One of the tastiest meals we have had in a long time. After moving here from California (and Texas), it's been difficult finding Mexican food with flavor. Boy, did this have flavor!

I love Cactus, mainly because they have amazing mocktails. The food is yummy as well. That ceviche was on point. Great place to connect with friends and break bread together. Been going for a few years now every so often.

There’s usually a wait, so if you can do call ahead seating on the Yelp app, which will save you a lot of time. The food is always good and the service is exceptional. Kaitlyn is really good at what she does and is super sweet I got the tacos, à la carte and salad and she suggested I get it in a meal and that would save me money. I’m always up to saving money and getting what I wanted. Thank you cactus for a wonderful experience. Keep up the great work.

We came for brunch and everything we tried was fabulous. I loved the Peach Bellini Margarita drink I had and my fiance enjoyed his Moscow Mule with the housemade ginger beer! My breakfast enchiladas are one of the best dishes I've enjoyed lately, I added the chorizo and it really elevated the whole plate. My fiance had the Ancho Chicken Tacos and his was really good as well. Others at our table enjoyed the Brisket Burrita and the Chorizo Skillet Scramble. For dessert we shared the Key Lime Pie. Overall a great time, fantastic service, and the food came out quick even though they were rather busy. We will definitely be making this a regular spot for brunch!

Great food! I would definitely go back and eat there again. The services is good too. This is what my wife ordered and she liked it too. Sonoran Spa Chicken $18 Grilled chicken breast and portobello mushroom, sautéed spinach, vegetable escabeche, cotija cheese, pepitas, sunshine mojo and lime chimichurri.

Great craft cocktails! We sat at the bar where we could watch the bartender make our drinks. She was very personable, let us choose the. Talked about the drinks. We got the Austin Guacamole. It was good, a lot going on. Many different flavor profiles. I really can’t so enough about the bartenders though.

So everytime we have attempted to go to Cactus, we are met with dissapointments! The wait times have either been too long or the place is full so I got the idea that they must be feeding all Tacoma inhabitants🤪 Well today I showed up and lo and behold, not only did we get a table but the place was quite Empty to my surprise. We had the pleasure of getting a good waiter " Christine" she was friendly and helpful and kept checking up on us. We decided to see what the hype was and explore the Menu. My pallate is quite adventurous and am all about the flavors. For starters we ordered Peruvian Prawn scallop ceviche , The Austin style Guacamole and Crab 🫔 tamales. The meals came pretty Quick and Let me put it this way, the pairings on the Ceviche, the layers of the various ingredients ,used was just divinely so good. 👏 Now am used to the traditional Guacamole but Cactus had something else planned. Their 3 layers Guacamole with Queso, salsa, Chipotle peppers was so Good!! And a must try. The Crab Tamale has to be the most creative way to serve tamale that I have seen on my foodie adventures. There was Crab, then a 🫔 tamale ontop of sweet corn, sherry tomatillo cream sauce, avocado, mixed baby heirloom tomatoes, lemon vinaigrette, micro arugula. It was absolutely delish. The combination of flavors and texture was everything. We did not just have a meal but a Journey into the heart of the chef's who prepped this meals. For desert we had the Banana dulce with coconut ice cream and the manager surprised us with a complimentary Flan as well . ***So overall we got great service and a wonderful meal experience *** ****Thank you Cactus ****

This was an amazing restaurant the ambience in this place was breathtaking the lighting the art the service and then the food as the topping because it was certainly delightful the drinks are amazing as well I will definitely be back it was my birthday and I truly enjoyed myself.

Friendly and attentive service. Great food that tastes fresh with housemade ingredients, sauces and tortillas. The manager delighted us with a complementary flan. We dined on the patio during weekend brunch hours.

Gets really busy around dinner time. Call ahead for wait time. Decided to come back when it was less busy. Very good service and food. I like that they have a seasonal menu. The Chile relleno is huge. I feel we paid a fair price for the quality and amount of food. It’s worth checking out and worth it for me to come back for the food. I also tried the green Chile enchiladas that was very flavorful and delicious.

This is our first time visiting and we will definitely be visiting again! The outdoor seating made it easier for kids to focus as they were eating and allowed us to have a calmer atmosphere. Our server was incredibly understanding to our need to not have dairy or gluten within our food. They double checked the ingredients prior to placing our order. I felt very seen and comfortable. Their selection of non-alcoholic drinks was very exciting for me as well! Picture is of their non alcoholic Mexican lemonade.

Visited Cactus Mexican restaurant in Proctor today for lunch. Staff were friendly and informative. Ordered something new the Prawn fajitas which were outstanding. If you like hot sauce they have a habanero hot sauce that you have to ask for if you’re like me and hot sauce can never be hot enough. It is warm for me and really hot for others. Give it a try next time.

Great place for dinner time either with family or friends. Vibes are very lively especially when it came to nighttime, and also it was busy, so I suggest making a reservation. Service was friendly and fast. I appreciate how often the servers came by to check on our table to see how we're doing. 🙏 The food was delicious and flavorful.

The food and drinks were awesome. I'm not sure why this is the 1st time I've been here. My wife and i came for lunch. We will definitelybe revisitingthis restaurant. .

The food, drinks, and service were all incredible. The smoked chicken quesadilla and tomato chipotle bisque together was the perfect combination. I can’t wait to come back and try the brunch menu!

This was my husband and I’s first time at this restaurant and we had such a great experience! The staff was super friendly and food was absolutely delicious! We will definitely come again :)

Tried twice and both times were satisfying. The salad was fresh and shrimp was well marinated. Fajita had a variety of sides to mix with and nacho and cheese deep was delicious as well. Nice place for a cocktail and Mexican food!

Enjoyed a girls' night at Cactus Southwest Kitchen & Bar and had an absolutely fabulous time. The atmosphere was fantastic, and the service was top-notch. I opted for the Cotija Chicken, and the flavor was simply amazing! Despite not drinking alcohol, the bartender suggested trying the alcohol free "Perfect Prickly Pear," and it turned out to be both fancy and delicious!

Freshest, Tastiest Mexican food around. Everything is made fresh. I've never had food taste so Good, no matter what you order 😋

I come here often for a drink after work & a snack. Every time I have sat in the bar I have received great service. Tyler (bartender) served me three times and remembered my drink after the first day. Hibiscus Chi Chi with extra coconut. So good!! The food is also very good. I loved the Austin-style guacamole. Definitely recommend this place overall.

How have we not been here before?! My new favorite Mexican place. Great mocktails, food and service. It's always busy so plan ahead, get on the waiting list, or make a reservation (assuming they take those). Super fun date night spot. Parking can be a bit of a challenge.

Fast service, friendly staff, and outstanding menu. I ordered a local WA red blend and seafood enchiladas. It was quite satisfying and I highly recommend. Enjoy!

I usually avoid chain restaurants but this is one I will not, and it's a local chain so that really doesn't count here. This is a high class Mexican southwestern food place. On this visit we were booked for another restaurant. We had a couple drinks, which were well made and the guacamole dip which was awesome 👍 be back for dinner soon
