Oh, honey, brace yourself for a rollercoaster of horrors at this so-called 'hostel': 1. First up, a welcome whiff of sewage on the streets - the perfect amuse-bouche to your stay. 2. Step inside, and the aroma shifts to eau de damp mold. Chic, right? 3. Surprise! That room rate you booked? It's a cash-only deal, sweetie. Card users pay a fabulous 10% extra. 4. Off you trot to the supermarket ATM, only to discover you can't withdraw more than a measly 100k. How quaint. 5. The bathroom? Let's just say it's a Pinterest board of 'how not to do hygiene'. 6. The bedroom? A masterclass in '50 shades of ew'. 7. Nighttime lullabies courtesy of motorbikes straining up steep hills. Who needs sleep, anyway? 8. And for the grand finale, enjoy a lungful of that trendy black mold. It's practically a spa treatment! In conclusion, this place must be a passion project for someone who revels in tourist torture. Stay clear if you value your sanity! I have slept in the slums of Cambodia and this place is a million times worse.

I’ve been backpacking for four months now and this is by far the lowest of my hostel experience. I’m giving this property a one star definitely for the staff, the facility, and overall the vibe. The staff were absolutely the rudest people I’ve ever had this whole trip, I asked for recommendation and they would just give a blank stare. They make you feel dumb for even asking a question, and then they didn’t even realize that I didn’t pay for the hostel and I told them that the next morning. Super unorganized and unprofessional. I was a few minutes late for the checkout and the young middle eastern girl literally said when are you going to leave outside of the room. The people really make an experience for me and they are literally the worst. The facility looked like a jail cell inside, the bathroom roof looked like a shack. Smelt super bad in the bathroom. I rented a private room one night and it was the worst idea because it was $40 and trust me you can get something just as good so many other places. Bed was super uncomfortable and the sheets felt wet when I got there. I really wouldn’t wish anyone to stay here. Also so much for a ‘party hostel’ the vibe was super bad and not social at all. The social room was next to the check in and the staff had a vibe so there’s no way you would go in that room to socialize lol. 0/10 would recommend. Also to the staff, you guys are horrible. If you aren't happy with your job at a hostel, then get a new one and don't ruin other travelers experience and vibe in a new city. Seriously a joke! I don't write many reviews for places but i had to write one for this place.

AVOID this place. It is absolutely disgusting. Worst hostel I've ever been to. I got an eye infection from the dirty bed sheets and pillows. The location surrounding it smells like sewerage constantly and the bathroom smells even worse. Location isn't even that convenient. I really doubt they even bother to wash blankets and bed sheets. The ceiling has mould and you have to rent a towel off you want to shower. Absolutely disgusting place.

***DO NOT BOOK THIS HOSTEL*** they cancelled my reservation with zero warning the morning of my check in. They frequently double book the rooms then end up cancelling people’s reservations. They did not refund my deposit and there is no way to get in touch with them. Worst hostel experience of my life.

This place is not as advertised. It looks nothing like the images showed. Staff was rude upon arrival. When we got to our room it was not even ready and has no locks on the door. One of the girls, who I presumes works here, just walked right in without knocking to then lecture us that we didn’t have all our shoes off at the door. This of course we did since they had a sign requesting it. Plus it is customary in South Korea. 1 Bathroom for more than 16 individuals as well was not noted. We did not have a problem with leaving so we requested a refund and were denied same day.

Red flag - without prior warning, the hostel tried to take a deposit from my bank account. This bounced as I was not expecting this or notified. I messaged the hostel and said pls don't cancel my booking - rude response back, update your card then and make payment so abrupt. This is not a social place and has a very cold feel from staff. They always give you a blank look when you ask a question. I sat in the reception a few times by myself and not one of the 5 workers around bothered to even socialise with me, I was ignored literally. I put my name down for the Friday BBQ to be told bluntly "it's cancelled". It is such a bad social place. The Asian man was absolutely useless - I asked him how much is a beer and he couldn't even be arsed speaking, sticking up 4 fingers. I returned the glass upon leaving and I said thank you. He looked at me like an alien and didn't even respond. He couldn't answer someone's simple question about the main DMZ tour. He was coughing non stop at reception not even covering his mouth. The place makes no effort to make solo people comfortable. I told one staff member the toilet was flooded and I didn't get back an apology or appreciation for informing the reception. I just got an annoyed look like I was to blame!

