Beck's REALLY treats their customers right! Everything was top notch! HUGE shout out to the maintenance man ... who was more than that - he gave the best customer service we have ever experienced from a hotel! He personally saw to it that we had everything we needed:early check-in, got us a luggage cart, checked our room to make sure it was to our liking, got us extra pillows, and even returned the luggage cart for us upon checkout the next morning. Free parking is a huge plus in San Fran. The room was very comfortable and perfect for the 4 of us. We felt safe and secure. Location was perfect - within walking distance to many places. Front desk staff was extremely friendly and knowledgeable. Overall great stay - we highly recommend Beck's Motor Lodge the next time you are in San Fran. We will definitely stay there the next time we are in San Fran.

This lodge is very comfortable. Except the bed mattress. I still give them 5 stars because, I sincerely believe a hotel running as smoothly and effortlessly as this one is needs to be acknowledged. Our room was on the third story and appears to may have been added on at some point. The room has a king size bed with window that slides open and looks out into a residential area. Nice double wooded hinges on this window make the room feel like home. The carpeted area had extra padding with wall to wall carpet. A nice comfy side chair and As well as 4x4 length baseboards. Character is what I see in this hotel room.

Great hotel in the heart of The Castro district. Walk to all your destinations easily. Catch public transit outside. Friendly and knowledgeable staff that will give you ideas on where to go in town. Quiet rooms, safe and not too expensive.

This hotel is very cute and in an amazing location. The staff was super friendly and helpful. Coming in, the rooms felt quite secure since you need a key card to get on the stairs or in the elevator, so even though it's a motel not just anyone can be outside your room. There was also a security guard on duty when we got back to our hotel in the early morning. The rooms are cute and comfortable, and the shower in particular is great. However, the walls are very thin so you can hear your neighbors on all sides as well as people walking by and street noises at all times - however they did provide a pair of earplugs. Additionally there was quite a gap under our door that let in lots of light and also felt like a security concern, and there was only the one lock on the door as opposed to also having a chain or other form of lock. The parking lot is also a bit of a mess but parking was free and there was a good amount of it which was great! This hotel was a great price and overall was very good. I would stay here again!

Good value and very well placed to enjoy all tgat SF has to offer. Good check in and easy self parking. They have created a list of all the good restaurants and bars. Housekeeping service is brilliant. Some rooms do pick up quite a bit of street sounds but we were not bothered by this at all. Recommended for foodies and lovers of nightlife among all the pretty people of SF.

This is a quaint older 3-story motel on busy Market St. It has been renovated in the last few years and is already due for some paint in a few areas (behind the bathroom slider in our unit). The rooms were nicely furnished and the bathroom had an adequate supply of amenities. The coffee maker did make single cups of coffee but is not a Keurig type maker. Bummer for folks like us who always travel with their own baggy of K-cups. There is parking for guests on the ground floor, one of the big points on this being my first choice. Parking is not sealed off from the street but it’s very secure. It’s located in a nice little community with lots of cafes, bistro’s and bars within walking distance. The staff were friendly and helpful. We found BML to be nice lodging for the price and would recommend to friends. These folks went out of their way to make my family and I comfortable while I was at UCSF for a medical procedure. In addition to a discounted rate, they were flexible when the hospital unexpectedly decided to release me early. We really appreciate their hospitality! Important point here: Google the Castro District before making reservations. The Castro is like the heart of the GLBT community in SF. If that makes you uncomfortable than this is probably not some place you are going to want to stay. I would also not recommend it to anyone wanting the Hilton experience. This isn’t that.

Total satisfaction! We stayed for more than a week due to family in hospital and the staff was kind, friendly and accomodating. I loved the revival of the motor lodge days and the decor. Nice clean renovated rooms with big new bathrooms, comfy beds, small fridges, free parking and delicious coffee with real cream! The location was excellent with walking distance to restaurants, Whole Foods, and tourist attractions. I would definitley stay here again.

Terrible customer service. Reserved a room in July through a search engine and was charged for a date end of May. Did not catch the error until after I was charged for the no-show. Tried to resolve the issue directly with the hotel but after two days of trying to reach the owner I finally was able to speak with her, only to be blamed for her losing money on the room and zero understanding. Am now trying to block the charge through my credit card company. I wish I had never heard of Beck’s Motor Lodge because this is turning into a nightmare.

Great location. Room clean and tidy. They even gave us recommendations of local bars to visit. Friendly staff, late check out was allowed for a fee which was great.

The hotel itself is in a great location for people visiting the city. The rooms are basic but you have everything you need. The shower is very good and equipped with good quality products. The room is also kept spotlessly clean which is a credit to the staff. We had no issues with noise and thought it was generally quiet giving it quite a busy area. The only let down is the gaps in the door which makes it difficult to maintain a temperature in the room. We stayed in November and the room got cold over night or too hot as the only heat source is a direct heater. Would highly recommend though and would happily stay at Becks again if I was visiting Sam Fransisco which I hope to again one day!

Great location. Parking is free and fairly secure. Older rooms, but updated interiors and decor. Clean rooms in general. I would stay here again.

My new favorite. The bed and towels could use a refresh but serviceable, clean, friendly location near the Castro. I liked the bathroom products, loved the skylight, and it's nice to stay in a great neighborhood. Easy Muni ride to do tourist stuff with the family or go to meetings downtown.

Beck's Motor Lodge is a fabulous place just a stones throw to the Castro neighborhood. A short walk and your there. Totally renovated rooms, very clean retro look and well stocked with great amenities. On site parking is available and highly recommend to park it and leave it as the spaces are first come first serve. Beck's is always our preferred place to stay when we go to SFO.

The best kept secret on Market Street! Husband and I came to San Francisco for my birthday, I hadn't been in 15 years. We stayed at Becks. An amazing location that is close to Castro and the trolley stop. The room was clean and other than traffic noise, it was quiet. It is a bit pricey; however, for the location I'd pay it any day.

Great location and I felt safe with my car there even though I took everything out! Really comfortable rooms and super cute renovations. Ed was an absolute gem at the front desk! Will be back!

The room is reasonable and clean. The main highlight is really the location within Castro. It’s just a few minutes walk to Castro street. The one thing I didn’t anticipate was the main window facing directly to the walkway. It’s a bit awkward if you don’t want to see or be seen.
