Had a really fun time meeting up with family in the Ballroom. Enjoyed some good Jazz and has a few of their homemade beer. This a really fun place with lots of things to do.

This is definitely one of the most interesting McMenamins I have ever been to. They did an amazing job restoring the building to its original beauty. The ballroom tour is definitely worth it, it only takes a few minutes, but they'll give you a history of the building and and talk about the painstaking restoration they did in order to keep the building as original as possible. All of the new art that they added pays tribute to the history of the building and the location. Everyone there seemed very enthusiastic about working there and seem very proud that they're able to be part of this amazing location.

Absolutely love this place. It has three floors of bars , rooms and features a main stage music venue located in the old dance hall. This classic Doric building was saved from the wrecking ball by the current owners. It’s been restored to its former grandeur and beyond. Completely exceeded my expectations when I first visited the space. I would highly recommend taking yourself and your fav to this jewel of a venue. Have a drink in the tiki bar to start.

Bella was wonderful! We were in a little bit of a hurry so we let her know and she served us so quick! We were able to relax and enjoy our food and time there. The food was great! Tots and Beer is always good here! The burgers were juicy and delicious.Thanks again Bella

Very beautiful interior. The staff was very polite and helpful. The food was amazing! I got a simple cheesesteak... one of the best I've had in a long time. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone.

I really enjoy this place. I've been here several times and it's such a cool building with lots to explore. I love the real wood fireplace in the pub and the service is always great 👍🏽 Lacey was our last server if you can ask to be sat in her section.

Food was delicious. My husband devoured his Shrimp 🍤 and Grits and my burger was perfect! Oh man, let’s not forget about the TOTS, super crunchy and even better when dipped in their house ranch. Beautiful atmosphere. Chill too.

I didn’t stay at the hotel, but I ate at the pub. The food was amazing, and our waiter Andre was super attentive and helpful. JB’s Deluxe Burger was amazing. They have RC products, which you don’t usually see. Overall a great experience. Interior is beautiful.

We stopped in on our way to Seattle to have our passports stamped and so glad we did. The place was just fantastic, the atmosphere was fantastic as is most of McMenamins . The food is always great and the beer even better (Terminator stout) we took the tour and found the hidden room. We will definitely have to go back.

Wonderfully fun good evening out to dinner w friends. Classy, old style Tacoma building that is indeed a stately old club. Very good food, service w good personality, busy, but efficient service. Just great all around. We live in Tacoma, so I am addressing the restaurant service/ambiance only.

Skip on this place (At least for dining). Cool ambiance, but that's where the complements end. Best way to describe the pub... Overpriced, meh. There are several neighboring establishments. I'd suggest spending money elsewhere for a meal.

Stopped in for brunch and it was nearly perfect. Our server was great. The food was great. The atmosphere was very McMenamins but also super chill as we stopped in and a slower week day.

Went there once so I can't say too much. but I had "The Dungeon" burger it had mushrooms with some sort of mushroom sauce on it. It was absolutely delicious. The beer was decent as well, I had some sort of Irish Stout that was on the lighter side and it was enjoyable. Decent price too. Came out to about $42 after tax and tip for the burger and 2 beers. Nice place.

We had a birthday dinner reservation in the pub but we got there a couple of hours early and started at the bottom of the building and worked our way up. Each bar or hangout space each had its own theme and menu and drink options. The space is eclectic and beautiful in a chaotic throwback kind of way. We had a wonderful celebration!

Super fun. There is definitely something for everyone! Get a passport and start an adventure or just wander around and enjoy the atmosphere. Five different bars in one location - each with a different vibe! I had the Hawaii Five-0 burger and a hurricane down in the tiki bar. Had a cherry bomb in the secret bar. Just a coke in the Spanish bar... Didn't stay at the hotel, but the rooms sound fun and interesting. The Spanish Ballroom seems like a great place to catch show - comedy, tribute band, jazz or retro dance party! Cool old building. Nice views. Lots of stairs - its five stories! But they do have an elevator.

Spanish Bar - Terrible table service - food was cold - out of 9 food orders, only one was correct. Disappointing & expensive way to celebrate something special. This review is only for the Spanish Bar.

Really disappointing experience. Took my husband there for Father's Day and we waited for over an hour without getting our food. My 4 year old was losing it. The waiter checked in on us once to say it was another 10 minutes tops, but 20 minutes after that we gave up and cashed out our drinks and left. I definitely heard complaints from other tables around me as well. Kind of ruined Father's Day for us.

Amazing food and drinks. Wait staff were prompt, friendly, and helpful. I had the shrimp and grits and it was the best I ever had. The food, drinks, and serviceare worth the money. I didn't stay in the hotel but the decor is out of this world.

I really really love all that this company does, and the Elks is world-class 👏! So many fascia to gander at, items everywhere and stores of history in every corner. Food is always amazing and drinks well made. 😋

The Grit City Shrimp by itself is worth the visit. I did a pub crawl with a group of friends. We went to all of the bars in there, including the Vault. The Tiki Lounge and Elk Pub were the highlights for me.

We did have to wait 30 minutes on a Friday night, but it was worth it. We got a nice booth with view and it was relatively quite. I tried two cocktails which were refreshing. Aztec salad was amazing and Jr’s jumbo delux and Grit city shrimp were flavorful. (Forgot to take pictures..) the service was quite slow but understandable considering it was Friday.

Everything was wonderful. This was a quick visit just to check things out. We did not have a chance to grab a bite to eat off the main menu. However, the appetizers were perfect. Cooked and seasoned very well. We will be back again!

This place is beautiful and is a great stop for a meal if you're going through town. We didn't stay here. Service has always been great and the food is fantastic. We called ahead at like 6pm on a Sunday night to see if we'd have trouble seating 6 people and the gal said there may be a bit of a wait since all the large tables were taken, but when we arrived a table of six was already set up for us waiting. Greatly appreciated!

All of the staff were incredibly kind and professional. One of them saw us walking up the sidewalk and walked outside to open the door and welcome us in. They had a good drink menu and my husband and I both liked the drinks we ordered. We also enjoyed the food. I appreciate that they always have a couple vegan options on the food menu.

This place has the best food and a great atmosphere. This is by far super unique with 3 different restaurants. I only went to the one on the first floor but I plan to go back and try the other restaurants in the building. They also have shows too in a ball room, I have not been yet but I also want to go again to check that out. Staff has been really friendly both times I went and I got a cool passport you can use when you go to different locations or just use it in Tacoma if you want. It gives you point and has stamps and activities too.

Nice pub style ambiance, nice dining area and bar top. We had a few drinks up at the bar top. They have a good selection of craft beers on tap and a full spirits selection as well as a complimenting craft cocktails list that should appeal to many patrons. Cocktails were reasonably priced (expected for a downtown area). We split their humus appetizer (portion easily could have accommodated 3 people) and their mushroom grilled cheese which was fantastic. Prices were a bit on the high end but the quality and portion was very fair!

Fun place to visit. They have so much space so the wait is always shorter than my other Tacoma go-to’s. I got the game hen. It was solid. Been here several times before never had a bad dish.