I’m all for cheap hostels but this one is in a different category. Front desk staff was weird and uninformed. Asked us how much we should pay because she didn’t know, checked out email to see on our phone. Tried to get locker where deposit is 10000 yen and they said they don’t work until the afternoon so to get the deposit back you have to return it before 11 pm… which negates the purpose. No free lockers, no lockers in the room. Shut the heat off around 2 am so it was FREEZING for a few hours and wouldn’t turn back on til the morning. Bathrooms have a whole family of flies. Beds are rocks and blankets and pillows too small for the weather. Only room that locks is one girls only dorm nothing else. Choose any other hostel. This is my 63rd hostel I’ve stayed in amongst by 30 country travels which includes Haiti and this one was the worst

I booked this place for about a week, but left after 2 days. It's the first hostel I've turned up to and felt like leaving before even checking in (and I've stayed at a lot of hostels before). The place is very dirty. I understand it's a party hostel, but that doesn't provide an excuse for the level of mess (I've stayed in some of the most infamous party hostels in Europe and Asia and even they weren't this dirty). The shared toilet didn't flush at the time and had a lot of green mouldy poo. Aircon didn't work and there was no place to even put out rubbish. Mess everywhere, no level of cleaning whatsoever, and staff weren't very helpful. The location is great. I can imagine it would have been great a few years ago.

I’ve never written a review for a Hostel before but i feel extremely compelled to write one for this place. First of all, i am so confused as to why the reviews for this place are so good. Once we had arrived and checked in, we were shown to our room (Room 7) our beds were fold out Camp beds that were extremely narrow. The bedsheets felt dirty, the pillow smelt so bad and the duvet cover was covered in stains. One the first night we had a really bad experience with one of the other guests throwing up in the bed and all over themselves. This happened around 7am. This proceeded to smell out the whole room and the guest would not wake up. Staff at this hotel do not start work till 11am so there was no one to be seen untill then. I sat in the common room for 4 hours waiting for a member of staff to arrive so that they would be able to deal with this. I asked for a refund as i did no longer feel comfortable staying in this hostel, due to what had just happened and just the general standard of cleanliness. They said No. I then asked if i could be moved to a female only dorm. After many back and forth conversations, it was agreed that i could be moved but i would have to pay an additonal fee as for some reason the female dorm is more expensive. Which seems slightly unreasonable? Overall the Hostel is extremely dirty, the bathrooms are mouldy, the floor is disgusting and there is constantly a bad odour wherever you walk. One of the Bathrooms constantly smelt so bad like drains that i couldn’t even step foot in there without gagging. Overall, the ONLY positive about this hostel is the location, you are close to the station and the centre of Hongdae with many lovely resteraunts and shops. The Hostel also offers a family BBQ every friday. It’s 35K which is very pricey for the amount of food you get. so i wouldn’t recommend doing this either. I would not stay here unless you literally have no other choice. I can imagine many many years ago this place was somewhat decent. But i wouldn’t recommend staying here to ANYONE.

I have no clue why this place has so many positive reviews. The rooms were absolutely filthy and toilet paper was no where to be seen. Don’t even bother asking the staff who are absolutely useless and rude. And if you’re expecting a pub crawl or free soju on Friday as advertised you should lower your expectations immediately because neither exist. Would rather sleep on the street than spend another night in this abomination.

you get what you pay for. Lots of mosquitos my first night. Booked the 4 bed room on hostelworld then they didnt have it free, so they placed me in the 6 bed dorm. My top bunk didnt have an outlet nearby to charge my phone easily. I ended up staying in airbnbs the rest of my trip to get better sleep. Good location located near Hongdae street and a 24/7 convenience store.

