Room with '80 carpet, everything is dirty. Table cloth was not changed on any of the tables for whole week. Loss of water and energy for 2-3h very common. Staff treats All Inclusive customers as necessery evil, giving drinks (like beer) in 100ml plastic cups. I got trapped in elevetor, the doors had to be pried open. All they did with this 1 of 2 lifts was slap a out of order message for 4 days.

Many thanks to all the staff, especially to Mounir, Hedy, the animation guys, the gentleman serving at the pool and last but not least Mira, you are wonderful! Room cleanliness should be improved.

PROS AND CONS: Pros: First of all, service was good, reception, cleaning staff, very kind and helpful people. DJ Kimu and bartender Manu are AMAZING. Good drinks and music made our holiday better. They are chatty and smiley - you just want to be at the bar. Music was amazing and we had a good dance there. Kimu is very friendly and he will tell you a lot of stuff about the region. To be honest - bartender and DJ are the nicest people in this hotel. I believe that they would do a good job on your own party. You can watch some footbal on the TV as well. Indoor swimming pool was lovely, warm and mostly empty so me and my other half had peaceful swim. Its was a good weather and we had some sunbathe next to outdoor swumming pool. In case of food in the hotel restaurant it was mostly good, the only thing is that food was usually cold. Then the kitchen staff (or manager) put a microwave next to the food. Room was warm and we slept peacefully, excluding one night when some people made a loud party at night. Cons: Rooms and all hotel need refurbishment, it needs painting, there are carpets in rooms that are not vacummed, a lot of dust everywhere, bins are not being changed, we didnt have anything to dry our towels or clothes, dirty fridge, dirty old bin in the toilet, dirty shower curtain, dirt under the beds, disgusting toilet brush, there were 4 beds in 2 people room.... why? No iron and ironing desk, no kettle, no glasses or mugs, teas or sugar. Moreover, lifts in that hotel are jokes. Shows incorrect floors, buttons do not work, you will wait 10 minutes to get downstairs, dirty doors and broken mirrors. Manager of the restayrant just wanted to be tipped and we saw how he behaved. We had the same table all holidays in the restaurant, table cloth was not changed at all... no serviettes, you need to go and find them somewhere in the restaurant. To sum up, i would come back if those issues would be resolved.

Nightmare.. It was our first vacation near the sea.. we are strongly dissapointed.. the hotel was unbelievably dirty and old-fashioned.. in the whole hotel is strong smell, the food was such a disaster.. the stuff was quite friendly, but on reception it was problém to talk in english.. we did not like the way of table manners.. the forks, knifes, tables were still dirty, glasses no talking.. it was only few types of alcohol in a price, maybe 5, and of course, it was all warm and without ice.. so we did Not have the chance to have a good time, the party for young people did not held, so we were quite bored in the evenings.. pillows were so dirty and smelling, the bathroom and toilet looked like it has never been cleaned and desinfected properly To súm up, i would not go to this hotel either it would be for free, complete disaster, nightmare

No words needed.. this kind of hotel should be Closed! No food qualityand no diversity, no hygiene in the room, and the list it’s stil opened! I don’t Recommend ! Even the stuff was unfriendly and they were having the feeling that you take fruits or food for free…!

Not working AC in summer is a big problem , a hotel with +500 rooms should have more than only one super slow elevator, food is not bad but it's not that good , also i think you shouldn't pay for water . But the the staff is kind , the location is good ( near a beach ) and it have a good pool , basketball yard and mini golf need to be fixed .

Royal Jinene could be very nice hotel to spend holiday, but maybe some years ago, now it's just building with one pool which is open. First I tell about positive. Very clean swimming pool and so close to the sea, drinkbars which were opened to 12:00 pm, and they had good pizza after lunch. Now negatives: They advertise that they have 3 swimming pool, gym, pitches to basketball and Volleyball, Mini Golf and more. But in reality they have just one swimming pool in outside. The other pools and gym was - like they say on reception - in reperation. Well maybe we could believe but one pool inside was visible from outside and we saw that there was fool of water and nothing happens there. Attractions like pitches or mini golf were closed - in pictures you will see why. Te service was diffrent some was really nice and frielndy but some they work like they wanted to kill you. We had more problems with this hotel. Sometimes we get not enough towels, once the lift was stopped between floors. Food and drinks. Food is always the same despite one or two dishes on canteen, and not every one was good to eat. Drinks were better especialy in hotel drinkbar. On the beach they had only beer and sometimes vodka nothing more. Well for me that was the worst hotel that I spend my holiday. I don't reccomend it to anyone. P.s. Sorry for my bad english :(

The staff were helpful and friendly, the hotel was clean and lovely situated about 3 miles from sousse centre. A path down to the beach which was private and beautiful. Food was basic but very good. Lot's of salads, meat and melon , not much variation but it was all very good. Cake was provided daily in a limited number. Their was water slides at the pool being built, but not functional during our stay. Overall we'd a great experience, l would return, it was great value for money .

