We visited as 3 English-speaking dudes with our superpowered travel agent. Why superpowered? Because the place was closed (some sort of local business lunch/dinner thing) but she made a phone call? Or talked to someone on the street? Or made a sacrifice to an ancient god? And suddenly it was open! We ordered 2 beer flights and got to taste all of the beers they offered. They were amazing. We tried each beer and then, to finish the servings, we each picked our favorite and 'least favorite' and I am not lying when I say that the 'least favorites' would have easily been favorites in any other location. I also ordered a soda because I was very dehydrated during the Japanese summer with lots of walking, and even the soda is custom made on demand. Amazing. Highly recommended, although you may need a sorcerer travel agent with you.

I had a wonderful experience here. The owner is very nice, and his beers are great. The neighborhood vibe made it very fun. Friendly, pub atmosphere. I recommend visiting.

Keisuke (the owner) is great!! Engaging, fun, and helpful! The beers are good too. Definitely worth a visit if you're looking for craft brews!

Great selection of beers to try. Really enjoyed our beers and the atmosphere. They also have food but we just drank beer. Welcoming environment and highly recommend. The Wald (Swarzbier) was my favorite.

Great place - super friendly host, he's got a selection of delicious IPAs and other rare drinks from the region. Lofi chill music is playing, the ambience inside is warm, Mannekin Pis statue discreetly in a corner, brewery stickers everywhere. Definitely come here if you enjoy this style of beer. Remember that good stuff doesn't come cheap - but go on, treat yourself, I mean how often do you come to Takayama?

Good option if you wanna have craft beerin Takayama. They have good japanese beers on top, not to mention the awesome service provided by Keisuke!

I went for their crafted IPAs (1500 yen) that they run out off. Had to drink can from abroad instead for even higher price (1650yen) which tasted less good. It's a cool place but overpriced.

Cozy little craft beer joint with a super friendly owner and a hell of a good selection of brews from around Japan. Went three days in a row on the last trip to Takayama and there was a new Hazy IPA on tap everyday. All were heavenly.

Newly opened beer stand pub that offers 8 or so taps from all over Japan and some from the US etc. Drink in bar or to go, cash on. The menu variation is quite unique....not lagar/weitzen only, could be a bit heavier but not IPA only, sour ale, barley wine, stout....if you are not sure of your taste, just ask the staff, he knows beer quite well. Some nibbles available but no meals. Power outlets and free wifi available. Chill out with the easy smooth music in the air and hoppy water in your glass....
