My expectations for a cafe in a park are normally low. But this cafe really surprised me! Most of their menu is vegan friendly and their dishes quality and taste are incredible. Also worth mentioning the great coffee they make with alpresso beans and oatly milk. Will certainly go back!

Super busy on Saturdays with 30min wait for food but worth it. Just bring a book to read while you wait.

Lovely food. But the breakfast and lunch transition doesn't work. They make breakfast until 12. When you order at 12 there's 25 minutes for them to clean down breakfast. So ordering lunch at 12 if you have a small impatient child may not be a great move!

Lots of seating both inside and outside so you'll be fine for sitting. Staff are prompt, polite and helpful. The food tasty, good portion sizes and they have a good range of beers and even Fairtrade lemonade for the ethically minded. Open quite late and they're not too pushy at the end. The mud cafe out the back is fun for the kids.

A dog friendly cafe in a dog not welcome town. I tried 3 pubs, was turned away. The food was nice, tasty, had the burger and coffee. Would of given 5 stars but dogs only welcome indoors at the rear. Hey at least we're inside.

Arrived on a dull winter afternoon, first visit. Enjoyed a late lunch, which was delicious. I chose the chicken Caesar burger, and my husband chose the seabass. All freshly cooked and tasty. I wasn't expecting chips as well, but they came and were very tasty with salty rosemary flavours. The burger was complemented with a garlicky dressing. Finished up with flat white coffee, which also hit the spot. The rustic decor and menu choices make it a place to highly recommend.

Great place to take your family out. Springtime is wonderful. They have a mini lake there, a place to ride bikes, junky food which will attract kids. There's nice scenery to take photos. Had a great time here. Food is pricey, but there's also salad 🥗 around.

Excellent coffee. Good strenght Americano. Taste great, guess fresh roast 100% arabica. Picture is from half way down, when I realized how good the coffee was.

Our first time at this cafe ..what can I say ! Lovely, lovely staff. Pleasant , polite and kind .Food and hot drinks good too. Plus I had left my phone on a bench in the park .. went back to hopefully find it . A very kind , honest couple had handed it into the cafe. One of the staff noticed the battery was almost out . The quick thinking member of staff out it on charge. Thoughtful thing to do . The staff answered after my daughter in laws call and handed my phone back to me . Eternally grateful to the kind couple who had the decency to hand it in to the cafe ..and Thanks to the lovely staff for using their initiative to charge the battery up . The lovely afternoon continued , thanks to all. Looking forward to visiting this friendly cafe again soon . Well done staff !!

A MUST-PLACE TO VISIT! An absolutely delightful little cafe. It's dog friendly, the food is close to perfect, the location is a treat, the staff are great, and opening hours are really family-friendly.

After a very long walk on a hot day, we were looking forward to sitting down for a snack and a cold drink. We really just wanted a sandwich but there weren't any, so we had a light lunch. The food was very nice, my only complaint was that the drinks were not chilled at all. It's a nice setting and the staff were friendly. They were very busy. It was all good, but a cold drink would gave made all the difference.

Very poor and limited lunch menu, not even an all day breakfast option. Basically a hipster menu, avoid if you are looking for a satisfying meal. Ordered a double shot flat white coffee, extra hot, received a really milky just warm drink. I avoided anything off the menu, as there was nothing that would suit me, ended up with a scone, which was very dry, my wife had the shatshuka, egg was like rubber and zero flavour, even the flat bread seemed stale. Previous owners menus were far superior. Dissapointing is how I would describe this cafe now. Unfortunately, I won't be returning.

I have not tasted the actual food offerings because I am a sweet fiend and when I see a brownie I have to have it! I had an oat milk latte and a brownie and lets just say, i will be heading there with or without my dog for more of the same very soon! The cafe is clean and spacious with outdoor seating. You can take your dog in to order but not to sit and eat, which is fine as there is plenty of space outside. The food is really well priced especially considering the location and from the people eating in there, the food looked really well presented and portioned. Their menu is sustainable and locally sourced. I'm looking forward to going backfor more treats! (oh and for a lovely walk around the lakes and river colne!)

Really good food ! Always….! There was a phase when it went a bit too plant based for my liking… but today I ate this gorgeous brekkie made with real butter! And service is always with a smile here! Thank you

Awesome vegan and GF menu (and clearly marked), the small plates are pretty filling and really creative. Staff are nice but the whole place is a little chaotic - I struggled to find cutlery and the cold drinks were in a fridge that wasn't on.

A wonderful surprise, glorious soup, hummus, bread and lunch, then a perfect walk around the lake. But the food here was so so good.

On a New Year's Day, this cafe was exceptionally busy, but the staff were pleasant and working hard to keep up with customer demand, well done! We were told there would be a 30 minute wait for food, expectations managed. We had brought a trivia game to keep our intergenerational family amused, and before we knew it, the food had arrived. I love the variety of food they serve, particularly the vegetarian offerings. Thank you for a wonderful cafe experience!

Lovely place to stop for a coffee or something to eat. Good selection of drinks and food available, fresh cakes are always worth a look. Staff are friendly and helpful. Set in nice surroundings with excellent walks. Also available are treats for dogs so it's not just the walkers that can relax with a treat but the dogs as well.

Great car park, free and plenty of space to park. The food and coffee is absolutely delicious! Cakes are even more delicious. The service was brilliant! When you place your order, you're asked your name and the waitresses bring your food/drinks to your table. Very kind ,helpful staff. There is an outside seating area as well as the ' queit area' which was great! Lots of lovely woodland to walk around
