Located at one end of the Railway Mall. Parking maybe a bit of problem during peak period. Service maybe not optimal. Because I was standing there waiting for the staff to approach me. But my friend just walked to the cashier to check his reservation. Therefore it seemed that every requests just need to approach the cashier. Haha... Had the option to pick your food or to order the fixed dishes on the menu. Prices were considered reasonable. It charged by weight: It would be cheap if you were to pick a lot of lighter food such as mushroom; more expensive if you were to pick heavier food like lotus roots. The food was good, maybe a bit salty. But with plain rice. It was just nice. Overall enjoyed the meal. Would be returning soon!

Very tasty and clean vegetarian restaurant hiding in railway mall, it is Chinese cuisine with good variety. The mala 麻辣香鍋 is reallg awesome and a lot of options to select. If you didnt like spicy food, you can still enjoy it with mild spicy level. The restaurant is very clean and they serve pretty fast. I became a regular now. Strongly recommended.

First time trying vegetarian mala stir fry. They weigh all the ingredients together... We chose small spicy, which was good. The mala ingredients should be about $50... for 4 of us... Also ordered cereal mushroom - excellent choice.

Tried the curry chicken and the cumin ribs. The curry chicken is hands down the best curry I've had in Singapore. Nothing has come closer. The texture and the thickness of the gravy was perfect. The roasted peanuts at the side added a super flavor to the already tasty curry. The cumin ribs were also amazing! I've tried a mock pork product for the first time, and the "meat" was perfectly cooked and pink from inside. I had to double check if I was at a vegetarian place. The sugarcane stick inside was the "bone", and I was astounded at how tender the "meat" was cooked. It broke away clean from the stick when tried. Definitely a must go place. Will visit repeatedly

An amazing Chinese vegetarian restaurant! It's situated in the Rail Mall complex so it's a good place to eat lunch or an early dinner while hiking the Rail Corridor. This place is quite big so you can bring a large group to dine. We ordered individual dishes but they have vegetarian/vegan hot pot here as well. Furthermore, there is also a buffet to add more flexibility for diners. The food was delicious and the flavors and spice levels were on point for us. We had to order seconds for some of the dishes we initially order because we liked them so much.

Green on Earth is a nice place for vegetarian food. Their Mala Xiang Guo is very popular. I've shared that with my friends during our previous visits, and we all loved it. This time, we ordered from the à la carte menu for a change. The food was good, not exceptional, but flavourful and satisfying. I will definitely visit again with my vegetarian friends. My favourite dish was the Monkey Head Mushrooms in Black Vinegar Sauce (猴头菇醋). Highly recommended 👍🏼

Scrumptious and delicious food. The location of this restaurant is very good. The ambience is lively and cozy. We visited this place for lunch and ordered a hot pot (less spicy), yuzu jelly, mushroom udon noodles (my personal favourite), beancurd and tomato soup and fried beancurd. The beancurd was moist and fresh. The soup was tangy and hot. The udon noodles were thick, slurpy and soupy. It was a silky and luscious dream. They adjust the flavour of spiciness, chilli and oil upon your request. They are incredibly flexible. Overall, a great restaurant.

Been here couple of times. We found it when looking for a vegetarian restaurant to eat after our walk at Chestnut Nature Park. We tried several dishes and were super satisfied. Excellent service too! And the ambience was good. Will definitely go back and try other dishes❣😃

Over-rated but a mala paradise.😐 If a place charges you for tap water , it certainly puts me off in the 1st instance. The menu is avg. priced with lots of vegitarian options, however we stuck to mala and rice. We order a monsterous bowl of avg. Spicy mala 🔥 but it looks like the avg. Was way above our reach. The selection of veggies is great but it looks like the preparation could really be better 😢 1. The big bowl could have more peanuts 2. The bottom of the bowl was very ouly, (too much moisture) - the dry gives a better flavour. 3. The peppercorn numbing was spot on 4. But mala lacked fragrance and flavour. 5. We had to pay for water too (seriously?) The air conditioning is really good (now I know why! Coz of the heat that mala produces in you) This 1 pot costed me 50$

Very packed when we arrived about 6pm on a Saturday evening. Lots of people (almost all tables) ordered their self-picked stir-fried mala ingredients. People are pretty confused with the queue as 1 side you queue for picking your mala ingredients, while someone else queue to order a la carte. In fact, it is only 1 queue. We ordered Mapo tofu which is a bit salty but good! Monkey Head Mushroom Vinegar is a bit too sweet for our liking. Tom Yum soup is sweet instead of spicy and acidic. Stir-fried greens is good. Worth a trip to be back to try other dishes.

