Our stay at the Queen Anne was just lovely! The hotel is very tastefully decorated, and we loved hanging out by the fireplace in the evening. In terms of location, it's in a safe area, a short walk to Fillmore where you'll find plenty of great restaurants, and it's very easy to Uber downtown if you need to. Shout-out to John for being so helpful.

Great hotel, only had some minor gripes. ### The good: - Front-desk is very helpful and kind - Cookies in the evening, unlimited tea and coffee in common area - Towels smell clean and nice! Not like bleach like in most hotels. Nice touch there. - The property itself is reminiscent of a true Victorian mansion, to the small details. ### The could be improved: - Please add just one more vegetarian friendly option to the breakfast! It would be 100% perfect if there was something like home potatoes/hash browns or at least salad to complement the eggs and toast. Otherwise, good! - One of the chairs in our room had a noticeable stain Overall a great place to stay!

Outstanding hotel! Gorgeous 1890 Victorian decorated throughout with lovely antiques. The staff were very helpful and friendly. The room was prestene. So comfortable and delightful we didn't want to leave. The surrounding area was walking distance to many restaurants, clubs, shopping, you name it. One, if not the nicest hotels we have ever stayed in. Perfection!

I am staying here for one night, currently at the hotel. The lobby is pretty cool looking, the staff is very friendly. The room I'm staying and doesn't have air conditioning I'm not sure about anything of the other rooms but it's currently 60° so I don't need the heater. Overall out of all the hotels I've stayed in San Francisco this is the nicest one. I would definitely recommend it.

Quaint, oldwordly hotel with friendly staff and a reasonable price. Sometimes you feel the US do Victorian better than the English as the interior decor is superb. Already the elevator has a chandelier, paisley bench and a framed window. The rooms have period wallpaper and cushions. Mine also had a fireplace. It was gorgeous.

Very central in the city, super unique styling with antique furniture and tons of character. Service was great, and the breakfast includes sausages and waffles, which is great, though the coffee leaves something to be desired. Also, tea and cookies from 4-6 is a great little perk. I would definitely stay again if I go back to SF.

This is a very unique hotel and honestly compares more to the bed and breakfasts I've stayed in while in the UK. The decor and building are Victorian themed and most of the decorations look to be legitimate antiques. The room service team was super nice and very accommodating. I was able to work off the wifi all week, including video meetings, without issue. The fireplace in the room was a nice touch for the October mornings and evenings. The bed was so comfortable my wife and I checked the label to see where we could get one. The only complaints I have are that the rooms could be a little cleaner overall with lots of dust on the decor, the decor itself needs a bit of "less is more" mindset (there was a garden fountain mounted to the wall in our room,) and randomly throughout the day a smell of sewage would creep up in the bathroom (it wasn't horrendous but someone with a sensitive nose would have probably minded it.)

Great place in Victorian style. The room was elegant and spacious. Staff was super friendly and helpful. Awesome living room area with fireplace where guests can hang out and enjoy cookies and sherry in the afternoon. Great locations to explore japatown and easy to visit other locations.

I stayed here during the holidays and it was a really awesome bnb! Service was great, rooms were quiet, and it was the perfect location for what I was looking for. It's a beautiful place if you take the chance to check out all of the floors. They offer your average continental breakfast in the morning which was decent and sherry wine and cookies in the evening. They also provide lemon water, coffee and tea all day in the main area and newspapers in the dining area. The only complaint I have were some fruit flies in the dining and main area. They also keep the front entrance locked and you buzz to get back in. There are some great food spots if you don't mind walking the area and hills of the streets. If you like Victorian charm, I recommend checking out this place!

Spent two nights at this hotel and it was a pleasant stay! The hotel itself is beautiful and historic; there is so much to see from the paintings to the wall papers to the antique furniture. The room was overall fine. It was very cold in the room and the wind made the room creak pretty loudly but after a bit I was able to go to sleep. The water pressure was good in the bathroom. The neighborhood was nice as well! Very quiet and had somewhat available parking.

