KaSpace is so disorientingly exhilarating. When you first enter, it's easy to mistake it for a high-end boutique (with its beauty products on display) or posh spa (with its soothing music and a fragrant smell that lingers in the air). It's only when you see the menu board and coffee / baked goods bar that you get confirmation that, yes, this is the right place and yes, they do serve food. Once we got our bearings, we zeroed in on our meal and got: - Kevin's Breakfast: If it's named after the owner (who makes it himself), you've got to try it. This was scrambled eggs, tempeh bacon, hashbrown and salad served in what can be described as a high-end tupperware container. Well executed standard breakfast fare. - Ackee Brunch: Loved this. Jamaican scrambled ackee with peppers, plantains, hashbrown and salad, we were warned by Kevin that it could be spicy. It was, but in the best way - flavourful, tasty, a good kick to the tastebuds. - Carrot Cake: This might possibly be my most favourite carrot cake in the city. I dont know how else to describe it but to say it tasted like Christmas. - Banana Bread: OMG so good! The banana bread itself was moist, but it's the coconut (?) cream cheese icing that put it over the top. - Lychee Cactus Pear juice: Refreshing, not overly sweet, strong lychee flavour. Kevin and Iyana are so welcoming, creating a space that makes you feel calm and open. Sounds a bit dramatic, yes. And the more cynical side in me might say KaSpace is pretentious and overpriced. But you know what? That's its beauty and power: it fills you with such a positive vibe that you can't help but enjoy yourself while you're there. Part tummy-filler, part experience-maker, definitely recommend paying KaSpace a visit.

Was transported to a mini heaven via KASPACE Cafe today!! Walked in to experience beautiful aromas and warm greetings. Took a seat at one of the stylish and immaculately clean tables. Then experienced the most delicious, freshest and nutritious eggs, lentil and chickpea dishes (let's not forget about a side of plantain!) so fragrant and tasty that you have no choice but to savour each bite. A huge range of fresh, organic tropical drinks too!!! The owners are incredibly GRACIOUS and GRACEFUL and are doing something SO unique in Toronto. I would rate this in the top 5 brunch places to eat at in Toronto, possibly even #1. Treat yourself to a mini heaven!!!!

Came across this gem by chance but they say everything happens for a reason. We were greeted with love and a wonderful atmosphere. The concept is one of a kind combining food made with great ingredients, apothecary products, and a spiritual sense of interaction. Loved every second of being here. Definitely coming back for more of everything they provide!

Unique space to have a light lunch or coffee in Leslieville. Atmosphere: mix of clothing, mini market interspersed with tables and a kitchen at the end. Staff: warm, friendly and knowledgeable about the food. Coffee: strong, and came in mugs, felt like I was relaxing at home. Food: Had the Akee brunch, well spiced, has a kick from the scotch bonnet...didn't even realize I was having vegan food! Came with Roti which was the perfect balance of flakey and doughy goodness and hashbrown. We had the pleasure of meeting Kevin, the chef...friendly and by the taste of the food, I can tell he puts his passion in the recipes. Also had pineapple lemonade, not too sugary, just the right tartness and pineapple. Lastly was pleasantly surprised with plantains, perfect ripeness with a hint of salt. Food came out hot and in tins...nice touch. Cost: $17 for brunch, latte around $5. Lemonade was a bit on the higher end $7.50. Nice casual intimate atmosphere. Overall: will come back!

The atmosphere in KASPACE is wonderful. The food was delicious and both my wife and I felt that the food was filled with love. Only afterward did I read that Chef Kevin had the intention to "transfer invisible energy through his food!" Well... we sure felt the energy. ✨️ The Ackee Brunch, Vegan Scramble, Avocado Toast were all mouth-watering. The salad they provided tasted SO GOOD. And the Banana Bread was THE BEST banana bread we have EVER eaten. I rarely say that "the energy and vibe felt peaceful and positive" at a restaurant, but it really does. We will be back. ❤️🙏✨️

I can’t say enough good things about Kaspace! The food was fantastic - I told the owner that if everyone cooked like him we’d all be vegetarians. We had the Ackee and salted tofu as well as the lentil Jamaican patty and both were packed full of flavour and delicious. My husband who’s a meat lover even loved the food! Moreover, the customer service is one of the best I’ve ever had - we had two young kids and the owner gave us some hash browns and bread on the house for them. Such genuine people and I can’t wait to go back to try other things. As a heads up the store looks a bit more like a retail store than a restaurant, at first we thought we were in the wrong place but I didn’t see that there was a little kitchen on the side. Just ask for the menu and enjoy a great dining experience and fantastic food!!

