Wonderful Sushi. All you can eat is worth the cost for about $30. Large Selection of rolls. Friendly Staff. Cozy Atmosphere

Very good food. In my experience, the servers will ask before hand if you've used their all you can eat menu before so it definitely will help clear up any confusion for new customers. Be warned that you can't take home left overs on the all you can eat, and you will have to pay a fee for any sushi left on your plate. They do have that listed on their all you can eat menu as well.

Easily the best sushi in Kansas City. Not only is it all you can eat, but there are over 50 different sushi to choose from; it's almost impossible not to find something you like. The wait staff is also extremely courteous and professional. Can't wait to try again.

First time and loved it. The best AYCE experience anywhere although it would be nice if it wasn't just rolls and there was nigiri too

We had a great experience trying new rolls with the all you can eat sushi. Our favorite of the night was the ocean Star ⭐️ not only was it beautiful but it tasted amazing 🤩 the rainbow 🌈 rolls were also good 😊

Was really excited to come here since it's the only place we heard does all you can eat. The establishment is kept clean but the food wasn't great. Good temperatures tasted like it had sat out a while. The only rolls that were decent that we had was the dinosaur roll and salmon skin. Unagi was good. A nice thick cut. Our waiter was super nice but I don't see us coming back here.

The all-you-can-eat special is a bit pricey given that the quality was only okay - most of the rolls tasted exactly the same. I was initially interested in the lunch special, but over half of the available rolls have cream cheese. I can understand a few rolls here or there, but since when is this a core component of sushi? It appears that this is more or less a whitewashed version of sushi, like much of the ethnic food available in the Kansas City area.

Not our first time here, but always a great place to go. All you can eat sushi but NOT buffet style - sushi made to order. Excellent choices (they even have a dessert roll!) and variety that even more picky eaters will like. If sushi isn't you thing, they also offer a Chinese fare menu for ordering as well. If you do opt for the all you can eat option, make sure you can eat what you order!

Good food. Service was nice. Has all you can eat sushi but we just ordered off the menu. Some music inside would be a nice addition. I'd eat there again. Just FYI for mangt. Menu font is hard to read with dimmed lights.

Pretty bland place as far as decor. Our waiter did his best friendly and personable. The food took a ridiculous amount of time. From the time we walked in and sat down til we started eating was an hour. This is the only all you can eat sushi place in the area. I think I would have been happier going to the store and getting a couple of trays, it probably would have been cheaper too

My new favorite Sushi resturant. The Tiger roll is my favorite but everything was incredible. Best value with the all you can eat.

Overall 8.8/10 I think I've found my favorite local sushi place here in Overland Park. Fresh sushi hand crafted beautifully and refreshing taste. Extremely friendly staff that makes you feel welcome and small but awesome atmosphere. This place checks all my boxes for a great sushi dine in restaurant and I surely will be back. There is also a small play area right next door for kids to tackle.

Amazing sushi, hot, fresh, crispy, and delicious. I went with the all you can eat it buffet and it is literally the best bang for your buck. I always go here whenever I want to eat sushi. Our waiter Chuck was amazing. I will ALWAYS recommend this place 10 out of 10 times. I wish they would expand their base of operations. It's been the same since 10 years ago. Nonetheless it is superb sushi and also the pricing is what makes customers keep coming back for more.

So, all I can say is that this place is amazing. So many different rolls to choose from and the prices are very well worth it. I loved every one of the rolls that I ordered and I was incredibly impressed with the quality of each roll. The best sushi house I have ever been to by far.

I took my son out for his birthday. We ordered the all you can eat sushi. It was good. I think my favorite was the Wonder Woman. Just make sure you can eat all you order, or they will charge you $0.75 for every piece you do not eat. It was great, and we will go back soon.

I feel so bad for forgetting his name, I believe it was john? Goodness gracious, he was so kind and really took the time to explain how their restaurant ran due it being unlimited sushi. Since they charge $30 per person and I know my limits on how much I could eat, so I opted to just go for the regular dinner menu. I was absolutely blown away by the choices I picked. 2 Alaska rolls (simple and refreshing), spicy crunch salmon roll, mango roll, and the pink lady roll. I will have to say, my partner and my favorite rolls was the pink lady roll and mango roll. MY GOODNESS the mango roll was packed with so much flavor. The first bite was good, then as you chew it flavors literally change. It just kept getting better. I wish I ordered two of those rather than my Alaska. Then to finish everything off, the dessert roll (pink lady) was literally eating a strawberry cheesecake crepe but in sushi form. You just have to try it. Love this place. I do want to come back for their bento boxes during lunch.

