Single room is extremely small and has no windows or ventilation. Lack of daylight disrupted my sleep cycle. Only good for one night stay. The shower head has no holder and no bidet - extremely inconvenient. The location is good though

Quite clean. Was scared of the reviews but turns out its quite clean. However if you get a room by the windows it will be quite noisy. Bed is very soft and fluffy. Clean toilet. Air cond is working. Staff is also friendly. Near to Lavender MRT (5mins walk)

During my stay at the hotel, I felt like a prisoner. The poor room condition drives me crazy enough. And the room smelled like a wet mop. Don't be staying at this hotel. Single rooms...

Pretty old hotel with small rooms. Lack of basic amenities such as wardrobe or place to hang cloth. TV channels is virtually none but shower is adequate. The only plus point is its near to plenty of food places in Arab Street and Bugis Junction.

the staff here talk very liar and uneducated, despise foreign girls, do not know how to respect customers. except for the cleaning staff. The staff seems to be untrained, especially the receptionists are very ferocious . I advise you not to come here even once. trust me

Reading many negative comments here. But hey, this is singapore :) Pros : - fast wifi - smiley staffs - great location for shopping & culinary Cons : - dirty toilet Other than those above, i had a good sleep! πŸ˜… If I need a larger room and full service hotel, I will upgrade my personal budget and find the other hotel. As simple as that :)

The receptionist is horrible. He snapped at me when I entered the hotel. β€œHey what are you doing?” All I wanted to do was to check in.

Nice place if you are alone, with bathroom inside you will have more privacy. But the shower is not good as it seems, i mean the water flow was slow. The price was so so, not expensive and not cheap though. No breakfast here, but they serve hot water and biscuit.

I stayed there for 4 nights. The location is very close to the Sultan masque and 10 mins walking to Bugis. The rooms are very small and old fashioned comparing to other hotels with the same price. I saw a few beatles roaming around the room which was disgusting. The only nice perk for me was that table that you see in the photo that is cool if you need to study or work with your laptop.

I stayed at this property from 22-25 July 2022 at Superior Queen room, no window. To tell the truth, this hotel is too old to be a hotel in Singapore. The room is small, the lightings are too yellow or very bright. The smell from the room is a bit fishy or sweaty. The staffs are not keen to answer the questions & unfriendly. The money what they charged to me was not equal to what they served. I will never go back to stay at this property again for me or my friends on our future visits in Singapore. I booked 1 room for 3 person and the room was quite small and for the bathroom was dimly lit. There was no devider between shower and wastafel. Then they only provided a cup of mineral water for 1 night. Location is located in the middle of public transport however quite far from MRT station.

Quite great for budget stay in SG. We didn’t get any windows in our room and the exhaust fan didn’t seem to be working. Nevertheless we got great location and decent room facilities. The other thing worth mentioning is the staff, especially the one named Mona. At our last day of staying it was raining hard, we’d checked out and we can’t go to the nearest mosque to pray. I asked the staff whether I could use some space in the emergency stair to pray there, but this angelic staff suggest for us to pray in a decent space near the elevator at second floor instead, since it was cleaner. And she went through the hassle to open the access in the elevator for us going to the second floor. We finally got to pray there before continuing our trip. Thank you so much, Mona :)

Horrible experience. Was transferred to Aliwal park after hotel JJH was overbooked. It was old, dated and just poor in quality overall. The windows were mouldy and the old tv only had one channel with a poor picture quality. Was sorely disappointed that it was a huge downgrade and I only received 1 additional hour of checkout. If overbooked, please ask for a refund! Highly not recommended.

Feels quite pleasant in PICS ONLY, the actual room is just way too congested and barely enough space to move! Our room AC leaked on the second night as well. After figuring out the temp, it stopped eventually. The pillows were just too thin, requested reception staff for extra pillows - said there'd be a charge! Amazing there's a charge to fix your guests discomfort. Never even bothered to ask if they could try replacing it. Most staff are looking tired out, have a rude presence, won't even greet you and overall just lack hospitality. ***Only 1 housekeeping staff who also doubles up as a maintenance guy was very friendly to us and we always wished if he could serve us be it at reception or when requesting for room amenities over call***THANK YOU, for what you do man, you're well suited to serve in 5 star(sorry we can't seem to recall your name)*** Asking for extra tea/ coffee/water when we ran out was a pain. I'll go and take in the morning to collect, my family member returns and tries to request more for the evening - the person at counter will say, "oh someone already took it". You really think a family of 3 will be using only a handful of those refreshments for an entire day??? During check-out, my family was waiting in lobby before our flight and I made it fully drenched in sweat! My fone had died and I couldn't find transportation (mostly app based running around), was pretty much lost in the city. Reached the hotel and out of breath, went to the girl at reception to request for water - her reply seeing my state was "Sorry, we don't give to check-out guests". From the country where I am from which is renowned for hospitality, this was shocking! Except for that housekeeping/maintenance guy, most of the staff working at this property are a classic example of not even providing you water even if you collapsed after your check-out! You lack hospitality but at least have some humanity. First and last visit to this property.

I've got a confirm booking and as i arrived in Singapore this booking was cancelled, just because my credit card didn't work. So i quickly had to look for a new hotel for the same day, which wasn't exactly cheap.

nice places. one of the hotel in singapore that near with mrt station, sultan mosque and competitive rate. maybe I have one advice to improve, the reception must be more humble and patient with visitors with non english native language

Hotel with affordable price and friendly staff. WIFI in this hotel is not stable and not reliable, cannot connect to google or yahoo consistently for the whole 7 days throughout my stay. Not recommeded for people serve SHN and wish to connect to WIFI for working. staff need to reset the router frequently (machine issue) and yet staff unable to reset due to no replacement employee. Wifi coverage is damn low. lots of cockroach within the room. should not classified as clean hotel

It was horrible and disgusting. Once i enter the room, it smells so bad and the mirror is so dirty! With stains everywhere. there’s cockroaches everywhere. Was so disgusted when i was about to sleep there is a big cockroach crawling on the bed! Very disappointed.

Rooms are small, tired, old and has lingering smell. Cleanliness is poor with lots of little cockroaches in the rooms showing signs of infestation.