AN AMAZING EXPERIENCE 🥹💕 I went for my birthday brunch and had an amazing time! The coffee and food was absolutely phenomenal! I specifically got the Rasta Bowl and it’s to die for! So filling and so delicious. The chickpeas were fantastic! This place has a clean, beautiful aesthetic. You can tell that this place was designed thoughtfully with so much detail. It’s not only the interior that blew me away but the amazing people running the store and were so lovely and warm. They didn’t have to be that nice but they were so loving and kind. They gave me a muffin as we were leaving because my husband told them it was my birthday 🥺💕 Thank you so much Kevin and thank you to the beautiful human who was serving us this morning.

This place is absolutely amazing, I loved the food, the atmosphere, and the staff. I sat outside after a long hike and the seating, while a bit small, was still an excellent vibe. The owner or manager came out and my kid asked for a grilled cheese and they made it for us even though it wasn't on the menu. The food is a bit pricey but 100% worth it, I compared it to my moms own home Jamaican cooking and she had to come herself and judge.

Wonderful staff, amazing vibes and great coffee. I tried the Ackee brunch and was impressed. So flavourful.. simply a pleasure. This was my second visit, and I’m definitely coming back for more. It kind of feels like home. Special thanks to the owner and the staff.

Everything about this place is magic. A super relaxing space where you feel like you’ve arrived at a friend’s house to just hangout with delicious food. The food is next level in terms of flavour that fills the soul. The roti (a secret recipe) has the fluffiness of a crepe and the flakiness of a croissant without the heavy feeling. Each time we come visit is always a treat.

I am not vegan and this was one of the best brunches I have ever had. Love that it's conveniently located in the heart of Leslieville. Also appreciate the use of reusable takeout containers which kept the food piping hot. Will definitely come here again.

After a long day of walking, KASPACE Cafe was the perfect place to stop and recharge. The menu sounded so delicious that I could not help but taking more than one meal. And was I happy that I did. The food is unbelievably delicious that I probably could have eaten even more. And it is overshadowed only by the lovely, warm and welcoming people working there who I had the pleasure talking to. I will most definitely visit again whenever I am in the area, and would recommend to anyone to do the same.

I was there last Saturday with a couple friends and we were blown away. The food was delicious and very clearly made with love. The server and chef were absolutely incredible: so personable, kind, attentive, and funny! The space itself is also beautiful: great art and furniture and overall aesthetic. I can't wait to return!

Incredible food! Even as a meat-eater, this is some of the best food I've had in Toronto. The lentils and chickpeas were deliciously seasoned, truly felt like an amazing home cooked meal. Very chill vibe and atmosphere, friendly service - this place deserves a lineup out the door.

I love this café so much! Everything they make is so delicious. I often go for protein smoothies and I'm addicted. More than the food and coffee, the atmosphere is stunning. Zeila is so warm and welcoming. It truly feels like a community when you step in this café. Highly recommend!

The decor, service, and art was fantastic. The owner and servers were friendly. The vegan food was delicious too, just the right amount of flavours, and so eco-friendly in tin containers to keep the food warm. My favourite was the roti with dripping butter. I can't believe the fish was vegan fish! It looks so real, it even has a bone (ha ha). The interior design is bright, artistic with lots of knick knacks, art, books, paintings. The basement is like an art gallery, quite chill and curious. I highly recommend this vegan place!!!!

Thanks for your kindness and hospitality today, Kevin and team! I was excited to try the ackee and it was so delicious I kept trying to sneak bites at traffic lights all the way home. And I was thrilled to be able to use Suppli takeout containers for the first time too. I'll be back!!

