Very friendly and helpful staff! The room was great and didn't show signs of wear and was very clean. The hotel sits right by one of the gates in the Old City and is a short walk to the night market. The pool area was very relaxing and provided a great way to escape the heat. My room was decorated with beautiful terracotta artwork. Overall, the hotel gives a cozy and quiet vibe. Would definitely stay there again if I am in Chiang Mai.

Stayed here for 5 nights in November and it is a lovely hotel. It is only around 7 years old, but feels like a well maintained hundred year old building. The staff are very friendly & helpful. We had one of the smaller rooms, but it was very comfortable, with a balcony .The swimming pool is nice & clean and a delightful way to cool down. We payed £300 for the 5 nights, excluding breakfast. However, breakfast was available when required. There are plenty of places to sit & relax within the hotel. The hotel is well located and an easy walk to cafes, Wats and much more. Highly recommended.

It was the second time we stayed at this hotel and we think it's the best place to stay in Chiang Mai. The staff is really the soul of the hotel, they were very friendly and hospitable and made us feel at home. The building itself is a piece of art with terracotta sculptures everywhere and beautiful wooden furniture. The rooms are clean and spacious. Perfect location in the old town.

The service you get in this hotel is excellent! We were ordering some breakfasts for take away because we had some tours during our stay and everything was working smoothly only one time they forgot and we needed to wait for it…. The hotel is in a very good location, we liked that there were not bars or restaurants open during our stay because we noticed the rest of the hotels around were located next to busy areas. “Smile” helped us at the end to get a taxi to the airport, even though we used Grab, some drivers can be a bit naughty. So I will totally give 5 stars and we definitely would stay here again! :) THANK YOU Phor Liang-Team!

The staff at the hotel was extremely helpful and kind. We were welcomed with tea and a Thai treat. There is so much extra care in the details of the hotel. Hotel is very clean. Location is wonderful, 5 minute walk to the weekend market which did not disappoint. Many great options for food & coffee nearby.

Lovely hotel and very hospitable staff. Special mention to Khun Peach at the front desk! She helped us with tour recommendations and also suggested budget friendly guides/taxi drivers to take us around.

Clean, friendly staff, stunning wood carving decoration. This place feels like an old time beautiful museum, you'll find many good spots for IG photos (only if you like to, otherwise enjoy it!) Location! It is in the old town, so convenient walking to the night market and food stalls, yet it is located in a quiet alley. The morning market outside is so much fun to explore and buy local breakfast. It is close to the airport so you don't need to waste much time on transportation. The room is spacious but I wish they place a small sitting sofa, there's only a bed and a TV table. Though we don't stay inside much and if we eat at the room, we sit at the balcony. Also a luggage table rack would be helpful. Overall, I highly recommend this place!

The hotel is very nicely decorated with terracotta bed head board. It has a nice balcony overlooking the neighborhood. There is a daily wet market right next to the hotel, which gives you opportunities to explore. I got fresh fruits and juice, and late night noodles from there. Weekend night markets are in walking distace too. I recommend staying there, if you plan to stay in Old City Chiang Mai.

I could not say enough about how much I loved staying at this hotel! They arranged pick up for us at a fairly reasonable price from the airport, and we had an amazing 4-night stay here. Due to a clerical error on my part, my fiance and I were forced to book a double room for the first night, and then a room with two twin beds for the following 3 evenings of our stay. Upon arrival, Sam, the manager, was gracious enough to have reserved a double-bed room for us that was cancelled last minute and allowed us to switch over with zero hassle. The art within the hotel was gorgeous and the pool area was small but quiet and relaxing. They also offered complimentary coffee every morning, as well as cold water and tea in the lobby throughout the day. The front-desk staff were incredibly helpful and amenable and assisted me in planning our early day trips with recommendations on where to go and how best to get there. We did not have the breakfast at the hotel, as the location was so close to the Chiang Mai gate which had a market that was open from early morning (6am) until late night (11pm or so). The staff even went the extra mile as allowing us to have an additional bed in one of our rooms on the final night when a member of our group caught a cold and did not want to risk anyone else falling ill. All in all, the hotel art, convenient location, amenities and staff cannot be beat, not to mention the agreeable cost per night!

The most beautiful hotel. 😍 Great location to explore the town, go to the markets or just relax by the pool or in garden. Delicious breakfast exquisitely presented and served. Packed breakfast if you live early. The rooms are beautifully decorated, very comfortable, luxurious accessories and everything one needs for a great break. And above all, great customer service from all employees. A true gem and highly recommended if you visit the town.