Pros: - Great staff, welcoming, helpful, diligent. - Beautiful Christmas decors and fresh flowers. It adds a lot to the charm of this place. - Breakfast is lovely, lots of stuff to choose from, the staff there keep the dining area very clean, really appreciate that. - Home made cookies in three flavors, yummy!! Cons: - Hotel is ultimately about resting, the bed there is the WORST bed I’ve slept on in any other hotels, i felt like a ball fell into a valley once I get into that bed, it is way too sinky, I couldn’t fall asleep most of the nights and even if I do fall asleep I kelp waking up because how uncomfortable the bed was, these beds needed to be replaced years ago. - Paper thin walls, I can hear everything from my neighbors, people passing by our room, people walking upstairs, tv noise, talking voice, I know exactly when they wake up, because I had to wake up with them, zero insulations. - We both got bug bites while staying there. The loud noise I can understand, because it is an historical hotel. The bed, however, is intolerable, it is the biggest issue of this lovely place.

What a charming hotel! So glad I chose this for a quick trip to San Francisco. Staff were all incredibly friendly and helpful. Room was well-appointed, and the bed (a king) was SO comfy! I slept better than I have in chain hotels, the linens were so soft. Adored the common area! I appreciated the consistent supply of water, coffee, and tea (and coffee and sherry in the evenings!) and getting to read or just lounge in the common area was so relaxing, especially when a guest would hop on the piano and play some lovely music to accompany the fire. The furniture and decorations were so beautiful, I adored exploring the hotel to look at all the lovely touches. Only downside was the breakfast was so-so but if anything it gave me the motivation to head out the door to explore the San Francisco food scene.

The Queen Anne is a true gem! We stayed here on the last night of our honeymoon, and I only wish we could have stayed longer. Michael is a delightful, wonderful person. He was so kind and helpful during our stay. The hotel itself is beautiful and quite unique. The lobby is very nice and has a large area to sit and relax by the fireplace with a grand piano. The room was just as beautiful and well-decorated. We enjoyed the sherry and cookies in the afternoon, followed up with dinner recommendations from Michael, and relaxed in the evening with a really sweet gift of a bottle of champagne to celebrate our honeymoon. Japantown is nearby, and getting around the city was so easy using the public transportation system. The biggest downside of San Francisco is the cost and availability of parking, so if it isn’t necessary, don’t bring a vehicle. There is also a high rate of break-ins, and we did notice some glass near cars parked on the street. The Queen Anne was nice to hold our luggage so that we didn’t have to lock it inside the car while we were out exploring the city before our flight the next day. I truly can’t wait to return some day! Hopefully next time I don’t ding Michael’s Tesla with my luggage… (I’m still so sorry!) 😅

We had drs appointments and UCSF had this Hotel available for us to come down from Eureka Ca to spend two nights here. We are impressed with how this Hotel is and everything about it is. Absolutely Fabulous Hotel. What they offer is far beyond our expectations. We want to come back as long as UCSF is allowing us to come to this Hotel. Thank You UCSF for suggesting this Hotel.

In December the lobby was completely decked out for Christmas, with several fireplaces (gas) going, so it was really cozy to sit and read and relax. Woodwork throughout the building is beautiful. Beds comfortable!

Best hotel experience in California. Also the theme is great. Interior is gorgeous. Best thing about the hotel is Micheal. He is very gentle and kind. Best service I have ever got in my life including room service and reception. I would recommend this hotel to anyone likes to be treated well and cookies.

We stayed here for a few days and found the Queen Anne to be a lovely hotel. The interior is very charming and opulent, and the rooms are very very cute. Breakfast was great, there is tea and coffee in the lobby, and they put out sherry and cookies daily at 4pm. The lobby has a wonderful community feel, and there’s a chess set to play with.