1st visit to Green on Earth at Rail Mall since they moved from Phoenix Road. Tried they Mala XiangGuo, impressed with their widw variety of items available for the xiang guo. Ordered their Hokkien Mee, must say totally overwhelmed by the "wok hey" of this dish. Very flavourful! Perhaps it's the location of the restaurant, last unit along the stretch of shops. Hence visited by regulars and not much walk-ins. People tend to miss this shop unit. Will definitely be back again to try their other dishes.

Decided to try the Green on Earth vegetarian spicy hot pot stir fry. Self pick ingredient with least spicy level. The taste is normal as what they should taste but the lion mane mushroom is a must to have. Too salty for us. A lot improvement is needed. Atmosphere is very good. The price is the downside for the whole experience. $3.30/ 100 gm is quite expensive for the standard. Won't be back for the spicy hot pot stir fry but will try on their other food on our next visit.

They serve very good vegetarian cuisines with wide varieties of vegetarian dishes to choose from. The restaurant is clean and cozy, but the only downside is the limited parking lots. We tried their Mala Xiang Guo, Oatmeal Mushrooms and Butter Cream Lotus Roots and we love them all as they were flavourful and tasty! Will definitely visit again to try other dishes :)

Came here for lunch. Its. One of the rare finds for a great vegetarian meal. We ordered the Hokkien Mee and Yang Zhou Fried rice. Hokkien Mee is one of the best vegetarian hokkien mee u will find in Singapore. We haven't tried anything so delicious so far. Fried rice is good too, able to be compared to. Restaurant quality vegetarian fried rice. Overall a 5/5 and definitely will be back soon!

Went for MLXG and they weren’t playing around when it came to the ‘ma’. Zhong la’s spice was just nice but was so numbing I couldn’t feel my lips or tongue LOL. Everything was already very well-tossed and coated in the mala sauce which I liked as you didn’t have to waste any time getting to the eating.

MLXG is their speciality, not that oily as compared to others. I must say their standard gotten better as compared to when they were at the old location. ?? But I do miss their old menu, I remb that it seems to have more varieties. My dad wanted to eat kway chap. Hope to see more addition to menu!

Known for their mala xiang guo, but also great for other dishes! The cedar shoot fried rice was delicious and full of wok hei. They also gave a generous portion of the oatmeal tofu. I highly recommend this place for the confortable environment, delicious food, large serving size and value!

    1. First time to the place, WAS NOT SERVED, had to figure out ourselves/ took the menu ourselves. 2. Already in the queue to order form counter, got asked to go back and sit down so they can take order. Didn’t come immediately if I had order from the counter, I would have ordered. 3. While ordering food, keep asking to sign membership. Confirm our food and walk off. 4. Free water but no cups and no water. 5. WAITED FOR 40MINS and only when asked why is our food not here. Then asked what we order and where is the receipt??? Excuse me, have you ever done table order and pay on the spot? U didn’t ask us to pay then where do we get the receipt from???? 6. THE LAMEST ANSWER EVER, I also don’t know what happen and then want to take our order. HELLO!!! It’s almost 8.45pm why would I want to wait again. THERE IS NO SERVICE RECOVERY AT ALL. Worst service ever.

  • 3/5 KF L. 4 years ago on Google
When reviews say it is expensive, it is indeed expensive. $19.80 for 2 pax. At least twice the price of 日日红麻辣, which is $10 for 2 pax. There is no garlic in the mala dish. They sell by weight regardless of vegetables. Taste wise, it is average compared to other more popular and affordable mala.

We ordered the alacarte mushroom udon, Yangzhou fried rice , hokkien mee and Thai toufu. All are amazingly tasty. Some might comment it a bit pricey but the portion is definitely huge and this is a restaurant hence can't compared to hawker or food court vegetarian stall. Will definitely come visit them more frequently. With decent crowd of 10 tables, they still serve promptly within 10 mins.

