If you travel to Spokane, WA, you must visit the historic Davenport Hotel, which opened its doors in 1914. This timeless hotel is immersed with over 100 years of history. It ornate lobby and ballrooms have hosted many presidents, dignitaries, and politicians throughout the years. Including John F. Kennedy, Bing Crosby, Clark Gable, Babe Ruth, Amelia Earhart, to name a few. The Palm Court Grill, located in the hotel, can boost the original Crab Louie created by created by Louie Davenport. Absolutely delicious!

The hotel was nice, however, there was a huge party going on in the suite next to me that extended into the hallway. I called "At Your Service" twice asking if there was anything they could do to get the party quieted. I selected the top floor "Penthouse Suite" (which, I'm guessing there are several floors with all rooms similar) and a room at the far end from the elevator hoping it would be a quiet room. I paid extra for a room I thought would be quiet and was quite disappointed. I would not recommend this hotel unless you're part of the party.

Since 2010 it was an upscale new place in Spokane, WA. With peanut brittle, daily room service and the best breakfast and waiters. They had a Lincoln shuttle take u anywhere in town including airport. The frustration is in service and hotel management. We spoke with Alan. He looked as a nice genuine person who promised to take care about us but he didn’t. Rooms were not changed, no water pressure in a shower, breakfast waiter were new and we could not get a coffee for 30 min at the breakfast. Manager didn’t respond to email. They have a lot of turnover. The good thing about them is location and spacious king size beds. Not sure if we will be back.

We had stayed at the Grand multiple times before but this last stay was really really bad, especially at the price point. For starters, you get a “light room refresh” by request only. This means they won’t come clean your room at all unless you call each morning. When they do come clean the room, they will not vacuum at all. They will forget to provide new clean towels. In addition, calling down to the front desk does not always mean someone will answer so you will need to walk down there to talk to someone. They will forget your parking pass that you paid for, so you’ll need to prompt them for that too. Your linens might be torn like ours were. The cleaning staff won’t change them because they are understaffed which seems like they ought to hire more folks but what do I know? Overall, you can do a whole lot better at a much cheaper place in Spokane. I would avoid this hotel if possible.

The Penthouse Suite is AMAZING! Stayed there for 3 days and it was incredibly relaxing. The oversized tub revitalized my life. Staff were always friendly even when I was upset about the pullout bed not working. Room service was prompt and deliciously worth it. Nicest place to stay in Spokane and a little cheaper if you book a month in advance. Thank me later!!!

My first time staying at the Davenport Grand, let me tell you this won’t be my last. Beautiful decor, clean room, great service. Most comfortable bed with the most comfortable pillows. I think that was the highlight. I was extremely happy with my stay 10/10. The only thing I didn’t necessarily enjoy is the breakfast in the hotel restaurant, I ordered an Eggs Benedict and was a bit disappointed. For an upscale place like this, it looked very sad, with a hash brown on the side. But the location is great with lots of other breakfast option.

Fantastic experience from start to finish. Check-in was friendly and efficient. The bottle of champagne waiting in our room was a welcome surprise. Drinks at the Terrace Bar are a terrific way to start the evening before venturing out to one of the many fantastic restaurants close by. The hotel is across the street from the river and Riverfront Park. The perfect location for exploring during the day. Couldn't have had a better stay.

The stay was great. The room we got had a 3 person tub with a separate shower and toilet room. Dual vanities as well. The bed was comfy. The pillows were a bit soft. The only downside was the rooms had no Fridge or Microwave and parking was another $25 for self parking. For $400+ it should have a Fridge, Microwave and free parking.

Awesome hotel! Super friendly staff and amazing food! In town for work starting at midnight and after a long work day they checked us in early so we could shower and rest before heading down to Table 13 for some of that incredible prime rib *chefs kiss*! Rooms were spotless and comfortable as always! Love this place!

