Overall, the staff were very pleasant. Unfortunately, the children being allowed to run riot meant two nights if no sleep. When children are in rooms unsupervised, then this is inevitable. Given the Hotels staff threats to evict if it continued fell in deaf ears, and not a lot they can do if the Hotel policy is to allow large family groups of children to stay in rooms unsupervised. The breakfast is very basic, very little choice. One type of sausage, one type of egg, no veg or vegan alternative. Lots of cheap cereal, very cheap orange or apple juice and probably the worst coffee I have had for a very long time. The room was OK. Bins hadn't been emptied from the previous guest, the spare towels had been used and refolded, the bed was old and uncomfortable. The bathroom door didn't fit, and jammed, withe the lock inside falling off. The interconnected door was loose and banging all night, and the very bright emergency green light above the entrance meant it was never dark enough to relax. Not a place I would recommend or stay in again,. Given the price, I expected a much higher quality.

The room was clean. The bed was really comfortable. The staff were polite and friendly. Breakfast on Sunday was good and started at 6:30am which as I was in Stoke on a working visit, I needed an early start. There's a Harvester next door which was great for the evening meal as the Hotel doesn't offer evening catering.

Very functional, rooms were fine for what you need on a work trip and breakfast was fine. Sausages looked a bit dead but tasted pretty good. Had to interact with the reception to get a VAT receipt and they were really helpful and friendly. Would stay here again if visiting Stoke

We stayed the night before going to Alton Towers. Location is really good for that. As we arrived in the afternoon we visited Trentham shopping village and garden centre, well worth it. There was an issue with the room we had booked but this was resolved quickly and politely. Good customer service.

I didn't stay here but met up with family for a' pre-graduation' chat over coffee. The reception staff were helpful and the catering staff were also kind in offering me complimentary coffee as I was visiting residents of the hotel. They had already set up a 'Selfie stand' and we made use of it! A nice touch!

Having just left the hotel all.i can say everything was 1st class . We visited for my grandsons 5th birthday. 22nd to 24th july. Trip to Alton Towers. On arriving my daughter explained that her son is severely autistic. Laura on the desk couldn't do enough . Even offering to open the conference room for breakfast if things got too much for him. This put us at ease as in previous places we've had very bad experiences. Thank you it meant a lot. We had rooms nxt door to 1 another . 201+ 202 with joining doors. Perfect. Everything was spotless ,bedrooms ,reception ,food area. Breakfast was perfect. Couldn't have been better. Staff so polite, friendly + very helpful. If ever we are in the area again this would be our 1st port of call. Would certainly recommend.. The weather was horrendous 😫 but that didn't stop us. Have signed up.for the rewards app. Thank you for a stress less weekend. Great price also. 👍.

Room 31 Shower leaked. Drips all night. Air conditioning didn't work. Extractor fan didn't work. Lamps were broken. Mould on tiles in shower. Bed was comfortable though and sheets and towels were clean. Staff v. Friendly. Breakfast was great. Just not up to usual Holiday Inn Express standard.

We had a fabulous stay, the staff were exceptional. Dylan, Isindie, Jolenta and Samir were all very warm, wonderful, friendly and went out of their way to ensure that we had a fantastic time. We had the best ever experience for the two nights we were there, we all wished we were staying longer!!! Highly recommend this hotel and its wonderful staff! Top marks guys and I hope you got the tip we left.

Came here for a trip to Alton towers, it's a nice location with a harvester next door. The hotel itself is alright, not the best. The rooms are good in size, the bathroom locks weren't working! The bed is ok, breakfast is ok too. Service is quick!

It was hard to find. The staff could care less about anything. It was by far the worst hotel we stayed at. We stayed one night but would not suggest it to anyone. The hotel itself was OK it was the I don't give a darn attitude of nearly all the staff that ruined the stay for us.

