The Boot hosted our wedding at the end of June this year. We’ve always loved The Boot as place to eat or drink and were delighted they were able to accommodate us for our reception. From the moment we first enquired Zoe and her team were exceptional. Nothing was too much trouble - and despite the ever changing guidelines for CV-19 we were always reassured that it would be the best it could be. We were given the freedom to decorate the terrace area to our taste popping up some decorations on the morning. The team set everything up for us and when we walked in we were overwhelmed with how perfect everything looked - with some great personal additions! So many of our guests commented on how good the team were, keeping drinks topped up and quick table service for other drinks! The food was fantastic and just what we wanted - again with plenty of positive comments for our guests. We looked at so many different types of venues and caterers for our big day and are both so happy that we decided to use our favourite pub! It was special to us before and even more so now! A big thank you to Zoe, Nick and the whole team!

The starters were good but don’t have ‘the Boots famous roast beef roll’ it was cold, pale and insipid and the meat was tasteless. The waitress didn't check on our meal and the experience spoiled my son’s birthday.

We went on Sunday for breakfast. Very good. Nice atmosphere. The service and the staff excelent, ones of the best we have seen. Really nice place in a beatuful village. We will come back. We loved the pub. The only "but" is that outside in the front door by the outdoor tables there were a lot of cigarretes on the floor and ash trays completely full (this is why not 5*). Perhaps there was an event or something the evening before because Inside was tidy and clean....and again, the stuff lovely.

Honestly, the best pub in miles! We are a family of 4 and the kids absolutely love the bouncy castle and multiple play area. There are a selection of sunny and shaded area outside. The food is delicious too (and the kids portions are just right)!

Delicious dirty burger has it all...loaded with bacon, Stilton, mushrooms, tomatoes, lettuce, gherkin, onion rings, hunk of juicy meat, freshly made slaw and fat chips. Great service and beers! This place was a wonderful find, to sit in the autumnal sun.

Beautiful pub which suits the whole family. Really really good food, lovely atmosphere, great staff and wonderful play equipment for the kids. I didn't bring my children this time and it wasn't "too family-ish" meaning it can be enjoyed by all at all times! There were families, dates, girls catch ups and all sorts going on. Beautiful venue!

Great staff. Good food. The table layout is a bit crowded. This place is unnecessarily over priced.

We had an excellent lunch at the Boot on the August bank holiday Monday. We booked a table for 6 adults and 3 children very last minute and they managed to accommodate us much to our delight. The food was really excellent. But special mention must go to Imi who served us. She was incredibly welcoming and thoughtful to the kids and nothing was too much trouble. Thanks so much for such a great experience.

Cozy place, with a good terrace for children. In winter perfect for a warm lunch in the pub. The staff was great, really efficient. And all the food we order for a big group was tasty and delicious. Highly recommended.

Had the best dinner at the boot. Such a tasty sizzling beef noodle dish off their specials menu it was incredible! My little boy demolished his pasta too. Great kids menu and place to take kids. Loads of play equipment in the garden and a bouncy castle! Staff and service was ⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Highly recommend!

Zoe and the team were incredible at helping me organise my 40th at the boot using their outdoor marquee. The food and service were excellent and we all had the best day. Thank you Zoe see you again soon!

Used as a stop for a circular walk. The staff were super lovely and chatty, welcoming me, 2 kids and a hot dog. The gardens are great - particularly if you have kids. Bouncy castle! Climbing frames! Enclosed spaces!! The food however was pretty bad. Sorry! Chips that had the potato fried out of existence so they were like hollow sticks with oil. Fish where the batter was solid and, seeping oil. I feel bad leaving a poor food review as the staff were so nice. We’ll come back for drinks. Skip the food. My youngest 9yo said “these chips are ok dad. I managed to eat some of them. But they are the worst chips I’ve ever had”

Great pub with good food. The outdoor play area is great for kids as it's enclosed and you don't have to worry about the kids escaping or running anywhere too far. The halloumi poke bowl and sweet potato zucchini crumble were fantastic. -1 star because the burgers were pretty dry.

Visited The Boot for the first time last night with friends. Everything was good. Service was really friendly, with our waitress patiently explaining the different options and answering our questions. There's a varied menu, with a large set of specials on the blackboard. All the meals were tasty and well-presented. I had the lamb pie, which was excellent. Price wise we thought it was good value actually. We'd definitely go back the The Boot.

A group of family booked ahead for lunch on bank holiday Monday and this place did not disappoint! The roasts were out of this world. Huge portions so the price of £18 for roast beef was justified. The meat itself was incredibly tender and tasted amazing. Would recommend!! I read another review about the chips but I disagree, they were delicious! Huge fat chips / just perfect. Staff were very attentive and polite. Play area outside fab for kids, they had a bouncy castle as well as the playground. Will definitely be returning. 😋
