This location is hands down the best! The trainers are welcoming and patient. There's always a staff associate wiping equipment down. The Women's Locker room and showers are always clean. There's classes offered here and a water filtration fountain, or you can purchase water. The Hydro Massage room have a good amount of recliners and beds available for use morning till night. To be frank, I travel for a living and this is by far my favorite planet fitness. The staff is amazing and well managed! The gym has a great atmosphere and the personnel are friendly, helpful, and amazing! Thank you to everyone part of this facility and love being part of this TEAM/ Family! Especially, Zoey, Teresa, Tehron and Shay!!!!!!

Not the most welcoming staff but the planet fitness is an inexpensive gym

2 things. Sunday July 9th 6:20pm nobody was at the counter, people waiting for the manager, personally I was waiting for the massage chair and I couldn’t use it, the manager never came back for long time. Check cameras. I saw the manager walking with a girl and then disappear. Now Tuesday 1:50pm 4 people at the counter and the men bathroom is sting, check urinals floors and garbage, with that many people the gym should be super clean. Please help the staff to manage the gym and coach your manager.

Amazing location with friendly staff and very clean facilities! It’s never too busy which is a huge bonus! Also they have one of the cleanest locker rooms i’ve seen. With 4 showers & 3 changing rooms! I travel to different locations on a monthly, so this really stood out to me!

Great gym. Very clean. Machines are older models but clean. Well laid out. Not too crowded. Great staff. Attentive to everyone.

I've been coming here six days a week for a while now and I never have any complaints. It's the brightest and cleanest in the area, the sanitation supplies is always stocked, and even the bathrooms are regularly taken care of. I am one of those 6am people, so Jena is the first person I see every day. She is patient, kind, and has a good sense of humor- what more could you ask for? There is another location closer to work, but this is worth the extra drive time any day. Thanks, guys!

Needs more ab machines and a medium weight medicine ball , otherwise it's pretty clean and most machines are available all times of the day. Could use longer hours on weekends and needs classes on evenings and weekends. So I felt the need to edit my review after using the place for about a year. This place has the least trained employees. On a Sunday morning no one really busy here employee is just sitting around and the place looks filthy.... there are mats and garbage everywhere. I complained that the stairclimers are not hooked up to the TVs today for some reason. I was told they're just for the ellipticals, even though every other time I've been here I've used the stair climber with the headsets and it's hooked to the TV. Feel like I'm not getting my money's worth lately.

I love this gym, what makes the experience is the workers. I’ve been coming here since 2020 and have gotten to know all of the employees and they’re all seriously top notch! All the girls who work there rock. The gym is extremely clean. Shout out to Teresa, Shay, Zoey & Cat. You ladies rock.

I've been waiting to write a review honestly. I purchased the membership the day before Thanksgiving 2021. Now it is January 8th I read the reviews on this specific location. I honestly do not agree with the reviews. Everyone has different experiences. The staff every single one of them respectful. Some reviews complained about mask. Honestly some people wear it and some people do not. But will someone else not wearing a mask interfere with you working out to feel better and get healthy. Honestly I wear my mask I go in I get my workout in and go. Staff greet you as you walk in and say good bye when you are leaving. I love it honestly love this place. ✌peace out hope this helps with a decision on joining

This gym is convenient to work being right down the street for the most part the people are nice who work there. My only complaint and not trying to be passive aggressive but the same peace of gum is still on the floor I front of the smith machine and I have not been to the gym for personal reasons. There is still the same metal tidbit on the floor next to the gum . The one day a gentleman was eating boiled peanut out of a bag tossing shells on the floor. There is a couple from the street folks eating a can of cold ravioli in the sitting area . The mirror are beyond not clean it’s not the members job to tell managers to clean it up . They can blame oh sweetie it’s the area well it’s not . There are hospitals and gyms in other kinda tuff on times areas in other city’s way hard corer then Tampa . It’s management not managing sitting on the counter top not rounding not looking at what needs done . What you permit you promote don’t kid your self and make excuses on why the gym is dirty and people are doing what ever they want . The gym is 24 hours but it’s not anyone’s kitchen or living room and some one needs to clean up and control what’s happening. Take the blinders off and run the gym and not be afraid to open your mouth and say NO this behavior is not going to be tolerated in my work place and the members gym . Yes it low cost but it still is not free get with running it not letting it run it’s self . Please do better I like the gym just needs to tighten the muscles on what’s allowed and what’s not allowed.