Overall, I would rate the place a 4. Service is excellent, and the stuff is very nice and friendly. The location is great, you can walk to a lot of restaurants or you can get a taxi for great prices anywhere. The room wasn't as good as we expected. The balcony was not a good place to sit, and it faced a not so nice looking place. Make sure you request a room facing the pool. We stayed at the opposite side of the pool, and we think staying at the pool side would be much nicer. Also, our washroom smelled like food. It was probably somehow connected to the kitchen through a fan. We had to keep the door closed the whole time, and we kept our towels outside of the washroom because they smelled like food. We asked if they had another room available, but unfortunately, they were fully booked. The breakfast was very basic and not great but the coffee was very tasty. The hotel is an old building which is kinda nice because of the architecture. It has a good chilling vibe.

This hotel is in the old city and is a little off the beaten track if you thrive on the nightlife and the bar scene. Having got that out of the way, the hotel itself is within walking distance of restaurants and some sight seeing places, as well as numerous massage spaces...we had massages everyday. The staff are wonderful, all of them eager to help, we're vegetarians and they pointed out places for us to eat, on our 2nd day there, after a whole day at Chiangrai, one of them even called a restaurant and made sure they'd be open so we could have dinner. (can't remember your name but it was a Friday night). And Smile who helped with our airport transfer etc...Thanks to all the staff. The room was spacious and comfortable with a pool view. No complaints at all.

  • 3/5 Mateusz T. 4 months ago on Google
The hotel is located in an excellent location, very close to the night market where you could enjoy local delicacies for a proverbial steal :). The hotel itself has an original finish with plenty of green plants. Unfortunately, the worst part is the soundproofing of the rooms. The balcony doors practically let in all the noise from the surroundings, making nearby noises bothersome. You can see signs of aging on most items in the room, especially in the bathroom. An additional downside is the constant reminders that everything has a price if something happens. There was a note in the room with prices for all items in the room, suggesting they could be purchased as souvenirs. But I didn't think anyone would want a TV remote control as a souvenir...

This hotel was amazing. The room design and hotel art is gorgeous and you truly are sleeping in a work of art. The location of the hotel is great- very walkable to a night market, really great local resturaunts, and Wats. Staff were very friendly and even let us take a shower after a night train before our room was ready. Great choice for Chiang Mai stay!

This hotel is beautiful! The rooms are spacious, clean, and comfortable. The staff helped us plan activities, were friendly, and gave us tips on how to make our stay in Chiang Mai a great time! The pool area is stunning and relaxing. It is in a quiet alleyway and is within a few minutes walk to a night market. I would highly recommend staying here!

We are staying here for 2 weeks and just love this hotel! It is in a beautiful setting with lovely grounds and very nice pool that is so refreshing to swim in. The rooms are very spacious and nicely decorated. Beds are very comfortable. The staff are so welcoming, friendly and helpful. They will book tours for you with pick up right from the hotel. The breakfast staff are delightful as is the breakfast buffet with different hot and cold dishes ever day. This is included with your room. They also have a different cooking class demonstration every day at 1pm. The housekeeping staff are very good as well. The location in the old city of Chiang Mai is perfect as well and lots of restaurants and sites to see are within walking distance. We would definitely stay here again!

The check in was smooth and easy. They have a good, well-priced breakfast with coffee and tea available until 2pm. The rooms were very nice and the hotel has an ancient temple motif that makes you feel like you’re in the jungle. Thanks to the employees for checking the room after I left. I forgot a charger and they brought it down before I left. Things like that on an international trip make all the difference.

Had a very pleasant stay there. The breakfast is also really good. The staff were very friendly. They even help you plan your day. A special mention about Smile, with whom we interacted the most. She had very good recommendations about places to visit and helped us in booking bus tickets to Chiang Rai. The place is located in a very good spot in the old town, where you can go to most of the places easily. The interior decors of the stay were so beautiful! Didn’t know they had their own terracotta factory until we went. Guess they’ll even take you to their factory for a day visit if you’re interested.

Loved the terracotta facade and decor of this charming boutique hotel! Location was convenient and quiet, close to a local market and walking streets in the old town. The room was spacious and well appointed, and beds were comfortable—was so nice to have a terrace! Staff were very friendly and went above and beyond to ensure we had a wonderful stay! Coffee was great and we would definitely stay again!!

We absolutely loved staying here, partly because of the character of the hotel with its interesting Buddhist reliefs on the walls, beautiful gardens and pool area. But the highlight was the staff who were so welcoming, professional and kind. Thank you especially to Sam and Smiley, as well as others whose names I didn't catch, for such a wonderful stay. You made all the difference and are stand outs in the hospitality industry. Sally and Niels Australia

The location is ideal, the rooms are large, comfortable and very clean. The staff is very nice and caring. Here you will really feel comfortable and safe. I want to thank Sam separately. It is the heart of this hotel. He loves his job and is a professional. Next time I will back here again.

