We were recommended to go there so we thought we'd try it. We had fish and chips, battered mushrooms, and loaded garlic bread. The meal was so good. The only thing qe had a bit of a disappointment was there wasn't enough garlic on the garlic bread. But the rest was awesome.

Super good food and service. My husband wouldn't even put ketchup on his fries they were so hot and delicious. We tried the Irish coffee. That was so good. Ha-we are nearly 70 years old and never had Irish coffee. To the server that suggested this...THANK YOU.

My friends and I came to check out the live band at Donnelly's. What a great Band. The atmosphere was fantastic and the servers were so amazing. Ordered the house burger...very delicious. Hope to visit again.

Great patio to sit on on a warm night. There was live music, and the server didnt let us sit with an empty drink for long. Food was good! We will be back.

Fantastic for service and a good mix of live music to take advantage of the shaded courtyard. As a regular customer our go-to is the BBQ Bacon Burger. Fish/Chips and Sheppards Pie are also exceptional!

Food and entertainment are top notch. De-alcoholized (pretend) beer selection is very weak.

I recently visited Donnelly's Pub in Thorold, Ontario, and I must say I was thoroughly impressed. The service was exceptional - friendly and attentive, making me feel welcomed and comfortable from the moment I walked in. But the real highlight was the food. The menu has an impressive selection, and everything I ordered was absolutely mouth-watering. I was blown away by how delicious it was, and everything was cooked to perfection. And let's not forget about the beer - it's always cold and refreshing, the perfect complement to the amazing food. Overall, Donnelly's Pub is definitely worth a visit. With great service, mouth-watering food, and ice-cold beer, you won't be disappointed. Highly recommend!

great fish, ff were ok not the best but ok, Coleslaw tastes like whomever was making the salad shredded the cabbage walked away and never returned to season it. Still one of the better fish n chip dinners.. but look after the small details.. cold food with cold food hot with hot ie; coleslaw with fish n chips served warm :-(

Food: flavourful hot and good presentation. Wait staff: friendly and exceptionally fast. Great outdoor space and very clean. Good flow to the design made it easy to navigate and no crowded feel. Another hidden gem in Thorold.

We went on an extremely busy Friday evening with a rock concert happening beside this place that same evening it was a bustling plus Friday is Fish n Chip Special. The fish n chips were excellent, great value 10.99 for 1 piece with fries and coleslaw! Live music on the patio was also really good!

Attended on November 18/23 I had the popcorn shrimp and chips and my friend had fish and chips. Excellent!! Waitress was very bubbly and really enjoyed her job.

Amazing place. Super friendly staff. Food is amazing and they are always trying new things. They have live music Friday Saturday and Sundays. The last Wednesday of each month they host an open mic for local talent to come out and expand their chops. If you are in town and looking for a good time so not pass on Donnelly's pub

Small place but that lends well to the great vibe for a weekend afternoon early evening band. We didn't eat however it sure looked and smelled good! We'll be back.

The Irish Onion soup on Friday was awesome. Unfortunately, on Saturday, it was not. There were barely any onions, the cheese was missing, and it was warm, not hot. So, first meal had us coming back for more, second trip left us thinking we probably wouldn't be back.

I live across the street in one of the apartments on Front Street. I appreciate all the live music I get to hear from Donnelly's on Saturday and Sunday, no sarcasm. Seems like a great place, I'll definitely stop by for a pint one day when I am not drowning in university school work. Keep it up and thanks for the free entertainment from the comfort of my home.

I wish I had taken few pictures of the patio! We had it to ourselves this afternoon. Despite the lack of sun the temp was perfect and the food was amazing! Good times with some old friends with a 30+ year history. The service was AMAZING. Highly recommended, A++

Great spot to grab a pint, have some delicious food (highly reccomend the Irish nachos) and watch bands! Very warm and welcoming staff as well! Great spot to go if you're in the Thorold area!

Good service, good food. A solid selection of beer, and the chicken wings were tasty and not small.

Had a nice pint of Guinness. Server was friendly. Place was very quiet, a little dark. Not an awful experience. Seemed to cater towards an older crowd, but I didn't feel unwelcome.

I've ordered from Skip here and ate in person before the pandemic. Amazing service, food is always fresh and hot. I recommend this place to all my friends, can't wait to eat here in person again!
