Absolutely the best!! We were so pleased with the prices and the quality! The Chimi's were so light and crispy and packed full of flavor along with the green chili chicken enchiladas! Full of green chili taste without killing your taste buds with crazy heat. Absolutely wonderful food!!

An absolute must. Very casual atmosphere, hole in the wall mexican restaurant with a new and interesting twist on Mexican classics. The fish tacos and lamb tacos were out of this world. I definitely recommend the salsa and chips. Their housemade green salsa is a deliciously unique experience. Their menu has something for everyone. The margaritas were some of the best I've had. Great service. Wonderful staff. Beautiful decor.

This was a really great surprise! We stopped in here randomly to get takeout and left super impressed. The food tasted fresh, especially the veggies, and was perfectly portioned. And it wasn't drenched in cheese (like some Mexican places like to do) so all the ingredients could shine on their own. We ate at a different spot a few nights later and wished we had just gone back to Mucho Gusto. Would definitely order there again.

My experience is identical to those eloquently described by previous users, therefore I shall refrain from the illustrious elaboration executed by such individuals. I was wary of the establishment from the moment I noticed the sign advertising it pointing to an alley whose somewhat dilapidated state contrasted from the rest of this beautiful city. The window close to the entrance haughtily displayed faded degraded trip advisor awards from the bygone year of 2010, with the newest from 17. The interior exemplified my vexatious inclinations. It was dreadfully cramped and appeared in the same manner as a stereotypical decrepit hotel like those seen in cartoons. Advancing for the purpose of coherence, we sat down and viewed the wonderfully ansachronous ceiling dated circa 1995. The soda I received lacked carbonation (flat) and the service, while not remarkable in this fashion, was slow. The food lacked "gusto," taste really and the prices were abysmal. I ordered chicken quesadilla and received the fajita whose lack of approiate meat portions was conspicuos. It came with flour tortillas which are never served at any Hispanic establishments I've attended in Arizona. Even the Arizonian El Rancho store chain serves corn at their fantastic deli! The best summary I can create is the irony of a quote I overheard from a patron, " it's a hidden gem." Yes maybe it was purposely hidden, if you know what I mean.

We stopped by for lunch. I really enjoyed looking at their wall art and the large molcajete. The restaurant is following CDC guidelines. 👍🏽 The staff was super friendly and accommodating. I ordered their seafood tacos which had shrimp and fish served over corn tortillas. They’re served with beans, rice, and a vegetable medley. Veggies looked fresh. I also enjoyed the flan de almendra for dessert. It was simple (as I believe it should be) and delicious. The other picture below is of the chicken enchiladas with Suiza sauce.

My order: -Chips and Salsa (green and red) -Pork Tacos -Chicken Tacos Very chill atmosphere. Wonderful service. It was nice and cool in the building. The red and green salsa was great. The chicken tacos were very tasty. The only thing lacking was that the pork was dry. I had to doctor it up a whole bunch and it was still dry. Something must have been off in that batch. Gotta season it a bit more.

This spot was out of the chaos of the square. The queso fundido was very cheesy and comes with hot tortillas instead of chips. Very friendly service and a very casual vibe.

A very quaint no frills great restaurant. Not very busy, so you can carry on a conversation with ease. Very prompt and friendly staff. Food was great and just the right portions. The green salsa had a taste of line and was refreshing. The pork is very tender and tasty. A great restaurant for a quiet lunch.

Although my husband and I have coming to SF at least once a year for several years, we only recently discovered this hidden gem! Had dinner for the 2nd time last night and it was just as delicious as the first time. Food was delicious (I had the seafood taco special and my husband had beef carnitas - yum!) and the server was so friendly and welcoming. Cozy, relaxed environment. We will make a point of visiting again the next time we're in town!

Had one of the daily specials for dinner. Grilled shrimp with ancho chiles, garlic and tortilla strips. It was excellent! As was the chocolate tort I had for dessert. Service was great too!

We ate dinner here because everything else seemed to be too crowded. They charged for chips and salsa which was the first bad sign. The chips were over fried or something so they were so hard they were almost difficult to eat. The meat in the steak tacos was overdone and burnt in places and there was nothing else in the steak tacos. Overall it seemed a bit overpriced and underwhelming

Nice place but horribly difficult to find. Also, they close at 8pm. So plan accordingly. Food was really good and the service was very good. (They don’t have margaritas so that was a major disappointment.) Parking, once you find the place, is ample. Decor is very relaxed.

We had a wonderful dinner with friends at Mucho Gusto this evening. Roberta, the server, took great care of us. I had their famous "The Bomb", and it was delicious. As were the wine Margaritas Roberta made for me. Thank you for a great night.

Old "Santa Fe". It's simple delicious. Friendly waitstaff of one. They can make things on the menu vegan/dairy-free. Much appreciated.
