Our family (4 adults) visited Israel for 10 days in July 2011 and Gilad Suffrin was our tour guide. We had a wonderful experience. It was one of the most enjoyable, informative vacations we've ever had (we've been to over 30 nations so we're well traveled). Gilad was very dedicated to us, very thorough and detail oriented. Because he had things under control, I could relax. And he was fun !! My kids really liked him ! He taught us a great deal about the people, history and culture of this fascinating land. His knowledge of archaeology is impressive and he weaved it into his tours seamlessly. Our kids are adults (mid 20s) and well read on Middle East and Ancient history yet he captivated them with his stories. He involved them in his lectures, he had us read from the bible (we're Catholics) at certain sites, and his knowledge of different faiths and how they weave into the history of this land made the whole trip SO fun and informative. just a great tour guide. By the end of the tour, Gilad was a friend of our family, not just our tour guide. Gilad was truly the best tour guide we've ever had and definitely one of the reasons we enjoyed Israel so much. We visited Jerusalem, Nazareth, Acre, Beit Shean, Safed, Capernum and other sites with Gilad. we then went to Elat on our own, then went over to Jordan. Great trip, and I hope to visit Israel again some day and defintiely will use Gilad for that trip.

Our family of 4 adults travelled with Gilad Suffrin in April 2014. It was an extraordinary trip. Gilad helped design our 6 day trip to make the most of our time in Israel. His knowledge of the history and culture of Israel is tremendous, and he truly enjoys sharing his country with his visitors. I would not have changed anything--except that I wish we had been able to stay longer. Gilad warned us that 6 days is not enough and he is right! We look forward to returning to Israel and travelling again with Gilad.

My wife and I took our two daughters and their husbands to Israel 14 months ago. Gilad Suffrin was our guide for a total of nine days. Gilad is for me an ideal guide, he is intelligent and extremely well informed, personal and relational, always available and responsive to stated needs and desires. If you also enjoy history, archaeology, political science, and theology you will not be disappointed with Gilad because you can not absorb all that he has to offer on one trip. With Gilad's help we were able to experience the joy of a private guide for the same cost of a large group tour.

We have traveled with Gilad Suffrin on three trips during the last three years, and are planning a fourth trip. Throughout all of those trips, Gilad has never taken us to the same place twice. He exceeded all of our expectations. Gilad has an amazing knowledge of history, archaeology and nature. He personalized our itineraries to suit our needs He is also charming and a lot of fun! He has instilled in us a love of Israel that can't be put into words. We have recommended Gilad to our friends, and they had an equally wonderful experience. Can't say enough good things about Gilad Suffrin! Our only wish is that he could guide us in whatever country we choose to travel.

My teenage son and I travelled in Israel with Gilad Suffrin on a tour with a group of 12. It was the first time many of us had been to Israel and Gilad's introduction to the country was brilliant. Warm and engaging with an incredible knowledge of cultural, political and religious history, Gilad made us feel at home from the very beginning. He easily accommodated the diverse group's interests, incorporating outdoor activities (hiking, a dig, a jeep ride in the Golan, a swim in the Dead Sea) with historical explorations (Masada, the city of David, and much more). We enjoyed many meals in delightful restaurants off the beaten track, and the children on the trip were thoroughly engaged by Gilad's sense of humor and respect for their points of view. He opened a door to Israel, and my son and I fell in love with the country and all its complexities, the beautiful landscape and, most of all, the people. So much so that we returned and lived for two months in Jerusalem the following summer! How welcome we felt in Israel had everything to do with Gilad's generous spirit. Really our trip with him could not have been better!

Our tour in June, 2014 with Dina Horn was outstanding. Dina picked us up at our hotel and delivered us to adventure after adventure in Jerusalem. She lead us through crowded markets, underground tunnels, great restaurants and many historical sights. Her knowledge of archeology and history is impressive, as is her ability to reference biblical facts from Judaism, Christianity and Islam. We were very pleased with her services and would recommend her to anyone considering a trip to Israel.

During May my wife and I spent 2 weeks in Israel, 10 days of which were with the fantastic tour guide, Meir More. Not having visited the Middle East nor having spent more than a day with a tour guide we were very uncertain about what to expect! Any expectations that we had were well exceeded by Meir. He began by attempting to understand our interests in Israel so that he could provide the best possible experience for our interests; archaeological, historical, religious, contemporary, political, nature etc. We definitely did not give him a clear picture of what we wanted, mainly because we wanted to see and do everything! Meir took this in his stride and by paying attention to our reactions as we travelled the country Meir fashioned each day to suit our interests, giving us a wonderfully broad and enriching experience. Despite being a passionate Israeli with a deep knowledge of Judaism and Christianity, Meir always gave a balanced view of the historical and contemporary political issues that make Israel the fascinating and unique country that it is today. Meirโ€™s sense of humour and inexhaustible energy in answering questions (there were many!) and providing us with an unforgettable experience were remarkable. Nothing was too much trouble. I can recall being driven around Beersheba in search of the Golden Goose restaurant. After asking directions of 5 locals we finally found it, and it served absolutely delicious food. Our journey through Israel was not a โ€œguide bookโ€ experience, but one that took us to all the common sites and the less travelled roads where we were able to interact with the locals. We have travelled extensively, but our experience in Israel, guided by Meir, was amongst the very best. I highly recommend Meir to anyone looking to get a taste of Israel, whether it be for a few days or weeks.

