Oil drips with , into and from the food. Server remade the dishes for me but l threw it in trash as it tasted worse. Better avoid this place or get a heart attack with all the oil the food swims in. $60 wasted

One of the worst meals I've ever had. Everything was so oily, salty and no flavor. I usually never waste food but I lost my appetite and threw it. It was soaked in oil. Felt like cholesteral on a plate. They also charged me $4 for egg and didn't even put it in. Nothing was right. Will never order from here again.

Very happy we came to flower lantern vegetarian restaurant! Delicious Vietnamese pho, and also really enjoyed #29, and the appetizer veggie sausage. Very tasty broth which you can buy bulk and take home as well as other groceries. Service was also sweet and friendly. Go check it out for a great vegan option.

Authentic Vietnamese food, an amazing option for vegetarians! A hole in the wall hidden spot but the food speaks for itself. Very fresh food and great service. I got the mock beef vermicelli noodles and will definitely be back to try the rest of the menu!

If you love, and I mean LOVE Vietnamese food and are vegan or vegetarian, this spot is for you. This is an establishment I would bring my family and friends to. Flower Lantern offers all the traditional fare, including; Bún Riêu, Bún Bò Huế, vermicelli and Chả giò (spring rolls). Mock meats are well prepared and are a perfect meat substitute in every dish, whether it be replacing pork, chicken or beef. You can just tell the meat substitutes are well seasoned. My boyfriend ordered the BÚN THỊT NƯỚNG with the shredded pork and pork skewers, and we both agree the dish tasted BETTER than it does with real pork. The atmosphere is bright and inviting, yet calming from the Buddhist peace music. I also appreciated the ambiance. We've been here twice now in the last few weeks and would love to try all the dishes on the menu. Overall amazing quality and super satisfying for a meatless diet.

Love this restaurant!! I've been here many times now and even the owner recognized me! Their food is always on point. I usually get bun bo hue but this time decided to get the tom yum hot pot and it was delicious! Also green mango salad also really good (they ran out of papaya). Definitely recommend!

Fresh stuff! I’d say the appetizers had more of an appeal to me than did the mains, but that’s just me. I’m not the biggest vegan connoisseur, so I’m not sure how much weight by review carries.

The worst restaurant experience ever! My family went to celebrate my birthday after the pandemic when sit in is allowed. During the weekday there were only 2 tables with customers. My friends and I have bought takeout here before the pandemic, so I decided to have a family birthday dinner there. I was shocked! The food was bland and mediocre, the restaurant might have changed ownership or cook during the pandemic. The service was the most appalling I have ever had in a sit down restaurant. We had to asked for napkins three times, the tea wasn't refilled. When we cut my birthday cake they didn't even let us borrow a knife saying there is only 1 knife in the kitchen and they didn't want to wash it. Didn't provide forks or plates for our cake but gave us half cut styrofoam take out containers and plastic spoons to eat my birthday cake with it, citing they didn't want to wash the dishes. What's the point of having a sit down restaurant if they didn't want to do anything? Might as well open a fast food joint with no tables???!!!

Very good vegan meals at a family owned restaurant. The assorted "meat" pad thai was delicious. Also, the mock beef on screwers... that was superb! Service was fast and the lady that served us (I assume she is the owner) was very nice. Would definitely be back for more vegan food!

The dishes are very delicious above my expectations. There are alot of choice for vegetarians. There are still some minor issue with customer Service but at the end the taste of foods is the best. Recommended!!!

I got takeout last night. The woman who gave me my food was super nice and friendly. There is a wide array of vegan options to choose from. My partner got item 63, which was so so tasty, especially the skewer. I got item 21, the pho, and it was also super tasty. The broth was delicious and the flavours were very warming (had traditional pho spices that you don’t typically get with vegetarian pho at other places— so tasty), the noodles were perfect, and I loved that were were so many different mock meats (3 different ones!) and tofu (crispy tofu and tofu skin) included. I would absolutely come back and try out the other menu item. I recommend this spot to anyone!

Such an amazing vietnamese place with all vegetarian and loads of vegan options. Service is top notch and the food is so yummy that we never get enough of it. A must-try for anyone. For pho, we usually get #23 (if you dont like spicy food) and #29 (for spicy option).

I knew about this restaurant through "Discovery around" on Google Map. It is nice that they all get good reviews. We planned to come to the restaurant to know more about the service and the restaurant but then we didn't. Hopefully we will come to try dine-in experience at Flower Lantern Vegetarian Restaurant. We ordered a dish with rice, egg cake, shredded pork and grill pork chop; and a vermicelli with spring roll, grilled beef, shrimp with sugar cane and something like pork skewer. I did ask for exrra fish sauce and they all prepared the take-out so carefully. The portion is good and worth the price. we all turned out so full after this. I would love to come here one day. Would recommend this for someone vegetarian and also non-vegetarian around North York.

