For the most part the food was very good. Our asparagus salad was an unusual combination of flavors that didn't work for us, but the ingredients were great. My duck entree was outstanding. The baramundi special was a bit too fishy. The chicken dish arrived mixed with chicken sausage which was not described on the menu or by the waiter. My wife doesn't like sausage of any kind, and was disappointed. We didn't want to wait for a new entree, so she just ate a part of her meal. Our waiter was apologetic, but the manager made no apologies and no adjustment to our dinner. This could have been handled better by the management.

Lovely place, great outdoor seating. Everyone who works there is as nice as can be. Food was really great. Orzo Mac and cheese was creamy and delicious. Entrees exceptional. And dessert devine.

We sat outside and had a fabulous dinner! It began with a cocktail, beef cheeks (Barbacoa), followed by dinner with wine from France and a shared dessert. Just perfect! We also purchased two spatulas that have the restaurant name on them.

I expected a fantastic meal and was not disappointed in the least. Quaint home atmosphere. Worth a visit or two to try more on the menu.

Worst dining experience we’ve had in our ten years of living here. Pork belly appetizer arrived cold. We notified our server. (Our server was great, by the way, this review isn't about him) Twenty minutes later our appetizer arrives. This time like warm/room temp, just enough to give it the ick factor. After an hour went by after receiving our appetizers we again asked our nice server where our meals where? He assured us they would be out soon. From there on, the rude owner took over. She confronted us before our meal arrived. Very rude. We where ready to leave. Then she brought out our entrees, , not our nice server. We asked our server for boxes. Lesson learned, there are much better, much more fairly priced, non-touristy places to eat in town.

Oh. My. Goodness. This was an experience. My Girlfriend and I felt immediate joy. The food was spectacular. And the service was even better. August was courteous and kind. Each dish was special and beyond delicious.

It was our first time here, we sat inside the annex with a view of the patio! We started with an appetizer, the bread basket and a drink! Cheers to the cooks, the food is plated beautifully and the tastes are phenomenal! We ended with dessert which came with a personalized touch! Many thanks to our outstanding waiter August, we will be back!

Such impressive artistic presentation. The wine was deliciously paired. Try and schedule a tour prior to dinner service. The chef’s methods are fascinating and kitchen was immaculate. Their conservation of every item including leftover water from tables makes on oroud to choose this wonderful restaurant. Chef Martin and his wife are truly inspirational.

My second time at R M. The menu is small however there were two specials. I had the pork tenderloin special with a side of the charred brussel sprouts. The pork was a bad cut of meat. Very fatty. Tasted great but not a great piece of meat. The sprouts were fantastic. The service was excellent and the decor is very elegant. Overall, worth another visit but I hope the chef picks a better cut of meat the next time.

In a town where James Beard is no stranger, the chef at this restaurant deserves their committee's full attention. Whether you are a critical diner or someone who can simply yet fully appreciate this nuanced dining experience without pretense, enjoy a meal here for a truly exceptional evening.

If we could give this restaurant 10 stars, we absolutely would. The food was absolutely phenomenal. My husband and I are foodies so we always tend to over order just to be able to try everything. We were blown away by everything we tried. On top of the food being phenomenal, our waiter, August, was just an added bonus to the entire experience: expertly knowledgeable of the entire menu from top to bottom. My husband and I are here celebrating our 5 year anniversary, and not only did he recommend excellent menu items for us, but he went out of his way to write us a list of amazing experiences to visit while we are here in Santa Fe! We will be back! If you are lucky enough to get August as your waiter, your experience will be absolutely excellent.

Great food. Friendly service. I definitely recommend coming here. The salmon & airline chicken were cooked perfectly- flavors were powerful yet balanced. I’ll definitely be back to this restaurant.

Upper scale restaurant with exquisite tasting food. Portions are not too big, while prices are on the bigger side, as expected from these type of restaurants. The inside decor is simple, modern and elegant. It was a wonderful experience having dinner there. The service was very good and, once more, the dishes were simply delicious!

Just had an amazing dinner with my wife while visiting Santa Fe. Nice quiet restaurant, flavorful sea food selections, and loved the artwork. Knowledgable and friendly staff. If you get there at beginning of dinner service, finding parking is easy. Make reservations if you can. Would recommend the Lana Rioja (2010) 🍷 Pro Tip: If Chef Martin is cooking, be sure to ask/order the Chefs Special 😋

Very tasty and innovative food that lives up to the price. Presentation is photo worthy.

Beef cheeks appetizer was unbelievably terrific. Beef tenderloin was superb. The duck, however, was a large breast that was difficult to cut - should have been presented as sliced and crispy. Patio atmosphere is delightful.

The food was amazing. Strongly recommend the bacon & eggs appetizer and the Truffled Orzo Mac & Cheese. Chocolate Hazelnut dessert was next level. Can't wait to return to try things we didn't this time.

Crab cake appetizer was delicious and the presentation was gorgeous. Best Scottish salmon I've ever had. Friendly and professional service. Only complaint was that the portions weren't larger. Although I figure that's what you get with a well- crafted artisan meal.

Quite simply the finest restaurant in New Mexico. Jennifer and Martin are wonderful in their roles as host and chef. Chef Martin is a marvel with sauces, menu selections and preparation. The service was superb as was the outside seating area. I particularly enjoyed the wine list and its perfect options.

Delicious meal, excellent service. I have a dairy allergy and the chef basically made me a personal dish based on what I ordered.

Delicious food, lovely ambience, but barely passable service. We enjoyed everything we ate, especially the Maple Leaf Farms Duck Breast. The assorted homemade breads were fine, but nothing special at all, so for $3 each felt a bit cheap. Given how much our meal was, I'd expect bread to be included. And the butter was basically frozen. Cocktails were also fine. I was excited that all the ingredients were local, including the alcohols, but my drink was a bit unbalanced. The service was the weakest point. They didn't serve us water until after asking three times. They also insisted we order everything at once, even though we were still undecided on entrees but hungry and wanted to get the appetizers going. They made it seem like they'd orchestra some special order to the food, but all the apps came out together, and then all the mains, so not clear why they needed the full order to start the appetizers.

Had the yellow tail special of the day, oysters, and pork belly. Waitress was very slow to greet, but the owner stepped in to fill in the gap. She made it feel welcoming and ensured things continued to flow. The oysters were delicious with complex flavors and all the textures worked well together. The sauce complimented the entire dish. The pork belly was somewhat bland, but the red sauce was great and complemented the pork. Will definitely return to try other menu items.

Jennifer and Brooke were incredibly nice and made a special occasion truly meaningful. The flavors in each dish were exquisite and fresh. If our satisfied palates are any indication, Restaurant Martin finally the merit and recognition from the James Beard Foundation.
