Terrible price. Sorry, but you're just not as good as you used to be. Chips are never crisp anymore, pale and soggy. 1 small fish, 1 small chips, 1 smal curry sauce........nearly £10!!! Won't be going back after using this place for over 30 years!

Been coming here for years and it’s has been fantastic . Not any more for me . just now greasy fish and warmed up chips (Fish fryer does not even bother to drain the fats . I personally would now not bother .same happened to the altrincham shop ( wouldn’t bother woth that one neither .

The oil the fish was cooked in was very old it and could do with changing didn't make the fish taste very good, and I'm sure when u have different fish on the menu u should say which fish u are using as the one I had was nothing like cod or even haddock!

Very popular fish and chip takeaway shop. A good choice of fish from cod, haddock, and plaice, and other choice of food. Fish batter is perfect for us, and chips cooked fresh and they are delicious. Other choices are varied, and the fishcakes are good.

Sorry guys but the chips are a let down at the moment. Soggy and clumped together not what I've had in the past from here.

All I can say is GREASY It was disgusting. However the dogs enjoyed it. Second time coming here and first was just as bad, but thought they’d maybe had a bad day Had fish n chips, swimming in grease Won’t be going again

They had no large cod! What they did have was beautiful white fish that was cooked to perfection. I just wish I still lived near enough to go every week. With fish like this I will probably never get to have the Manc delicacies of meat pies and steak and kidney pudding. Great chippy and the staff were taking the mick out of each other. Sure sighn of a happy ship. We went at tea time not dinner time!!!!

Called in tonight for a chippy tea.After a disaster at home before eating I had to go back to the shop and re order the staff were amazing and didn't charge me for the replacement fish and chips. Great customer service you really helped me out. Thank you so much 😀

The service was fine. The food was horrible. The chips were undercooked and there were overcooked chips in the batch as well ( they must have old chips in the oil?). We decided to go here because we heard it was award winning but unfortunately we were disappointed.

Going downhill lately. Chips undercooked and mush peas just taste of salt. Don’t know if they are sacrificing food quality for quick turnaround or what.

Our go to chippy. Everything is good. Never had any issue with the service the quality of the food or the freshness of the food.

Absolutely beautiful food and to top it it’s all (apart from the lids) eco friendly wrapping 😍🙌 I use my own recycled forks so not sure what the forks are. If I could do cartwheels I would 🙌😍🤪 I was a little worried as hadn’t been in a while and heard it had changed hands. I had nothing to worry about, everything still mouth-wateringly tasty. Went to pick up a pre order at a given selected time. I was on the dot the food was hot and ready for us. Lol Oh except for the plastic lids 🤦‍♀️😬 I did get a fish but my 16yr 10mth old baby girl ate most of it for me 🐶🙄😅🫶 she’s in kidney failure so whatever she wants she can have. That’s what the vets said too (except beef!) Anyway my little pooch said it’s the best fish she’s ever tasted !! And I absolutely agree 🙃 Best chippy ever ! Enjoy 😃

Wife went for fish and chips for us all checked on their website and it said shut 20.30. She arrived 2 minutes past 8 and the shutters were half down so I phoned and told them she was outside and it says 20.30. Was told they changed the time to 20.00 but didn't even offer to serve my Mrs who was stood at the door. Always lovely food but poor customer service so will be going elsewhere from now on. Been going here for donkeys years, also they havnt changed the time on their website.

We live in Sale but often buy here as it's worth the drive because it's consistently better than most of the chippies in the area.

Fish is nice and crispy. You get top service every time you go. The staff are very helpful and polite. lovely food every time. They cater for vegans and gluten free too.

Ring before you go. Very unreliable this is the 3rd time I have been only to find it closed with note on shutters but web site saying open. Won't bother again

Always brilliant. Busy tonight, but there's plenty of staff to keep the queue moving. Fish and chips, sausage and chips, curry sauce, a barm and a small portion for the kids. Friday night feast.

Genuinely some of the best fish and chips I've had and it's consistently this good every time I go. The mushy peas and tartar sauce are a little pricey but worthwhile additions too.

Just visiting a relative in area so first time trying this chippy as many previous stops we had varied takeaways (Indian, Chinese etc etc) - non memorable This chippy will certainly be one we return to again. Lovely chips and decent portion plus excellent Cod. We all agreed a thumbs up Friendly staff and great service - well done and thanks 👍

Superb. A proper traditional chippie. We actually travel to Urmston from the city centre and have haddock and chips in the car. Well worth a visit.

Tasty choice of a couple kinds of fish, chips and the usual other options you can get from a chipper. Decent portions. A little expensive, but I guess that's the new normal.

I brought chippy lunch yesterday really good crispy battered cod and chips nice and fresh. good service. Also the tray and forks were recyclable.
