If you get the chance to—I would highly recommend trying authentic Vietnamese food from Lan Vietnamese and supporting this small business. I do have to say, it’s on the pricier side of things, especially when it comes to Vietnamese food but it was worth it. My boyfriend and I ordered the crispy wontons, the vegan stir fry sweet sour and spicy rice noodles, and the bun cha obama. Our favourite dish by far was the bun cha obama! It’s a must try and different from other dishes I’ve tried. The owner was also so kind over the phone. I called because I couldn’t find the bun cha Obama on SkipTheDishes but he just told me to write my name down and he would make it for me.

As a Viet born, I really love the decor and the vibe at the store. My husband always wanted to take me here to try better Viet food. However, the broth of the bún bò huế was not hot enough, Pho tasted averaged, the soup was way too cloudy and no herbs or fried dough was served with it. The fried wonton was good, meat is still pink inside. Over all, taste wise is 3 stars, wish I can give more. I guess they are famous for rice dishes rather noodle soup.

I walked by couple times and finally decided to come in. Best decision ever ! This is was day after Thanksgiving and decided to just have Wonton Soup , I didn’t want something too heavy. I asked the waitress if I can just have Wonton without the noodles, with no hesitation she answered so politely. When the soup came ...... OMG the broth was amazing. Tasted so pure. Even the Wontons itself was so good. Barely oily or anything just tasted so simple and with lots of rich flavour from broth. This is not like a typical Pho restaurant. There’s history here. The decor and style of the restaurant makes you feel like you are in Vietnam. Each piece Lan the waitress explain that there is story behind each artwork. It super awesome I will be back !! Definitely recommend this place if you are in Leslieville Queen Street East! Also LAN the Coconut Pineapple Smoothie became my favourite. Ahh no more Jackfruit smoothie :) Thank you for an awesome service !

I can't say enough good things about Lan Vietnamese Restaurant! Have been by a handful of times now and always look forward to returning. Stacey and her family are extremely passionate about their North Vietnamese heritage, and that positive warmth & energy shines through in the authenticity & quality of their dishes. I have frequented a ton of Vietnamese joints, and this is now a Top-5 overall for me let alone the best I have been to in Toronto. Thank you guys for all the continued 'Hanoi hospitality' and we look forward to visiting again soon!

This is not just another pho place. It is an upscale Vietnamese restaurant that offers authentic Vietnamese food that is crafted with ingredients that are imported from Vietnam. The taste of the food is very unique, the texture of their noodles are different from any pho I’ve ever had. There is a good variety of different authentic Vietnamese dishes that I’ve never had and it’s a great opportunity to really get to know real Vietnamese food.

Had the spicy chicken noodle dish which was basically like Pad Thai, it was very flavourful and good. The Beef Pho was also pretty standard and the soup was good. Only thing about this place is that it's a bit on the pricey side for the dishes and portion served, it was otherwise good to try once and service was very friendly

Their spicy rice noodle dish contains the best Tofu I have had in the past month. The entire dish was incredibly delicious! Cozy atmosphere and beyond friendly + attentive service.

A warm family restaurant. You enter the door, you are family. My wife and I arrived 9:15pm and ordered our favorite vegetarian hotpot. We enjoyed the spicy tofu, veggie and rice noodle in hot pot, as well as asian decor and chat with the owner. We left around 10pm hoping not to keep them too late a closing. We did leave full, warm and spirited, ready for home. Thank you for a family dinner!

We two vegetarians LOVE Lan Vietnamese for their flavorful stirs fries, soups, hand wrapped fresh rolls and our new favorite the Vietnamese Pancake - it's a cross between a crepe and an omelette with a delicious filling. The owner Mrs. Lan is so friendly and welcoming, we always look forward to chatting with her. She told us their goal was to introduce next level Vietnamese cuisine to Toronto and they've done it. We feel very lucky that they chose to open in the East End. I should mention they have gluten free and vegan options as well.
