We stayed here in December and loved it. Beds are comfortable, loved the shower. And the complimentary breakfast was amazing. We decided to stay there this weekend, but NO BREAKFAST now. Not even a granola bar or yogurt. For the price I could have gotten another room at a nicer hotel with the breakfast included. That was the ONLY reason we decided to stay there again. Never again. I was beyond dissatisfied.

Great little hotel right on the river! Perfect for any event in the area. We made last minute reservations just a day before we were going to check in without a single problem. Great rates and easy digital check in/out. Large on-site outdoor parking lot (not gated). Staff was friendly and welcoming! The hotel had a nice swimming pool as well as a playground and outdoor games. Only a 10 minute walk right along the river to Spokane Arena. Rooms were spacious, very clean, and seemed to be recently renovated. They even had a nice/new bathroom with a walk-in glass shower and complimentary bath products. The only "downside" was that the hotel was very busy and the hallways were loud during the day (to be expected). However, it did seem to quiet down after dark and we had no issues sleeping or anything. Overall, I highly recommend this hotel if you are in Spokane for a quick trip! Great spot, especially in the summer!

Ruby River is an AMAZING hotel. I purchased a group block with Chelsea Adams and was given first class service. She was on top of everything and made our group's stay just perfect. The rooms were beautiful and clean and the location has stunning views of the river. I would HIGHLY recommend this hotel for your personal vacation or business trip.

I have stayed at many Ruby Hotels. Love them all. This one is by far my favorite. The room was clean. They allowed us late check out with no charge. The bar serves great drinks and will even make you one to take to your room. Will be back! They also have a mask sign but do not harrass you about wearing one.

Newly updated rooms with modern style, and clean. Comfortable beds. Rain shower head, good soaps. Really nice pool area which seemed well-balanced with the chemicals. Only downside was the continental breakfast- not good at all! Powdered eggs, rubbery sausage and potatoes... Bleh! Coffee was decent though. Hey, Ruby Hotel: Everything else was great! Just bump up the breakfast quality a bit and I'll give it 5 stars!

Stayed here as part of a hockey tournament group stay. Overall an okay place. Pros: Mattress was comfortable, and the hotel was in a nice location that overlooked the river. Easy access to freeway and other downtown attractions. Cons: Noisy - we were next to the hot tub which made for some unpleasant evenings prior to quiet hours. Bed was comfortable but no extra blankets were available both nights I checked with the front desk. Had to use my coat instead. Also, breakfast not included with stay - $15 per person and it left much to be desired. Hotel also seems dated. Bottom line: For a $250+ per night hotel stay, I expected better. But at the end of the day, I was able to get a good nights sleep both nights, so they get points for that.

My daughter and I stopped at Ruby River late while driving home when we got caught in a storm. Service was excellent and we got into a room quickly. Room was great, came with black out curtains, a rain shower head and the basics like a mini fridge, microwave and coffee pot. Only complaint is that breakfast ends at 9am on weekends. Would prefer a little later. Other than that, excellent stay!

Our poolside room felt like resort living. The kids loved the pool and hot tub. We brought our bicycles and biked through the riverfront and GU campus. Booked for four, and paid $20 for the fifth member of our family to have a rollaway bed. They've done a great job renovating this riverfront hotel. Will definitely be back!

What an amazing hotel. Rooms are great, clean and quiet. The staff are awesome friendly and very accommodating. The location is in the perfect spot, very close walk for everything you need. I can't wait to come back to Spokane in the near future, this is going to my go-to place whenever in town.

The pool is the best part! While the hotel itself looks to have had some renovations (new paint, interior furniture, wall decor) the building itself is old and not in the best shape. While checking in at 9pm out front desk agent was less than friendly and when asking questions I simply go a β€œI’m going to give you a paper that says everything just wait!” No early check in and no late checkout allowed durning my stay. Walking into my room there was trash left on the floor just under the bed(unfortunate but not a big deal) the pool was wonderful and worth every penny to have a pool side room. We were saddened by the fact that on a Friday night the pool was not open later (only until 11) opened the following day at 9am. Overall we had a comfortable stay, but had it not been for the pool…it wouldn’t have been worth the price.

