It has got to be the most horrible place I have EVER encountered!!!!!!! My girlfriend is living there and the staff make it close to impossible for us to meet up; also the staff lied to my girlfriend telling her that they would add me to the room because she didn't want to leave me on the streets. Now we both have to sleep on the streets. They (staff) won't let me in to see her, they won't pass notes, and I have to ask multiple times for them to call her room and let her know that I'm outside, most of the time it takes a couple of days for me to successfully get a hold of her. I HATE THIS PLACE!!!!!!!!

Upon arriving at the hotel lobby, the setting was cozy and modern-looking. Staff was accommodating. Room was kinda small for 4 persons. So, sharing is not recommended. No ref in the room. By the way, there was no AC. A fan was provided in the room. Coffee maker was not working. Key card was always malfunctioning. Parking was expensive. You are gonna be forced to pay the price because it's not well-located. Neighborhood was not safe. The attendant in the parking was Turkish and the communication was difficult. If you're saving money this is not the place to check, but if you have no choice at all this hotel can be a choice.

I have to say it, excluding the Urban Alchemy, I feel like I'm living in a 5 * hotel. Rooms are really clean and well kept. They come in and clean up every week. Flat Screen tv with dish cable. Bathroom and balcony with beautiful 😍 T.L. view. Suicide friendly balcony, lol. Check out the pics.

Staff were really friendly and helpful. Complimentary breakfast and a ride to union Square or fisherman's wharf were really good. Just a shame about the area at night as the hotel is located next to 2 homeless shelters there was a lot of homeless people about. They will not bother you but it does make you feel a little uneasy at points. This doesn't bring down how good the hotel was hence 5 stars

My complaint was about the parking lot worker. I don't know his name, but he had long hair. Today, my husband pulled into the parking lot and before the car stopped, he walked up to us and banged on our window like a maniac. I was so shocked. Luckily there were no children in the car, or they would have cried. Then I got out of the car and he started swearing at me: he (my husband) doesn’t know English? Why he didn’t look at me... and talk a lot, oh my God, inexplicable, I don't know what's wrong with him, we don't know English? Can you be so rude to us without knowing English? Is this discrimination against us? This man was really horrible and knocked on the window of our car for no reason and it was not the first time. Every time he came to work, he was rude to us. We pay every month, not for free, other people were very friendly except this crazy guy ,but we don’t want to park here anymore .

Amazing staff! We stayed here for 3 nights and we were so impressed with everything. The room was clean and spacious. Breakfast was included and definitely better than any other free breakfast I have had at a hotel. The complimentary shuttle was amazing! Always on time and saved us a ton of money! Super convenient. A lot of people seem to be hesistant because of the neighborhood but we had no issues! The shuttle made it so we hardly ever had to walk beyond the courtyard and to even get on the elevator you have to swipe your key. I was very impressed with the safety measures taken to help guests feel safe and clean. Overall, I was very impressed and I will without a doubt stay here next time I am in the area. Loved it!

Very nice place. Modern comfortable design. Nice rooftop patio. Linens and towels were great. Free wine was delicious. Too bad I stayed here during the virus lock down because there might have been a party otherwise. Thanks for the safe quiet respite for our hospital procedure.

Breakfast included with quite a few options, they also had free wine at the rooftop bar between 5 and 7 which was a really nice touch. The staff were really helpful and able to give us excellent suggestions on activities. The only negative was the area, completely surrounded by homeless people and it didn’t feel like a safe environment at all when leaving the hotel.

Whatever you do - DO NOT order room service!!!!!! We were completely robbed !!! BUYER BEWARE!!! We ordered food to our room and paid over $50. It was delivered in a bag so I did not see all the contents at first. We paid and left a fat tip only to find that we were missing two items we ordered. The food they did actually deliver was wet and leaking and not fully cooked. We threw it right in the trash. We called room service back to complain that we were overcharged as they did not even deliver our entire order. They basically gave us the run-around to "call back tomorrow." Long story short, we called back about 6 times, spoke to 4 different people and was hung up on once. We never got our money back or any type of reconciliation... straight up robbed. Aside from room service - area is not the safest but as long as you don't walk/ wander around, you will be okay. Free breakfast each morning was a huge plus... probably the best thing about our short stay. Food wasn't great, but decent. Parking garage is kind of a scam as they make up new prices each time you ask. The rooftop view was gorgeous but the bar was never open while we were there. TV did not have any decent channels and we did not have a working remote. The hotel gave us new batteries but there was still nothing to watch on TV. Cleanliness of room was decent. Overall, I would not return to stay again as the room service situation left a bad taste in my mouth. It was upsetting how they handled it - or lack of.

Very modern but also has a historic feeling to the environment of the hotel. Rooms are up to date and clean. Staff is very friendly and very helpful. Rooftop bar has a great view and free wine everyday certain hours. Free breakfast as well on the rooftop until 10am. I gave it 4 stars simply because the area is not the greatest. Highly recommended to take a taxi or ride share instead of walking. Granted that's not the hotels fault for the bad area but they don't have any sort of barricade or security to prevent anyone from coming in. Highly recommended regardless of area.

Just had a great 4 night stay at this hotel. Perfect location to do all the touristy sightseeing stuff...and the shuttle bus the hotel provides is a perfect bonus...Yes there are homeless and beggers sleeping on some of the streets nearby (you get them in every city around the world, including my own back in the UK) but they never bothered me or my family members once so don't be put off by other reviews. The hotel staff were always pleasant and polite... especially the lovely breakfast staff...and Will up on the roof top bar was an encyclopedia of knowledge about where to go and what to do in SF city. We had a great stay with them.
