Beautiful new place in the heart of Basel. Fantastic decoration and lovely staff welcoming everyone. The coffee is great but the highlight of the place is sandwiches.. I ate the brown eggs with eggplant and many others tasty things. It’s so delicious ! The bread is amazing. Highly recommend !

Nice local Cafe in Bazel area. The coffee was great and there are a lot of fresh pastries and sandwiches to choose from. Even though the place was full there are plenty of seating options in the vicinity.

Delivery review: Our order was consisted out of the cauliflower cutlets sandwich and vegetable with feta salad and also have order a loaf of the quinoa nuts bread :) everything arrived very fresh, the salad was excellent (the dressing was just perfect). The sandwich was delicious, just a bit small and since we got it in a gluten free bread, it fell apart a bit. This deli does not serve many options on its menu, but the quality is very high:)

I'm a bit biased since I spent many coffee mornings here. It is a small place that is very busy in the mornings and afternoons. Has great coffee and a lot of vegan/vegetarian options including sophisticated and very good sandwiches. Also, there is a variety of pastries that are great! And the option to get the coffee in a glass cup, I hate to get the coffee in a disposable cup.

Mela's warm and cozy ambiance, coupled with friendly and attentive staff, made it the perfect spot to unwind and have a break with a great coffee and lots of food options.

My favorite cafe. Such delicious vegan options. The sandwiches and salads are perfect. The pastries are delicious. The drinks I crave everyday. The only bummers: it’s small and it’s hard to come by seating, and all the delicious things are necessarily available everyday. But ugh, I love this place.

Great place to sit and eat/drink. There’s many vegan options of food, desserts and drinks. I ate there couple of times already and loved the chocolate chips vegan cookie, the iced chai latte and their salads. The place is very welcoming and there’s many sits outside.

Used to take here good matcha latte before met manager who refused to provide me a service without me wearing mask though I have medical reasons for that , no longer a customer of a place supporting segregation!

Cool little place with great original sandwiches and baked goods, and excellent coffee. Very vegan friendly with a selection of vegan dishes clearly labeled and a variety of plant based milk. Always a favorite stop for me.
