Location is nice, looks good from outside but interior is poor. We order their famous Chicken 65, taste was good but portions was very very less. 6 cubes of chicken around $13. Also their masala dosa that we ordered was very poor in quality. The potato mix was very runny and without any flavours. Staff was good. Considering the inflation and value of money these days, l would suggest to avoid this restaurant and eat something worth your money somewhere else.

Amazing food and service! We asked the server to let us know what are the most popular dishes and he went on to place the whole order on our behalf. We were blown away by how good all the food was and the portions were just right. Totally recomm Nd the chilli chicken and chicken 65. The food was a bit spicy but definitely authentic and full of the Chettinad flavors.

You cannot go wrong visiting Anjappar Chettinad Restaurant for authentic Indian cuisine. Food is on point, as are the prices. Service is "okay." My only "complaint" is the music is too loud to have a comfortable conversation. When will restaurant owners finally understand music is suppose to be in the background, VEWRY LOW, and not being blasted as if you are in some nightclub?

As the other location in Brampton the food was good. As usual the high price for South Indian food. Service need to improve as we experienced few mistakes from the staff. But overall good experience.

Went in for a late night dinner and found that they were serving non veg meals. Having a large appetite that night, we decided to try it out along with Crab soup and some chicken 65. The crab soup was hot and tasty. The chicken 65 was a smaller amount but made well. The non veg meals all about 6 to 7 kattoris and served with a bowl of rice and chapatti. We were pleasantly surprised at how fresh and tasty it was for a meal at 10pm. If you are a hungry bachelor, go for the meal Thali. It will surely bring your hunger and anger down, haha! The restaurant closed at 11pm and yet they were kind enough to let us spend more time there. Friend staff and quick service. My only negative comment was that the dishes were coming out of order (got chicken 65 before soup) and unevenly - so if you are a large group, some people may get their order first while it may take time for others. But hey, that's just a very specific gripe and it's okay to wait a little after all the dishes are budget and saves you a buck! Must try Indian restaurant and a definite recommendation!

We went early for lunch before the weekend lunch crowd. From the mutton soup, to chettinad chicken and pineapple kesari, the dishes were good. The day's special crab dish was great as well. Worth a return trip.

Amazing food. It's always fresh and ready. The place has remained the same since my first visit 10years back and the taste and experience remains the same despite the overwhelming crowd. Definitely try there Spl Fish Fry if you love sea food. It's so fresh and it had amazing taste. It's been such a long time since we tasted such an amazing fish.

Authentic South Indian restaurant . The service is good and the food is delicious. We ordered crab masala and I wanted to lick till the last drop of gravy. The only disappointment is that the food portion doesn't justify the price. Unlike other indian restaurants, whatever one orders is only enough for one may be two people

Scarborough Ontario Anjapper Chettinad Restaurant left a disappointing impression during our visit. The individual taking orders seemed disengaged and not adequately attentive, reflecting poorly on the restaurant's commitment to customer service. The frustration escalated when, despite arriving at 9:30 PM, we were informed that the kitchen was closed. This contradicted the information on their website, which stated a closing time of 10 PM. This inconsistency raises concerns about the accuracy of their operational details and the reliability of their service. Moreover, the limitation on ordering only at a specific time is inconvenient for patrons, especially those expecting flexibility during their dining experience. The unavailability of biryani, a staple in Chettinad cuisine, added to the disappointment, questioning the restaurant's ability to maintain essential menu items throughout their operating hours. Drawing comparisons with Seattle Anjapper restaurant, the Scarborough branch falls short in both food quality and service. The dissatisfaction was exacerbated by the long journey from British Columbia, making the experience even more disheartening. It is crucial for the management to learn from successful counterparts and implement changes to enhance their offerings and overall customer experience. The issue of misinformation regarding closing times requires urgent attention. If the kitchen is closing earlier than the advertised time, updating the website and ensuring consistency in communication is imperative. The discrepancy between the closing time and the availability of the service team until 10 PM adds confusion to the customer experience, highlighting a lack of coordination among staff members. Unfortunately, the lack of pictures due to a switched-off phone prevents us from visually documenting the disappointing experience. However, it's essential to note that the Gobi 65 masala not adhering well to the cauliflower further emphasizes the subpar quality of the dishes served. Consistency in food preparation is fundamental to a positive dining experience, and this aspect was evidently lacking during our visit. In conclusion, Scarborough Ontario Anjapper Chettinad Restaurant's operational inconsistencies, limited ordering times, unavailability of key menu items, and subpar food quality make it a regrettable choice for dining. The management should address these issues promptly, learn from successful counterparts, and prioritize customer satisfaction to salvage the restaurant's reputation in the competitive food industry.

