Loved visiting the cactus gardens. Loads of pathways to explore, cafe for drinks and snacks, plenty of great pictures to take. Would love to come back and see the cactus flowers in full bloom. €6.50 per person. Bathrooms on site, plenty of parking. Can spend around 1.5 hours walking round.

A nice hour spent here walking amongst the wide array of cactuses. A calm experience, but I imagine it can get busy. Possibly a good thing to do if he weather isn’t great, although I imagine it could get quite busy. The coffee shop/cafeteria was nice with a great view of the gardens. (Quite a lot of steps!)

A big cactus garden is a spectacular sight to behold. As you enter, you're greeted by towering cacti that rise up to the sky, some reaching over 10 feet in height. The garden is filled with an array of cactus species, each with its own unique shape, color, and texture. The garden is arranged in a way that allows you to stroll through it, taking in the beauty and diversity of the cacti. The paths wind their way through the garden, offering glimpses of the different types of cacti from different angles. As you walk, you'll notice the sunlight filtering through the spines of the cacti, casting a warm, golden glow on everything around you. In the midst of the cactus garden, you might find a tranquil pond or a bubbling fountain. These water features provide a refreshing respite from the heat of the desert sun, and they attract a variety of wildlife, from songbirds to lizards. The garden is also home to other desert plants, such as succulents and wildflowers, which add a splash of color to the landscape. The air is filled with the sweet fragrance of desert blooms, and you might even catch a glimpse of a butterfly or hummingbird hovering nearby. Overall, a big cactus garden is a breathtaking display of nature's beauty and resilience. It's a testament to the hardiness of desert plants and a reminder of the unique and wondrous ecosystems that exist in even the harshest environments.

Beautiful place. Very well maintained and easy to navigate. There are cacti in every shape, form and size. You can walk up to them without restrictions and have a good look. There are toilets, a gift shop and a cafeteria. Free parking, tickets are €10.

We visited the cactus garden this afternoon. We arrived about 3pm and it was lovely and quiet. We ate in the little eatery and found the food to be absolutely delicious. We had cake of the day, which was apple, lemon sorbet and a cheese and ham panini. The service was quick and the food freshly prepared. The actual garden was lovely with all the cactus names on little plaques. There was a water feature with fish and the whole place was very clean. Really enjoyed our visit.

Loved this place. So different to the usual attractions. Doesn't take very long to see it as is fairly small but we'll worth the visit.

Started to love cacti when visited canary islands. It is a must place if you share the love of them, so many different ones, one more beautiful than the other, shapes that does not make any sense. We arrived early but got in without waiting.

The garden is not large, but interestingly designed and with a huge variety of cacti in a whole range of sizes, shapes or heights. Despite the large number of people, one does not feel crowded, but rather a sense of calm flowing through these amazing plants. There are also interesting views from the upper terraces over the garden or the surrounding area. We 2 hours contemplating the beauty of this place

Beautiful Work of Cesar Manrique. There is big and beautiful selection of cactuses. Picturesque views with the Windmill in the back. There was the restaurant on the spot but haven't tried eating there as we had some arrangements prior. On a hot day it is good to know there is an option to get a cold drink.

Stunning place! So calm and peaceful too! Great variety of Cacti! Would have liked a bit more information about the garden in leaflet, audio or book form! There wasn't even a book about the construction of the garden in english in the shop. However I got all the info online! Loved it there and will definitely be back!

The Cactus garden was lovely to walk around. I can't help but feeling they are perhaps missing a trick with regards to information about all of the cacti in the garden. Most of them have labels next to them so that you know their scientific name. However, there was zero information available about each cacti. (Perhaps a guidebook with the cacti numbered and then information about them in the guide book? - is this an English approach? I don't know but I would have been happy to actually learn about each cactus) and that's really the only reason why I've given it a 4 star rating rather than a 5. There is a cafe on site where you can get food and drink. There are toilets and a gift shop. In the gift shop there are numerous foodstuffs you can buy made out of cactus fruits - but again, no information anywhere about how you make cactus jam for example.

Really good couple of hours spent walking round & round, and still finding more to see. Great experience, very enjoyable. Only suggestion would be to improve seating areas at the restaurant as we waited a long time to sit and was unsuccessful. Staff should encourage customers who have finished & paid to give other tourists an opportunity. Really good value for money on the entrance fee !!

An astounding setting with lots of different cacti on show in good condition. A good photo opportunity as well. There is a cafe and gift shop on site as well.

Interesting place, an old quarry repurposed as a cactus garden. It was part of a multi stop tour we were there for 40 minutes which was a good amount of time. Interesting artwork in the toilets.

  • 5/5 David M. 1 year ago on Google
Never realised until our visit to this beautiful garden that there were so many variants of cacti plants. Beautiful colours in well kept grounds. The flower colours stood out against the lava bedding and some incredible shaped cacti. A delightful visit with amenities and gift shop.

  • 5/5 Andy P. 1 year ago on Google
It was a quarry now it's a disused quarry converted to a cactus garden. You don't have to be a crazed cactus lover to enjoy this place. It's nicely landscaped with spacious planting. Depending on the time of year some cacti will be flowering and that can be both beautiful and weird. It's not for unsupervised youngsters though. There's lots for adventurous little souls to fall over or off and the plants fight back. Although it's an opportunity to see what happens when a soft squidgy person falls on a very annoyed cactus... This place was designed with art and beauty in mind, not current health and safety regulations. Overall, it shows what can be done with a hole in the ground other than make it into a landfill. Respect.