This was the best hotel I’ve ever stayed in. After working out in the gym that has great equipment, I decided to walk around for a bit. I then realized that this hotel is truly amazing. There are dome things on a balcony, which I guess was a bar. The bathrooms made me feel like I was a king. In my room, there were actually lights on the ceiling, which I don’t know why other hotels don’t have. The bathroom in the room was great, and the mirror in the bed part made the room feel huge. Also, electric shades! This hotel made me feel on top of the world. Definitely coming back here.

First time staying here! Everything was great! The staff were very friendly. The rooms were super cool and contemporary. The bed was super comfy, but so soft it was hard to sleep. We tried a dessert there and it was amazing! We walked around a lot. It was nice there are so many places to explore that are close. The only con was parking and trying to find the garage when we first got there, but eventually we found it. Ha!

Pricier than many of the hotels in Spokane, the Davenport Grand is my choice when visiting the area. The rooms are large, the beds are amazing. An added bonus is its great location and access to shopping and the riverfront. Valet parking is available for an extra cost, or they offer public parking that is attached to the hotel; still costs money but not as much as valet.

I had a very short stay overnight while on a business trip. Great location with very friendly staff. I was pleasantly surprised that the restaurant and bar were still open when I arrived at about 10:00 PM, I eas hoping that they had valet parking, which they do! I had time to go to my room to unpack and still be able to get a couple of drinks. The rooms are very up to date and weli furnished. Oh, they upgraded me to a large room with a beautiful view! Too bad I had to leave early for a meeting!

The hotel was very clean and nice. The personel overall was very friendly and professional. However, spending $350 a night and not having a nice free breakfast as an option is absurd. I will never visit this place again. We literally check in at 9 pm and checked out at 550 am. I dropped off my girlfriend and returned for the breakfast between 6-11 am, to find out this luxury hotel is too cheap and greedy to provide even a buffet, or any type of food, or beverage for free. What a rip off! I was way happier with LA Quinta for a third the cost, and a nice free breakfast.

I stayed here 9/16/23 and will never be back. The bed was horrible you could not sit on the end it would bend and the sheets hurt. The shower had zero pressure and all the way on hot was still cold. I could hear the music below louder than my TV until 10:30 and once that stopped cars drag racing all night made for zero night sleep. I checked out at 5 am and had to wait for 20 minutes for valet to get my car. The hotel may be pretty but if you want any rest or a hot shower your out of luck!

Room was lovely and clean. Location excellent but …. When I checked in on a Tuesday early evening. I noticed a pair of used wine glasses sitting outside my door. The next morning I went for coffee and the glasses were still there. I returned mid afternoon and the glasses were still there and they had been joined by a used food tray a couple doors down. I reported the situation to the front desk even showing them a photo of the glasses. They said it would be taken care of. Returning from dinner, now over 24 hours since arriving and the glasses and tray are still there, now with tiny flies circling it. When I checked out on Thursday morning they were still there. I expect better from a Marriott.

Pretty nice hotel, it's very updated and possibly even new. Very clean. The restaurant is quite expensive. I had a ribeye steak there that was pretty good. There's no microwave or refrigerator in the rooms. FYI. It's not that big of a deal to me but it's nice to have a a little fridge to keep cold drinks in. They have a pretty nice gym.

Such a nice hotel and had very affordable conference rates. Was able to check in early, no problem which was so helpful. Even the room service food was delicious, which kind of shocked me. The dessert was beautiful and tasted even better. Really enjoyed my stay!

We appreciate the high quality and consistency of service that we experience every time we stay at the Davenport Grand which is 2-3 times a year for special occasions. We got an incredible deal on a room. The rooms have the highest quality bedding, towels and furniture and are always comfortable and clean. Ana at the front desk was professional and friendly even gave us a box of peanut brittle for my birthday. We especially appreciate the quality workout facility and the extra care to communicate where the add on gratuity goes to staff or hotel. Thank you for a great stay always.

The hotel is good but not great. I can tell it was renovated in the past five years because of the better materials. The staff was friendly especially the check in staff. The rooms are attached weirdly with very small bathrooms. The location is great

The bed was so comfortable. I had the best nights sleep. Event parking was $38. Really? That is gouging. The breakfast buffet was $23. I didn't try it. We had breakfast elsewhere.