I stayed at the Queen Anne the weekend of March 17 - 19 2023 I loved it! The staff was super nice, friendly and very professional, The hotel itself, beautiful! I felt I was in old San Francisco from the eighteenth hundreds, safe and clean area, their continental breakfast is more like a full breakfast, I did not do four o’clock tea because I spent most of my time out with “ my rent-a-kid “ just sightseeing SF. I highly recommend The Queen Anne Hotel, as it delivers what it’s advertised, their rates are excellent. I will definitely be staying there again. P.S. Since I was visiting “ my rent-a-kid “ who lives nearby The hotel gave me the neighborhood rate, better than AAA discount. (worth mentioning) Loved,Loved this hotel!♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️

It was cozy and festive, true to it's name, had a really vintage feel. Location was perfect, the breakfast was decent although the bread was stale, we really liked the coffee ☕️, we will definitely return in our next vacation to San Francisco.

My mother and father-in-law recommended we stay here and it’s now going to become our family tradition with our daughters and in-laws. It’s so beautifully decorated during the time we stayed, clean, breakfast was sensational and the stairs leading to the lobby with a piano and fireplace was our all time favorite ♥️

Very cool historic building! The staff was friendly, they have parking (a big win in SF area!) , and they let me play their baby grand during high tea and sherry 🥰🥰🥰 thanks again for being so great, you were the final stop on our amazing vacation and didn’t disappoint!

We have stayed in Queen Anne Hotel for 2 nights and all was perfect! The hotel has amazing atmosphere, breakfast was good, cookie and sherry was delicious. The room was small but clean and comfortable and the location of the hotel is excellent, in a very safe neighborhood. We can only recommend!

The heater system in room 301 does not work. Our first night we were there we were freezing. When we called the front desk to ask about the thermostat which looked like it was 30 years old, the man at the front desk said to “turn it to the right and then dial back to the sweet spot”. There was no “sweet spot”. The room was literally freezing all night long with NO extra blankets. In the morning the front desk man said that they just need to reset it and said the man at night is lazy. A man came to our room and stuck a screwdriver in the vent and something clicked and the heat jumped on. So the next night we had the opposite problem- we were sweating and could not control the temperature in the room. We cancelled the rest of our visit and left. Also the room is extremely dark and musty! They definitely need more lights in this room and the carpets changed!

We stayed here as a Priceline deal. Honestly wasn’t expecting much. The pictures online don’t really do it justice. Gorgeous hotel, great staff, clean rooms, breakfast included, afternoon tea, fresh cookies. Great value for money! Enjoyed our stay 😁

a classic Victorian style hotel near japantown. service is very warm and personable, and the rooms are similarly luxurious. beds are medium soft, everything worked fine but there was no hot water in the shower at night which is unacceptable. they tried to fix it but it's too much hassle. Breakfast was amazing especially if you are a low carb

We arrived a couple hours before the 3PM check in and they accommodated us. They also upgraded our room to one with a fireplace. We were too busy strolling SF to enjoy the afternoon sherry and tea from 4-6, but ate continental breakfast each day and enjoyed it. My wife loved the interior and exterior of the hotel. Beautiful hotel. Comfy beds. Central too most popular SF neighborhoods - we walked to the Wharf, Haight-Ashbury, and The Mission (on separate days).

Stayed here briefly during Halloween weekend. Location is very close to Japantown, so it's hard to be without anything to do nearby. The clerk was friendly and "upgraded" our room allegedly which I am not sure if true but appreciate the hospitality nonetheless. I also appreciated the free candy, cookies and coffee available in the main lobby. The entire hotel has the Victorian aesthetic, which I thought was the coolest feature of the place. The only thing keeping me from rating this place higher is the fact they don't offer free parking, or at least parking at a reduced rate nearby. It was $30 for parking for the entire weekend, which sucked. Aside from that though, I did enjoy my stay and would consider returning if need be. Edit: Considering the fact parking is even offered and knowing how crazy parking can get anywhere else, I adjusted to 4*.

If you like history and want to know what it was like to live in San Francisco during the old Victorian era, then definitely stay here! It’s very centrally located and easily accessible to most tourist attractions by car/taxi. I want to especially note just how wonderful the staff is. Truly went above and beyond for all of my needs. One of the best hotel experiences I’ve had while traveling for business. Already looking forward to my next SF trip and I plan to stay here!
