Could be so so so much better, the food was well seasoned and well presented but they were cheap on the proteins in the food for the price you pay. Ordered a lobster Mac and cheese priced at $36 and came in a very small plate and about 5 small chunks of lobster, also order a seafood pasta (said that it had scallops in the menu well mines was missing the scallops)that came with some great tasting 3 piece of shrimp 😑. My bill was a little over than $120 left $40 tip and the server was complaining about the tip to his co worker😂. The restaurant is located in a beautiful area and the drinks selections is good. Just gotta work on the food and the severs. Will visit again see if it gets better.

This is a great spot with a prime view of the marina. Food, however was average. I ordered lobster bisque and sautéed soft shell crab on a roll with sweet potato fries. The lobster bisque was lukewarm when it arrived at the table. It was too thick, though not gloppy. It didn’t have a lot of flavor. The soft shell crab was a decent size, but not for the price they charged ($18). There should have been 1.5 crabs at least or charge me $24 and give me two. I think that would have been fair. 1.5 of my stars go to the location and vibe of the surroundings. Food 2/10 Service 9/10 Cleanliness 10/10

Best crab cakes in the northeast!!! Lump crab with great sauce. The New England style steamed clams and buttered lobster roll are also great. Crab stuffed lobster for a special occasion! Amazing views. Live music a lot of the time. Friendly staff - work off your meal with a stroll on the “boardwalk” looking at the gorgeous sailboats.

Meh, what can I say about this place. It probably does well just because of location. They had a Miami Vice blended drink on the menu, but bartender was too lazy cause they only have one blender- which is odd cause I made them all the time as a bartender using just one blender. Then they didn't have the mojito that was on their (paper) menu. So really these could be removed. The food tasted good, but the presentation was boring and low skilled. The crab chowder didn't have any crab in it and no noticable potatoes. The lobster bisque was great. The Crab Shell dish was good. The broccoli was still super crunchy and had no seasoning or butter at all, just steamed and bland. The onion rings could have been fried longer . The served was great! Older Latino lady. It is fine for a tourist place because of location, but I would not go again if I lived there.

Great spot for happy hour and fried seafood with water front views! Parking is easy and there are always tables outside in the shade or out in the sun. Highly recommend sitting outside if you can - the inside felt old and outdated and bathrooms were not clean.

My chicken penne was the best tasting penne I ever had. Their Cole slaw was also excellent, and made with a slight taste of horseradish which made it super delicious! Very good service as well.

Nice views. My food was okay. I ordered their crab shell pasta. It comes with shrimp, small pieces of lobster, 2-3 small pieces of scallops and supposedly crab meat but I didn’t see any crab meat in the pasta. The pasta was very greasy as well. The 3-rum punch I had was tasty. My partner ordered a medium well steak but it was cooked well done.

My family and I have been coming here since it first opened, oh gosh I believe in the early 2000's if not late late 90's, for many an occasion but more recently, it's our go to stop a must have, no matter the time of day, after we have gone to the city (New York, Long Island, even Jersey) and anyone in the family that didn't make the trip, always request to be brought back a lobster potpie, which are to die for!!! Everything I ever get taste great, no matter what it is!!! Lately,I've been stuck on the "Crab Shell", which is there name sake signature dish of a simple seafood pasta that is sssooo delectable They always have "specials of the day" with at least 4-6 options, the last 3 almost always being some sort of "fried" whatever(fish, shrimp, etc.). The staff is always ssssooo nice and very helpful. There's lots of outdoor seating as well as a cozy-ish seaside home feel on the interior. It's right on the water and right off the highway. 👌🏽👌🏽👌🏽 ALL ACROSS THE BOARD. I should mention it's more on the $$ side.

I have been going to the crab shell since the 1990s when I lived closer to the restaurant. For Labor day weekend I met friends for lunch. We had a nice meal inside the restaurant and decided to later sit outside for a bit. The bartender was lovely. My friends wanted to order another drink. We were rudely told by the Manager Terry that we could not take a table unless we were going to order more food. We told him we had just eaten and wanted to order beverages. He was very nasty to us and my friend ordered additional food so we all could spend more time together. I was shocked at the lack of customer service and kindness. We had spent upwards of $150.00 in the restaurant and yet people coming in with their dogs were welcomed at tables. I will say the Server Ben was very gracious and kind and provided great service. We appreciated him. Very nice young man. Later we spoke with the owner who was also very nice. The wait staff should not have to apologize for the behavior of a Manager. I have always loved the Crab Shell and will not let a crabby manager ruin it. Still a good place, but they may want to reevaluate who represents them to the public.

The main draw here is having drinks right on the water side. Despite the buildup in this area, it's still one of the few. That being said, I'd never come here for the food. Drinks are on here though expect nothing fancy. And by "fancy" I include sangria. No, they're best for a cold beer and a T&T. Think Jupiter beach but with Manhattan prices. The crowd is eclectic and if the wind catches it just right, can be interesting. Overall, yeah, I'd come back. Though, not every weekend...

My sister and I had gone to the Sound on Sound music festival a couple weekends ago and decided to stop by on our way to the airport. It did not disappoint one bit. I had a lobster roll (which was divine) and sweet potato fries (perfectly crisp on the outside and deliciously fluffy on the inside). We shared a sautéed crab cake and some cocktail shrimp - they both absolutely slapped. So good. Highly recommend!

Went here during my trip to Stamford the setting was beautiful and on the water, the food was very delicious and came out in a timely manner, however the service was not that great at all our waitress took our order and the next time we saw her she was giving us the check. I had to get out of my seat and try to find an employee to get a drink and once more to get our check. She never came back and asked how our food was or asked if we needed re fills. Mediocre experience here.

The wait staff is really friendly and quick to take care of you. I like the atmosphere since it is so close to the water. The food is good but the menu is limited. When you want more than they have to offer it can be disappointing but it's good overall.

The food was cooked to perfection! No rubbery or bland tasting seafood here. It's a bit expensive but well worth the price. For two appetizers, two entrees, two cocktails, club soda, and a dessert the bill came out to about a $130 pre tip just to give you and idea. I definitely would recommend coming here not only because of the great food but also because of the great ambiance. The outdoor music bar area next to the Waterfront just set a great place to relax and socialize. My only criticism of the place would have to be the fact that we were told that the bar doesn't actually have a drink menu. We were skeptical that any of these drinks would be good but shouting out random cocktail names, we were served with passable drinks. If you expect that the drinks would be served in nice glasses, you shouldn't. The drinks will be served to you in regular soda glasses but they do taste just fine.

My comment goes to the food 🍱. I sat at the Bar. Fresh, delicious 😋, and the drinks 🍹 was great . The female Bar Tender seemed very distracted on her phone 📞 and didn’t seem like I was a bother. Everything else, was good

Went here for my big BDay outing. Wasn't necessarily disappointed but the place didn't excite either. Service was good, lobster was ok. Not a place od recommend for lobster. Thays for sure. French fries were nice and crisp though!

I finally got to the crab shell after so many years for the last day of the season. It was a perfect day with all my friends. Stu was great at the bar. Lobster roll was delicious. So mad I didn't go all summer.