Convenient for the convention Center only about .5 miles away. If you walk over the river bridge. Located on the river if you want a scenic river walk. Not super close to shopping if that's what you're into. Modern feel. Very nice pool area with hot tub and patio off pool if you're in those facing rooms. Pool's open until 10. Would be a FANTASTIC place for a family vacation or reunion. Pool is accessible with ramp. Lots of nice outdoor seating with gas fireplaces. Bar had nice cocktails for about $10-13. Cocktails to go and hit the pool. Restaurant smelled promising but I wasn't able to try it. Rooms have showers no baths, but visit the hot tub, it's excellent people watching. There's words on the wall so beware if you're not into that kind of kitcsh. They're pet friendly, although they made an effort to put me in a room where pets hadn't been in a while since I'm allergic. Overall I'd come back.

Great hotel, especially for the price! Located very close to downtown Spokane. The staff was friendly and helpful. My room was very nice with a very comfortable, soft bed and fluffy pillows. There's a bar and restaurant. I didn't eat or drink while I was there, so I can't attest to their quality. It did smell good walking by the restaurant and it was packed the night I was there, so I assume it's pretty good. So far it's the nicest hotel for the money that I've found in Spokane. It will be my first choice for lodging the next time I visit Spokane.

Stayed her while attending a conference at Gonzaga. Rooms were clean and spacious. A/C kept my room cool, but the hallways are ice cold. Breakfast was typical hotel buffet fare, but they ran out of yogurt one day. The pool was fantastic, and the yard games are a nice touch. Over all a nice place to stay.

They use either a lot or a very strong room fragrance spray. We had to move rooms. The first room smelled like that chemical perfume spray, it was so strong that we left the room to air out for 2hrs and it was still nauseating when we got back. We were able to switch rooms but it still smells, not as bad if we just leave the window open. I have a scent allergy and it's been unpleasant. Other than the fragrance the hotel is fairly nice for the price. Wouldn't stay here again, need to find a hypoallergenic hotel. *The Wi-Fi is good, saw some reviews saying it was bad. But we were in building 4 and it was good enough for a Roku connection.

Great stay overall! Staff went above & beyond to accommodate us & make sure we enjoyed every aspect of our stay!! Our air conditioner wasn't working & they replaced it with a new unit & that's just one example. Everyone was very helpful & kind! We will definitely stay there again should the need arise. Thank you Ruby River!!

Room was very clean and bed was comfortable. No loud people at night. Good location with a tucked away parking lot that felt safe. The walking path is right there for an extra activity which was nice. Only con is the breakfast needs improvement. Costs $10 ( if paid night before) and is the same buffet and quality of a continental breakfast that is normally free at other hotels. There also wasn't any juice, cereal or toast.

We loved everything about our stay! Traveling together-grandma, daughter, granddaughter and dog. Great location, great restaurant-burger was fabulous- great patio, great place for the dog, room was clean, bed super comfortable, staff was so sweet in every area! Did I mention the wonderful patio!! Loved the trail along the river, and loved being on the river front! We all look forward to returning!

This is a greatvplace to stay and great location within walking distance of downtown and the park. The beds were super comfy! The staff super friendly! The cocktails in the lounge/bar were not all that great. If the cocktails were better it would be a 5 star place! The river front is beautiful to sit outside and look at!

We had an amazing stay at the Ruby River Hotel. Great setup for families with two pools, the larger of which is safe and enjoyable for young kids to swim in. Large pool deck so you have lots of space. Rooms are clean and well laid out. A few back on to the pool too which is convenient for families. Amazing and very accommodating staff who really make you feel welcome. We will visit again for sure.

I've been coming here since 2019, about when they started the renovation. They are now done. Great transformation. Everything is clean and up to date. Check in was done remotely and worked well. My room was well laid out, with space for my stuff. Plenty of charging ports and plugs. I just wish they would bring back the airport shuttle. Ride share works but, you know.