One of the small number of veggie spots in the east end; wanted to try as I was new to Jamaican cuisine and to support a BIPOC business. Got the ackee brunch (vegan equivalent of Jamaica’s national dish) which CAN be made WITHOUT the scotch bonnet pepper base for all the heat-intolerant folks! My first time having it, so I have no idea if this is the norm or not...for anyone else unfamiliar: it was extremely salty. As in, was a bit of a struggle to get through the meal, which was sad given the flavours were great (even the salad dressing seemed to be loaded with sodium. No respite within the meal itself...) Also reeeaally oily. The container was glistening thoroughly after I’d finished eating. Lovely space though. Desserts looked tasty. Would love to try something else if I knew there would be half the salt and oil in it, but otherwise I’d have to pass.

One of the best vegan restaurants in Toronto. A chill vibe, great food, and friendly staff makes you feel at home. I love this place and the people here!

Run, don’t walk here. This place is fantastic. If you are searching on Google and debating going, the debate is over, decision has been made and you’re going! The food is fantastic, the space is warm and inviting, the drinks are great, and the staff could not be more friendly. I don’t live in the area, but this is a clear space that functions as an important community hub. Please go here, you won’t be disappointed.

One of my favourite spaces in the east end of Toronto. The vibe of the space is so positive, modern, and chic. The food is phenomenal. I highly recommend the ackee brunch and/or Rasta bowl. The fresh guava juice is also unreal. Lastly, the service by all the people there is so warm and friendly. I couldn’t sing higher praises for this space.

Super nice atmosphere and the staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating! I definitely had a really good time catching up with old friends. A little pricey (although I'm not local so this may not be a fair comparison) but the tasty coffee, brunch foods and baked goods + welcoming vibe were more than enough to make up for it. I would definitely come back again the next time I'm back in Toronto.

This place is far too bougie for its own good. Menu prices don’t reflect actual prices charged (which you only find out once they charge you) and the atmosphere is hardly warm or welcoming—- not a fan of up-selling gentrifiers who think an omelette is worth $25 and then end up charging you double. Sorry! I know it’s supposed to be a hip place but all I got was hub for rich organic wannabe robots.

I enjoyed meeting Kevin, he was warm and gave me a genuine welcome 🙏🏽. The customer service was friendly and helpful and the space was indeed relaxing. I ordered two smoothies and two Ital meal and it satisfied the craving. Hope to visit again and show some more support.

First this place astecticky looks great but and there is a but . I think they should serve on plate as opposed to little metal boxes as it's hard to really eat the food comfortably, The online menu said avocado comes with our meal and we did not receive it and I would appreciate if they made their own hash browns instead of buying the supermarket hashbrowns and frying them to a crisp. The service was slow even though there were only 2 other couples... Not sure I'll be going back. .

We popped in today and were warmly welcomed. We have the avocado toast- it was a generous portion of fresh ingredients. Lovely service. I can tell this place is a labour of love- every detail looked after. What a unique eclectic place to be. Reflects the owners creative soul, I can tell. Will be back!

Loved the jerk lentil and ackee patty we got! Flavours are excellent, quality is clear, portions were generous and love their impact on the environment-- they partnered with Suppli so I can eat my takeout meal in reusable containers (not plastic!!) that I can return. Can't wait to try other items on their menu!

I ate at Kaspace for the first time today and I loved it! The food was so delicious and the cafe had a lovely atmosphere. The staff was SO friendly. They gave me a free pineapple lemonade on the house! I can't wait to eat there again. They had a vegan carrot cake that looked really good.

The best tofu scramble I have even tasted! The owner and staff are so friendly and nice - the most amazing welcome to the city!! Perfect for vegans and non-vegans - don’t miss out!

This place is great! The staff are always very friendly. They also recently started selling gluten-free cookies. It has been very hard to find gluten-free baked goods in Toronto's east end and I just wanted to give them a shout out because the cookies were SO amazing! The chocolate chip and sea salt cookie is the best gluten-free cookie I have ever had. They have a few other flavours too that were also tempting. Such a great find for anyone with gluten allergies!