Our 3 generational family of 5 had a great experience in Israel with Gilad as our Guide. He had wonderful ideas in planning the vacation so that we would be doing activities that would be interesting for the 11 and 13 year old boys as well as the adults. We visited historical sights and wonderful national parks. He always joined us in water activities in the lakes and rivers. He is knowledgeable, patient., and generous with this time. He is a good driver also. You will enjoy having him for a guide. Barbara Mars Los Angeles California

I am going to solve this for you....really solve it, because you are going half way around the world for potentially a once in a lifetime experience and hope to be transported to another time and a have fantastic experience and your guide is your path to making this happen and YES it is that important to get it right. Let me introduce the best guide in Israel, Meir More. Meir was our guide in March of 2014 and led us on a journey that was equal parts spiritual, multi-faith, historical, geographical, and political. He was steady and unbiased, super knowledgeable, expert on every aspect of every place we saw from every perspective. He explained things simply when called for and could go deep and complex whenever called upon. But his gentle manor and way with our private party of four was super human. He simultaneously catered to all of us seemingly at the same time making sure every in the group got to see and learn about what was important to them . He was flexible on the trip---committed to the written itinerary but willing to go off track if that's what we wanted. This is an incredible nice man who we became friends with after the 3 days. We've traveled the world and never had a better guide anywhere. So yes, you have concerns, you have worries....well, I've just solved your guide issues in Israel!

I was in Israel & Jerusalem for the first time last November. I used Reuven as my guide, he was friendly, very informative, and knew so much about the history of Israel and Jerusalem. I hired him for a full day and he even went beyond the the time we were supposed to end telling us so much information beyond what he was supposed to do. I highly recommend reuben if you want a guide who thoroughly knows the history and facts about Israel.

We have travelled exstensively all over the world and have had numerous guides but none compared to our recent guide in Israel, Reuven Reggev. We spent 6 days with Reuven and not only did we enjoy him and his work, we found a new friend in the process. Reuven's knowledge of Israel, its architecture, religion and history is unsurpassed. He was always on time, went out of his way to help in any way he could, answered any questions we had, was easy to understand, explained everything in depth and connected it with a story. I am very structured, expected a lot and I am not one to say things if I don't mean them, so please do not take this review lightly. I think if you are going to Israel, you deserve the best and Reuven is just that. We were so happy with him that we invited him to join us at dinner each night because we so enjoyed his company . He is honest, does things right and really wants you to enjoy your time there. We spent on some days 10 hours touring and there is no way I could stand that amount of time with a guide if we were not captivated. We miss him and we will stay in touch with him. Reuven you are the best. Thank you for a wonderful time. Joe and Maria from Philadelphia Visited May 2014

The tour was amazing. Our group consisted of 3 adults and 2 teenage boys. Reuven Reggev, our guide, was personable, professional, dedicated and full of information. His breadth and depth of knowledge was impressive, whether it was biblical or modern history, archaeology, geology, culture, food, really pretty much anything. His commentaries did not only help make the Bible come alive to me; they also made me feel a real connection to the land and its history. If I ever do get back to Israel I will be looking for Reuven.

We have traveled extensively and used the services of guides in many countries. Without a doubt, Reuven Reggev from Israel Private Tour Guide, was the best guide we have ever had and we made a new friend! I cannot say we found Reuven on our own. We usually spend a lot of time planning, researching and booking our trips, but this time we used a travel expert, Phyllis, at Poste Haste Travel. Phyllis did a lot of research for us and chose Reuven as our guide. Luckily he was available. Reuven is extremely professional and knowledgeable on every aspect of Israel and the area: the people, history, culture, religion, art, architecture and also important when traveling, good restaurants and food. Our group consisted of 2 couples, repeat visitors to Israel and a first time visitor. Reuven set exactly the right tempo for us, plenty of information, answers to questions, participating in our observations and discussions and presenting the perfect mix of history and culture to give us a better understanding of Israel. We are energetic travelers and Reuven set the perfect pace, with detours from our itinerary when he discovered some special interest, such as a wine farm, or an art gallery, in our group of four. He gave us his cell phone number after we left him to go to Jordan in case we had an issue. We did have a problem at the border, we called Reuven and with a phone call from him, the problem was solved. We could not have had a better experience. Every sight or place was enhanced by Reuven's knowledge and insight. We had the most memorable trip and week with Reuven.

