The park it's self is very nice. However, avoid the dog park. It's better to walk your around the grounds instead. People are rude and don't have any control over their dogs. Also why would you take a female that is in heat to play with other males that aren't fixed. 🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️

Nice trails. Lots of options to explore or take an easy walk. Very peaceful. There's a large playground structure for the kids as well to get some energy out.

Great mix of shade and sun. There's an abundant amoung of tables for picnicking, including several lined up for large groups. We use the charcoal BBQs all the time, just bring your own pumice, stone to clean it, and some charcoal, and you're good to go. The washrooms are surprisingly clean and don't smell to high heavens. If you're looking for a great place to hang out with the family for the day, this is it!! But, remember, this is a nature park, you need to make your own adventure and fun.

We had a very nice off leash walk in the grand space where the pool used to be. Always one of my childhood favs.. picnic area for days. Dog parks in the back. (We never go in though)

It's a perfect place to unwind and have a picnic, very quiet and nice to be close to nature.I love coming here especially when everything is close there is no place to compare it with.It has biking trails and huge areas to walk and jog, its very close to my place....Its very nice to explore the area...it would be nice if there is water fountain and splash pad,it is worth visiting..

Picnic areas, walking trails, different size dog parks and at least portable washroom facilities. Great updates made in the park for a nicer look.

I really enjoyed this place and have for years. Never that busy and lots of shade and open space. A great little retreat nestled in the middle of the city. The only reason I didn't give it a 5 star rating is because the portable toilet was gross and it was obvious it hadn't been cleaned for some time. Since the regular washrooms were closed (and for good reason), they should at least maintain this and keep it as clean as possible.

Nice Park The loop, deepest in, is closed off and mostly neglected. That's a shame. There used to be a large public swimming pool here. That's gone now too. That's a shame. The main loop has been all repaved. That's nice. I never used the washroom so I can't report if those are open or the condition. We just hiked around.

I just love this place and go there often for my lunch break. But I was so disappointed to see that they blocked off the back picnic areas to cars with a guardrail as it was so nice to park in the shade and enjoy the park. I do not see any logical reason for this and feel it was a waist of money and not well thought out

My daughter went to a nature retreat for special needs. It was a great location for walks. There is a park available for kids as well. The park is relatively new 15-20 years old. Picnic tables are available too. Washrooms are available during summer time.

Great new pavement in the entrance and bbq area! Very nice for walking. Downside right now is that the playground is is currently closed as The YMCA are running day camps there during the week. Still a nice walk though!

A lovely getaway location in the middle of the city. There is enough parking space for the visitors, a nice playground, a dog play area and a picnic pavilion. The hiking path isn't that long but satisfactory. During winter months, the other side of the park is closed to vehicle traffic and walkways aren't maintained which is an extra advantage for kids.

A beautiful large park. I actually prefer it in winter. Sections of it are maintained with grassy or shaded picnic areas, playground, dog park. Parking is plentiful but there are no amenities.

I never knew this place was here till 15 years ago when performance Chrysler had a picnic to meet the team and test drive then it was called I pretty sure a different name then pretty well for got about it and moved away for till recently so when the huge snow storm hit I went looking where my daughter (dog) could play with out salted ground and no to big of snow banks and we drove around to find such a place and I remembered about here and I thought there was a out door pool any way it was no good for my daughter being very small (shi-zue) age 14 where we were using some one or more put a white fluffy material over the who 100×100 feet place and did some clean up and then rain and wind covered my area I cleaned at Lancaster Park so a person told me to take a look here and no pool it gas a big area to play in and the new to my knowledge a drive or better walk around loop and better than where the dog park is way down a steep hill so the loop is a great place to walk

Very nice park. The main loop is freshly paved so it's nice for the little ones to ride, roll, or skate. The trees are looking lovely. It's not busy generally, and the charcoal BBQs are fun. My daughter says the playground is a little boring (but she really likes Monkey bars). Tennis and pickle ball (i think) courts. What more could you ask for?

Nice little park. Lots of people with their dogs off leash yet not in the dog park area. Near rail lines and didn't really see any trails. Had a nice playground though.

This park is very big and that's why more maintenance is needed for it, such dirty water puddles remain there constantly in every season of the year.

This is my favourite off leash dog park. There are others that are closer to my home but I go the extra way to go to this one. It's hard to find a place to socialize little dogs so this is perfect for my little 4 pound yorkie. Lots of small dogs and also a larger dog area. Beautiful place to have a picnic and to hike on the trails.

Great place during the non-winter months. It's sad there is no local dog park during the winter with separate parks for small and large dogs. My poor pup got attacked by a big dog at the other St Catharines location. I wish they would make two separate parts in the Catharines Street park. It would be nice to have a safe dog park in the winter for the small dogs too.