Fantastic staff and great experience! We got free parking and late checkout till 2pm as we were holiday inn members (free to join)! The room was clean and comfortable. We stayed in a standard double. The breakfast lovely and a great touch that we are able to bring up to our room- as a lot of other hotels are so fussy about that. Honestly the staff were so friendly it made it great. Only slightly negative was the water pressure but that wasn’t a huge deal, as main thing for me is that bathroom was clean and a good size. Will definitely return when we are going Alton towers next. Again to mention the staff- the front desk staff look so happy to be there. Which is a huge change to usual reception at other places who look miserable. They were always laughing and happy to help. Great atmosphere :)

Really really impressed. Being disabled in a wheelchair is not always the easiest in hotels. This Hotel has a disabled room with full accessibility. Room was spotless. Young lady on the reception called Summer was one of the nicest people we have ever dealt with in a hotel whatever you are paying her, she's deserves double.

Standard format in the budget format of the Holiday Inn group. Reasonable price for our two night stay, but like many Express hotels, you will need to pay for parking, which will increase your nighty price. You can find the prices on the individual hotels Web page. The room rate includes breakfast, which is basic but still adequate. You can buy food at other times from a limited range. Drink and snacks are available. Ideally located just off the A50 for Stoke and the football stadium.

The car park is extra cost. (pay machine on entry to hotel reception) gets busy later on! We got the last space at 7pm. Reception check in was fast with a friendly but professional staff member. A small lounge area and bar if you fancy a drink. Free ice from the machine and snacks for sale also. Our room was fine, but nothing extra. The air conditioning wasn't great, I'm not even sure it was working, so I turned it off and opened the window. The toilet and shower was clean, as were the beds and bedding. Two things that let it down. 1 was the lighting, quite dark in the room. 2, We could hear our neighbours in the room next door, chatting and could hear the TV. Thankfully they went to be early :) Breakfast was fine, again, friendly staff. It was just ok, but loved the coffee machine :) Would we stay again, maybe not, unless we didn't have another option.

I personally prefer another week named brand, however this was closer to where we needed to be.. the rooms were nicely done but drawing the curtains at night, and they feel down. The breakfast in the morn was not up to scratch... there was plenty of cold choice but if you wanted a fry up... good luck with that... the sausages were burnt, the bacon like cardboard it was so dry, and crispy fried eggs... not my cup of tea.. however... the staff were amazing and deserve recognition.

Staff are amazing and absolutely graft. Everyone was delightful. Breakfast is a great selection of well cooked food as well as pancakes and pastries. Brew facilities on the room The heating isn't strong in the room but it's a small details really. Would stay again. Shout out to Laura and Steve who were wonderful. The lady who refills all the breakfast was hussling as well but didn't get her name. Would recommend

Beware of bed bugs - stayed for one night and came back with bites and a severe reaction. Also shower tray did not drain so taking a shower was a rather unpleasant experience. in short - best to avoid if you do not want bed bugs sharing your room!

Standard holiday inn express, nothing to be wowed about, but nice clean basic room, good toiletries provided, good breakfast in the morning serving warm croissants! I would stay again if I was travelling near by. Plenty of parking and harvester handy next door. Only let down was a small mini fridge in room would be good, although the hotel staff did say they can help me store anything in a fridge.

The hotel is conveniently located next to the M6 and the bet365 Stadium. Although there are plenty of parking spaces on site, there is a £5 charge per night. Also, be careful not to park in the car park outside Harvester, as it is managed by another car park operator. The area was quite peaceful, away from the hustle and bustle of the town centre. The check-in and check-out process was quick and easy, and the staffs were friendly and helpful. The room was spacious, clean and comfortable for us. The mattress was just right for us. However, the tog of the duvet was a bit too high for this time of the year. The window could only be opened a slit, so the air-conditioning unit had to be turned on all night. The WiFi was free, fast and reliable throughout my stay. The shower was powerful and hot water was plentiful. The breakfast buffet was included in the price and it had a good variety of hot and cold options, such as scrambled eggs, beans, bacon, sausages, croissants, cereals, fruit and yogurt. The coffee was a bit too bitter for our liking but there were speciality teas available, as well as orange and apple juice and water. Gluten-free option was available too. However, it was a bit disappointing that the hotel does not offer evening meals 7 days a week. But that won't be a problem to some, as Harvester is located next to the hotel. The hotel is a good base for exploring the area, as it is close to Alton Towers, Trentham Gardens, Waterworld and The Potteries Museum & Art Gallery. Overall, we enjoyed our stay would recommend it to anyone looking for a comfortable and affordable hotel in the area.

