Stayed at hotel for 2d1n in Sep. Note to hotel - do not oversell and under-deliver. Cons: - Check in was delayed. Reception conveyed that rooms have not been cleaned yet hence the delay. Do not set check in time to be 1400 when you are not able to meet that timing. - Breakfast served was terrible. No options to choose from, and were served with food probably worse than airplane meals. With the additional monetary top-up we paid for the breakfast, surely we should at least have a couple of options to choose from, rather than shoving us with unappetising food. Not asking for anything fancy, but what was served just wasn't acceptable. Noticed another review mentioning the poor food quality dated a month ago. Clearly the management has no intention of addressing poor customer reviews and improving their quality. Many better hotels out there at this price point.

The hotel offers a comfortable and inviting atmosphere with attentive service. While not reaching the heights of luxury, the accommodations are well-appointed and clean. Staff members are friendly, catering to needs promptly. The amenities, though not extravagant, provide a satisfying experience. The central location adds convenience, making it easy to explore the city. Dining options are solid, offering a decent variety. Overall, a pleasant and affordable choice for those seeking a comfortable stay without the frills of a five-star establishment. Good value for money, creating a positive and memorable experience.

Terrible experience. First time attending a wedding where I was asked by the guard to leave the queue for carpark because it's full. Parking in Orchard is ridiculously expensive and now I'll have to bear the consequence of the poor logistics arrangement by the hotel (whereby I could have gotten complimentary parking). Nothing against the hotel staff who is doing his job in facilitating traffic, and I have no idea how comfortable the hotel is. But this review is purely meant to address the poor traffic management. If the hotel is not ready to host so many people, don't allow weddings

This hotel is located just at the start of Tanglin and Orchard Road- an amazingly prime location. The city is right at your fingertips! It is part of Far East Hospitality, and if you're an "Insider" then you get many benefits. There are many amenities and the rooms are comfy! Lobby is nicely old-fashioned and classy. So, all in all, I think this hotel is really good and rightfully deserves five stars.

We had booked a family room with bunk beds, which was prominently featured in numerous online reviews. We took extra care to confirm with the booking staff that this specific room was available, as we were informed that there was only one such room in the hotel. We arrived at the hotel around 2:20pm, just a little after the 2pm check-in time. Unfortunately, the check-in process was slow, and we were informed that we were given a "free" upgrade upon arrival. However, we were already aware that there was only one bunk bed family room, and we were concerned about what this "upgrade" would entail, given that the bunk bed room was the sole reason for our booking in the first place. The receptionist left us waiting at the counter for nearly 15 minutes while she went to the back office to investigate. Upon her return, she informed us that the bunk bed room was not yet available, as the previous guest had checked out late. We expressed our frustration with this situation and asked why the hotel allowed a late checkout when they knew there was a booking for the same day. At this point, the receptionist changed her story and informed us that the housekeeping staff had not yet prepared the room. We were extremely disappointed by this mismanagement and the way that the receptionist covered up the issue with lies. It's evident that this is a systemic issue within the hotel's management, and we strongly advise anyone considering a staycation here to steer clear or risk delays and disappointment.

The Orchard Rendezvous Hotel came highly recommended to us and I am so pleased we booked. Our flight landed at 5am in the morning so we went straight to the hotel and the nice man on duty arranged an early checkin at a reasonable price. Because of availability at that time of the morning the room we wanted wasn't available, however, this was rectified without any problem. The room we ended up with was as charming and as sparkling clean as the previous one but the location was better as it was on the tenth floor with lovely views overlooking the pool. It wasn't just the rooms and excellent facilities that make this hotel a good one it's also down to the staff that keep the place running. Sadly, I can't remember all of the names but a special mention to Lory and Nancy in reception and the professional and effervescent Jacqueline who was an absolute joy to be around. She made us feel important, as if we were the only ones staying in the hotel and her advice and suggestions of what to do in Singapore were extremely helpful. I wish I could name the lovely young lady who runs the grab and go cart and also the male front desk staff. All were superbly competent and courteous. A huge thank you. If ever we return to Singapore this will be our hotel of choice.

I enjoyed my 2D1N staycation here. The staffs are friendly and helpful. Room is spacious and the bed is comfortable. There’s no mineral/drinking water provided in the room, but the tap water is safe to drink. You can enjoy a complimentary breakfast at the White Marble restaurant. Food is served hot and each person can order one set from the menu. The only problem is the wifi is weak. Everything else is good.

