This is a hidden gem. A really cool family runned establishment. The Philpino breakfast is awesome. The dinner menu is diverse and has something for everyone. You have to check out Ritz Restaurant, a little old town Toronto feel with a twist. The owners are friendly and make you feel like part of the family. I love this place.

We had a great experience here. Attentive and welcoming service. The food is fantastic. We were especially surprised by how delicious the cassava cake is. We can’t wait to return for the dinner menu. Mind you they close at 4pm Food 5/5 Comfortable and quaint atmosphere Service 5/5 I’m going back for more.

Absolute hidden gem in East York! Ritz has Americana vibes with a Filipino twist. Everything was kept in great condition despite the age of this diner! I highly recommend the dasilog and tapsilog. These are Filipino breakfast items that are served with rice. Dasilog is fried tilapia with and side of vinegar dressing that you drizzle over. The skin is so crispy and the fish is fried perfectly. The saltiness of the fish went really well with the rice! The tapsilog is stir fried beef and the beef was tender and incredibly saucy. Also works super well with a side of rice. There are greens on the plate too to cut into the savory flavor. The portions are more on the smaller side but the quality of the food is there. You can tell the cooking is with care. The cassava cake was honestly the best I’ve had in the city. It was phenomenal and had a buttery top as well as the best soft texture. They sell it to go as well! Such a great spot, reasonable pricing, and homey 50s/60s atmosphere! I definitely ate at the Ritz!

Love this charming little restaurant in Donlands. Although it's not been renovated for years, there's something cute about this place. It offers the classic American Canadian breakfast, but also does fabulous rendition of Filipino lunch and breakfast choices. They further add a classic taste of homemade vinegar to the side of their dishes like Tapsilog and Dasilog. Patrons are usually from around the neighbourhood. This is a Debit card or Cash only place. So make sure you have either or.

It’s our favourite Filipino breakfast spot! It is family run, so the same lady works the front every time you go. We love the adobo and the fried Shanghai, must haves! The lamb shank is one of our faves too. The Karekare, menudo, classic Filipino breakfast- there is absolutely nothing to fault, it’s all fire! The food is great, the space transports you to a nostalgic diner vibe. Highly recommend this local treasure to anyone who just wants a good milkshake with a hearty breakfast or want to try fantastic classic Filipino fare.

Great customer service and food. Would not fully understand why you would come here besides for the filipino breakfast/lunch. The value is decent ($8.95) for what it is. Warning - fish does come with small bones on it. The rice is deliciously made (not your standard white rice) - have to try it to understand the flavour. The menu is not extensive and straightforward. It's a cozy spot on a corner with perhaps 3 parking spots (and a lot of street parking available).
