The food here is absolutely delicious, and the prices are very good. I thoroughly enjoyed the fact that the menu very clearly labelled whether something was vegan or not (as well as other allergens). The first waiter (the older gentleman) that we had was so attentive and patient and even offered my partner his opinion about which wine he should get. If we had only had a starter and main, this review would be 5 stars. Unfortunately, we were forgotten about for over an hour (perhaps it was because we had a seat furthest from the door?). We were able to then get the attention of a different waiter to order more wine and dessert, our wine came promptly but the dessert was then forgotten again for another 20 minutes and my partner had to go in and ask where it was. They gave us the dessert and the two glasses of wine on the house (though I expect the wine was only free because they had forgotten about it). When the dessert eventually arrived, it came with a dirty fork. We were here for over 2.5 hours. So disappointing because the food was so delicious. If the food didn't taste as good as it did, the stars would be lower.

Cuttlefish Risotto is super tasty! Risotto needs 2 person minimum to order it. The waiter was really hospitalized. There is a nice atmosphere in the restaurant. It feels like a local Venice restaurant with many books. 😋😋 we are satisfied.

The snails in carbonara are very delicious. The mozzarella and ham was deep-fried and not very tasty. I would not recommend this dish if you are on the healthy side. The staff is very friendly, and there is life piano music, which makes the atmosphere great.

Fantastic meal and evening. We were staying nearby and went based on reviews. Thankfully got there early as there was a solid lime formed outside before opening. Nice service from a small team and the food is incredible. You’d be insane not to get a pasta. Both we had were great. Also had the steak to share which was amazing! Good wine choices by the glass or carafe and the atmosphere is cute, small and inviting. Please go you will not regret it.

Fresh pasta. Great tiramisu. Friendly service. A bit of waiting but what’s the rush when you’re in Italy? Bonus: very cute outdoor seating. Will be back.

Lovely place to eat! Rather small but cosy. Very friendly accommodating staff. If there is no immediate space they will let you wait at the counter for a short while to be seated but don't be surprised if you get turned away if full. Food was great, if you order risotto, it truly takes 30 mins as it's cooked from scratch. It was an amazing risotto (sausage and mushroom) but I did get food envy when everyone got their food before me! Otherwise, quick service.

I loved this place so much I want to come back already (and I just left). Food is amazing but the best part is the atmosphere. It was chill and cosy and warm and caring and I’ve never said that about a restaurant before so this is a first. We came in around dinner time on a rainy day. It was relatively quiet (there was only one other customer at first), but that didn’t matter. 1- this is a small lounge bar / restaurant. It can only accommodate 20 customers max, and everything is set up in a cosy comfortable setting with books filling one wall, soft armchairs for those who want to lounge, bar seating and bistro tables. Their book selection won me over. This seems like the perfect place to spend an afternoon reading, coupled with tea, snacks and dessert. 2- anyway after sitting down, a guy starts playing the piano live in the middle of the room. He might work there, or he might just be doing it for fun but gosh he was good. Really gave the restaurant the Venetian flair; pairing some great music with amazing food. This guy made my day. Seriously so good. 3- food good. Had the risotto Nero (great!! Try it!!) the sardines (tastes like sardines but it’s a Venetian specialty so it’s a must) and the zuccotto which is a Italian twist on a tiramisu. Tbh I like a tiramisu more; zuccotto wasn’t for me. But that’s not on this place that’s just me. 4- the menu is huge! Worth calling out because it really felt like you could get anything. They have a long list of appetizers; so you could probably sit there, have some wine and eat a stream of different tasting snacks. 5- the staff were the friendliest most welcoming people possible. They kept checking in (not in an annoying way), asking if I was cold, turning on the heat and angling it towards me. Felt like I was at home. 6- oh also the kitchen is directly in the restaurant. So ask the pianist is going you can hear the cooking (they have a great vent don’t worry) but that was just chefs kiss best experience ever.

Best risotto I have eve tasted. The rice was cooked to perfection and if you get the mushroom and sausage risotto, the mushrooms were also the star of the show. The owners were really friendly and the service was warm. Do note however, that there is a minimum quantity of 2 portions so the price of the risotto is 2 times of the stated price in the menu.

One of the best meals of our trip. We got the homemade gnocchi and shared the zucchini risotto. Absolutely amazing! We also shared the zuccotto for dessert. Highly recommend, get there early because it’s small and gets very crowded. Would definitely go again!!!

This spot is amazing, the staff is so friendly, and so affordable. We’ve been to various regions of Italy, and this was one of the best spots we ate at. The pesto and spicy sausage pastas were amazing - not to mention the 3 euro glasses of wine!