The patio is beautiful and the restaurant food and drinks were great. Good prices at happy hour but a little pricey otherwise. Enjoyed the outdoor pool very much! There's a nice walking path along the river. If you go further than the property, I suggest bringing a friend and mace. We encountered some local homeless folks who left me and my sister feeling uncomfortable. We would definitely stay there again, but if you wander off property, be aware of your surroundings.

Close to downtown, but easy to get in and out. Rooms have been renovated nicely. Staff was super friendly. The warm continental breakfast was fine, but basic. Not quite up to par with the rest of the experience.

I adore this hotel. I had an awful stay at The Historic Davenport (dirty/dusty room, insanely loud noise pollution from the street below, no in-room fridge, really gross/old pool and hot tub) which I cut short and then transferred to Ruby River. It was an upgrade in every way. Though the building & rooms are simple, the whole place is clean, quiet, has a gorgeous pool/hot tub, is right on the Centennial Trail alongside the river, a quick walk will take you downtown or into the heart of Gonzaga's beautiful campus. The staff is super kind and accommodating. And it all costs way less than the Davenport. My only complaint is no room service and the restaurant is difficult to contact for take out. Overall, I'm in love. Do yourself a favor and stay here!

Great place to stay! Clean, quiet, warm and comfortable. Hospitality team friendly, welcoming, and very helpful. Stayed here over the Christmas weekend. God bless all the staff who worked through the weekend, even Christmas Day, to keep the rooms clean and supplied! We had to extend our stay 4 more days because our scheduled flight home was canceled due to extreme winter weather. Grateful that we had such a comfortable and centrally located place to stay. We will definitely book a room here when we come again to visit family.

A very disappointing hotel, though the grounds out back were nice, especially the path along the river. The continental breakfast was the worst and smallest I've ever seen, nothing prepared, just a bowl of fruit and some packaged items from a convenience store; don't even think about trying the coffee, btw. The room was clean, but that's the only good thing I can say about it. It was tiny, there was NO place to sit, and the beds were the most uncomfortable ones I've ever subjected my spine to. The TV worked well, though. The visit to the Best Western Plus the day before was FAR better and a lot cheaper, too. On the bright side, I didn't starve and I didn't die, though I sure felt like it.

Centrally located, friendly and helpful staff, very accomidating even for last minute changes. Clean rooms with microwave, fridge, coffee. Have not tried breakfast yet. Nice pool area, outdoor area, right on the river. Good food, good bar. There is a BBQ place on site and is very good, only complaint is the pain of smelling smoked ribs the whole stay. The struggle is real.

A great stay and an excellent location. Staff was accommodating and friendly, allowed us to check in early and check out late. Plenty of pet areas, great for traveling with dogs. We enjoyed all the fall colors and walking along the trail towards downtown. Many activities in walking distance. Free warm breakfast and coffee in the morning, but if you want something different the hotel restaurant was delicious. We did not get to enjoy the pools, spa, playground or courtyard games but all looked lovely.

Paid extra for a poolside room, only to find out that the pool wasn't even open. Plenty of people hanging out by the pool anyway, so basically paid extra for a room with extra noise. Edit: Well it's the next morning and this is easily the loudest, most chaotic hotel I've ever stayed in... Dogs barking, people banging on doors all night, playing music and having loud conversations in the hallway. It reminds me of when I was staying in hostiles in college. If you want to spend $200+ per night to spend the night in a frat house, this is the place for you.

Enjoyed our short stay! Great location on the river, great for long walks. The hot tub and pool were awesome. The only thing I would not recommend is the breakfast. Bring some fruit and yogurt and create your own. There is a refrigerator in your room and a microwave. Over all it was terrific πŸ‘

We went here for my Birthday Dinner and it was amazing. Awesome atmosphere and had live music. Beautiful scenery of the water. The food was very delicious! Their signature drink the offspray was I feel like the best mix drink I have had. I do recommend if you have a special occasion going on to dine in when they are not super busy.