This is a wonderful and well maintained garden with a large variety of cacti and cactus to look at. A cafe is available on site too serving food and drinks as well as toilets. Nice views from the top by the windmill house. 6.50 EUR to enter and they take care - good value. I would recommend.

  • 5/5 Adrian K. 2 years ago on Google
Very nice place to visit. Never seen so many cactus like there and idea to use post vulcanic crater as place to create so stange and beautiful oasis like this. This place has climate especially when you are interested in plants.

  • 5/5 Nikki 2 years ago on Google
Ideal location to have a see of how much Cactus variants there are! All different shapes and sizes stand out, as well what is truly fascinating is that the Cactus' are from countries from nearly all around the world! I would definitely recommend visiting here!

  • 5/5 Joseph G. 11 months ago on Google
Just about every cactus on display. Very busy when we were there, but space to move around due to a good layout. Inspiring for anyone who loves cacti, all well labelled and displayed. Rather remote location giving it a peaceful environment.

  • 5/5 Anna Maria S. 2 years ago on Google
Super cute garden, you learn about the different types of cactus around the island and you take nice photos. However the garden is small and I think the ticket is overpriced. It was nice and I enjoyed it but you can skip it as the cactus are around the island in gardens or in the nature

  • 5/5 Writing R. 2 years ago on Google
Absolutely very beautiful garden. I have never seen so many cactus in one place, nor have I ever giant cactus, some from as far as Mexico, Brazil etc. The garden has a café, toilets, an old windmill worth going up the stairs to see it. The garden is so beautiful and serene, you should plan to spend at least 2 to 3 hours there.

  • 5/5 Nicola G. 1 year ago on Google
We came here today as part of a bigger excursion so could only stay 45 minutes so ended up rushing the last few minutes. There were so many different cacti and succulents to see with a cafe gift shop and windmill which we didn't get to see. We will definitely be back and will stay longer next time. Would highly recommend a visit.

  • 5/5 Luis P. 4 years ago on Google
Great setting. Loved the display of cacti. The cafe is pretty good too with a lovely view over the whole garden. Best time to visit seemed to be around lunchtime when most coach parties had departed and there were a lot less people.

  • 5/5 Mr T. 4 years ago on Google
Relax and walk through a very established and well looked after cactus garden. There is a lovely cafe bar with a view over the whole garden. Toilets are well kept and clean. Wheelchair users will find it difficult to get around the side areas, but you will still get value for money so what are you waiting for get yourselves down there.

  • 4/5 Ben J. 6 months ago on Google
Good fun to look around, would like slightly more information on the species themselves but it didn't detract too much from the visit. Would visit again.

Stunning cactus garden; I could easily spend an hour here walking through the garden paths. It's quite small area so not too much walking involved. Well worth going to if in the area - good to do in same day as other nearby attractions. You can get a group ticket for multiple attractions at reduced price. Free parking, toilets, cool-down room, bar/café.

A unique garden, generally we are in the impression all cacti look the same. This inspirational garden gives us the opportunity to witness a wide variety of cacti from all over the world in one place.

What an amazing place, imaginatively designed and wonderfully looked after. The collection of cacti , aloes ,agaves is vast The facilities are clean and were in good working order . The gift shop has some very tasteful items at very reasonable prices.

My husband and I visited the Cactus Garden whilst on a cruise to Lanzarote. It was very busy and noisy probably due to a large group of school children being present who shouted loudly constantly from the windmill then around the grounds. There's a diverse range of cacti growing but quite a few species appeared shrivelled, brown and dead unless they were in a dormant state due to the heat. Nonetheless it was disappointing to witness this lack of upkeep. The location is quite mesmerising though and I would imagine quite therapeutic on a quiet day. The toilets were immaculate and cafe reasonably priced. We plan to visit again when hopefully it's less chaotic.

Not to miss. And again a project from César Manrique; as always : more than worth the visit, even if you're not the least interested in cactuses. Magnificent architecture. Beautiful garden layout.

This is a beautiful place. For a plant lovers, its paradise of Cactus. And even thise who dont like plants so much will find this place very interesting and impressive. There are so many different types of cactus there, some of them you can never even imagine existed. If you thought cactus is boring plant, think again and come see the place. The cost is 6.50 euro.

Lovely garden with cactuses everywhere you look. There is a gift shop and a restaurant and you can also access the windmill, from where you can see the whole garden. Accessible, altough a bit challenging, with baby stroller.

Beautiful place to visit, so many different types of cacti which I didn’t even know existed or could be possible. Very educational and nice walk through the garden. There’s a nice restaurant in there to sit down and eat, gift shop and a very nice viewpoint from a windmill at the top. It was a very quick visit, we stayed there 30-40 mins max, but it was a good and beautiful experience worth the visit :)

Great place to go and have a wander through the gardens. Weird and wonderful varieties to see. Well laid out. Cafè place is good to get out the heat before exploring more parts of it. The Windmill views over the gardens are amazing.

Really lovely 1-2 hr visit with family (or solo!) gorgeous varying species of cacti and succulents, many of which are rare. Definitely worth the visit, especially if you have an interest in plants.

A really interesting experience. Definitely worth the money for entry to see all the hundreds of species of Cacti. I don't recommend the cafe, we waited over 30 mins just trying to get someone to take our order, so we left and went to the amazing barbecue place down the road which was excellent.
