Beautiful, clean, comfortable and very accommodating. Juan was a delightful host with much knowledge of the area. We stayed in the one bedroom, hot water and cold AC.

Excellent experience. Quite personal, very kind, we felt at home. The room was amazing with a view to the cathedral. the mattress and pillows were so comfortable. They let us check in a bit earlier than agreed as the room was ready (which is quite uncommon nowadays). Location, perfect, will come back

Absolutely fantastic. The staff were so sweet and helpful, speaking English when we expected none, and the cute little pool upon entry was perfect for cooling down in the Santa Marta heat. That was the first thing I did, flung it all off and douced myself in its cool waters. One of the ladies immediately brought me two big towels. Of course the room itself had air conditioning, and we were in the front room next to the street. We were concerned the noise would be bothersome, but they've got this soundproof fancy glass that keeps all the sound out. How good! The bed was the most comfortable we've found in most all Colombia so far, the shower was beautifully made with natural stones embedded in the ground (very anti-slip) and the softly raining down water was even heated. Woah. Also, this is just me, but they had the crispiest towels. So dry and absorbent that they could even be deemed rough, in the best way possible. Though we only stayed one night, it was such a needed bit of luxury just to stay in the room after several days of Palomino hostels. Oh, and breakfast was lovely as well :) Thanks!

My mom and I stayed at Casa Verde back in September, but I forgot to make time to write my review after our beautiful stay. We keep bringing up our stay every so often because it was one of the nicest we have experienced on all our travels together. It was like staying with Family. There are beautiful plants everywhere. The breakfast is delicious and made when you wake up especially for you. The owner Juan and the ladies that attend are so warm and inviting. This place is a quiet place to relax and sleep. It was a safe and comfortable respite from the wild parties down the street near the restaurants and bars. We can’t wait to visit again!!!

Great place. Rooms are clean with comfy beds, AC, and private baths with hot water. Lobby/courtyard area are absolutely gorgeous. Short walk to beach and plenty of night life and great food. Only caveat, Santa Marta has fewer English speakers than I encountered anywhere else in Latin America, or Spain, for that matter. Restaurant menus are in Spanish only.

A lovely, friendly and relaxing place. A calm oasis close to the centre of town. Lovely breakfast and very helpful. My only slight comment was they got the bill wrong but immediately corrected it once it was pointed out. I would recommend the hotel highly

Beautiful hotel with great service, located 1 min from the heart of Santa Marta.

We booked via Booking.The hotel confirmed us the price booking announced, but just 2h before check in, they cancelled the reservation saying they made a mistake in the price and asked booking to charge us more. Even though they did confirm to us the price. Eventually they tripled the price so we had to look for another accomodation last minute. Be aware of what you see on Booking and of confirmations received from this hotel : they come back on their word.

The best hotel we stayed in in Colombia! Super cute place, comfortable bed, super quite even for being in the center! Breakfast was really good and the people are beyond helpful !

Insanely friendly staff, and super helpful as well. In the heart of santa marta where you want to be. The hotel is very charming and quiet. Rooms are spacious and clean.

Not a good experience here. I found a deal online for $42 but decided to visit the hotel directly instead. I was told that room was no longer available and the last vacant room happened to be the most expensive. In a crunch, I booked and checked my bags. When I came back, I had to drag my bags up a precarious set of stairs into my room which was large enough but very vanilla. The bathroom did not have any soap or toiletries and the shower was not hot. As far as bedding, the mattress was plush but the sheets were stained and very thin. The location is decent but you should probably avoid walking in that area at night.

I would give our stay at Casa Verde 10 stars if I could. We arrived at 10AM, and they got the room ready for us right away and let us check in early after a long day of travel. They also served us breakfast before the formal time we were leaving early for Tayrona Park. The room was clean, spacious, the bed was very comfortable, and there was Air Conditioning. The staff were very friendly. We would recommend this hotel to everyone

If you are looking for a place to stay in Santa Marta with an authentic and relaxed place, I highly recommend it. Despite the fact that you are located in a place surrounded by bars and restaurants, I have never heard any noise it was extremely calm. But most importantly the staff. They like their job and they make you feel it!