This is a wonderful restaurant with very passionate owners and chef. The spaghetti was maybe the best I had in our trip through northern Italy. The prices are very fair. Highly recommended!

The restaurant is a hidden gem! The staff was super friendly and fun - we had a great time! The food was delicious! The home-made bigoli in salsa and gnocchi in tomato sauce were amazing, as was the home-made tiramisu! The grappa in the used coffee cup was an appropriate end to the evening!

A really cozy and lovely place. The crowd leans towards hipster, but you can really find anyone of any age in here. It's the type of place that serves really delicious, homely meals in a relaxed (though busy) atmosphere, where you could enjoy a fun conversation with strangers or just get to pet another patron's cool dog for a bit. And the food itself (from the creative bruschettas and appetizers to the sweet desserts) is great across the board. Plus, you get to explore the beautiful neighbourhoods of Dorsoduro outside the main tourist-packed attractions in order to get to this place.

Don’t take the pictures as professional ones. You need to come here. I am still sat inside this place whilst hearing the piano playing. I’ve had the potato soufflé, which was good but unfortunately - as expected - already made and just warmed up. Good though. After I got the lemon pasta and it was just one of the best and most descomplicated dishes I ever had. I use to do this one and mine compared with this is just a joke. Finally I got something that everybody in the whole world should try. The ricotta and chocolate pie. That should be forbidden!! I am not - probably - coming again because I’m staying only two days, but this is a must try and the piano is just an extra. Amazing staff and atmosphere 5*

A tiny little spot with great service and food. There are no reservations so you will need to wait. We waited about 20min but one couple waited about an hour. Staff were friendly, it’s a lean operation and the venue is always full so you might have longer wait times than normal for service but that’s because the staff are working hard! Venue was clean, cosy and well lit, very cheap but great quality. We paid under 40 euros for 2 drinks and 2 mains. Would recommend and go back. Gnocchi and pesto bigoli was really good!

This is a wonderful, charming restaurant tucked in an alley in Venice. The sausage and mushroom risotto, fried veggies (appetizer), and zuccotto (dessert) were excellent. And to top it off, we were treated to live piano music during dinner. The space is intimate and comfortable, and the staff are very welcoming. Highly recommend!!

A small but mighty restaurant/bar. There was a live piano player sitting beside us but instead of being overwhelming it made it cozy and brought a lovely atmosphere to the room. The food was simple but incredible, the bigoli and gnocchi were made in house and the parmigiana was “melt in your mouth” The desserts were very generous portions and equally delicious. One of the best parts was how wonderful and kind our server (the owner) was taking. He went out of his way to help us understand and ensure that we were enjoying the meal. I would definitely recommend!!

Very authentic food. Each meal was delicious full of flavour. Based on reviews tiramisu did not disappoint. Sat down a narrow romantic alley way. Would come back for sure.

We enjoyed an outstanding lunch at Bacaro Vintido’ today and really appreciate Rafaelo who took great care of us even when it got busy. We started with the snails which were fresh, well-prepared, and conveniently served with all the utensils. We also had the mixed cichette which included generous portions with a variety of tasty flavors including fish and squid, as well as some fried bites of fish, meat , and vegetable. For mains we shared a wonderful aubergine parmigiana and the homemade gnocchi Gorgonzola which were rich and satisfying. The house Malbec and a lovely sweet white wine complemented our dishes nicely. For dessert the zuccotto was amazing; lightly sweet and similar to tiramisu with some chocolate chunks. A strong espresso finished it off. We couldn’t resist trying a couple shots of grappa for the road. A nice kick to get us motivated to leave the comparable environs of this cozy and delightful restaurant. Best of all was the very reasonable bill at the end which could easily have been doubled or more when compared with other places of similar quality. Thank you for a memorable experience to treasure for our anniversary.

Ordered the mushroom risotto and I was not disappointed! Service was tentative and food was delicious! Would recommend. Not too expensive either. Seating was in a lovely back street with a couple of tables. There is no pre booking here unfortunately so can be waiting in line for a while as there is not many tables.

This place offers unique food. Loved their potato soufflé. The pasta is perfectly timed and just right amount of flavour. The service is quite good and staffs are friendly. Price is reasonable for about 10-15 per main, ~ 5 for starters.

I didn't know this place. We just ended up here by chance and what a lovely surprise it was. The restaurant was quite busy and we had to wait outside for a while but the time was spent with a nice glass of prosecco in out hands and chatting with other waiting in line customers. The owner of the restaurant was super friendly and helpful and I could see she was looking to sit us down as soon as possible. So my very first impression was already positive but the food just confirmed that feeling. Everything was very good, all home made and delicious. It was nice to see foreigners and local together in this little but cosy space. Next time, we will definitely go back in order to try something new on their list. Thanks a lot and see you soon.

