If I could give this place zero stars I would. I work for a health plan that arranges lodging for medically fragile children. I would NEVER had arranged for a family to stay here if I would have known the horrific conditions they would be staying in. The looked like it had not been clean in weeks. Dirty and ripped furniture! Dirty bed linens! The list goes on. I would NOT suggest this place to anyone!

The guy who runs it is super nice but he needs to get some people in there to clean it to a higher standard. There is no on site parking either. Meaning you have to leave your car on the streets in a semi-sketchy neighborhood.

A perfectly fine budget hotel. I think some of the lower scored reviews are comparing the cost of this hotel to the value they would get for that money in other cities. It's older and could use a refurbishment for some items like the furniture in the rooms, as well as a new coat of paint. It was exactly what I was expecting in a value hotel and even included a pastry, coffee and juice breakfast. The staff I interacted with were all friendly and helpful, and the location was good for what I wanted to do in town.

They accomodated us at a very late hour (12.30 pm) with no reservation in a comfortable clean room-it was just a bit small. They provide lite breakfast which is a good start to hit SF early in the morning. Unfortunately NO parking available so you should find a place to park too. It is more than enough if you're looking for a safe place to stay. Reasonable prices too. The location is not too close to downtown but using public transportation makes your "I'm a tourist living like a local" experience complete. The staff is very friendly and helpfull.

The manager was extremely nice and they gave away food to the needy and upgraded my room. My problem was my fellow motel patrons were scary. One lady tried to rip a drain out of the road for over an hr. Another guy came running into the motel saying he will cut my jugular. The room was gross. A used bar of soap in the shower and a dirty q tip on the floor with an inch of dust on the fan.

Great front desk staff to help w everything and anything we needed. Room key problem or TV remote problem the front desk manager was very friendly and attentive to make sure our problem got fixed and our stay was pleasant. Even when I forgot my laptop In the room, he made sure to set it aside so I can pick it up. Has to be the best service I’ve received at any hotel in a very long time. I would definitely consider staying at this hotel again based on the price location and customer service.

I stayed here in October 2019 for two weeknights. Overall it's a great value. It's a little worn but if you are looking for a bed, a bathroom, and a decent nights sleep it's not bad. The neighborhood is no worse than anything else in the price range. There is no air conditioning so the windows stay open but it wasn't that noisy outside. It sits on top of a bar which wasn't an issue at all. Overall I'd stay here again. The cost to me was a bit over $200 after all the taxes and fees, and more fees, and more California fees. That compares to over $600 in many other hotels that were nearby.

Is all about expectations. So no, it's not really a 4-star hotel. But the carpet, while thin and old, was in better shape than at the last Sheraton I stayed in (Philadelphia 201), everything was clean and in working order, the rooms go out to a side street off Folsom, so they're not that noisy, you can't beat the location for a SoMa place, and, surprise, shower gel, shampoo, liquid soap, and lotion (!) all in mounted dispensers. Bed was a bit soft, but clean and comfortable, friendly staff, and free coffee and pastries for breakfast in the lobby. And all that at definitely a great value.

Friendly staff at check in but impression quickly changed on getting off the elevator. The corridors feature stained carpets and a musty stale smell probably from a multitude of sources. After taking in the glumness of the room I was interrupted by a mouse running out from under one of the beds. Reception moved me to a different room as disappointing as the first. The list of necessary improvements grew longer and longer. A single fire sprinkler head 10 CMS from the window was ridiculous, no central light in the room only side lights with no socket to plug them into. Towels that were shredded and should have been retired long ago, soap dispensers that discharged pea sized quantity after 10's of presses. Others have suggested condemning the place and I cannot disagree. Don't stay here at any price. You won't enjoy it and it will ruin your visit to a great city!

The hotel is right above a club!!!! Walls are thin you can hear the music and people in the other rooms. But Room was nice size. Yes your get what you pay for. No parking, you have to find it on your own which is hard because it’s very populated down here. No ac just a fan.

No frills but for the price cant beat it. Parking is an issue as parking garage is 2 blocks away habited by the homeless. Staff was superior and pleasant. Rooms were clean. Note there is no ac but a nice breeze from window keep us comfortable. Was worried about noise from outside but slept great and didnt hear much.

The hotel is not perfect, but for the price I have been really happy. The staff is friendly, the breakfast is simple (sweet pastries and coffee/Juice) but always surprisingly good, it is clean, and they have been more than accommodating. I believe most of the poor reviews on here are unfair, because we should acknowledge that by paying less, we are getting less man-hours for cleaning, desk service, etc. I have been more than impressed by everything considering how few staff I see- I have been here 5 days and have only seen about 5 different people total(two cleaning staff and three people at the desk). I would definitely recommend it for the price, the proximity to everything else, and how quiet it is because it is off the main street a bit.

The room was clean and nicer than I expected for the price. It was better than many places i have stayed which cost twice as much. The staff was very friendly and professional. They even included a continental breakfast (coffee, orange juice, and fresh pastries) Amazing!

Great value for money! I traveled with a friend and we only used the hotel to sleep and shower. Despite the bar under the hotel we never heard noise so we got a pretty good rest at night, the bed and pillows were comfortable. Cable TV available in a 32" screen Bathroom is clean and hot water always available so shower was totally Ok too. We never had breakfast at the hotel but I saw some muffins available and some minute maid juice. I did not have a car so I wouldn't know about the parking but for public transportation the location is good just a few blocks from market Street, Union Square, the ball park and there's a nice pizza place nearby. Totally recommend the place if you're just looking for a place to sleep and shower in a private bathroom plus a good location; ideal if you do not have a car. Plus it is an affordable place.

This place has not existed for at least a year and a half. Supposedly it is a globe hotel but it's 800 number does not work and the website is down. When this was an America Best value inn , it was a bargain with a great location and more.