Had such a nice stay here! The staff are so helpful, friendly, and welcoming. The terracotta artwork is incredible and the room well laid out and comfortable. The pool was very refreshing to cool off in in the afternoons with calm gardens and high terracotta walls surrounding it. The location is fantastic for exploring the old town, and the majority of the major temples are within walking distance. Never stayed at a hotel so unique before, and never been to a city like Chiang Mai before - loved it! My only issues were that breakfast didn’t seem great value for money - the sausages being of poor quality and the bacon overcooked. More fruit would have been good, as I only got 2 thin slices of pitaya and a small banana. I got a whole sliced pineapple for 20 baht at the market so I know more is possible! The balcony also was in need of a clean due to the nearby birds, although I’m sure this could have been arranged if I’d asked at reception.

The hotel is okay. The staff is friendly. It could be much cleaner in the room and there was not a very nice smell coming from the bathroom from time to time. Also the breakfast was not very good and it took forever. The location is very near the old town centre but I would not come back as there is only markets and is quite dark and very dirty around the hotel. Also, no good restaurants around.

This is a super little hotel in a great location. Rooms were very spacious and clean, ours opened up onto the pool. The breakfast was served all on a tray and we chose to eat outside as the weather was wonderful. Great location also. The front of house staff were super, very friendly and helpful. Would definitely recommend this hotel.

I picked this hotel by random but ended up loving it. The room was spacious, clean and modern. The hotel architecture was warm and authentic. But the best part was the hotel staff, who were so kind, helpful and always offered a “Welcome Back!” each time we returned from a long day of sightseeing. My one suggestion is to get better pillows. But I highly recommend this hotel and won’t hesitate to stay here again.

Absolutely loved it here. The rooms are spacious, quiet and clean. The artwork throughout is gorgeous. All staff are warm and welcoming - special thanks to Peach and Smile for going out of their ways to make our stay as comfortable and fun as possible. One of the nicest hotels at a very reasonable price!

We loved this hotel. It is just beautiful !Location was great, lots of restaurants around. Service was great, very helpful staff, and the pool was amazing. We didn’t try the breakfast but the little cafe just outside the hotel was perfect for us, with a lot of breakfast choices. I would just say that the rooms were a bit noisy, we were hearing lots of sound at night from outside the hotel. But overall it was great and we had a very good time.

Simply the best place to stay in Chiang Mai. Unique with its pieces of art in every room. Great position. Incredible staff that will help you organizing every tour and excursion you will like to do. Also for any kind of questions, they will be there for you. Great breakfast. Absolutely suggested.

Lovely hotel in the centre of Chiang Mai. Rooms are big and clean and we loved the pool. Eventhough the hotel is in the centre, it is actually peaceful and quiet. Staff was lovely, with special thanks to host Sam who made us feel at home. Breakfast isn’t great, but the location and lovely staff make up for it.

Stayed here may 2022. Highly recommended. The vibe of the hotel is wonderful with the terracotta and the art. The staff where wonderful. Highly recommend going through them for local tours, we did up to Doi suthep and the village at the top of the mountain. The pool is nice as well. It is a little tucked away but super close to the street food markets and quite central to everything.

This is a very decent three-four star hotel. It is beautifully decorated in old style with lots of art items. Rooms are spacious and have everything you need. (I had suite). Breakfast need to be pre ordered one day in advance, but I think it is good, as it minimizes food waste, which is already too big on the planet. It also prevents overeating, which is very good in Thailand with all the options around. Staff is very friendly and helpful. What makes me sad that it is only three star, as some improvements could make it more comfortable. For example pool area is not very swim inviting. In the room the balcony couch does not look clean and had a lot of weird stains, so we avoid sitting there and prefer chairs. In-room mosquito repellent could have been nice touch. When we checked in, there was also huge dead beetle on the balcony floor, half eaten by ants. Bathroom has a bit weird smell unfortunately it is quite common problem in Chiang Mai’s old city. Minibar is not present so fridge is free to store there more delicious fruits from market nearby. However as in many more budget places, fridge shuts down together with all electricity when you are leaving the room, so be careful of eating that yoghurt you bought two days ago. Overall, despite above mentioned details, room is comfortable and quite good to sleep. On one night it was quite noisy because of some action happening on the street near hotel, but most of the time it is quite quiet.

Highly recommend. Fantastic location in the heart of the ancient city. Staff are the friendliest which is saying something as everyone in Thailand is super friendly. Close to many temples, street markets and some really quirky restaurants. Rooms spotless and cleaned daily. The building is architecturally beautiful

We loved this hotel. The location was perfect - in the old town, near a lot of street food, restaurants and cafes. The stuff was so welcoming and helpful. The swimming pool was nice as well and the room was standard and just fine for us

We traveled as a couple and loved the place. The stuff is super nice and very helpful. The receptionist actually sat with us for an hour and helped us experience Chiang mai as locals. The rooms are nice with AC and pool view. Very beautiful design.
