.

It was OK. Just what you'd expect from Hilton. Nothing great. Room in fine condition. Exorbitant prices (including a "service charge" to receive delivered packages and a $50+ breakfast buffet, including taxes). Central location reasonably close to a BART station, not that anyone would want to stay in this area for anything. Fine for a business trip as long as you're not paying the bill yourself.

Location is poor due to all the poverty and homeless people who beg and steal. But overall the hotel is really nice and comfortable with lots of amenities and options to dine from. A very safe hotel inside and spacious. The staff are amazing and very helpful. The hotel is clean and well maintained.

We loved our stay at this Hilton. Front desk was amazing accommodating us,the rooftop views are the best in the city for sure. Jose on the rooftop took care of us a couple of times and he was kind and a great server. The only down, it’s the area around the hotel, it’s very sad to see all the homeless people around, we took a walk with our 6 year old and never did again after that. However, we always felt safe at the hotel, they have security all around. I took walks with my aunt as well from union square to Castro, and really homeless people don’t bother, I just wouldn’t do the walks with my kid. Thank you Hilton for accommodating our family for my birthday week trip!

Beautiful hotel. Massive, with plenty of spacious rooms. Very comfortable beds and everything you need. The location is excellent, literally by Union Square and all transportation nearby. The best thing without a doubt is the service. I stay in hotels all around the world and the customer service and help of the staff of this hotel is definitely outstanding.

Staff and room were amazing. Hotel is located on the edge of nice and sketchy. Also if there aren’t enough self-park spots, you are forced to do valet. Room was exceptionally clean with an awesome view. Several restaurants on site and walk-able to a lot of different locations. Overall great stay and would recommend.

The room was excellent, had a nice view of the city, and was really large. There was plenty of space to move around and the bathroom was very nice too. The room was cleaned well. The staff is so friendly. We arrived a little early to check in but we were given a room early which was great as we had expected to just leave our bags with the luggage storage but we were able to just go straight up to our room, drop off our stuff and explore the city. There’s a pool and whirlpool which was fun to swim around in. It’s not a terribly large pool so I imagine it can get quite busy in summer but during our October trip, it was cool enough that very few people seemed to use the pool so it was spacious. The pool hours are also very long and generous I believe they start at 5 or 6 am and close at 9 pm. So you can get a swim in before you head out for the day or after you retire to your hotel at night. There’s a water bottle fill station in the lobby that I absolutely loved. It feels great filling up water bottles instead of buying and wasting plastic bottles. It was a really nice stay at the Hilton but be warned that the location is right on the edge of the nicer part of town so if you do happen to go the wrong way out the exit, it’s an unpleasant walk in a gritty area so definitely walk out of the hotel and head toward union square or take an Uber to your location if it’s toward the other way.

Beautiful hotel, upbeat lobby with bar and lounge area. Young lady working front desk named Che was absolutely wonderful. She was very warming and went beyond to make my family feel welcomed. Location is close to many attractions within walking distance. Great security and employee presence outside on the curb so safety is there. My third time staying here and will definitely be my go to San Francisco hotel when in town.

great experience! house keeping was friendly and did an amazing job. Check-in was punctual and check-out was very easy. Food service was nice but the buffet breakfast was very expensive, not worth the cost. We were in the corner suit on the 33 floor. Had an amazing view and very comfortable. Had a pool and hot tub, very easy to access.

The rooms are good and the staff members I interacted with were very nice including letting me check out later on my last day. Downside: no restaurant at the hotel. So I had to brave the streets to find food. Not really anything against the hotel but I did NOT feel safe walking around there alone. So location could be better. I got badgered by 3 men just the two blocks I ventured out to find dinner. So I ordered uber eats the last two days I was there. Nice lounge on 46 floor with great views. I took advantage of that.
