We have enjoyed our dinners here before. Today was an exceptional experience and I want to qualify that before one reads ahead. We were subjected to differential treatment, my guess is, this is part of a larger legacy of brown on brown racism that Indian restaurants inevitably subject Indians to. Smiles were few and far in between (so relentless was the strict seriousness that we were reluctant to follow up with requests for cutlery). The food was subpar, at best. I was just discussing how a 5 bucks a plate biriyani in a sketchy Delhi neighborhood looked like the food on our plate. The pakoras were worse than the government hostel pakoras we used to get on Sundays. Much reminisce, nothing good. Won’t return.

I have never thought of a situation that an insect can pop out of the salad I ordered, but it did happen. It showed some sign of rotten lettuce leaves. No apology was made from the restaurant. They just took the plate away and did not charge. Very very bad experience for me visiting for the first time. Just be transparent if you feel not confident with the freshness. Better than serving something like this. Weigh by yourself before you have your meals there.

Amazing flavors and decent amount of food! Great service, nice atmosphere in an ample space in the heart of Financial District. I recommend getting the North India Thali (plate) for Two!!! You will get a taste of samosas, chicken tandoori, masala, spinach paneer, papadam and more. All super fresh and delicious. Yummy! They also deliver food.

The most authentic Indian food on the west coast. It’s been 7yrs I moved to states and have visited almost every city in west coast and 60% east coast — this is the only place in west coast that makes the best Indian food — it’s not too spicy and they always ask you about your palate and then adjust the spices accordingly. If you are looking for some really nice Indian cuisine this is the place to go. — and if you are an Indian from SF and you haven’t it then don’t even call yourself Indian anymore. The staff is so nice and the service is next level. Very hygienic and sanitized place — ask uncle to make you a drink and he makes it the way he likes it — which I don’t any bartender can do in San Fran — best place to enjoy some authentic food with great wine or uncle drinks (Patiala Style Whisky Peg)

My husband and I had lunch here today. This location is a short walking distance from many museums and fun things in San Francisco. This is a nice white tablecloth restaurant yet casual, welcoming, and friendly to all. The food was exceptionally well prepared and presented and the service was warm and attentive. All our food was wonderful, but a huge shoutout to their Tandoori Shrimp, which came out sizzling and delectable. (Also...the restaurant was spic and span and so were the washrooms.)

Very cute spot for late night Indian food. If you’re looking for dine in after 9pm. Closes at 11pm. Food is delicious! Order chicken tiki masala, and garlic naan so yummy!! Highly recommend. Will definitely be coming back here when I’m in town.

We came from NJ and I was craving Indian food since our stay in SF. Their food was so good and I’m glad we came here. Great place to bring family especially for a celebration or just a casual meal. I loved the chili naan and Bombay Chicken (great choices if you’re desiring some spicy hot Indian food). Everything was so flavorful!!!!

Wanted to like this place but will definitely look elsewhere. Ordered takeout through UberEats(which has its own issues) and did not receive my whole order. Ordered Pulao, Chicken Tikka Masala & Veggie Samosa. Rice was missing and the bag wasn't even sealed or stapled. Veggie samosa was good, at least I had that to dip into the sauce. The chicken tikka was average and for $16.95 not of value when I got 6.5 pieces of chicken. Also it was dryer than the Atacama desert. 2 stars for atmosphere as the pics of the resto look clean at least.

Amazing North Indian food and desserts! They have legit North Indian chefs, a very attentive waiting staff, and good service. I only wish the garlic naan was fresher.

This place was very average in service, food and ambiance. It was more like a dhaba ( roadside vendors in India) than a Indian restaurant, which would have been fine if I didn't have higher expectations. The food was somewhat more oily than my preference. The food was also spilling out of the utensils, which put me off for some reason. We also asked the waiter if they have paneer butter masala and he said yes but got us paneer makhani anyways. It is okay if they didn't have paneer butter masala but they should have just communicated that to us. Overall very average experience. There are better Indian restaurants in the city at more affordable prices that I prefer to eat at. However, my husband liked the place and said he would give it 4 stars so no harm in trying once.

Food was tasty, although I think it could be better. My mango lassi drink was absolutely delicious. But I am giving a 3 star rating overall because the restaurant was cheap and not very well maintained and the staff was not very well behaved. I will not return here unless I go back for a mango lassi to go.

This was a great experience! Came here for a lunch on our last day in California. Food was really good. A perfect North Indian food experience. We ordered the dal, paneer dish, Raita and the bread basket. Each bread was different and so flavorful we could just eat them alone. Five stars for the service. Would definitely visit again when we are in San Francisco. Also thank you for the sweet :)

Amazing food !!! Everything we ordered was soooo good and way way way more than expected. The restaurant is so beautiful with roses out at each and every table. The staff were all so lovely and kind. Always smiling and happy to answer questions about the menu and offer recommendations. This is absolutely a place you could add into your regular rotation. Happy to support this business always

A good way to evaluate a restaurant is sometimes to order a dish that's not super common. There are a list of common dishes which almost every restaurant prepares well but uncommon one really tells you about their varieties. I ordered Navratan Korma and Pulav which is probably not so regular dishes. To be honest they have assorted collection of veggies that they put in with correct spice level and masalas. I felt they overdid turmeric and I could almost taste raw turmeric flavor. But it wasn't so had to ruin the recipe. Overall good job.

Super fast courteous service. The staff are very friendly & hospitable. The food is authentic, good portion sizes and delicious. We were in & out in an hour thanks to the surprisingly fast service. We left with happy full bellies.

The food here was top tier...and this was the vegetarian menu! This is definitely prepared as if it were a king to be feasting on this dish! I couldn't even finish it all because there was SO MUCH FOOD! 🤣😋👍 .. so I gave it to the birds and they had a FEAST

This place is close to the place we stayed in so we went there for dinner. It was not crowded. The menu is old with prices not updated. They blatantly said that everything is $2 extra over what is written. We ordered Aloo parantha. It was well prepared, just that it was a little bland in taste. So we ordered paneer jhalfrasy and assorted breads. Overall, the food was tasty and filling. For the price point only I deducted the rating. But otherwise, it was a decent option.

If there was a way to capture and retain flavors, I wish I could have done so with the Butter Chicken!! Super soft and juicy chicken marinated in the best buttery sauce! I almost licked my plate clean! Great location, easy to get to. Ample seating, awesome songs and ambiance, and the service was superb!!! I went for the lunch buffet and the variety of items was good, fresh, and delicious! I highly recommend this restaurant!

Elegant Indian restaurant in the financial district of SF. Great Staff and Amazing Food! Highly recommend the pakora as an appetizer and the green sauce it comes with is delicious. The chicken tikka kebab is the best Indian kebab I’ve tried. Chana and Palao rice go great together as well. The waiter who seated us also gave us a complimentary dessert so that we can give them a nice review. Gulab jaman is delicious and sweet. Highly recommend this Indian restaurant!!!! Amazing experience.

Loved the chicken tikka masala it could serve two. They don’t rush you here. I also got the vegetable samosa which was pretty good. The sauces it came with was spicy. Worth a try if you want authentic Indian food.

I've had the pleasure of eating here twice and have only had positive experiences. Phenomenal food, speedy service and great atmosphere. If you have an indian food craving and are in SF, make sure to come to North India so workers like Amrinder Singh and others can make you feel at home

The experience was amazing. Our server Palvinder was an excellent person. He was quick and agile and was very courteous. It's been a long time that I had such a nice experience in any restaurant. This place revived my faith in ever loosing hospitality industry. Definitely recommend this place, if you ever visit San Francisco, and want to enjoy some good Indian cuisine.
