I stayed at the NH for a long stay while visiting family in San Sebastian. There were pandemic-related restrictions in place, but the NH still did a fantastic job and I had a great stay. The hotel is well located, a short walk to the beach but set back from the busier roads closer to the beach, so it's very quiet. The hotel staff was fantastic, they were incredibly helpful. The bed is great, nice solid quality, and I slept fantastic during my trip. My only issue I ever had was some noisy other nearby guests here and there, but the hotel staff very kindly and gracefully dealt with any issues that came up (which were also very rare, and I stayed quite a while). I would be happy to stay here again and would highly recommend staying at the NH.

Unlike many other hotels in San Sebastian, we were warmly welcomed here as a group of 23 people from the Balletschool Kreuzlingen/Switzerland, participating at the Dance World Cup 2022. The team at the reception is very very friendly and helpful. The breakfast is rich and very good. The rooms are nice and very clean. Between the competitions we always look forward to a rest and relaxation break here in the hotel. We are recommend the hotel and give 5 stars :)

This would have had more stars but it does not have air conditioning and although it’s lovely and modern we were baking in our room. We kept trying to make the thermostat work in the middle of the night, to no avail. So we opened the windows but on the first floor the street noise and barking dogs kept us awake all night. No sleep which ruined our following day. The attached restaurant is fantastic.

After 17 years of traveling worldwide, this has been my absolute best experience. Ever. The rooms are awesome, but the key factor is the service. All of the hotel employees I interacted with went above-and-beyond to help my son and me out with whatever we needed. When the coffee machine was inoperable, they had someone at my door in 3 minutes flat to trouble shoot it. When it was determined to be non-functional, they had it replaced in 2 minutes. Additionally Juan Antonio (night shift the night of 29 Jun) was extremely kind and helpful, getting us all set up for the next day and answering all of my questions. Finally, this is the best hotel gym I've ever seen. It has a full set of free weights, a squat rack, a deadlift matt, a bench, and up to 120 Kg of barbell weights (not including thr bar). They also had kettle bells and crossfit-type equipment, not to mention the cable machine, bikes, and treadmills. Again, this was by far my best hotel experience. Ever. I highly recommend them, and I am incredibly greatful for their employees' phenomenal and kind service.

Very happy, warm and friendly staff. Huge, comfortable and high tech rooms. Good and secure underground parking, but expensive at 25 euros a night. It is a short walk to the beach, but around 25 minutes into the town centre (along the beach front). We would definitely stay here again in the future.

Amazing stay! Largest room I've ever had in Europe. The service was truly 5 stars from the moment we entered the hotel to the time we left. Just a short walk from the beach and surrounded by local eatery's, this gem of hotel is located at the more "local" end of the bay with a easy 25 minute walk from the city center. We were impressed with the attention to detail by staff and especially the bartender Lina at the restaurant. The workout room is large but you do have to walk outside to get to it. The room itself had amazing pillows and a wonderful rain shower and soaking tub with a separate room for the toilet. It also had duo sinks. If you're looking for a luxury stay in a quite part of town and still near the beach then you have found your spot.

Modern and clean NH hotel, located very close to the beach and 20-minute walk distance from the the old town. We enjoyed walking and took it as a kind of exercise after eating all the good food. The hotel does have garage parking available even with some spots where there are "household sockets" that can be used to charge your e vehicle overnight.

Very convenient hotel in the outskirts of San Sebastian. The place is clean and the staff is very friendly. Rooms are spacious and with comfortable beds. There is a parking and it's also possible to park on the streets with a small fee. The city center is a bit far away, in case interested. To mention, really excellent breakfast with a lot of good quality products.

Room was spacious and clean which also came with coffees/teas. The location of the hotel is in a quiet district, somewhat residential away from the busy old town area which we liked. However the walls are quite thin so you can hear everything from the hallway to your upstair neighbors. The service we have received from the front desk receptionists couldn’t have been worse. On our first night on arrival, we were quite tired and hungry, we asked the receptionist about the restaurant that’s part of the hotel, to which we were told coldly ‘this is a hotel, that’s a restaurant, if you want to know more about it you need to ask the restaurant’. Be that as it may, the receptionist could have explained it in a much warmer/nicer tone. Then on the third night we asked about having late check out, again we were told coldly ‘you need to call tomorrow morning’, without a slight smile which almost made me feel sorry for troubling her. Is it because we don’t speak Spanish? This is possibly the worse customer service we’ve ever experienced from a hotel.

Had a lovely stay at the NH in San Sebastián! The location can’t be beat - it’s within walking distance to the beach and nearby cafes and markets to pick up anything you may need. The room was spacious and the bed was very comfortable. The hotel provided robes, slippers, and all of the basic necessities. We felt safe staying here, and the concierge was available 24/7. It’s also located along a bus route which was perfect for catching a ride to old town!

Great hotel in a little quite residential area, around 25 minutes walk from the old town. Our room had a great size and all the amenities that we needed. Shower was good. The stuff was very attentive of the only improvement would be the check in speed. We park our car on the street for 4€ your day, given the hotel parking with 25€ was quite high. In either way, we would return if returning to San Sebastián.

