Staff was prompt and friendly. Prices were very reasonable. Come here for breakfast!! People often mention time, good, ordered, chips, amazing, staff, lunch, breakfast, delicious, waitress,

Great food and salsa (which is spicy) My husband had the number 1 which was delicious and I had the chicken flatas which were great but there was an issue with my food which the waitress was quick to take my food back and fix.

First time here. It was okay. I feel they need to upgrade there entrees a bit. The seemed a bit blah. I ordered the Fajita Burrito and it came with rice and beans. It tasted good but wished it came with guacamole and sour cream on the side and a bit of lettuce also. Love the big cups they had for drinks. Worth a try if in the area. Would come back to try other dishes.

(Update below this.. and not a good one) March 2022: Absolutely LOVE eating here!! My go-to order is shredded beef burrito with green chile, smothered in queso. As well as rice and beans on the side. The flavor on the meat is just *chef's kiss* AMAZING.👌🏼 The chile cheese fries are excellent as well. Definitely recommend, 10/10 Update: I came here with my family during Old Fashioned Christmas of 2022, and one of my family members was in a wheelchair. I told said family member that he can go inside to be warm and order our food to-go while I waited outside with my dog. Staff saw him, MULTIPLE TIMES may I add and purposely ignored him and served at least 2 groups behind him. This lasted up to 50 minutes. We (and another group of people behind him who saw what was happening) ended up going somewhere else because of their discrimination toward said family member. I have never had a problem with their service until that day and I still find it so upsetting that I refuse to go here again even though the food is wonderful. Such a shame tbh.

Decent food, but even their hottest chili isn't hot. I think I might bump the stars regarding food up to 5 if they brought in some heat. Prices are fair. Portions are healthy. Service is a bit slow in the busy time, a problem that could probably be resolved by having designated cashier personnel, but small town life operates a bit slower. All in all, this is a frequent spot for me.

El Faro is a must try restaurant in T or C. I was worried for a while because the quality had changed but recently it became apparent that was only temporary. The last few months it's been only the amazing Mexican food I love. I recommend trying the El Jefe if you're up for a challenge

I love the food here. 9/10. (Only because it doesn't make me full, portions are a little small but overall delicious and worth it) my only real issue is whenever I go in there, I don't get greeted. Ever. I'm told "just sit where you want and someone will help you shortly." And then after about 15 minutes waiting for them to ask me what I want, one of the young waitresses will come up to me and it seems they are so busy that they forget to have a good attitude! Not that they are rude. But they just take your order real quick and you see them walking around but they never check on you. I watched one young man sit for over an hour without even getting a drink. Finally a cook I belive came and offered him a drink. Overall food is amazing. I just think the staff needs a little TLC and customer service training. As it can make the atmosphere feel rushed and not really enjoyable.

While in Truth or consequences we visited this establishment 3 times. Twice we came at night and had the most amazing experience. Everything was taken care of so quickly, waitress was extremely kind and welcoming and food was amazing. Truly an above and beyond experience. We also came for lunch and had a different server and a completly different experience. We were left ungreeted and without menus for a very long period of time. The server did rush by us and say sorry for the wait at one point, which was fine it was busy, but it would have been nicer waiting with menus as we wanted to try something different this time. After awhile we considered leaving but I loves the food so much we waited. Finally got drinks and ordered. Noticed we didn't get chips this time and thought maybe they didn't do that for lunch, but then the table next to us got chips and we started to wonder if the server just didn't like us. The first order she brought out was wrong, but clearly a miscommunication so no problem. But then the second order brought out was also wrong. I ordered chicken and got beef. At this point it was starving so just ate it. Was still amazing so whatever. Because everything had been so slow I had told her when she brought out our lunch that we wanted flan for desert. We finished the meal, put our plate on the edge of the table and again were ignored. I eventually walked up to the counter and ordered dessert there. We also had a coffee that we never got a refill for, but just gave up on. We were there for well over an hour when we just wanted a quick lunch. Still giving it a 5 star review because the dinner server went so above and beyond. Maybe just don't go for lunch.

This restaurant has a relaxed, family feeling. We ordered a beef taco salad and the crust was so light and fluffy; it was delicious! Everyone was friendly and helpful and very kind. With delicious food and kind hospitality, we will be back.

Great food. Wonderful flavors. It gets busy around lunch so go early or after 1pm. My favorite is the red chili chimichanga with shredded beef. Really good chips and Salsa

First time visiting this place & ordered the hamburger with green Chile & fries. The fries tasted good like homemade but service was slow! Only seen 2 servers working that day so this business might be short staffed. Took a while to get service & waitress didn't check up on us or if we needed our drinks refilled.