Location on Orchard is perfect - close to many restaurants and easy to grab taxi. Hotel at time wasn’t fully booked (early Aug) but they put us on 7/F (lower level) facing back exhaust fans & Hard rock cafe. It was so noisy with people screaming/shouting even at 2 am …I wasn’t able to sleep 2 nights in row. On my last night, I called reception at 2:30 am to vent my anger. It was too late to do anything anyways. 10 mins later I received a call from Deputy duty manager (Mr S?) who kindly offered us to sleep in another room & can keep current room as it was too late to move luggage. I would like to thank ‘the guy who passed on the message to the duty manager’ and the duty manner Mr S. I managed to recoup sleep from night before and slept well. Will definitely go back as I love the location. Room is a bit old fashion but nice thing is there is a room for our luggage, rare these days in Spore.

The hotel is very well located in the district of Tanglin. There are many restaurants, bars and shops in walking distance. The hotel has a good outdoor pool, fitness studio, club and various restaurants. It’s clean and modern. Staff is very friendly and helpful.

Brought my friend here for a surprise bachelorette celebration staycay. I have to say it was one of the best customer service I have encountered. All the staff were very polite and greeted us with a smile. Special mention to Sofia for her incredible service and for going above and beyond. She upgraded our room to the Club floor and gave my friend a card, cakes and chocolates as requested. The room was nice and clean. Location was great. Quiet even though it was in orchard. We requested for late checkout which they could not provide but they still extended half an hour for us. Appreciate that. During checkout, we also had great service by a staff - didn't manage to get her name. We had a very pleasant stay and we will definitely visit again!

Good location to shop around in Orchard. Our 2 nights staycation was enjoyable, room was clean and hotel staff were polite and helpful. Room amenities were enough with all the essentials and a safe box. TV & wifi works fine too.

Amazing lobby, Top class restaurants, and top shelf bars but the rooms are dated. I don't think painting your hallways walls white in this day and age is advised. Every mark at finger print is noticeable. Very accommodating staff.

Reception staff were not helpful, condescending and dismissive. The Reception staff (different crew) on day of checkout were friendly, but too little too late. The Porters were more helpful and in particular Samy, went above and beyond to assist us. We checked in late Friday evening on a particularly hot night, to find that our mini bar was empty - not even a bottle of cold water in our room. The hotel phone was not working, so I had to go back down to reception to request cold water be brought up. The phone was not fixed for 2 days which did not matter, as calls to room service and the operator went unanswered. Our city view balcony door remained closed as the stench of cooking oil from the nearby restaurants permeated into our room. The windows and doors were not double glazed, so all street sounds could be heard from within our room, including the nearby Nightclub and constant construction noises. The icing on the cake was being charged for the room a couple of days after our departure, despite it being PRE-PAID prior to our arrival (issue sorted). The hotel is centrally located however, there are many other hotels in the same area to choose from.

The room is nice and the view we gotten is great view towards to city, however the housekeeping service is really slow, as the hotel decides to upgrade our room to a club lounge room on checked in. They did not provide an ETA on when the room is going to be ready and we had a function to attend to later that day with hairdressers and makeup artist. They had no where to start dressing us up and we end up waited for 2 hours before getting the room.

We had a terrible one night stay. Would have moved if it were longer. Noisy tour party. Starting knocking on doors at 4am. Animated late night discussions next door made worse by adjoining doors. Heard every toilet flush. If you stay ask for a room ask without an adjoining door.

Such a good experience to feel! I wondered whether my room got upgraded since 1 of them is not like my booking (thank you, lady in front office!) In general, the rooms are well prepared for your stay, from the amenities to the facilities such as ironing board & hair dryer. The rooms are so big (since I know some hotels in Singapore usually have small rooms). The greeting card is so thoughtful :) Well, the toilet has no bidet and it's quite uncomfortable. The wall is quite thin so I can hear the voice from next door. The swimming pool is great. The location is superb! The staffs are helpful & friendly. Surely gonna stay here again!

Its a beautiful hotel located at start of the Orchard street. Staff is quite helpful and breakfast (served at white marble) is awesome. Very well connected to multiple eateries, starbucks, shopping areas etc.

enjoyed spending a few days here while attending a conference. there are plenty of places to eat in the area and good public transport. most of the better orchard road shopping is 15 minute walk away, and it's about 25 minutes to the newer larger centres. I stayed in a club room and did breakfast I the lounge and in the restaurant. the lounge is really basic but quiet. ask for wifi if you're doing work there as the hotel wifi doesn't quite reach the lounge. friendly people and comfy rooms. the pool is great and there weren't that many people in it while I was there. it closes at 10pm.

