There were 6 of us and we booked a table for 3.30pm. We arrived earlier than the booking time and ordered some drinks and were escorted to our table. We each ordered a main meal and each chose something different. I ate the vegetarian option, mushroom stroganoff and it was delicious. We all enjoyed our meal and altogether the meals and drinks came to a total of Β£114. Very reasonably priced!

I took my elderly aunt and uncle there. The food was fabulous. I had my favourite bacon and brie baguette with chip. The prices were good too. If you sit outside, you can look over the sea. It was beautiful. Ramp for wheelchairs too.

The food, the sun and the view! Worth every penny! The day we chose was one of the few hot days we had this summer, it was crowded hence there was a delay in service but totally understand!

Beautiful views over to the white cliffs and sea. Can also see the windmill farm at the distance into the sea. Food was very well presented and delicious.

They serving drinks before 12, but for food you need wait to 12 noon. However, it is worth waiting for your food, with a coffee or a cold "drink with foam". The portions are huge and the food is delicious. Parking, however, is Β£10 "per day", try to say you are going to a restaurant. apparently then the parking is paid by the restaurant. There are places for the disabled. If you are allergic to fur, take a place inside the premises, not outside. On the terrace you can smoke and there are water bowls for dogs. Great, but my allergy came right away. Point for taking care of pets and smokers. It would be useful to allocate 1/3 of the terrace for those allergic to smoke and fur. I recommend a visit to this place. And one more thing. There was no longer atolija on the booking site, but I managed to find it after arriving in the wild. try. it's worth it.

The pub is situated in a very nice place, that’s the only pub around that area! The food was average, it took more than 45 mins to serve. I’m giving 3 stars just for the nice location

Stumbled on this pub on our walk, decided to stop for a drink and ended up staying for some food. Loved the outdoor seating and you can't beat the view of the Kingsgate Bay & the castle. The service was quick, friendly and very attentive. The food was very delicious, they had my favourite as specials, whitebait and tempura prawns. I wasn't a big fan of the Marie rose sauce, but you can't go wrong with the sweet chilli sauce. My boyfriend had the stilton & broccoli pasta, which was tasty, could have done with a pinch more seasoning. We got some cheesy chips which we dipped in the pasta sauce, which was rich.

So, I'll give this a 3, because the view and atmosphere is beautiful, and the service was amazing, but I was so sadly disappointed in the vegan food. The burger patty itself was delicious because I'm assuming it was the Beyond Meat patty, but they put absolutely no love into the food... the roll was too big meaning the burger was so dry, they put almost no relish on it as advertised meaning it was even more dry and they really could have griddled the cheese a bit (vegan cheese obviously does not melt like regular cheese). The chips were so overcooked they snapped in half and were dry. The people next to me looked like they had amazing food so I'm hoping if ever I return, this oversight is rectified.

Nice pub/resteraunt overlooking botany bay with view of the castle. I ate baked potato with chilli, good portion, quick and friendly service, and very tasty. Came with little pot of salad also option of cheese.

The restaurant is on the cliff in Kingsgate Bay. We have ordered Chicken Cajun Burger and the plate worth for the price. Staff is nice. Definately recommended to visit!

Down in Broadstairs visiting family. We haven't been in the Digby for quite a while so party a test and partly to see it was as good as we remember. We weren't disappointed. Great pub grub, great price and a great view. Would we go back, indeed. Good value all round.

Good pub food with outdoor seating and beautiful beach views of Kingsgate bay and of the big castle nearby. Also has kids play area indoors and a little outdoor park area. Parking is free if you dine here and you can hop over to the beach for a stroll.

This wonderfully located pub is perched on a clifftop overlooking Kingsgate beach. Service was attentive, courteous and efficient. Food delivery was prompt and pleasant. The food itself was excellent and thoroughly enjoyable. I shall definitely return.

Visited with the family. Great location on the cliffs. The playground at the back kept the kids amused. There's also a soft play inside. The kids meal portion was pretty small even for a kids menu. The food was ok. Didn't try the beer. Watch out if you sit outside, the seagulls are feisty!

Sunday trip got us to this amazing location, we were starving after a day out with our little doggies and we wanted some fresh food and a nice view, we ordered burgers and fish and chips and it was vert tasty and very fresh, quick service from staff and great customer service, we choose to stay outside and not sure dogs are allowed in so better ask in advance!

Staff were incredibly helpful and did everything they could to accommodate our needs. Separate menu for allergies and they sent the manager over to discuss. Food was nice, not excellent but not bad for pub grub. Kids loved the play area, both indoor and out.

Pub with parking, outside seating with great sea view. Food although a bit pricey was good and so was the service, nothing to complain about really. There is also a playground out the back for the kids.

Very good location on top of the white cliffs. Bit difficult to get to without a car - walking from Broadstairs took around 45 mins and then we had to call a taxi back after dinner. Booked a pre-birthday dinner for the gf and the food was pretty good value for money and decent considering it's pub grub. I've defo had better food but wouldn't be able to say at the same price.

Great place. Staff are accommodating and friendly. Great indoor play area for the kids and also an outside play area when the weather is nice with a great beer garden overlooking the sea. Food is great and modestly priced. I had the sirloin steak with Stilton on top (pictured). It was cooked to order and very tasty. Overall I can't fault it.

This place advertises themselves as the finest family pub and restaurant, honestly not impressed, they not dog friendly, the place has so many tables and no kitchen to cover them, they’re not ready for anything more than ordering drinks which took forever, the manager spoke very loudly to me whilst standing in front of him, people could hear him at the 100 meters away, honestly I found the place has a rather unpleasant attitude, it would have been great if the place adapted a more customer centric approach, and maybe have bbq truck or food truck for the outside table if their kitchen is too small to provide. Honestly an absolute buzz killer. Not recommended

We visited with an adult child in a power wheelchair. We found the pub terrace and accessible toilet to be full accessible to us. We did not attempt to access the inside of the pub. We really enjoyed our visit. Staff were friendly and the food arrived within 15 minutes. Portion sizes were generous, and the views over the beach and cliffs were beautiful. There is also a great accessible walk along the cliffs from the pub.

RATING ONLY FOR FOOD!! I wish service would have been better and the staff. Food was really delicious. I must say that the chef is saving this restaurant. We ordered both veg and non veg food and all were flavourful. I can say that this was best food I ever had in such country side pubs. I wish manager would have behave better and considered our request which he kept rejected. We requested to sit inside because it was too windy and we were with young kids. Most of the tables in the restaurant were empty but manager didnt let us to sit inside. FORTNIGHTLY one girl from staff helped us and don't know what manager would have said to her later. She was very kind to us.

What a great place to visit beautiful location plenty of parking, seating. We took a table outside with the clifftop views stunning! And decided to have a lunch! And what a great menu they have for all tastes. We went for the burgers and cajun butterfly chicken bread and Wow what huge serving we got hot fresh and tasty all washed down with lovely cold drinks. I would definitely recommend this place to others and have already planned our next visit. 10/10...

😠 I only visit Margate twice a year for days out. I have gone into the Mechanical Elephant on each visit to order breakfast. When I visited last year, the food was virtually cold & I had to return it. I thought that a year on, it could not be that bad again. I visited about 8:30am & there were only tw...