Clean, spacious and well appointed room. Had great lighting and an abundance of plug outlets & USB charging ports. Staff was great, there were bicycles to borrow for free, nice little fitness room & 2 pools (one specifically for families.). The on-site restaurant was great, and had riverside patio dining. In my opinion, a good value and great location (just a short walk over the bridge to a bustling downtown.)

Pool and hot tub area are spectacular. Nice touch in the decor department with stenciled quotes on the walls. Comfortable beds, a bit disrupted sleep, but the hotel can't make everybody use indoor voices as they walk down the hall.

It was a lovely hotel with a great view and great area! Loved the room and it was lovely to walk around. Pool was nice too and even had some quiet moments to swim outside alone. But I marked it down one star because, even though I understand breakfast closes at 9, it felt like breakfast ended around 8:45 because that's when people start to clean up. I just feel like if I walk in at 8:58, I should be able to still get some food. Other than that, no complaints!

This place is so close to being a five star place, but the food and service needs major improvement. The place was clean, and very big. Great place to stay. For dinner, find some place else. Only thing worth eating was the pulled pork tacos. Those were amazing! A 100 dollar tab and only the 12 dollar pork tacos was worth it getting. The waiter was decent, but he could work on his customer service better. Breakfast was just coffee, muffins, and boiled eggs. The coffee was okay. If this place made sure to give good quality food and a good breakfast this would pass the 5 star 🌟 mark. I could see all the customers around picking at their food as if they were disappointed. From someone with pasta...all to dessert. Even the liquor drinks needed more attention. My cocktail wasn't chilled at all so I had to put ice myself to try to enjoy it. Very beautiful place, just missing that important piece so customers don't need to go anywhere else.

Such a fun, affordable , enjoyable hotel! Staff was friendly and helpful. The hotel had 2 outdoor pools to accommodate both ages of my children! It was a beautiful spot right next to the river. Plenty of space to walk and enjoy the river. We also enjoyed the outdoor play area that had giant connect 4, corn hole and a play area for the littles. Bar had a nicely priced and delicious happy hour. It was a great experience. We will be back!

This hotel lines the Spokane River, making downtown within walking distance using the river walk. The pool and hot tub are way over top amazing. Not your typical hotel pool. Grounds were beautiful. Beds were comfortable. Rooms were spacious and very clean. 10/10... Would recommend!

We were greeted by friendly and helpful staff. We could all tell this is a good place to work and employees enjoy their jobs. Impressively clean and spacious rooms that had been renovated recently. Pool area was amazing and comfortable. Breakfast was great and there were many options. I do not have any recommendations for improvement. You all nailed it. Perfect stay for 4 of us in 2 rooms.

  • 5/5 Sara B. 1 year ago on Google
The pool areas are the highlight of this hotel and warrent five starts on their own. Really beautiful main pool and fun game area next to the other pool. A walking path along the river is just outside with several access points with your room key. The rooms are comfortable. The layout of the hotel makes for a lot of walking so maybe request a ground floor room either close to the main pool or the front desk if anyone in your group has mobility issues. Skip the restaurant for dinner or sit outside and enjoy the good cocktails. Go early for the breakfast buffet. Its good selection of hot and cold items is not out long enough for such a large hotel and gets crowded just before 9 as workers try to take it all away.

Quite displeased with our recent stay. Staff was very friendly and willing to help. However, upon settling into our first room, we noticed dust, dirt on the shower floor, constant flickering lights, and stained sheets. When asking for a new room, staff were happy to help. We asked if they could inspect our new room before-hand, and they said it looked good to them. We moved into the room next to our original one, and it was definitely cleaner. However, the lights continued to flicker, although now just every once in a while, and there were even more stains on the sheets. Including some that looked to be either blood or smeared lipstick and foundation. Being extremely tired, and now doubting there were any sheets in the hotel without stains, we stuck with this room. Overall, I am extremely displeased with the quality given the price of the room.