Had a very pleasant stay at Aranzazu for 3 days. The rooms were pleasant and comfortable with very impressive blackout shades. The neighborhood was quiet and the hotel resturant/bar had some interesting cocktails. Breakfast was 22 euro if you reserved in advance and was very tasty/satisfying. Would recommend staying with family or for quiet enjoyment. Its about a 35 minute walk to the old city but there are many bus stops nearby to quickly get around San Sebastian.

Nice modern hotel with clean rooms and reasonable priced compared with other 4 star rated hotels. Only downside is 35 min walk to old town, overpriced mediocre buffet breakfast restaurant and paper thin walls. (Could hear every word from next door. Helpful staff.

Nice rooms, excellent location in short walking distance from the beach. Parking is 25 Euro and breakfast is not recommended. Better to spend less money in one of the lively cafés nearby.

Nice room & comfortable, but I can’t compare with NH at Frankfurt (it’s more modern and fresh). Great breakfast, small remarks, as I’m vegetables fan, it was too small choice 🥗, e.g. missing tomato’s

Another good NH member hotel. All good including rooms, service, front desk.. Prices are a bit higher than other NH hotels we hae stayed.

We got nice and spacious room, but room bad maintenance. Coffee machine not working. Mini bar not cold. We were given free breakfast as compensation for the inconvenience.

Comfortable, clean and stylish hotel with large rooms and well-appointed bathrooms. Buffet breakfast is available every morning with a large variety of foods - suitable for everyone. Staff is very friendly and helpful. The hotel is in a quiet area of town and a short walk to the beach. A walk to old town takes about 30 minutes, which is actually a decent way to finish a night of pintxos!

The additional cost nearly doubled the price of the room and did put a bit of a downer on the stay. We paid 35 euros for a 5kg dog overnight and an additional 25 euros for overnight parking. We have just travelled 6000 km around Europe over the last 4 weeks and these costs are by far the highest that we have experienced.

I've spent a lot of time here and it's always the same wonderful experience. The staff are fluent in Spanish, Basque and English (and probably more!) and always helpful and polite. The breakfast is something I always look forward to. It's a smorgasbord style filled with freshly cooked eggs etc., pastries, cereals, fresh fruit etc... Two minutes walk to the beach in a safe area, 20mins walk along the beach to the old town for a feast! What more can to ask for?!

The hotel is nice, housekeeping is good, beds are very comfy and location is good. Also the restaurant is very nice, with good drinks and food. However, you can’t make a reservation for a double bed which I is a bit service unfriendly considering the high reviews and the price. We checked in after a very long drive and got two single beds, while we did leave an extensive note in the reservation. At the reception they said they were able to switch rooms but in the end they made a mistake, which was a double disappointment. They could have suggested a compensation for this mistake but they did not. First impression in terms of service was not great.

When calling the reception with a simple question, whether a room for the night would be available, wouldn't tell me, just reconnect me to an automatic call in spanish. When calling again, they hung up on me almost straightaway. Unbelievably rude. Ended up staying elsewhere.

Very clean, modern hotel. Excellent breakfast. Restaurant very good. Terrific location- close to the beach and walkable to the center of town.

The room was nice, and minus a weird hiccup borrowing an adaptor where the concierge wanted a 10 euro deposit, despite having my credit card on file (another one, when I mentioned it to him, just handed it to me). Had to keep the thermostat at 10C constantly to keep the room at around 20C, with it still getting strangely stuffy in the morning, though most of the time just having the windows open was lovely. Speaking of, if you're a light sleeper, expect to hear every door on your floor closing like the vaults of Ft Knox as guests check out and housekeeping, all of whom were really friendly and helpful, do their thing The food at the restaurant was pretty good (try the wild boar ribs. Tasted so good and you could slide the bones out easily), but a little steep (25E for breakfast? I assume it was good, though). M Martin across the street is a better option, IMO, if they're open. I'd avoid the other one, but you're mileage may vary. I understand not having a lot of English options on TV, but some way of casting would be nice. Then again, a 5-star we stayed at further south didn't either, so this just isn't a trend that seems to have caught on in Spain yet.

A decent hotel with a very good attached restaurant. The main issue with this hotel is the air conditioning. It simply does not work well. We had multiplied rooms and everyone complained about the lack of good AC.

Fantastic team! My boyfriend and I had planned a trip to see my family for Christmas, that had to be cancelled last minute because of Covid cases in my family. The 1 night we were supposed to stay at the NH San Sebastian therefore had to be cancelled, however the team at the hotel was very easy to reach and communicate with, and was kind enough to facilitate the cancelation. We are very grateful and will definitely opt for the NH anytime we will be back in San Sebastian.

Food was great and reasonably priced for fine dining. There wasn't a lot of choice though. tables were very well spaced out and Covid hygiene well respected unlike other places in San Sebastian. Note the restaurant is not dog friendly but the bar area is. Staff are likely happy to accommodate (it wasn't too busy despite being peak August season)

Excellent hotel. Rooms and service were great. Restaurant was very good as well. I would highly recommend staying here and eating here.

Beware this hotel doesn’t have air conditioning so although it’s listed as a 4 star in winter they can’t run a/c only heat so the rooms are boiling hot and you can’t cool them. Only option option open the window onto a busy street with noisy traffic. A nice hotel just one thing they don’t advise guests of. I had a discussion with the manager but he was dismissive of this and said it was up to me to write a review. So here it is!