It was our first time trying this cuisine and we were not disappointed at all. All these dishes were recommended by server. We loved the fried rice and spring rolls. The broth was really filled with flavours, but our choice of noodles was wrong, maybe thin noodles would be better fit for it. They also server sugarcane juice, which was refreshing.

Friendly service with tasty food :”) We tried the Imitation Duck & Vegetable on Pan - Fried Noodle and the Veggie Salty Fish & Soy Chicken Fried Rice. The Noodle won us over and the Fried Rice was also delicious. The secret is that they have marinated bean curds and were skillfully processed to create a chewy and mouth-watering flavour. Honestly speaking, similar to what other reviews stated, the dishes are indeed pretty oily, however the green bean sprouts help balancing the taste so it’s not too bad. If you are used to Southeast Asian dishes then this would be right up your alley.

I love this place. I've been ordering from them for about a year now through Uber eats. I used to live at Albion/Kipling for a while and it was a quick delivery + delicious food always. I love their Vegan theme and I also love their Vegan Banh Mi's. I went in for the first time I few weeks ago to pick up my order and I saw they had like vegan stuff for sale like grocery stuff, and Im gonna go back and buy that next time I pick up an order. Thanks for being such a good Vegan restaurant, a reliable one with good food.

This place is awesome! I came with my friend for lunch, we're both vegan and very into Asian cuisine. This place delivered on both fronts! Such a sweet and attentive waitress, delicious food, and some of the most unique options I've ever seen! I'll definetly be coming back and recommending to my vegetarian and vegan friends.

Delicious food! Amazing service! It was my first time trying Vietnamese, and I wasn’t disappointed at all. The server greeted us with tea (on the house) and told us about the food. The taste was amazing and fully vegetarian. They even give you onion-garlic free options to try and even sell vegetarian fish oil. Would definitely recommend.

I drove here after work to order banh mi, never tried this restaurant so I wanted to give it a try. I called the restaurant to place an order for a vietnamese sub. Their website states that the subs are 4.50 each, when I arrived there the lady told me 5 bucks for the sub then she told me because the order is under $25 there is a .50 cent charge. I told her that's fine, she charged me .60 cent instead of .50 cent as she said.. lol. I gave a dollar tip as well so that brought it up to 6.59. I took a bite and spat it out as it was dry and cold. Unfortunately the other vietnamese sub restaurant in the same plaza are closed on Wednesday otherwise I would have just went there. First and last time.

The spring rolls were dry, but the rest of our food was delicious. Our order came out quick, and the server was very sweet.

So exciting to see an all vegan comfort food restaurant. The staff and vibe was awesome even though I was just picking up food. The calamari was SO good, the sandwiches I got were almost too spicy for me and not listed as spicy but still good.

Hidden gem for vegetarians and vegans. Although Toronto has many vegan restaurants, most of them serve western or pub fare. It can get boring. I’m so glad I found this place near my home. I’ve ordered takeout from here many times and was never disappointed. It has the most authentic mock beef and pork I’ve ever tasted. It’s also very VERY affordable compared go veg places downtown. I recommend their dry rice noodle dishes, spring rolls, beef side dish, or “duck” soup.

Ordered takeout from this place. Spring rolls were really good as was the mango salad. The vegetable hot pot was awesome as well with really fresh salad leaves and many types of tasty tofu.

I can't say enough about this place. I've recently had some dietary restrictions where I have to cut down on certain meats. I've always struggled finding places that followed those restrictions and still tasted amazing and authentic. I always crave Vietnamese food, but am usually stuck ordering some basic chicken dish. I was so happy to find this authentic vegetarian Vietnamese place. I couldn't be happier. First time I came, I walked in as they were cleaning. I had no idea I walked in 10 minutes after close. The owner was so nice to ask what I wanted. And I tried to order something that wouldn't take too long or be too troublesome to make. I ordered the vegan banh mi and boy was I not disappointed. My only regret was not ordering more. This place is now my wife and I's go to place whenever we are around the area. Definitely check it out because you will not be disappointed. Support this wonderful and hard working family restaurant. They deserve it.

One of my favourite vegan restaurants in the whole city. The Bo Lui Nuong Chay is absolutely delicious and the Bun Bo Hue Chay is one of my favourite comfort foods.