Gilad Suffrin, Greatest tour guide in Israel! We choose Gilad Suffrin for our tour guide because of the positive ratings given on Trip Advisor. We know now why he was so highly praised. We had the most amazing experience ever imagined. We would recommend his services to anyone and we will call him again if we get a chance to return. Gilad was knowledgeable about every site past and present. His knowledge of history and the many stories he tells will keep you engaged all day. After 4 days, we consider him family. I donโ€™t know any tour guide who will Skype his clients before their departure to ensure he understands what they want from their trip. As Christians, he gave us wonderful memories that we will take with us through life. We canโ€™t imagine there is a better tour guide than Gilad.

Is there ANYTHING Gilad doesnโ€™t know? Our Family of six were so fortunate to have Gilad Suffrin as our guide for almost two weeks in Israel. The trip was an unforgettable experience. With Giladโ€™s excellent command of English it was so easy to plan all the elements of the trip ahead of time, as well as to communicate so effortlessly during our trip. Gilad certainly overwhelmed us with his VAST knowledge of the history, geology, politics, and every conceivable aspect of life through the thousands of years of Israelโ€™s existence. This personalized and adventurous tour made a huge difference in all our lives in understanding and appreciating so many aspects of Israel that we could never have conceived of before. Through Giladโ€™s warm personality it was impossible to not form a personal relationship that Iโ€™m sure will continue for many years.

We toured Israel this past spring break with our tour guide Gilad Suffrin. Gilad had been recommended by a colleague of mine whose family toured with him a few years back. It seemed like it was going to be challenging. I hadn't been to Israel in 30 years. I wanted to take my family there for my older son's 13th birthday and do some commemoration of his bar mitzvah. My wife is Catholic and wasn't that interested in going. My son had hoped to stay at home and play video games. I don't usually meet this kind of resistance in planning vacations. So I took a leap of faith and emailed Gilad. He responded almost immediately and was available to do a call, a Skype session or email. I told him the variables. Within a day he had mapped out a proposed itinerary for an 8 day tour which would include archeological sites and a dig, historic sites, a Jeep ride in the Golan, a wonderful horse farm in the Galilee, swimming, hiking, a "bar mitzvah" at the Wailing Wall, Christian sites, of course Jerusalem, Masada, the Dead Sea etc,, hotel recommendations, car rental, everything. I had very little to add as it looked like it addressed all of my needs as well as anticipating the needs of my wife and our two boys ages 10 and 13. so we booked it and hoped for the best. Gilad proved to be the perfect guide. Incredibly knowledgeable about Israel's history and current political situation and able to share his passion in a way that resonated with all of us. He was punctual, even-tempered, upbeat, had great restaurant recommendations, easy-going, great with the kids, a great story-teller and made you feel the history of the spot your were standing on, gave us the amount of privacy we needed, the list could just go on. We all agreed after the trip that it would not have been the same without Gilad. We all left with a passion for Israel that we never thought we would have and a desire to return. Did I say the trip was amazing because we had the most amazing tour guide imaginable? Well it was. So. Unless you have ben to Israel many times before or have family there, I highly recommend a tour guide. If you want the best tour guide you could possibly find, hire Gilad Suffrin. It will be the best travel decision you ever made.

We found "Israel Private Day Tours" on the internet through a Google search and immediately checked reviews on Trip Advisor. Their flawless reviews gave us a sense of confidence to contact them for a proposal for our potential trip to Israel. The company advised us to await contact from a guide. Within a few hours we received an email from Gilad Suffrin who proposed a Skype call to discuss our desires. From the first call we realized that Gilad was truly interested in getting to understand our personalities which over the next couple of days enabled him to develop a plan that suited us well. My wife is very particular about accommodations and had pre-selected a number of 5 star hotels. Gilad proposed some alternative boutique hotels which were substantially less expensive yet exceptionally well appointed and very satisfactory for us. Once Gilad had gained our confidence he took control of all our travel arrangements (for the period after arrival in Israel) and accommodations and side trips to Petra, Jordan and even the West Bank. From the moment we arrived at Tel Aviv and were greeted with a sign bearing our name we were taken care of with great attention to detail. Gilad Suffrin spent 8 full days with us sharing his enthusiasm and intricate knowledge past and present of his beloved homeland. The country and it's wealth of antiquities and rich history came alive through the fascinating stories that Gilad told us as we visited each of the many points of interest. My wife has Jewish heritage and I Christian. Gilad displayed an equal detailed understanding and knowledge of both. We also visited and bathed in the Dead Sea, and shopped in the various street markets and sampled the fabulous street food as well and some small local eateries. Apart from his exceptional professionalism Gilad displayed his very kind and gentle nature as we walked the streets of Jerusalem and the many locals recognized and greeted him. Even the wild birds and cats seemed to know that he was ready to share his snacks with them as we passed by. I thoroughly recommend Gilad Suffrin without hesitation. I cannot imagine enjoying a more informative or memorable experience

Gilad Suffrin was the ideal private tour guide for us to see the Holy Land October 2 to 7 20013. He was personal, knowledgeable and enjoyable as we traveled from one sight to next learning more than we ever could have imagined. After 6 days in Israel touring with Gilad we were sad to say goodbye and felt like leaving a dear friend who shared his wisdom, his friendship with us. We highly recommend him to anyone who wants to have a trip of lifetime.