I took my friends here for my birthday dinner and it was absolutely awesome. The food, the atmosphere, the staff. Just keep in mind that the place is very popular and it's getting full right after the opening. Pasta were awesome, lasagna and parmigiana as well but beware of leaving the sauce on your plate! The staff is saying you should mandatory clean it with bread 😅 Tiramisu was a perfect finish. I highly recommend it!

This was my last meal in Venice and I was a bit disappointed. We arrived in the area 20 mins before it opens at 7pm, and we were in the first group of people to be seated. If you miss the first seating, it'll probably be another 1.5hr before you get seated so I'd recommend planning accordingly. There was a pretty long lineup before opening. We sat in the back alley where there are a couple tables for 2, lit by a single light above each table. Very nice atmosphere! We ordered the squid ink risotto ($15 each) and carbonara, and the vegetable balls. The vegetable balls were okay, and we're glad we ordered them since it was another 1hr+ before we got our pasta. We knew the risotto was quoted at a 30 min wait, but the carbonara took even longer than that! That's a long time to wait for a meal. The waitress even asked if we were ready for dessert before our pasta was ready... At least the water is free since we went through quite a bit while we were waiting. As for the food, it was good. I was expecting a bit more flavor but the price was fair for what we got. I'd recommend this restaurant but not if you're in a rush.

I'm writing this as our third time here. Food is excellent, service was excellent and the atmosphere is hard to beat. Being from Canada we don't get this kind of experience anywhere. We tried the gnocchi with meat sauce and the one with gorgonzola, both were excellent. Also had pesto and carbonara and those were also excellent. Waiter was amazing, friendly and recognized us our second and third time. Onion souffle was soooo good, meatball was really good, chichetti is excellent. Reasonable prices for wine and food. Glad we found this place.

Great service, affordable, and surprisingly romantic seating in their dark back alley behind the restaurant. Loved the fresh pasta, liver and onions, and very impressed that the octopus was perfectly cooked too. Would come back!

Stopped in this little place after the polpette in the window caught our eye. These are small fried balls with different fillings. We tried 3 different kinds plus a fried sandwich with mozzarella and ham. Out of the polpette, the spinach & cacio y pepe were my favorite. Very reasonably priced, quaint, and away from many tourists. Might return here for wine, dessert, and/or dinner as they had a great selection there as well.

I absolutely loved my visit to Bacaro Vintido. The food was delicious and very reasonably priced for the quality. The atmosphere was very relaxing and we were seated out in the small venetian alley out the back of the restaurant. My favourite part of the entire experience way our server Roger who was very welcoming and gave us great recommendations and even a bit of Italian. Would highly recommend!

The food was amazing as was the service. We enjoyed the romantic atmosphere in the outdoor seating area and saw the cozy family atmosphere in the indoor area while we waited for a table. Great care was taken to prepare delicious food.

Food like nowhere else, 10 days in Italy and finding this little place in Venice made everything better, food it’s insanely delicious and make sure it you do come here to be early cause the waiting table it might take long, they open 6:30pm staff and extremely friendly and they will make sure you’re comfortable and have everything! Gotta try it :)

Definitely worth of visiting. Food, price and especially service of "older" writer is incredible. With very nice sense of humor, great jokes and poses can make smile on face of all around. Moreover, waiter knows what is in the food and how it is prepared... Food really tasty or rather very good. Much more above Venezia average. Definitely worth to visit. Prices are average and appropriate:) We will come back!

The reviews don't lie, this restaurant is amazing. From the amazing staff to the tiramisu to die for, everything is top notch. The atmosphere is great as the restaurant looks cute and there is live piano music. I would personally recommend everyone to try their carbonara, it is the best one i ever had. Sadly not possible to eat here with more than 3 as the tables are small, perfect for couples. One last thing i have to say is that this restaurant is extremely cheap for venice, the price/quality ratio is insane (e.g. 2 euros for a glass of wine and free water).

This place was amazing! Server was so attentive and charming and the food was out of this world. This is the best place to eat in Venice as far as I'm concerned.

This was the most beautiful restaurant. I am still sitting in it now as I write this because I had such a great experience and had to share. The food was not only incredible but the service was amazing. There was a live pianist playing during our meal who played beautifully and even played our requests and shared conversation. Our waiter Rafael was so kind and had a great sense of humor. I would recommend and definitely come back.