The restaurant is located on top of a small hill that overlooks Phoenix LRT station. We come here as there are not too many vegetarian choices around the area but often end up telling ourselves to patronize them less. I like their Thunder Tea rice, but only the soup as I feel they are not generous with the serving of vegetables. I tried to ask if I can just order without rice as I wanted other mains but was told that price is the same and portion of vegetable will be the same. Fine then. Mala is good too but very pricey, can easily exceed $20 if you take too much. You have to order first and tell them where you sit, despite this the waiters still always couldn’t find us. We told ourselves to stop going and go to Tanaka at the other end of CCK instead, let’s see if we succeed as they still have some food that are ok despite the price tag.

Customer service is perfect! Ate here for friends birthday, the boss helped us kept our surprise cake on their fridge and even cooperated voluntarily by broadcasting birthday music throughout the cafe! When we cant finish our food they helped us to takeaway for free as well! Needless to say the mala food is easily one of the best in Singapore even though its vegetarian! The ambience of the cafe is also wonderful! Would recommend to come here even if its faraway!

I go to this restaurant at least once a week and enjoy the mala noodles there. It tastes fantastic. Highly recommend. BUT, everytime I order online and get it delivered, it is utterly disappointing. It feels as if they have amateur chefs allocated for online orders or they don't care enough to give quality food for online orders. Don't even care to include all items that I have requested for. Once or twice is fine, but everytime I order online, its dry and tasteless. Used to be good in the past. Now totally ruined. Never again ordering online!

Food was good, service not so much. Ordered two milk tea and was told it would come in a couple of minutes. Food came first and 15 minutes later drink still did not arrived. Of course the food got cold and we were thirsty considering we were eating spicy food. Disappointed.

This restaurant serves Chinese vegetarian food. The Mala Xiang Guo here is the highlight. After a friend introduced us to this restaurant, my wife and I went back for the Mala Xiang Guo on 3 or 4 weekends consecutively. The ingredients always seem fresh, and the taste is consistent. On the few occasions we tried other dishes on the menu, we found them also to be of excellent quality and taste. Overall, this is an excellent place for Chinese vegetarian food. Make sure you reach there slightly before 12 noon to grab a table and avoid queues because it gets crowded very fast during the lunch hour.

It's my first visit to this eating place on the eve of New Year 2021 to taste the mala hot pot. But, this had not been very pleasant as the food was so so so salty. After lodging our complaint, the very nice Filipino waiter offered to try and drain away the excess salt, but to no avail. The same waiter quickly offered me to re-pick to cook afresh. We waited for at least 15 to 20 minutes for the supposedly freshly cooked mala hot pot. While the saltiness has been reduced to a large extent as compared to the original portion and 2nd round served, we managed to select the mushrooms, black fungus and bamboo shoots alike items that fortunately were not salty. The other corn flake fried tofu dish was also another dismay. It had a taste of coconut oil that's not to my liking. I reckon the oil used was not fresh. Overall, while there were many customers then, it's not to my liking and I am still surprised that this eating place could still garner a 4.4 average rating. Perhaps, lady luck was not with me for this maiden trial of this dish. The one star given can only go to the courteous Filipino waiter and the iced sour plum drink.

Yummy mala veg! I am not usually a fan of intense spice flavour, and tried e xiao (small) spicy level one time... and was hooked! Love e taste and flavours, and various textures. I choose what i want, usually lotus root, bitter gourd, tofu, monkey head mushroom, big head tau geh sprouts, green veg, .... and its all by weight.. min $10. The final dish is very well balanced, with peppercorn, ginger, whatever e concoction! And lots of fresh delicious peanuts and coriander, another of my fav! Ordered one portion mala veg + steamed rice, for take away lunch today. Good after taste, fresh feel and no msg. Thumbs Up! Thank you 😁👍

Just at a walkable distance from my condo but never visited them before, until I heard about them recently. So without wasting time I visited them for lunch. The place is huge with a lot of seating area which was somehow unexpected, but more the merrier. Ordered for their signature Mala Xiang Guo, and the mala was fragrant and tasty, and the sauce was delish. I had opted for medium spicy which was too hot for me to handle (had to pack half of it for takeout), but tasty and full of flavor. There is a wide variety of ingredients to choose from and all were fresh. The best part it’s all vegetarian. Would recommend it and need to come back to try other options.

