This motel was horrendous. One of the worst I've ever stayed in and would never recommend anyone to stay here. My wife, my friends and I are military and we drove 6 hours to spend the weekend at the Jersery Shore. We got in late at night and when we got into bed we found bugs in the pillows, stained sheets, and old skin flakes. My wife was so disgusted that she couldn't sleep the rest for the night. That was even the worst part, when the rest of our party arrived, they missed check in and were told to come back tomorrow. They knocked on our door to let us know what happened and as we were talking about finding a solution. The manager came outside and started yelling at us, rudely swearing and threatening to call the cops on my friends. My buddies were respectful and tried to explain to him the situation (how we had a long drive from the base and were exhausted), but he keep yelling at them. They didnt want to make a scene and left for the night and found a hotel down the road. We were so outraged and shocked that we left with our friends and found another room. We are still waiting to see if they will refund us after we made our complaints. The fact that service members who fight to defend our freedoms were so badly treated on the 4th of July is disgraceful and the manager should be ashamed of himself. Please spread the word, this establishment is terrible quality and service and they dont deserve any business ( especially from military).

Well, I showed up around 9:30 with a friend who helped me out with a room, my friend paid for it and had left. My friend also stated that it was fine for my boyfriends mother to stay with me the night since she drove from South Carolina to help with a difficult situation. The owner came out when she arrived and kicked us all off the property. He was screaming he was name calling and threatening us. We had to leave after 5 minutes. I really hope you don't have this experience with the owner if you are reading this. I am still shaking at how quickly he started screaming and even followed me into the room while I was by myself in a threatening manner. Mind you, I'm a 5 foot 4 girl 105 pounds. He's a bigger guy who can throw his weight around probably 400 pounds and 6 foot something. This is not a professional business owner. I really hope if you stay your experiences will be better.

The room was fine but the manager had no bed side manor at all. He was rude and mean and to strict. He would ask my mom to leave after 8:00 p.m even if she was dropping off food for us to cook, or supplies to clean with ext.. I understand rules and all but that was a little bit over board. We are very unhappy to even have come to this hotel, even with being homeless we wouldn't ever stay here again. We also had lot of issues with the internet , it was horrible.The only good thing was the pool even though it never stayed open from 9 a.m till 6 p.m as it says on the rules and on the pool signs.

The management was graceful after learning we were homeless and being placed here by not only the Salvation Army but by a a local church as well. BUT we were placed in the worst rooms ever! I am sorry but for four days... How can you live without atleast a table in the room. No carpet, no curtains and well being treated like trash! I work, my husband has a pending disability case! And no one can help us and we get treated this way! I hope somehow this comes out for the better!

Allot of people give this place a bad rap, especially the lady talking about felons and basically the poor, but I’ve been here a month and I havnt had any problems whatsoever a very comfortable room, and everything within walking distance, I think I’ll do stay for awhile, stuck up people gonna hate. Simple as that

Very small room, have to get your own clean towels from the front desk, no room cleaning services in the three days I stayed there. It was the cheapest place to stay and it definitely shows. I would NOT recommend it but hey if you aren’t too picky and don’t mind sleeping in a jail cell I say go for it.

I had to go to Tom's River for a conference. There was other things going on that weekend, so this was one of the only hotel/ motels with vacancies. The guy in the office (not sure if he was the owner) was extremely creepy. He made inappropriate comments about me traveling alone and not having a man to spend the evening with. I shrugged it off, ignored him and went about my business. The room was fairly clean but I got bitten up over night by bedbugs. I should have known something was up because when I looked at the mattress before going to bed, I saw that the mattress was wrapped in plastic wrap. Yep, you read it right.... ACTUAL PLASTC WRAP, like the one you use to wrap up your leftovers in. I thought it was kind of strange at the time but then I again shrugged it off thinking that maybe that was their way of trying to be proactive, please I was too dang tired and sleepy too care at the time. MY MISTAKE!!! Thankfully I kept my bags in my car. I had parking right in front of my room so it was just a couple of steps to get my clothes out of my car. I stayed at this hotel for two nights. The day after I got home, I started itching like no one's business!!!!! I had bites all over my back, legs, butt, and the backs of my arms!!!!! My doctor confirmed that the bites were indeed consistent with that of bedbugs. Please look into staying somewhere else and skip this hotel!!!!

I felt inclined to leave a review after reading the numerous 1 star reviews for this establishment. My wife, 2 kids, and myself stayed here this past weekend to do a weekend beach trip. My wife booked the room without reading reviews so when we began reading about it, we had major concerns. Here is my honest review after a two night stay. I want to start out by saying that it seem like a vast majority of the 1 star reviews are a case of inflated expectations. This place is meant to be a BUDGET MOTEL. This isn't a 5 star hotel, it isn't going to have large flat screen TVs, jacuzzi tubs, and top end amenities. If these are things you are looking for, save yourself the trouble and book yourself a higher end hotel. You get what you pay for. My next talking point is that I saw reviews mentioning the employee at the front desk was rude and had poor customer service. The gentleman that checked us in and out was nothing but respectful and even interacted with our two children. My guess is if something really did happen, the customer was either being a nuisance or being rude as well. Sure you can pull the old saying "the customer is always right" but I could pull another one, "treat others the way you want to be treated." Now I want to talk about why I took away 2 stars. The 1 star could be gained back after a few easy changes but the other star is something they can't change without major renovations. Lets start with the star they can't gain back. This is the single biggest issue I have with the vast majority of budget motels, thin walls. The combination of other guests (especially the ones above you) and being so close to a busy highway creates a noisy nights sleep. Thankfully my family sleeps with a box fan on so most of the noise was drowned out. If you are someone who needs complete silence, you may not get the best nights sleep here. I will say though, you will be hard pressed to find a budget motel without this problem. The other star I took away was from a combination of things. Here are the talking points. - The towels in the room had visible stains on them. They weren't necessarily dirty, but I think white towels with stains should be replaced with new ones. We always bring our own towels so wasn't a big deal. - The fridge in our room had a spill in it which left behind a sticky mess. Seems it was something that was simply overlooked by house cleaning. Wasn't the end of the world. - The window blinds in our rooms were absolutely filthy. They had a thick layer of dust and other crud. So much so that its clear the blinds are not a cleaning point for house keeping. My advice would be to either deep clean all the blinds, or replace with new ones. - While I understand this is a budget hotel, there are a few things I think every hotel should have. Especially one that is within 10 minutes of the beach. Number one being an ice machine. There is a WAWA within walking distance but ice should be a basic amenity at a hotel. The second one being vending machines with drinks and snacks. If I was staying here after a long drive or was getting in late, it would be nice to have a place on the property to get a quick drink or snack. Overall this motel met my expectations. The room isn't going to take your breath away, it is in the condition you would expect a room to be in after being used by hundreds of guest over x amount of years. It is a good and affordable place to stay for a couple of nights. With a few changes my review for this place would be a 4 out of 5. Again, people need to adjust their expectations. This is meant to be a cheap place to stay for a night or two. I think they do well at that. We would stay again.

Terrible beds and pillows, no phone in room, no ice machine, extremely noisy, small room. No smoking yet big buckets of cigarette butts outside each room which drew the smell into the room. Shady tenants. Nice staff but don't waste your money. Worst night sleep of my life. Stayed 2 days only because nothing else was available. Couldnt her to sleep 1st night, had to buy an air mattress, pillows and sheets in order to sleep the 2nd night.

My daughter and granddaughter live there, the room they are in was nice, and I definitely love the floors.