I had the unfortunate experience of being a member at this gym, and it was nothing short of a nightmare. The staff was consistently rude and unhelpful, making every interaction uncomfortable. What's worse, even after I followed their cancellation procedures to the letter, they still managed to charge me for months after I had canceled my membership. It's clear that this gym prioritizes profits over customer satisfaction and ethical business practices. Save yourself the headache and find a gym that actually cares about its members.

Gets the job done for the price (super affordable)! The staff is always friendly. It's pretty empty in the mornings which is nice and they have a lot of machines so even when it's busy you'll be able to use something. The clientele is people of all sizes, ages, and fitness levels so I never feel judged or out of place. It's well-cleaned and overall nice!

Not one of the worst Planet Fitness that I've been to. The stand up tanning bed was filthy dirty. The acrylic tanning walls were filthy to the touch. The floor that you stand on inside was very dirty and I hated standing on it barefooted. I took a guest and we took our clothes inside to change into after we showered. My clothes were in a bag under a desk, in the ladies locker room. I began gathering my items to shower and my clothes were gone!!!! Someone stole my bag of clothes. I looked everywhere, the trash cans, lockers, bathroom stalls, etc, and they were nowhere to be found. The employees were rude. Pretty much what I found in any establishment in the state of Florida. They weren't sympathetic about my clothes being stolen. Was just plain rude about it.

Been on the grind for my physic comp and Chris Pico landed me with that dubstep type form on the incline, never done it. He has the body type of a Greek god and helped me tuck my elbows in like no other. If anyone needs help with spot or bulking methods, hit Chris up he knows the moves. Health and form is key.

Great facility very friendly staff always accommodating to my family and I. Very clean….. John and other staff members are always willing to assist

I have been coming to this location for 3 months with silver sneakers. And today I was denied access. I am handicap and had to park at Sav A Lot. The kid (Brian) at the front desk wanted me to walk back up the hill to get my insurance card (in 90 degree weather)and walk back or pay $5.00. And said there were no day passes. He said " we can't have any ole person enter" . Ole or old sounded like discrimination at best and ignorant at the least:(( wait until Brian hits 60.yrs old...

Really pleased that this neighborhood has a planet fitness. The placement couldn’t have been more perfect, and it’s not necessarily just a plus for me BUT for everyone that may find themselves in this area. The few staff members I did see present during my visit were friendly. The facility was clean and well-equipped. Due to the popular demand it seems like a steady-busy gym…good for them! Welcome to the neighborhood!

It's OK, none of the TVs were on (maybe not working?), the equipment was outdated. I was on a treadmill that you could see visible rust on the metal part that runs the belt. It's squeaked pretty bad while walking on it. Staff was nice and it was clean. Needs a major overhaul.

There's a fat, obese black trainer who decided he wants to take over the 30 min fitness workout section in the morning. You're trying to work out and this guy is all in your face trying to tell you what to do. I've worked out at 4 different PF locations and never have I seen a fat, out of shape trainer pretending to hold a class in the 30 minute workout area. That's usually the area where people can workout at their own pace, it's truly a judgment free zone. This fat, Jello shaped instructor has come in with a whole heap of judgment and he's loud, he needs to change the time and format of his course. I give you ONE STAR

Place is always welcoming. Coming in around 2am most mornings and Maliq is great and keep everything clean. Zoey helped me with the single issue I had there quickly and efficiently. Great gym to work out at would recommend.

I was reluctant to go back to a gym, as I had been working out at home for the past several years. But Planet Fitness is great. The staff is friendly and welcoming, the gym is always very clean, and there is tons of resistance equipment and cardio options. I would highly recommend this gym to anyone of any age.