Green on Earth was a discovery I made when I was looking for places in Singapore that serve vegetarian Mala, and I am so glad to have found it! I have visited it’s earlier location as well as the current, expanded one. The space is big and has a nice setting. They have a very elaborate menu with a lot of dishes incorporating mock meat as and when needed. However, I am a sucker for Mala Hotpot and that’s what I get every time I am here. And, it doesn’t disappoint. They have a wide selection of ingredients that can go into your Mala, starting from bean sprouts to mock meats, from Maggie noodles to Udon Noodles. I always choose the spiciest level, as I am firm believer of - if it’s not spicy, it’s not worth the oil that goes into making it :) This place is my go-to, guilt-free, Mala eatery to enjoy some extremely delicious Vegetarian Mala Hotpot. I absolutely recommend!

I'm surprised with their dishes, variety of special dishes that you can't find in others vegetarian restaurant. The dishes we ordered are beyond my expectation, especially for their cumin meat and sambal petai fried rice.

Nice vegetarian/vegan restaurant at Rail Mall. It's actually a great hidden gem for weekend brunches/lunches/tea break after hiking/walking in nearby parks. You get to sit down and enjoy nice food very quickly in a comfortable air-conditioned environment without waiting in long lines like other nearby restaurants/cafes. The laksa is truly delicious that I come back for the same dish🤤🍜 Desserts are also good but a little bit pricey compared to the food. Would love to come back again :)

We love the vegan laksa here - probably the best in Singapore. Staff here are lovely & sincere. Mala Xiang Guo was good, a little pricey than average but really glad it’s vegan 🌱 we found it a little too salty for our liking though. Looking forward to be back to try other dishes.

Tasty but greasy and not very healthy. Butter Cream Lotus Roots: 4.5 stars Original and very yummy dish! Sweet & Sour Yam Ring Monkey Head Mushroom: 4.25 stars Yam ring was perfectly crispy even though we got it delivery. Fried Mantou: 3.75 stars Stir-fried Kangkong: 3.5 stars Mushroom Udon Noodles: 3.5 stars I've never had asian noodles with western mushroom soup before... was interesting but not sure I'd get it again. Pro point of this dish was that it was very healthy (low salt, low sugar, low oil).

The Mala Xiang Guo is worth the buy. The hokkien mee is not bad.

Lousy service at the purchase.i ordered the food alr.waited for 45mins.Then I realised they mixed up my order n nothing was done to satisfy my umbrage.I am annoyed. They dont even know how to give me a discount or apologise properly. I am not going to patronise them anymore. They only serve their customers who are eating there and also the takeaways by grab or whatever. This is nonsense and rubbish service.

Mala is really good. Didn’t enjoy the kung Bao chicken, there was no dry chilli in it and it was too sweet. Laksa was tasted good.

80% of the visitors come here for their Mala Xiang Guo and it’s really shiok! 😍 Must try is also their oatmeal tofu or mushroom. 🙌🏻 Oh their hor-fun is also good, got the wok hey taste. 😀

Unforgettable meal from this restaurant. Everything is spot on!!! Using sugar cane to act as the bones of pork ribs is innovative!!! Chewing sugar cane is not common here in Sg and now you can try this after finishing the "meat". Yummy~~

Cosy place at Railmall. The yam ring with kong pao monkey head mushroom is delicious. Found the mala is a bit pricy. Curry chicken is fragrant, rich with coconut. Oatmeal tofu is smooth in the inside, crispy outside.

  • 2/5 Rachelle S. 2 years ago on Google
I feel that their brand is overrated. The taste is acceptable but nothing much to rave about , their mala Xiang guo is flavourful. But only MLXG is good. The rest of the dish tasted really normal please note their food isn’t cheap (4 dish is already $50 to $60) The waitress mei xin at railway outlet, gives you very bad Attitude and super unwelcoming. When approach ask for our order status as the app stated that it’s ready, she ignore and ask you to wait. End up all the food is already pack and put on the table while my husband 15 mins wait was totally unnecessary.

Amazing Spicy Fragrant Pot 麻辣香锅 vegetarian style! Choose the monkey head mushroom! It’s an absolutely must! The first we ever had, and it felt clean, healthy and not oil. Definitely coming back here again!

Cedar root fried rice here is delicious! Very tasty and fragrant. Also ordered their mala xiang guo. Their zhong la (medium spicy) here is like other places' da la (big spicy), so suggest to take it down one notch when u order. Will come back to try their laksa and hokkien mee next time.

A pure veg restaurant for mala hotpot and order Asian food items. I think it's a blessing for all vegetarians to have this option. I would highly recommend it.