Cleanliness of room was good, not exceptional. Decent room space. Comfortable bed. Amazing shower. Breakfast options were extensive, but all were cooked well and enjoyed by the whole family, whether it was the continental breakfast or the hot English style breakfast. Only criticism was we had asked for an adjoining 'Jack n Jill' bedrooms. Which we advised they had, however the reality was rooms next to each other.

The hotel was in a great place just off the M6 jnc 15. Couple of thing's that I didn't like. The double bed (if thats what you can call it) was not a double bed. More like a single with abit added on. Also the breakfast was not really up to standard. The bacon was hard and very salty and they never had fried eggs only scrambled. The tea cups are very small which meant you have to go up 2/3 times to keep on refilling it. Staff though we're very friendly and helpful. Would I stay here again? No, next time I'm afraid I will go back to using Premier Inn's.

A great stay! We arrived at 1.30am and we're met with such a warm welcome. Steve was super helpful and knowledagble about the hotel and the surrounding area. Was lovely to be greeted like that after such a long drive. Thank you Steve and Team! 5 stars.

Stayed here for a week as I was working in the area. Very comfortable room, pleasant and helpful staff and clean hotel. Thought charging £5 a night for parking was a bit excessive. Food was good though menu was a bit boring, avoided the sausages at breakfast as they didn’t look very appetising

Loved the experience there quaint rooms. Housekeeping staff are on point. Breakfast is nice and just a warm feeling to the place. Only thing I can think of is the toilet papers abit cheap and my finger went where it shouldn't have. Other than that loved it from a Welsh person

Great hotel for my overnight work stay Very clean , comfortable bed, good free breakfast, polite friendly staff. Bar and food available. New to me was the £5 overnight fee for parking but given it's usually a good price to stay with breakfast thrown in its usually a good deal, highly recommended

The staff were very friendly but that's about it. The car park was £10 for the night to start off with. When I got in the room, it was absolutely freezing and remained so after several hours with the heating on maximum. It was through an air vent and no heat seemed to be coming out at all. After a while trying to do some work, I decided to give in and just go to bed to try warm up a bit. The bathroom was okay but nothing special. The breakfast in the morning was not great, with dry bacon and sausages which were not nice at all. I regularly travel to the area on business but won't be staying at this hotel again.

A decent budget hotel that was clean and had a good breakfast (included in our room rate). The staff were all lovely. Great location to go to Alton Towers. We had a family room which was smaller than expected and I'm glad we were only staying for one night as it would have been uncomfortable for longer.

Perfect location for Alton Towers about 20 minutes away. Good breakfast to start the day. Room is good for 3 of us. Plenty of hot water for showers. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Stayed here before and will probably stay here again.

Reasonable hotel. Beds are hard and slightly concave, pillows are much too hard and thick for comfort. Duvet sounds like a crisp packet and rustle when anyone moves. The breakfast has various options but the cooked breakfast is very poor - only bacon and sausage, so very dry without egg or beans. The coffee is undrinkable, so disgusting!

Stayed at the Holiday Inn express on the 11th August. After a long drive on a very hot day with no air conditioning in the car. Knackered and half cooked we checked in at 11pm. The staff were amazing!!!!!!!!!! Wish I had asked their names, was that tired I forgot unfortunately. These guys were so pleasant and friendly they deserve a medal. Both Bartenders/ check in guys were fantastic. Issued our keys in minutes the offered the whole family a pint of iced water. Doesn't sound like much but I can't tell you how much we appreciated it!!!!!! The place was clean, very comfortable, breakfast was good. Would give this place 10 out of 5 if I could. Thank you to you guys for your hospitality again!!!!!!

The hotel was OK clean and comfortable. Its not the greatest hotel I have stopped in but certainly not the worst. It serves a purpose for an overnight stay but I would not want to stop at this hotel any longer than a 1 or 2 night stay. The best part of my stay was the buffet breakfast served in the morning. I would give the breakfast 4 stars ⭐ a good choice of both full English and continental. All food was hot and very nice with a great flavoured sausages that they were serving. I paid £120.00 for my one night stay but this was Saturday which is normally more expensive than other nights of the week. I would say that it's not worth paying £120.00 for this kind of room and hotel. I would be looking at spending around £80.00 normally for this grade of hotel and room. Kind regards Jonathan Ratcliff