Very disappointed. I am not one to write reviews but I must to save others the strife of this joint. If I could leave a negative rating I would. I quite literally could not be paid to stay at the “party” hostel again. Rude managers, you ask for help and they get the other travellers to assist. You aren’t allowed to drink on the balcony unless you pay these people double the price of normal beers/drinks and sit in a den beneath the hostel. Don’t expect any pub crawls or free soju as advertised, as the managers cannot be bothered. You barely see the managers, there is no assistance. It is quite literally the biggest joke calling this a party hostel haha. Now to the rooms and bathrooms, it is the dirtiest place I’ve been to in my travels, one roll of toilet paper is provided each morning with about 20guests. You do the maths on that one. Hair all over the floor, the showers have no water pressure. Some of the top bunk beds have no side protection, easily allowing yourself to drop 2 metres onto the floor whilst you sleep. I went outside to find the first cleaner I’ve seen in days cleaning the air vents with baby wipes. The beds are itchy and the pillows stink. The walls are dirty, needing a paint job that most likely hasn’t happened in 10years plus. The location is quite horrible, 15minute walk to the nearest food shop. Only thing they was decent was the other travellers, very good times in other pubs with them. Maybe this place was decent back in the day but in the current state it’s in, my friends and I literally wanted to leave as soon as we got there and get a hotel in the airport. Literally could not stay in this place during the day, finding anything to do around Seoul so we didn’t have to return till 10pm to sleep. If you desperately need a bed for the night you could cop this place but do NOT stay longer. As I’ve mentioned, I don’t normally write reviews but I must to save other people from this defiantly not a party hostel. - Darcy Fredericks (Australia)

Stayed at the Time Travelers Party Hostel for 2 weeks and I had an amazing time!! The hostel fills up on the weekends with (mostly) solo travelers in their 20's and 30's--so it is super easy to meet new people. There was always someone who was happy to go on a day trip, out for food, or to bar/club at night. The hostel hosts pub crawls and K bbq on the weekends, which are super fun and pretty affordable. Sam, Connie and Lisa were so kind and friendly. One day when I was feeling a little under the weather, Sam offered me some of his mother's homemade kimchi! It is a no frills hostel, so it does look a litle rough around the edges. That said, there are 3 private bathrooms, 2 washing machines, lockers for rent, and a fridge with some space for storing leftovers. The location in Hongdae is awesome! Hongdae is a vibrant, hip area with a ton of shopping and food options. The hostel is located a short walk away from the subway station. I would recommend this hostel to anyone looking for a place to stay in Seoul. Especially if you are looking to meet a ton of friendly and super interesting people. I've made friends for life during my time here. If you are looking for a traditional super clean hotel--this place is not for you, but if you are looking for an affordable place to stay with the basics, where you will find amazing people, this is the place for you.

My autistic Japanese friend stayed here. Upon his arrival he was told to wait rudely. After checking in and napping, he woke up with rashes from bed bugs. Only to be confronted 5 minutes later by british snakes and the french manager for something so stupid. Cops were called for no reason. Avoid this place unless you are a dirty unkempt degenerate backpacker who is looking to get a tattoo sleeve of bed bug rashes.

Half the sockets in the rooms do not work, and the service was very poor and unfriendly. Definitely not clean during my time. The bathroom floors were flooded with toilet water, and the toilets were clogged up. The place is also quite insecure. There is only a code lock on the front door. The place smelt like a sewage, and there is electrical wiring exposed.

I had a blast here. The staff (namely, Ann and Louise) were super friendly, always up for a good chat but at the same time, super hospitable. The lounge area is perfect to meet other guests and to unwind after walking around Seoul with foosball, billiards and now, darts! A lot of beers and good times were had there. I can't say a single bad thing about this place, will definitely come back when I'm next back in the city.

I loved my stay here - great location (2 minutes from subway station) in one of the most vibrant districts in Seoul. Hostel has a great atmosphere and staff are very friendly and sociable and really know how to look after their guests. The hostel itself looks amazing and is very uniquely decorated with lots of paintings and other artwork. Thanks for everything guys - I can't wait to return. Hope to see you soon!

Staying here was simply awesome. It was fully booked almost the whole time I was there and rightfully so!! There's always a party going on in the common area and awesome people to meet from everywhere. We even had people from other hostels come hang out there just to enjoy the awesome atmosphere and the group dinners organized by Dj the owner =).The staff are almost all travellers too and they're extremely friendly and helpful. I wouldn't hesitate a sec to recommend this place. and I'll definitely go back to be part of it all again

THIS PLACE WAS AMAZING! Clean, safe, good beds, a bunch of solo travelers from all over the world. The price is unbelievable for the value. Great location, right near the university station and a bunch of bars and clubs. The staff made this place for sure. They will give you a beer when you show up, super nice, and go out with you during the nights. The owner DJ is an absolute JEDI! Took us out for Korean bbq, will beat you at pool, and drink you under the table all in one night. I traveled all over the world and this place was one of the coolest hostels I've been too.... Just go

This place is disgusting! Right when you enter the door of the hostel is smell like sewer! The shared restroom is disgusting, there was a night when someone puked all over the toilet and it took them 2 days!! Before someone clean it! Also the receptionist is rude and unfriendly! She literally have attitude every time you asked for something! The only good thing about this hostel is the location!