"Miss you, Ash, Sophie, etc. It's been more than a month since I left Singapore, and I stayed in the hotel for almost 20 days. Believe me, I felt at home all those days when I was in the hotel. Ash, brother, you were there for me through thick and thin when my colleagues left the hotel after the first week of our stay. Initially, I thought of moving to another hotel for a change after a week, but then I left the plan considering the homely service I received from all of you. Sophie, your innocent and pleasant smile reminded me of my mother and sister. Keep doing good work, guys. God bless you all. I wish and pray I could come and stay there once more. Inshallah."

I checked into this hotel last minute, as I was staying at another hotel in Boat Quay and it was too noisy due to the nightlife and I was just needed some decent sleep. I was upgraded from my club room to a premium upon arrival, and I the staff have not disappointed. The location is great, I’ve always stayed around Bugis, or Clark Quay and I much prefer this area as there are lots of trees, coffee shops and shopping. And I like to walk, so it’s a decent walk into the tourist areas. The restaurants are just at your door, so no need to go searching for someplace to eat. I will definitely be back and will be recommending it to my family and friends.

Stayed here for a week with my parents and was very happy with the size of the rooms, amenities but mostly with all of the staff. From front desk to housekeeping (Che ming yang) and Ms Jaqueline in particular. Thanks so much for everything!

Old rooms, smell of moist, The worst breakfast we had over the last three weeks on our trip to South East Asia!! It feels like a cantine, there is no space ( despite a huge restaurant room next door), no buffet, everyday the same food, no choice of eggs and a fight to get a piece of bread!! Just horrible. Employees in this breakfast room not nice nor caring The refrigator in the children's room does not work. Towels are taken away and not replaced....

Greatly with lots of smile and courtesy from the front office team. Concierge team was very friendly and helpful with the luggage and guiding us on how to go to the rooms. Loved the breakfast options with its tasty and multi cultural options, the outdoor pool is perfect to unwind after a long day especially on a nice weather day. The location is just perfect as it is near Orchard which is full of shopping options and a lot of great food no matter what cuisine you crave for. Looking forward for my next trip to Singapore to enjoy this hotel again, would definitely recommend others to come and experience this great hotel.

Very nice hotel, superb location, close to amenities. The room we stayed in was one of the biggest rooms we have ever stayed in. Very good breakfast, there was set cooked menu and a continental choice, limited spread.

I attended my colleague's wedding lunch at the ball room of this hotel. Food (quality, taste) is average, price not sure. Service is average or so so as well. Got hotel Car parking slots but quite expensive if you dont have any waiver (e.g. Attending wedding). In general, i have no particular impression on this hotel.

Stayed there for two nights. The rooms are old and they need renovation. The corridors and also some parts of the rooms smelled of mould. Towels are taken away and not replaced.... Although on their website and on Google it says that it lasts until 10:30, at 10 o'clock they don't even look at you. Employees in this breakfast room not nice not caring!

We stayed at the Orchard Rendezvous from the 5th November to the 7th - it was truly an amazing experience. I wish we had planned to stay longer :) particularly impressed by the staff -very helpful & cooperative. My only problem was - there was no health faucet in the toilet - but there was a message asking guests not to waste the toilet paper 🧐 . I would like to specifically thank Jacquline- at the front desk - for her warmth & helpfulness. Looking forward to another visit to the Rendezvous!

We requested a quiet room with shower and we were given a room with a view of brick wall and there were builders outside the building banging away. We complained to the Service manager, she suggested I go somewhere else. We were finally given a room with shower room. The buffet breakfast is the worst I ever come across in all the international hotels I have stayed. Basic western with a vegetable noodle. The staff at the buffet and the staff at white Marble were so miserable looking. Not even a greeting. Don’t go there unless you are not bothered by the bad service and food. The hotel is old and shabby.

In spite of the rate of this hotel (A$332 for Honeymoon deluxe room) we were very disappointed here. It was almost the regular Australia motel size room with Queen size bed that mattress wasn’t even, so I kept rolling into middle, supplied plastic cups and tea cups, there wasn’t bidder nor wash faucets/washlet which you would see in other hotels/facilities in Singapore easily, yet it stated consider to save toilet papers. Not enough receptionist so that always long queue at check in/out. The worst was the breakfast that no variety of food, tasted terrible, small place so crowded all the time, and my husband had satay chicken the first night which gave him diarrhea and ruined our time in Singapore. Not recommend here, and it put me off to visit Singapore again.

Stayed in the deluxe room on level 9 with the view facing the swimming pool. 1 of our rooms was a corner room so it was bigger than normal rooms. Some of the cards to enter the room was not working and the TV channels were quite limited but overall the rooms are good. Nice hospitality. Will stay here again.