I absolutely love the fact that they have all you can eat sushi! They quality is a hit and miss on the rolls but still worth what you pay for! My wife's salmon teriyaki was really picturesque and the soups tasted so delish! You get your money's worth for sure and at a reasonable price. Definitely going back!

During the week their sushi roll lunch special is a great choice. If you go when it's not during their specials time I recommend the all you can eat if you order 3+ rolls. Their hot and sour soup is amazing and chalk full of more than just the stock.

Sushi Mido is always a fantastic experience with a ton of varying sushi options. The ONLY downside to them is the inability to make reservations, as we usually go there as a larger group.

  • 4/5 Justin E. 6 months ago on Google
The sushi was good and worth the all you can eat price. I don't know if I'd go out of my way for it again though. The restaurant was nice but there were only two waiters so a lot of sitting around waiting on attention. All in all I'd recommend it if you're in the area and craving sushi.

Greatest sushi that Nieman has to offer! I am glad for the presence of authentic menu options but I also liked some of the American rolls. Miso soup was flavorful and the green tea was great too.

Nice atmosphere inside and multiple sushi chef preparing fresh sushi. Our server, Jason, did an amazing job! Very attentive and made great recommendations and had overall very pleasant demeanor. Prepare yourself for the all you can eat sushi, cause the servings were huge and they charge .75 for each uneaten piece.

Called in as a special request for my sushi rolls to be placed on a large tray. Chuck really helped me out and said, “to make it look big and pretty?” Exactly Chuck. Exactly. Food was great and presentation was perfect. Was very well done 👏🏻 thanks for outdoing yourselves. That tray never stood a chance against 5 people. Delicious.

Delicious and fresh sushi! They have lots of affordable rolls to choose from. Service was quick and the waiter was very attentive. I would really try their all you can eat sushi next time. Highly recommend this place.

Great atmosphere, friendly staff. Pricing not too bad but the food is definitely worth it. My new favorite spot for sushi ❤️

We have gone to sushi mido for years. The sushi is consistently good, but this visit was something else. The waiter had some serious problem. He gave appetizers to another table that arrived after we did. He also introduced himself to the table behind us THREE times. Then he gave our check to a couple that hadn’t even placed their order yet. They quietly handed it to us. When I saw him take the check AND our debit card back to the WRONG table, 2 minutes later, several tables said “that’s the wrong table!” The manager was watching him and could be heard by everyone, as she asked if he was on something!?! He said he would never “do that at work.” He later told us he was on “new meds” and then added he should kill himself! I was appalled! The regular waiter, who was busy with the other side of the restaurant, took over waiting tables on the side we were on. Oh, the waiter that appeared to be “on something” Also told us that he had a bottle of alcohol in his car, for when he left work. That was in the first interaction we had with him, before placing our order. Hope he’s gone next time we go in. Sushi is too good at this place to have bad reviews, like this one, about the waiter!

Price has gone up quite a bit since I was last here. All you can eat used to be $20 but now it's $30. Unfortunately I can't eat eel sauce because it makes me sick so I usually ask for anything with eel sauce to be on the side or none at all. Somehow that translated to no sauce on any of the rolls I had so they ended up very dry.

So many selections with freshness unmatched I recommend the hot and sour soup it's some of the best we've had

The food is beautifully prepared and presented. I and my youngest daughter had the midnight delight sushi and my eldest had the sweet potato sushi. It was perfection on a plate! I fully recommend this restaurant!

  • 4/5 Matthew D. 2 years ago on Google
The appetizers are very small and weren’t the best that I’ve had but they were cheap. The sushi is very good. Would return and just skip the appetizers next time.

We have been in a couple times now and keep requesting chuck to be our server hes hilarious and really makes the experience amazing. The sushi is delicious and we love the all you can eat option but I must say we go and will continue to go back because of chuck. Thanks for making us and our friends laugh and helping us enjoy an amazing meal. Also pouring skills 10/10

Great vibes, we had a great time there. I would suggest ordering small orders of sushi if you're doing all you can eat. They do charge .75 per piece not eaten & you can't take it to go. We had over 40 pieces ended up leaving 12 pieces. Will definitely go back.