If you want to have a light or a heavy Indian dinner or lunch then I would recommend trying this place out. We tried out onion, Tomato Uthappam, Paper roast dosa, ghee dosa, mysore masala dosa and it was a perfect dinner feel for us. Since the hotel was full, we couldn’t much feel the ambience but we did enjoy the food. Felt the seating arrangements can be managed better to provide even better experience.

Food is just great here! Must try chef special fried rice, mutton bone soup, chicken 65, biriyanis, chilli prawn. One of the best places to munch and fulfil your crave of having Indian cuisine specifically South Indian. Staff is friendly as well and they listen to your needs! They have a buffet as well until noon which is again drooling 🤤

Ir was a first time visit to the restaurant. Ordered Butter Pepper Masala Dosa ! With sweet lemonade. Turned out to be a astonishingly huge. With the price range where you get dosa for single person at other restaurants, turns out to be enough for 2 people here. Must try once

Consider this review being a pakka Andhra Spicy Food lover ... Ordered Andhra style chicken wings and veg meals .. Chicken was crispy but not that much spicy as everyone in reviews described but it tastes okay... Coming to veg meal they given 7 veg curries rasam, aalo, sambar, masala curry, cabbage, carrot beans fry, pickle and curd with a sweet ... Ending with a filter cofee.. not a wow experience but okay for once. BUT AT LAST ORDERED A NORMAL PAROTHA FELT AWESOME...ITS A MUST TRY

Was initially hesitant to go to the Anjappar at Scarborough as we were not satisfied with the one in Mississauga after trying out several times. But this place proved us wrong. Visited with family and friends on a Sunday afternoon. The order was served quick and hot. The chicken lollipop, mutton pepper fry, crab masala and roast are not to miss. The mutton and crab soups were peppery and great for the throat. The mutton and fish meals were delicious. They should work on the prawn fry as it was not up to the mark, not even close to the one served in India . Though the biriyani was flavourful, the chicken was not soft. Though there were sight misses here and there, overall it was a good dining experience.

This is a great place to get authentic south Indian food. They always keep the place very clean, and the staffs are very welcoming and friendly too. They also offer very fast service as the phone orders only takes around 25 min to prepare.

I will not comment on the food as I never got to taste it but to me the food which is served with such energy is better to avoid. Any review comes from an experience which can’t be ignored. Don’t be fooled with the 5 stars reviews, scroll down to view the honest feedbacks. We had to leave the restaurant empty stomach because the manager decided to be a jerk. When I checked the majority of the reviews, I realized that he has been rude to hundreds of people and he wears it on his chest proudly.

One of my favourite restaurant to have perfect Tamil Nadu cuisine!! This branch does a service above and beyond. The food is too good and do check out their daily specials mentioned! From which had Madurai style bun parotta it was extremely soft and good! Do visit!

We had gobi 65 and veg noodles. Tastes so good. Gobi 65 is very crunchy and tasty when dine in. Veg noodles also very tasty. Both dishes are not spicy and kids will love them. We prefer takeout here as this restaurant serves non-veg also.

The food quality and taste were excellent. All the dishes we ordered were beyond our expectations. We ended up ordering a few more dishes to go. The dessert drinks were also very delicious. The restaurant manager Vijay and his crew members were super nice and the food was delivered hot and fast. To take note: The plain basmati rice cost 8 dollars seems costly. The owner needs to reconsider the price and adjust it.