Just wow. Has to be the most beautiful space in Toronto. The products are curated with such love and care. The folks who work there... pure heart. I will definitely be back to slowly try everything they produce. Although, when I left, I was filled up by the experience regardless. Gratitude to all you're doing Kaspace x

Just went across this cafe today. And i have to say THEIR BREAKFAST SANDWICH AND THE ICE COFEE ARE MY NEW FAVOURITE NOW. i just work across the street. And idk why i have never trued this place. It’s so hard to find vegetarian options. But they have so many vegetarian options. The staff was very nice and welcoming. It was my first time there today, they interior is so beautiful. They also explained how they use everything organic. Which i loved. Definitely coming back and bringing my friends to try this gem in leslieville. ❤️

Real vegan food, loads of love and patience, take-away without single-use rubbish - really recommendable !!! My husband and me came here this morning to have a vegan breakfast and discovered this place to be so much more: a haven for silence-seekers and trust-givers. I had the vegan breakfast sandwich and my husband the vegan scrambled "eggs". Both were delicious - made with patience (15 minutes) and are worth the wait. We could take the food to the beach and brought the containers and the cutlery back after our bath in the sun. On that occasion we also took another home-made juice because the ones from the morning were such a delight. You should try it! The café does not offer many seats to eat on site though, maybe some 14 chairs in total. But you'll find good cosmetics and the like there as well. So, go ahead!

Had a nice meal in this elegant place. The Ackee Brunch, Jamaica style of scramble egg, prepared by Kevin is really tasty. The lychee/cactus/pear juice is equally nice. Food is good and the staff is friendly. Highly recommend it to any foodies.

It's the best. My wife and I were committed regulars after one visit. Staff are awesome and friendly. The food is amazing and they've got vegan options galore! Try the Acker, I promise you'll love it. Great products for your skin and hair as well.

An absolute gem that cannot be boxed or defined in one way. Great vibes, stomach-happy food, and super high quality products!! Everything served by the brilliant owner is well thought through and vetted for excellence with a humble elegance. Can’t wait to come back and experience more!

Some of the best breakfast we’ve ever eaten! We had the vegan ackee breakfast and it was absolutely amazing. We also had a chance to try the carrot cake and brownie (both vegan too!) and they were incredible as well. Not only is the food is amazing - the staff were all so kind and generous, and helped us with any questions we had during our visit. We picked up some home/pantry items and couldn’t be happier with them! We love the Coco Dream lotion so much - and the ketchup and scotch bonnet hot sauce I will definitely be a staple for us! Can’t wait to try everything else. We absolutely loved this place and can’t wait to go back! Thank you so much for making us feel so cared for.

Hi KASPACE Cafe, simply put I cannot remember the last time I enjoyed a meal this much in Toronto. I picked up the ackee/tofu meal and the curry chic pea meal this past Tuesday, incredibly fresh and wonderful flavor. Thank you! Oh yeah, loved your reusable take out containers and the patty was so good I'm getting six for home on my next visit.

Absolutely fantastic place! Came across this place from a quick search for a place to eat and couldn't be happier. The staff are friendly, the space is modern and trendy, and the food is vibrant and absolutely delicious! I ate everything too quickly to take pictures but will definitely be dropping by again. Thank you!

I have had many of the items of the menu and every single dish is SO delicious and really healthy. The really extraordinary thing though, is that everything is made with incredible care and beautiful energy - you can feel it in the food. It is a very special place.

I felt that the food wasn't great, it was unevenly seasoned and didn't feel especially fulfilling. Great plantain though. Mind you also only had the vegan food so maybe the rest of it is better.

While I haven't formally eaten here just yet, my co-worker generously gave me an apple-cinnamon muffin that was given to them, for free, by the kind staff at KASPACE. It was seriously the greatest muffin I have ever had in my entire life and now I really have to try other food here! We are talking life-changing, mind-blowing muffin -- what kind of flour do you guys use? 💛