Stopped in for dinner. Didn't see any staff but heard someone yell to sit where ever. Waited over 5 minutes for someone to bring us menus. The young lady didn't smile and wasn't friendly at all while taking our drink order. Waited another 5-10 minutes for our drinks and chips and salsa brought by another waitress. However, our food was good. We had yet another waitress bring us our bill. Non of the waitresses were friendly or smiled. How do you expect any one to stop by with or return when you have grumpy wait staff??

Nice little bar type restaurant in downtown T or C. Good food and atmosphere, friendly staff. The chips and salsa were excellent. I had the enchiladas montadas. 2 eggs over red cheese enchiladas. Great flavor. Will definitely go back.

I've dined here for breakfast twice and I ordered the Huevos a la mexicana both times and enjoyed the way it came out most definately, my father said that the chorizo was good also. There's only so many options to eat out at in this town, I recommend El Faro. Service was great too. A fair amount of parking and nice location. Nice atmosphere, nice lighting.

I used to love this place. Would visit every time we were in Tor C. At least six times a year. However, the last two times we visited were less than stellar. The sign out side said open until 8 but they told us they closed at 3 (we let that go). Then this last time, we were sat and waited 45 minutes, never to receive our food. While waiting, our drinks and chips and salsa were never refilled. The waitress never checked in with us. We decided to leave and when we paid for the drinks, rather than being apologetic they scolded us for not waiting for our food. Sadly, will not be going back.

Favorite place in town. I've been there dozens of times. The service is excellent. The food is wonderful. I highly recommend the Mexican Hamburger Steak, the Skirt steak, the chimichanga, and the shrimp tacos. The salsa that comes with the chips is amazing! You can choose your spice level to customize your meal too! All that just a couple steps from the brewery. A+

Lived near TorC for almost a year and hadn't stopped in. Walked past this morning, starving and decides to stop in. Did not disappoint! Got the chilaquiles special and it was tasty, hot, filling and eggs cooked perfectly. SO got an omelette, it was HUGE. Will have to stop in for lunch or dinner soon. For the price, can't be beat, and better than a lot of NM food we've had in town.

The food is amazing! My husband and I ate here twice during our stay in T or C. Both times the food was hot, fresh, and tasty! Our servers were friendly and took great care of us. We will definitely eat here again the next time we visit.

The chips were thick and cold. We had to call the waitress several times to ask for water refills and then she would forgot and we would have to ask again. The restaurant was not crowded. There were only four of us at our table. My taco salad was bland. We will not return. There are much better options in this area.

Consistently hearty and delicious! We've already gone twice for breakfast and once for lunch just 3 days into our 5 day stay. Everything is so flavorful! The breakfast eggs, bacon, potatoes, and corn tortillas are all top notch. The pancakes are fluffy and the French toast was great. Their carne asada burrito was also delicious and the guacamole was tasty, too! You sit down at any clean table and they bring out chips and salsa--the salsa has a good amount of kick and at first I wasn't sure about the flavor but it really grows on you. The food takes a bit of time to prepare but it's well worth the wait.

I arrived in town in the late afternoon and after checking into my Airbnb, I went looking for a place to eat I hadn't eaten anything substantial all day and was pretty hungry. This was the first place I saw after looking at numerous places via google map. Walked in about 4 pm. there were 3 other tables with people at them. The staff just looked at me when I came in and I had to ask if I should seat myself, they said go ahead. The 2 waitresses dilly dallied a bit before they brought chips, menu and asked what I wanted to drink. They have a bar seating area but do not serve alcohol.. strange. I ordered iced tea/ half and half sweet non sweet. I also ordered the beef Taco salad with extra guacamole and Sour cream. Most places are pretty chinses with it so I always get more While I waited for my food, they started rearranging the tables and seating, making large groupings, I overheard them talking about a group of 8 and one of 12 coming in at 5pm. And then one said pretty loudly to the other that it was nice when people called ahead of time to reserve a place!! Are you kidding me? I'm a table of 1! As 5 pm was approaching, the different parties came straggling in but also another group of 6 came in without reservations... you could just see the waitresses becoming aggravated. I ate my Taco Salad (ok but a tad small) then asked for to go containers for the huge amount of extra guac and sour cream. They gave you alot on the salad and as an extra side , Best thing about the place but I got an eye roll on that request. I then paid for my meal and got out of there. The service leaves much to be desired. Will definitely look for another restaurant. for the next 2 days I'm in town.

It was good. Hit the spot. We took our meals over to the Brewery across the street. Had a fun chat with the staff while I was waiting. Solid fare. I enjoyed it.

Big, clean downtown restaurant. The food was actually pretty good, just had an egg breakfast. Great coffee and service. One star off for food temp. Nothing except fried potatoes was actually hot. Eggs cooled off so fast I could not finish them. Super nice wait staff.

The staff was lovely and the place was packed. I ordered enchiladas - they were completely inedible, the sauce had a weird chlorine taste and the entire thing was smothered in way too much cheese. My partner got the tacos. They were kind of like if you did a basic taco night at home. Fine. But nothing great or special about them.