The taste is better than most other chettinad restaurants in Toronto. The manager was very attentive and checked with us every few minutes. We went on Thursday evening and it wasn’t crowded at all. I liked the mutton chukka biryani, Andhra style chicken wings, Cauliflower 65. The south Indian coffee was decent.

We have used to eat Indian food for more than 6 years now. We have ordered Tandoori Full Chicken, Mutton Biryani, Anjappar Chicken Masala, Naan (Garlic, Butter and plain), then the sweet was Gulab Jamun, Mango Lasse, and Masala Tea. Tandoori Chicken was very tasty and was the best along with the butter Naan. Masala Tea has no much flavor/ herbs as we used to drink it in its authentic taste. The Mutton biryani was good and spicy but not the best and there are small pieces of mutton in there. All in all the place is cozy while the lighting was not the best in the middle of the restaurant, unless you are seating nearby the window. We had visited like 1 hour before sunset, so might be they forgot to turn some lighting. The staff was good, smiling and helpful. All it all, it was a good eating there and few more flavors in the food and drink might give a good boost. It is halal as I confirmed with the staff before getting there and again after we came so this is the best to have something almost-authentic and Halal.

Convenient location. Interiors are simple nothing fancy. Staff friendly and prompt. Authentic South Indian food taste. Clean washroom. Best thing is separate basin to just wash hands. Check for spice level when you order :)

I wanted to have a celebratory dinner and as usual Anjappar Chettinad Restaurant was the best place to do it. I was treated like royalty from the minute I stepped into the door. The food was delicious, the team efficient and always ready to help. I love this place and intended to spend many more anniversaries her. Three cheers to the team at Anjappar Chettinad Restaurant. Thank you!!!

It was a good place and ambience to dine in. Loved the ambience as for a while I forgot I was not in India. The food was great but felt like it was a bit over priced. The service was very decent too.

Loved the experience here. The flavors and spices hit the spot. Definitely a go- to spot for chettinad food. The staff was very accommodative. Portion size is good. Tried the ghee dosa, parotta, chettinad curry, Thali, lemonade, medu vada.. everything was amazing. Only the kothu paratha was average. The Mysore masala does not have the red spicy chutney, it's like a regular masala Dosa ( unless they got us a wrong order)

Went on new year for lunch and I regret it straight away. We sat down on their buffet side since the restaurant side was packed but there is no heat. Lot of people complaint but they didn't do anything. Most of them were eating with winter coats on. I ordered Biryani and masala dosai. Took 50 min to get food after following up with 3 different servers. Food was average and got stomach upset. Watch out the quality went down the drain. There are better places to try south Indian food in Scarborough.

Food quality and taste is good especially Mutton Chukka appetizer is awesome. Mutton lovers will definitely love it. Biryani quantity is less, more pieces and less rice.

*Been there 2 times so far* To start with the chutney’s, it’s taste is really mesmerising😍 Both the Dosa’s were so Crispy and Buttery. One cannot resist to re-visit the place and get the hands on the rest of the menu

7 years I have been visiting to this location. Some Time it was issue but most of the time it’s good with quality. But today is total disaster. As a chef and a fellow restaurantar I know the difficulties we face during covid time. So I feel bad to right this , But i am still going ahead to write this disappointing experience. Chef special fried rice - can’t even rate it as negatively. It’s such a shame . Whoever made it, should be ashamed of it especially calling it a chef special. No salt , no flavour, its garbage. it has less flavour than the baby food sold. Chef special noodles - 2 out 10 - even dollar store noodles soup will taste better. Chicken lollipop- average. 5 out 10 . Overall unacceptable food quality for $60. It’s shame that there standard is gone down during the lockdown since other two locations never upto the standard of the name. When I called the store, they Apologized, but ruining my lunch and money , I am still mad and disturbed.

There dine is excellent but unfortunately there take out is very bad quality not the same as all. I ordered mutton biryani for takeout and just got rice and no meat at all. Very disappointed in their quality would give them 0 stars if possible. Avoid takeout at all cost you will get scammed.