Okay the hotel is beautiful absolutely stunning hanging out in that lobby hands down is like being transported back in history. The location is pretty cool. I was really excited that the Volstead act Kraft cocktail lounge or bar whatever it is was right across the street. However the other thing that's across the street is the bus station which is like other bus stations. So good and bad. Love my room except there's this weird brainwashing going on in the hotel industry that we want these pillows that sink all the way down to the bed and give us no fluff. I don't really blame the hotel because I think it's maybe a third of the hotels I stay at have the same thing. I did really like having one of those fancy robes to put on and walk around in like I was Hugh Hefner. It seem like they had a pretty extensive spa setup in the basement but I didn't take advantage of it but heard good things.

Decided to upgrade to the suite option with my partner and paid 389 dollars for our room. It was the most expensive room we have ever purchased, but felt the romantic occasion warranted it. Arrived to the room to find that it did not include a fridge. We ended up having to throw out our leftovers as we had no where to store them. We attempted to cast our tablet/phones to the TV in order to catch up on "The Hand Maids Tale," as this was an option provided by the hotel. Each attempt was met with a malfunction from the television, "error" reading, regardless of what device we used. If you want a beverage from the vending machines, this was impossible as well. Attempted to purchase a drink on 3 vending machines from 3 different floors but each machine was down. We decided to phone down to the reception in order to enquire about the fridge/television issues but were left on hold for over 30 minutes, so we ended up hanging up. Spending our time on hold was not what had planned, and wanted to spend it not worrying about the lack of services that every other budget hotels routinely provided. We recommend not upgrading to the suite option for anyone interested, as the services do NOT match the cost.

Very nice, clean hotel. It is a cashless hotel so be ready for that. There is an amenity fee but it gets you all the bottled water you want, access to gym, and upgraded WiFi. It was worth it for the water. The hotel restaurant was actually good too.

Great clean rooms, wonderful views. Crazy busy venue during wedding season tho. Good luck getting to the bar. Room service isn’t actually available despite cards in the room saying otherwise.

This is a great Hotel located in the heart of downtown Spokane. Great if you are at the convention center or want to be able to walk around the city. Across from the riverfront park. There is plenty to explore. Very clean hotel with nice rooms, The staff was friendly and made our experience great. It would be hard to find a better location.

The Davenport is a delightful Marriott property. One of the best I have stayed at in a long time. The facilities are top notch for the region. Rooms are well appointed. There’s a large gym. And serval dining options exist, including a fine dining steakhouse. As a titanium Marriott member I felt welcomed and I’ll definitely return the next time I’m in town.

This is a very beautiful hotel! It's conveniently located right across the street from the park and the falls. I stayed here with my mom and daughter and we had two king size beds with a great view of the park. I like the stylish interior and the room size is large. We walked around the downtown area around the hotel, which I would say the park area felt safe, but there were some interesting characters in the streets. It's a city, so you have to pay attention. The parking garage was easy to access. They give you a ticket to use and it's charged to your room. There's a walkway between the hotel and the parking garage. It's not easy to find the first time (lot's of one way streets), but they give you a little map to help.

Clean, spacious room. But if I’m paying almost $200/night and have the housekeeping “green light” on, I expect to have housekeeping services. Nope, not once did they refresh my room during my 3-night stay. Also was very difficult to have someone respond to the room service line - ended up calling the front desk who forwarded me back to the room service line who then finally picked up. If you just want a decent room, you’re better off saving your money and booking at the La Quinta because this place is overpriced for the services they can (or rather can’t) realistically offer.