Fast, swift service - cordial and very polite staff, especially considering I have no Korean skills. Unfortunately, they couldn’t fix my pc, as it is an European model and they didn’t have the parts. I wasn’t charged for the diagnosis.

Take the party in the name literally ;) Really friendly staff and nice common area with bar. Hostel like rooms with army beds. Great location. 3.5 stars if it was possible.

This place doesn't deserve the slack it gets. For the price, I'm not sure what more you expect. Anything that I was uncomfortable with I was easily able to improve with a simple and very inexpensive trip to the nearby Diaso (inexpensive home goods/department store). They host lunches and dinners for their guests and there is beer and alcohol available for purchase in the common area. If you're traveling on a budget and have realistic expectations then this is the place for you. Within walking distance to transportation, food, shops, and entertainment.

Good place to stay if you're looking to party in Hongdae! Let's be honest, if you're booking a hostel with "party" in the name, you probably already know exactly what you're getting yourself into. Not the most modern or clean hostel, but you're really there for the crowd, which delivered every night I was there. Room type: Bunk bed in mixed dorm Lockers • Size: About the size of an airline carry on, but taller (but my backpack is overstuffed, and couldn't fit in width-wise) Bathrooms (on the bottom floor where I was staying; Not sure about the upper floor(s) • Number: 2 (for 3 rooms) • Combined toilet/shower: Y • Hair Dryers: Y • Bathroom shampoo/conditioner/body wash: N Common Area: The bar area downstairs. Only bar stools, no couches. Amenities • Included towels: N • Light in bunk: N • Outlet in bunk: Y • Bunk curtains: N • Included breakfast: N Misc • Set up bedding yourself: N • Break down bedding yourself: N • Elevator: N • Location: Good - close to main strip of Hongdae Top opportunities for improvement: Have a late night check of the bathrooms (clean, replenish toilet paper)

No complaints, fairly basic hostel. Very quiet during the week in the winter time, maybe the weekend will be livelier. Free washing machines are a nice perk. Staff is friendly and good location for going out hongdae. Nearby metro station is on the direct line to the airport and well connected to other lines in the city

Overall a very bare bones hostel. The bedding was itchy and smelly. Generally the staff were not around to assist, especially in the morning. We were not given our towels at check in and in the morning I could not find the staff to get the towels. Also had to make do without toilet paper.

/!\ SCAMMERS /!\ Worst experience possible : after I've done my booking online they told me that due to a problem with the website some rooms were overbooked so they ask me to cancel my reservation for free. So I applied for the free fee cancellation but the request was denied by the hostel without any reasons given and they didn't even answer to my mails since First time I ever see that attitude coming from people running an hostel, it seems that they're just a bunch of thiefs and liars. So be aware that when booking with this hostel there is a risk that you might have to pay but still don't get a place where to sleep.

Amazing hostel. Super friendly staff. Great atmosphere. Owner takes everyone to a Korean bbq every Friday night, must do! Standard rooms for a hostel, fairly clean and showers were ok. Great party hostel and awesome way to meet other people.

The hostel has really cool 3D art, makes you feel like you stepped into another time and place. The staff is very friendly and dj makes very yummy food! The hostel also organizes group outings like Korean BBQ and visits to the pub (Thursday Party in Hongdae). You feel really welcome and the guests happen to be really friendly too :D

Great hostel that lives up to it's name. The staff was incredibly helpful, especially the manager Coni. It is very bare bones concerning amenities, but it makes up for this by providing a great space to make friends in Seoul. Will definitely visit again!

We spent almost a week here at the end of a 3 week trip. This was a mistake and it really detracted from our experience of Seoul. Paid in full before assessing the situation 🤢 There was vomit in the toilet for 24 hours. The room and bed was depressing. The common space has the charm and ambiance of a bunker. And not a cozy one. Cement walls with metal barstools provide an environment that make any “party hostel” claim to be super false. buy a rug and a couch, maybe even a coffee table so the vibe can be South Korean prison instead of North… don’t stay here lol