It was a awesome birthday staycation here. The room is so clean and the swimming pool is great. Once again I would like to thanks Ms. Sofia and Mr Samy for their friendly and helpful of my staycation here. They made the effort to send me my birthday cake and bathrobe to my room😊 I'm looking forward to seeing you soon in 2022.

Went for a wedding dinner here. Food was by Tung Lok so it was fantastic. Banquet hall isn't too big (even smaller considering covid restrictions) with low ceiling but it nice for a small intimate affair. Car park leaves much to be desired as the pillars cut into the lot space.

Parking is not so convenient as car park is not within the hotel itself. Checking in is easy and front desk staff are polite and courteous. Deluxe Room is decent but find the bed a little stiff. Pillows are too soft unless it is to your preference. Location is good as it is just within walking distance to the rest of Orchard Road.

I totally forgot to take photos in the room. But truth be told, the experience was okay. The rooms and service are what you would expect from Hotel Rendezvous, its good and staff were really nice and courteous. However, the exterior and surrounding was quite a turn off. The building is super old and run down, its abit like what you would expect from a 2* hotel in our neighbouring countries. I could totally understand the predicament that tourism is facing now and also I paid a really low price due to the vouchers given so I cant say that I am disappointed.

  • 4/5 Zayden T. 2 years ago on Google
Room are pretty newly renovated despite the exterior looking a little old and underwhelming. The staff were really nice and saw to as many as our requests as possible. Amenities in the room like the TV and fridge could be upgraded though..

I travel regularly for business & have tried this hotel three times because of the great location. They really could knock its out of the park (home run) with simple customer service training for the front desk. I’ve had three extremely poor check in experiences. If they were more courteous, kind and timely they could make a lot more money off me. Front desk interaction is 80% of the customer”s take away. A simple training could go a long way here. Instead I’ve left frustrated and wondering if it’s worth it. Over the next year I’ll be I’m Singapore 39 or more overnights. Imagine how short sighted they are to not go the extra mile and win over someone like me, instead they’ve been repeatedly rude and discourteous, overly focused on rules and processes, not allowing early check in and trying to haggle over stupid things. I like far East and their vision. I hope they’ll put a little effort into some simple training -treat the customer like you want them to come back.

Beautiful rooms and breakfast (A La Carte) which I like the selection. No waste.. the rooms are big and updated. Gym and swimming pool really good and location close enough to Orchard Road to do shopping! Only negative was the renovation going on which is a little noisy..

Great location, lots of restaurants and shopping within walking distance. The rooms are more than adequate, but temperature control was uneven. There are numerous restaurants within the hotel of different ethnic foods to choose from. The highlight for me was how helpful and professional the meeting support and front desk were. Conducted a week-long meeting and they anticipated and met every need. Even ones that changed at the last moment.

Lovely helpful staff, 5 stars to them. Unfortunately the actual hotel was not nice. There was horrible construction noise all day long (until at least 9pm) the pool was closed - which we were not made aware of upon booking (so disappointing!!) and also bathroom fittings were rusty and old.

We had a ladies night get-together here for 1 night. The hotel called me to ask if it was a special occasion (probably since its only 1 night) and I thought that was a lovely touch as I never got any calls like that bfr from other hotels. And then they proceeded to treat us so well with a gift and also an upgrade. We all really enjoy the time here and would def come back again! Thank you to all the staff who treated us ladies so well. Location was so close to Ion (abt 5 mins walk) and room was excellent and clean. Breakfast ok as it wasn't a buffet.

We love the hospitality of the staff. The reception is, polite and helpful in any situation. The property is well maintained and in good shape. Rooms are not too small, bathrooms especially the bath tub needs to be renovated soon. To cool down you can use the huge pool at floor 6, the hotel also provides a laundry room and a ironing room which is very convenient for travelers. You can’t beat the location at the famous orchard street, shops restaurants, public transportation just around the corner. We definitely recommend this hotel

Booked a nice spacious Family suite with full amenities provided for my family of four. There’s a nice pool and 24/7 gym accessible to hotel guests with no additional charges. There’s plenty of F&B outlets within and outside the hotel plus streets after streets of shopping malls. Favourites include Shake Shack, Hagen Daz Ice-Cream shop, plus family-friendly McDonald’s, Orchard ION & its plentiful food choices. Only wish the hotel breakfast was a full buffet which is more suitable for families with different tastes and food portions. Currently each guest is entitled to just 1 breakfast set if you opt for hotel stay with breakfast, although bread and coffee/tea/juices are unlimited. It’s good overall :)