Stayed there for 7 nights, the room was clean, the AC was working perfectly, we had beautiful sea view, very kind and nice staff, everyone was helpful, very good beer, i’m a very picky eater but I always found something delicious at breakfast, lunch and dinner, the pool is nice, and I loved the beach + cute cats in the garden The only downside is, very weak wifi connection

It was listed as 4* should be 2*. Hotel would be lovely when built 2004 but no maintenance or upkeep has been done, now tired and dirty! Carpet in corridors but never hoovered. No shampoo soap ect in room on arrival cleaning skipped completely one day. No Fridge or mini bar in room as advertised. Phone & hairdryer broken in room. Also No laundry service. Food & drink terrible same food lunch and dinner time nearly every day only chips and potatoes swapped. Snack bar was just pizza everything else was not part of all inclusive deal. Food not hot no lids on to keep it warm, or prevent fly access, no variety, same for lunch and dinner everyday! Drinks basic no cocktails, no lemonade only cherry coke. Only good thing was lovely beach but not many beds plenty broken or with no mattress. Same at pool area also not very clean. Indoor pool closed no spa or gym available as advertised. Entertainment ok first week but then it was the same every 7days so boring if you are there for 2weeks as no change. Very limited signal on Wi-Fi took ages to send one wap message. Only one out of two lifts broken all time we were there. Some off the staff were very nice and helped when they could. Had stomach flu for 13 days of holiday, sadly would not recommend and will never return.

Solid hotel, great service. The beach is much better than a 5 star hotel beach. No basketball court, golf course and no gym. Food is solid, but every day is the same. All in all, a great place for a family vacation.

One of older (at least older looking) hotels around. Accomodation was OK, you know, you are not there to stay in hotel room all the time, so for the night it is enough. There is air conditioning, but our was either working full or nothing. Room cleaning was done good. Own hotel pool (inside and outside) was nice. Distance to the beach was good, a minute of walk, half way there you get a bar. Very very good for refreshing while on beach. On the beach, you can grab beach chairs. Water is nice, with a few jellyfish here and there. During 8 days I got hit only by one small. Beach is not closed so you can have a nice walk up and down. The personell was fine, we had no issues. Food was "eatable" but, mostly the same things repeating. The cakes were best. The city is not very spectacular, apart from the historic center. There are enough attractions around, and everyone is trying to lure you into one :D Also, everyone is trying to sell you something. And people there learned a lot of languages so watch out :) To sum it up, I enjoyed time there. It is not luxurious or the best place but for vacation it serves well.

Service is low. We had problems with towels (no change, there were periods when we had noone). There was no animation except loud music near the pool. The serving was awful, it was pretty hard to eat in the hotel, had to eat outside in different cafes. And that was "all inclusive". All drinks, like water, tea, so-called juices, this all smells and tastes bad. Brunch snacks were hard to get every time, people made queues to get one. Additionally, the infrastructure is quite old. The positive part was that therewere some positive people from the staff.

I've passed a lovely vacation in hotel Royal Jinene, all the staff members are welcoming and respectful, the food was tasty and diversified, the location of the hotel is perfect ( close to the nightclubs of the city and 5minutes to port.el.kantaoui.) I will come back in the summer.

The staff are very friendly and helpful. The pool is very cold, but huge. The rooms are very clean and spacious with balcony. Private beach and a shop and italian restaurant on site. But the all inclusive menu is very basic and not nice. As an english family, we could not eat the food. We had to keep buying pizza from the restaurant which is not the best. We lived on crisps and chocolate for a week. The chef made chips specially for us every night. But apart from the food situation, the hotel is grand, and a wonderful place. There is nothing really outside of the hotel. 1 or 2 cafes and 2 small corner shops. But the cafes were always closed, which may have been because of Ramadan.

Not worthy of on star hotel very poor and for all inclusive now being told to pay for bottle of water. Food is abysmal with same every day and served cold. Found cockroach in the room, also have flea bites. If you fancy a good healthy holiday DO NOT STAY HERE. The adverts for here are so misleading, only spirit served is weak local vodka all others are chargeable, no ice cream for children, overall a very disappointing hotel and one to avoid. Did not expect the Ritz but to get a version of a hostel is ridiculous. BE WARNED

The hotel was excellent. It felt like a 5 star hotel. Breakfast included personally cooked omelettes, doughnuts (beignets) or pancakes. The swimming pool was very large and not too full. The beach was well maintained with sunshades and a bar/restaurant.

Very disappointed with this hotel pictures look great on the Internet. Even some of the reviews were mixed. The rooms were disgusting and not being looked after for a very long time. The staff were friendly, moved us to an another room and then to another room where we then stayed for the rest of our stay food is the same every day not much choice, building is just a poor state of repair and use the lifts at your peril. It’s a shame back in its day. This hotel would’ve been really nice. I just feel that I’ve been catfish. Just very disappointing hotels stay do not stay at this hotel much better up the road for the same price.