Horrible barely any water coming out of sinks showers are old so barely any water coming out of them. Massage chair old not properly working. That had to be the hood. No way anyone can be satisfied with working out there. Never again

Best gym in town!!! This location has the friendliest staff. (They actually use your name to greeting you.) The gym is the clean, the crew works hard to keep that way, and I just love the vibe. Home away from home 😊 Maliq, Toya, and especially Brian, are the best.

Nice selection of equipment. Very clean. No blaring music. Wish they had more of a free weight selection like bars and squat racks. Not sure why those very common pieces are considered outside the judgment free zone.

The Staff Maliq, Madison, Brian, Dre, and the rest of the Team at this location are exceptional! The staff are constantly cleaning and the daytime users have a culture of sanitizing equipment before and after use. Attending everyday while vacationing for over three weeks I have yet to see any equipment closed off for repair which is unheard-of at most gyms. Shout out to Maliq for his outstanding leadership and role model to his team!

Do they interview their employees before even working at a gym facility? Would give one star if I could. What a joke. At least before they had decent people working at this location.

I no longer live near Tampa, and I have tried to cancel my membership with this Planet Fitness location twice by phone and once in writing. They act like they didn't receive my letter, which they said is required to cancel, probably so they can keep charging me. The letter was mailed 3 weeks ago. Their employees are rude and unhelpful. Don't walk but RUN away if you're thinking of joining this gym. Once you sign up, they act like they are entitled to charge you every month forever, even though they will set you up with a cancel anytime type of contract to make you feel comfortable. They even had the nerve to tell me I have to provide a reason I am canceling in writing. How about because it's my money and I said so!!??

Great gym. Free training is never available after 4 booked solid for over a month. Don't join for the free training unless you don't work days. Not a strong man gym so dumbells stop around 70lbs still can get a good workout and the silly link alert is never used thankfully. A respectful environment to work out no matter your fitness level

Gym is great along with the workers but there's a catch, when you sign up is $12 dollars but there's a fixed billing date so you'll be paying for your membership on week one and the monthly dues on week two and there's also a annual fee of $46 dollars plus tax that you'll have to pay within the first month, so just FYI pay attention because the first month is literally almost $100 dollars if not over, not "$24.99" as advertised. Other than that is not a bad fitness center.

Nice, clean, lots of equipment. Massage machines, tanning machines & other nice options. No pool. Small in comparison to so much equipment. Prices are good. Won't take a membership because they require your checking account number to join. I have debit & credit card, but PF Won't accept. I've had to many fraud activities on my checking account the last 2 years to trust any company with that information. I'm sure PF is honest, but can't take any changes these days with so many fraudsters & opportunists out there. Otherwise, I would have bought a membership already.

I’m so excited to have found a new gym home. I came here 2 weeks ago because my son invited me he said they had a free summer fitness pass for high school students and I wanted to support him. Little did I know I was going to change over. This Planet Fitness is the opposite of what I have experienced at the crunch on Hillsborough Ave. This gym is super clean and I appreciate that. I’m no longer grossed out when I come to work out. I gave it 2 weeks to see if it would stay that way and it has. You staff is friendly and always cleaning. Keep up the good work. I will definitely be canceling my crunch membership today! Cheers to Planet Fitness on Florida Ave!

I like coming to the gym. It’s very clean and well kept, has tons of machines, I use every single perk. The staff is always cleaning and they’re friendly and take the extra time to help you, Kayla helped me with a billing issue that was on my end, she was informative and helpful which was perfect and honestly at other gyms I have gotten attitude about billing so this was refreshing! Made my experience that much better, love coming here for so many reasons.

Been a planet fitness member for YEARS. But this location is very UNPROFESSIONAL, management is horrible! They Sit up at the front desk and talk and gossip about other employees!!! Not every worker in there does there job only a few! The manager herself is very biased towards employees and members picks and chose who she wants on her good side. My mother went in there this week and she only speaks Spanish and they treated her like she was dumb and ignored her! DO BETTER!!!!!!!

Very clean and great atmosphere. Maliq always greets with a smile. I have 3 Planet fitness within 15 mins from where I live and this one is my favorite