What a fantastic hotel. Beautiful and modern deco - gorgeous entrance and beautifully decorated room. As a lifetime platinum elite member, we have had the opportunity to stay at many Marriott facilities across the globe and this one is one of the best - regardless of formal star designation. Frankly, we have stayed @ 5* designation hotels and at times, have been disappointed. The location is sublime... You can walk across the street for a wonderful run in the park (site of the 74 World Fair - which incidentally my wife attended). Convenient to many restaurants and grocery stores - walk across the bridge to visit "My Fresh Basket" and tried their crazily good cookies... The only issue we had was that the TV reception was bad...Signals were lost multiple times in a single watch...

Everything was exceptional at this hotel. I was a little surprised about the $10 per person per night amenity fee, but I felt it was justified because we had access to a hot tub, swimming pool, and free parking at other areas of town. The hotel is service dog friendly, and they even offer free bike rentals in the summer season. I love to bring my scooters, because you can scooter them all over Riverfront Park and then charge them in the hotel. Everything was immaculate, and even though the parking was another $25 a night, you won't find cheaper parking anywhere else in Spokane for overnight parking. Altogether, it was a wonderful experience. Also, it's a great place to stay when you're seeing a concert in Spokane.

Overall a FANTASTIC hotel and I would stay here again in a heartbeat! The staff is friendly, the rooms are temperature controlled, secure, and clean! This is by no means a bad hotel, but there were a few things keeping me from giving it 5 stars. These are not bad things at all but the hotel would feel more luxurious with these small attention to detail items! - Bathrooms had 1 ply toilet paper. I feel like a really nice hotel should have better quality tp. - Base boards were not dusted and actually seemed to have caked on dust (specifically in the bathroom) -Finger prints on surfaces like bathroom doors / walls, wall sconces, etc. just weird places. Again, this is a good place to stay, I just feel that amending the above things would take it from good to great!

Love this hotel!!! Friendly service, beautiful, clean hotel. Love the location, just across from the river. Plenty of lighting in the rooms, which is usually my complaint in other hotel rooms. Large rooms with plenty of storage for clothing. Bathrooms had plenty of counter space with space under the counter as well. They offer all the free water you want during your stay. I had an issue during my stay and Taylor went above and beyond to rectify the situation. Will definitely stay here again!

Always love staying here (4+ times). Staff is friendly, attentive, and helpful. Rooms are well kept and very clean, big thanks to the housekeeping staff who are always cheerfully smiling and eager to help. During my stays, I've made specific requests that are always fulfilled quickly and happily. We look forward to our next visit.

My hotel room might as well have been a honeymoon sweet if only I had the honey. So spacious, beautiful and amazing views. Guys at the bar downstairs we’re so attentive and super friendly even with a busy crowd. The entire place was just pure bliss. Thank you all for making my stay wonderful. I’ll be back Zippy

I'm rating the Davenport Grand 5 stars because, well, it's a five star hotel! Absolutely gorgeous rooms with a great view of the Spokane River and "Radio Flyer" Park! Rooms are spacious with a HUGE comfy bed and a walk in shower! I wish there was a free continental breakfast, but there sadly isn't! Aside from that amazing Hotel!

Fantastic! Staff was warm, welcoming, and friendly. Rooms are huge. Food was very good. Everyone in our very large party had a wonderful stay. Gym was fine - not as well-equipped as others, and offerings on the telly we're limited, but everything else was fantastic!

I'm a big fan of the Davenport Grand. I love the large, modern rooms, many with views of the Spokane River and Riverfront Park. I love having the Park, with all its beautiful walking trails, right across the street, as is the Opera House and Event Center. So much to do, just steps from the hotel lobby! The lobby bar is super welcoming and comfortable with a great selection of festive beverages and delicious food, from small bites to full meals. And, it's great for sports fans as the several large screen TVs offer a selection of events of interest. Enjoy!

We really enjoyed our experience! The view of downtown was beautiful. The hotel bar’s drink are absolutely amazing and the food there is delicious. Our room was spacious, clean, modern design. No mini fridge or microwave but still great. The showers was super cool and big. Staff was friendly and eager to help. Vale was well worth the little up charge. The location is PERFECT. Close to bars, restaurants, and the river. Highly recommend!!!