  • 4/5 Nivi P. 2 years ago on Google
The place was packed on a Thursday evening. It is a good idea to reserve a table in advance. The place has a dedicated mala section apart from the usual food items. We had ordered a variety of dishes and it did not disappoint. The only dish I did not like was Fish in spicy fragrant sauce. The sauce fell short and did not live up to its name. Rendang and green curry were a hit and so was stir fry brinjal.

Was at Green on Earth for lunch on 20 Feb 2022. Favourite treat for my health buddy group after our hikes if around that area. It’s a yummy vegetarian restaurant with friendly staff & great food & drinks (warm winter melon tea & sour plum for us today. Also tried their yuzu tea, lemon grass tea on other occasions - all refreshing & satisfying so far). Our all-time favourite, the man tou (with condensed milk for dipping) & fried Hokkien Mee, must try! All dishes were delicious & we wiped our plates clean save for the sugar cane sticks (after we sucked out the juice in the cumin “pork ribs” dish) (new choice & a good choice at that), & a small bit of the Hokkien fried mee that was soaked too much in the chilli - we couldn’t take that much of spiciness. Loved the braised tou fou dish, enjoyed the “shark’s fin soup” that tasted great with a bit of vinegar & pepper. The cedar shoot fried rice was also tasty! The restaurant was bright with a pleasant ambience. Free parking at roadside just outside of restaurant available; if not, parking at the open air carpark available next to the row of shophouses where it is located. Per pax, we spent about $24 for a very enjoyable healthy meal. As usual, we had a lot of fun there… enjoying great food in a friendly , clean & comfortable setting - great for family & friends get together over healthy, yummy meals.

Known for their Mala Xiang Guo, but their other dishes are also worth a try! Not stellar in terms of presentation, but taste-wise pretty good with nice wok hey. The staff can advise which dishes are vegan, but I really hope the menu can be labelled to clearly indicate which dishes contain egg and dairy. They have some daily specials too. Good eatery to dine at if you're visiting the Rail Corridor or Former Ford Factory.

Came here with my family to celebrate Father's Day (June 2022). The food is pretty good, except for some dishes that were very oily (I think can tell from the photo haha). But I think can avoid the mala dishes if you prefer something less oily. Service is decent - more self-service than anything. You will need to queue to order. Will come again to try other dishes for a more well-rounded review :)

Wasn’t expecting much from a random restaurant in the rail mall but this place blew us away! Cereal cauliflower hit a sweet spot of sweet, spicy, savoury and super crispy. Yang zhou fried rice had so much wok hei and we didn’t miss the meat at all. Mantou was perfect. I’d only skip the mala xiangguo next time, which was just ok and cost much more than everything else on the very affordable menu. Also incredibly fast service - food came out piping hot in 5 mins. Will be back!

The restaurant is very clean and cosy. Vegs selection looks fresh. Mala tasted like what you would expect but this one has a stronger numb feeling as compared to other restaurants. Prefer the non numb version so wouldn't recommend this store as much. Ordered medium spicy but it wasn't spicy at all, can go higher level if you love spicy.

One of the best vegetarian restaurants we’ve had. The mala is sooo good with a lot of variety. We also had the mee goreng, so flavourful. We also ordered the coconut pudding which filled with coconut jelly, very very nice end to the meal. Additionally, the ambience was good and the restaurant was very clean. We will definitely be back.

Generally tasty vegetarian food, however not everything on menu is good, so take your pick. Minus star Service is bad when u call to make reservation, the lady is impatient. Minus star. Handphone reception is terrible in the restaurant.

Our first time eating at this restaurant is on Christmas eve. We ordered San Bei Tofu ($18) and Yam Basket ($26). The sauce was overly sweet, and not enough basil leaves. We struggled to eat as much as we could so as not to waste food. The yam ring was soft, but lack the natural sweetness of yam. The mushrooms were supposed to cook in gongbao sauce - as a meat substitute. But they were coated with thick flour in some sweet sauce with puny cubes of green and yellow peppers. I was expecting to eat authentic, healthy vegetarian dishes but ended up consuming so much unnecessary sugars. Do not expect to be served. You have to ring the bell and wait for someone to appear at cashier for ordering and payment at the same time. Only 3 tables of 2-3 patrons at around 12 to 1 pm. The most important note is that we suffered from flatulence the day after the food and will never visit again.
